Hello again, everyone! I'm back once again, and of course, I'm back with Scene 2 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine! Yep, this ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic isn't stopping any of my writing or my creative side at all, so this musical will continue to grow, scene by scene, until its finally all finished down the road. In this scene of the musical, we will get introduced to Lincoln's best friend Clyde and his parents! Yep, just another introductory scene within this musical, but important to the show nonetheless. And yes, there will be another musical number in this scene! Well let's not get delayed anymore, and we'll just sit back, relax, turn off all of our electronic devices, and begin Scene 2 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine!

Lincoln (opens front door and steps out): As you just say, a typical morning in a crowded house like mine is very chaotic. (steps forward and closes door behind him) However, in the summertime like right now, after breakfast, most of my sisters usually go out for a large chunk of the day, mainly to do their own thing. For example, Luan has a gig job called" Funny Business Inc", where she performs for various birthday parties. She can pull of any kind of clown for ANY type of themed birthday party, from regular clowns, to pirate clowns, from French mimes, to even a jester from the medieval times. (steps down the porch's front steps) And then there's Lynn Jr, who primarily spends most of her day either playing at various sporting matches or playing sports at home. Oh, and let's not forget about Lisa, who usually either does science presentations at the local university, "Royal Woods University" as a guest speaker, or video chats with scientists from a science institute. And those are just some examples of what I'm talking about. Basically, we usually do our own things during a large chunk of the day. And me? Well, that's easy...(steps down off the steps and onto the stage) On a typical summer day like this one, I usually spend the day with my best friend, Clyde McBride! (puts hands on his hips)

Clyde (offstage voice to the left): Did someone say my name?!

(Suddenly, right on cue, the child actor playing Clyde McBride (an actual 11-year-old) enters stage left on his bicycle, wearing a helmet. As he does, the entire audience cheers and claps very loudly as he makes his very first appearance in the show. After about 30 seconds, the loud cheering and clapping from the entire audience dies down, and the scene continues to take place...)

Lincoln (jumps): Clyde! (rushes over to Clyde and holds out a fist for a fist-bump) That was a surprise entrance!

Clyde (chuckles): Well, guess I got you there, didn't I? (smiles and gives Lincoln fist-bump)

Lincoln: Well, its a bright and sunny summer day, and there is no school! What should we do today?!

Clyde: Well, I was thinking that we could go over to my house and just hang out like always!

Lincoln (nods): Oh, you know that's a great idea to me any day of the week!

Clyde (smiles): Great! So, get your bike, and we'll head over there!

Lincoln: You got it, Clyde! (Walks over to the garage door over on the right)

(As Lincoln approaches the garage door on the right, he grabs the handle on the bottom and slides it upward to open it. He then grabs his bicycle from inside of it, which also has a helmet attached to the handlebars. He then pulls the bicycle out, slides the garage door down to close it, and walks his bicycle back over to where Clyde is...)

Clyde: Alright, ready to go?

Lincoln: Yep, I sure am! Let's have some fun as friends!

Clyde (chuckles): You know, I'm glad we have the same interests as friends, Lincoln. I can't imagine what its like to live in a house with ten sisters you don't share any of your interests at all...

Lincoln (shrugs): Oh, its no big deal, really. You get used to it after a while...(takes helmet and puts it on his head) Besides, you're lucky not to have any siblings at all. (fastens helmet strap underneath his chin)

Clyde (sighs): Ironically Lincoln...I wish I did have a brother or a sister. If I had a brother or sister, I wouldn't be so lonely sometimes...

Lincoln: Oh, don't put yourself down like that, Clyde! (puts an arm on Clyde's right shoulder) You got me, a best friend until the end! (smiles)

(Suddenly, some uplifting guitar music begins to play in the background. As it does, Lincoln begins to sing the next musical number of the show...)

Lincoln (singing): Clyde buddy,

You got me...

I'm your best friend,

And loyal to the end,

As always! (removes hand from Clyde's right shoulder)

Clyde buddy...

We have the likes...

Such as cosplaying Ace Savvy,

And of course, One-Eyed Jack!

We are best friends,

And will be friends until the end!

I'm loyal to you,

And you're so loyal to me!

We are good friends, Clyde, buddy...

And we're good friends together...

Best friends, yes,

We are good friends!

Clyde (singing): Speaking on walkie-talkies...

And playing video games...

Are just some of the things that we do...

We also have our specials handshake,

And also walk to school together!

We also like to attend comic book conventions...

And we also are good at dancing,

Weather its the tango,

Or a dancing-themed video game!

We do a lot together,

So, we indeed are best friends, Lincoln...

And we're good friends together...

Best friends, yes,

We are good friends!

(As the music continues to play in the background, Lincoln begins to speak...)

