A/N: Okay, so… remember when I said this was going to be the