Lincoln: So, let's head to your house before we forget! (smiles and gets onto bike)

Clyde: You got it, Lincoln! Last on there is a rotten egg! (bikes all the way to the right and then exits stage right)

Lincoln (bikes after Clyde): And I'm right behind you! (exits stage right, too)

(As both Clyde and Lincoln exit stage right on their bikes, a large wall panel resembling the very front of the McBride house comes down about a foot in front of the current setting, concealing the entire setting behind it. As the wall panel resembling the McBride house comes down into its position, Lincoln and Clyde both bike into view from the right. As they do, Lincoln and Clyde both begin to sing more lyrics of the song...)

Lincoln (singing): We both have bikes,

And a scooter too...

Clyde (singing): And not to mention,

Our collection of "Ace Savvy" comics!

Lincoln (singing): While we live in different homes...

Clyde (singing): And have our opinions on siblings...

Lincoln (singing): But that doesn't,

Change the fact...

Clyde (singing): That we are both best friends!

Lincoln and Clyde (singing): So, we indeed are best friends, buddy...

And we're good friends together...

Best friends, yes,

We are good friends!

(As the music continues to play in the background, Clyde begins to speak...)

Clyde: Well, we're here! (parks bike next to front door on the right)

Lincoln (sighs): Great! I sure could use an indoor activity with air-conditioning right about now! And of course, I need some time away from my sisters.

Clyde: Why do you say that, Lincoln? They're your own flesh and blood!

Lincoln (nods): Yeah, I'm aware of that, Clyde. But...(sighs) Its just that sometimes, I feel that no matter what I do for them, that I'm just...well...under-appreciated.

Clyde: Oh, cheer up, friend! (gives Lincoln a pat on the back) I'm sure that deep down, they really do appreciate you! (turns to face the front door) Well, let's go inside. (knocks on front door and steps back)

(The front door opens, and the actors playing Clyde's 2 fathers, Harold and Howard McBride appear in the doorway. As they do, the entire audience cheers and claps very loudly for their very first appearance in the show. After about 30 seconds, the loud cheering and clapping dies down, and the scene continues to take place...)

Howard: Oh Clyde, you're back already?

Harold: I thought you were heading over to Lincoln's house...(scratches the top of his head)

Clyde: I was, Dad. And Lincoln and I have decided to spend some time here instead!

Howard (nods): Oh, that's okay. (sees Lincoln) Hey there, Lincoln!

Lincoln (to Howard): Oh, hi Mr. McBride! (to Harold) Hey Mr. McBride! (turns to face entire audience): As you can see, Clyde here has 2 adoptive dads. They both love each other very much, and since Clyde is their only child, they give him plenty of undivided attention!

Howard: Well, don't just stand there, kids! Come on in! (steps out of view to the left)

Harold (smiles and steps aside to the right)

Clyde: Well, come on Lincoln! (walks through the doorway with his bike)

Lincoln: And that means its time for some sibling-free fun! (turns back around to face the front door) Wait for me, Clyde! (grabs his bike and enters through the (doorway too) And the fun fun begins now! (closes front door behind him)

(As Lincoln closes the front door behind him, the entire wall panel resembling the front of the McBride house rises up, revealing a setting resembling the McBride's living room behind it. This living room setting is made up of three major sections. The front-right side of the setting is complete with a curved blue sofa with orange cushions and a fancy-looking white divider wall behind it, a large circular wooden coffee table, a flat-screen TV set with a video came console and DVD player, and a large circular light fixture dangling overhead. The back-right side of the setting is complete with a living room area with a round dinning room table covered with a pink tablecloth and 4 chairs on the left side, a large floor-to-ceiling window wall at the very back of said living room setting, a round light fixture dangling over the dinning room table, a large rectangular-shaped grey basket of green plants, a grandfather clock on the right side, and a wall with a viewing window leading into the kitchen area of the setting, which is located on the back-left side of the setting. The kitchen area of the entire setting consists of a cube-like wall partition with the aforementioned viewing window, 2 spinning barstool chairs on metal poles in front of said window, a light fixture attached to the wall above the window, a wooden counter on the bottom of said viewing window, an open doorway on the right side of the partition wall, and a variety of kitchen appliances inside of said kitchen setting. The rest of the main setting also has a grey wall on the right side complete with a closed door, a fancy framed painting displayed up on the wall, and a wooden console table beneath said painting. As the front wall panel rises up out of view, Howard and Harold McBride are both seen in the kitchen area putting some snacks together, and both Lincoln and Clyde are seen rushing over to the living room sofa area of the new setting. As it does, the rest of the scene continues to take place...)

Lincoln (turns to face the entire audience): And this is the McBride house! As you can see, it is very clean and well-kept! And I think that is because of the fact that Clyde is an only child and doesn't have any siblings that make messes all over the place like in my house. (turns to face Clyde) So, ready for some fun?!

Clyde: You bet Lincoln! (jumps onto the sofa) Nothing but fun as friends for the next few hours or so!

Lincoln (also jumps onto the sofa): And you just said it best, Clyde! (gives Clyde a fist-bump)

Clyde (gives Lincoln a fist-bump back): And that is why we are such good friends! We both have things in coming and we love having fun whenever we can!

(At this point, both Lincoln and Clyde begin to sing even more lyrics of the song...)

Lincoln (singing): Playing video games...

And combining different playing skills...

Is one of the ways,

That us, as friends, make playing video games unique!

Our families might be different...

And we have different opinions...

But that is not a bad thing at all,

As everyone out there is not the same!

We do a lot together,

So, we indeed are best friends, Clyde...

And we're good friends together...

Best friends, Yes,

We are good friends!

Clyde (singing): We both have different lifestyles...

And we also live near each other...

But despite those differences of ours,

We don't let that affect our friendship!

Our parents might be different,

But of course, that isn't wrong,

So Lincoln, I must say,

That we are great together as friends!

We do a lot together,

So, we indeed are best friends, Lincoln...

And we're good friends together...

Best friends, Yes,

We are good friends!

(As the music continues to play in the background, Howard and Harold emerge from the kitchen section of the setting, each holding a plate with different snacks on top of it, stacked up like a pyramid model. They then both walk over to the sofa section of the setting, and present the snacks to Lincoln and Clyde...)

Harold (holds out plate of brownies): I feel that you boys will need some snacks for your enjoyment during your video gaming! I made my famous double chocolate chip brownies...(places plate on coffee table)

Howard (holds out plate of cookies): And I made my famous double chocolate chip and coffee chip cookies! (places plate on the coffee table)

(At this point, both Harold and Howard begin to sing their own lyrics to the song...)

Howard (singing): We cook very well...

For any special reason...

It might not be for a bakery,

Or even a restaurant...

But we do it...

For our friends and family...

And we share good values of being dads,

By doing stuff together!

Yes, we do a lot together...

And we raise our son good!

Yes, indeed...

We are great dads!

Harold (singing): We have meals together...

At the table...

We care about our son,

And of course, all of his friends too!

We go on family trips...

And have weekly game nights!

That just proves how much we love,

And care for our son!

Yes, we do a lot together...

And we raise our son good!

Yes, indeed...

We are great dads!

Howard (singing): Lincoln Loud...

Is a good friend of Clyde!

Harold (singing): A very good friend...

Who is very loyal and nice to him!

Howard (singing): They are both good friends

Harold (singing): And we feel great about that!

Howard (singing): Clyde did not have any friends,

Harold (singing): Before Lincoln came along!

Howard and Harold (singing): They are great friends together,

And they are both loyal to each other!

Lincoln and Clyde...

Are both great friends!

(As the music continues to play in the background, Howard and Clyde begin to speak again...)

Howard: Well, we better leave you boys to your video games! (smiles and wraps his arm around Harold's shoulder)

Harold: Have fun and behave yourself, boys! (wraps his own arm around Howard's shoulder)

Lincoln (nods and picks up video game system controller): We will! Thank you Mr. McBride...thanks Mr. McBride. (smiles)

Clyde (nods): Thanks dads! (smiles) You're both the best! (picks up video game system controller)

Howard: Oh, don't we know it. (smiles)

Harold (chuckles): Oh, you make me laugh, dear!

(At this point, Howard and Harold both walk over to the wall over on the left side of the setting, open the door, and step through said door. Once through the door, they close it behind them, exiting stage left. As Harold and Howard both exit stage left, both Lincoln and Clyde begin to sing more lyrics to the song...)

Lincoln (singing): Playing video games...

On a nice summer day like this...

Clyde (singing): Is a very good way,

To enjoy such a nice day like this one!

Lincoln (singing): Oh Clyde, we are such very good friends...

And we get along with each other!

Clyde (singing): We have a lot in common...

And we are both very nice to each other!

Lincoln and Clyde (singing): So, we indeed are best friends, buddy...

And we're good friends together...

Best friends, yes,

We are good friends!

Oh yes, we're great friends together...

And we do everything that we like together...

Best friends, yes,

We are good friends!

Best friends, yes,

We are good friends...

WE ARE GOOD FRIENDS, YEAH!

(The uplifting guitar music stops playing in the background, ending the second musical number of the show. As it does, the entire audience cheers and claps very loudly. After about 30 seconds, the loud cheering and clapping from the entire audience dies down. As it does, the stage lights shinning over the back, center, and front of the stage dim. After about 30 seconds, the stage lights shinning over the back, center, and front of the stage come back on, revealing Lincoln and Clyde both playing a fictional video game called "Total Trash Takeout" together, and over two-thirds of the plated snacks are gone, presumably having been eaten up by both Lincoln and Clyde. As all of the stage lights shinning over the back, center, and front of the stage come back on, the very next scene of the musical begins to take place...)

And that was the conclusion of Scene 2 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine! In this scene, we got to meet not only Lincoln's best friend Clyde, but also Clyde's 2 fathers, Harold, and Howard McBride. Now, in "Nickelodeon" history, I think this is the first case of one of the network's cartoons having a same-sex couple featured as supporting characters. This is very rare for most mainstream cartoons nowadays, and it's a good accomplishment to achieve. Correct me via private messaging if I'm wrong. The musical number that was featured in this scene was based off of the real-life song, "BFF" from the popular Broadway musical, "SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical"! Well, its time for us all to move on to Scene 2 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine!
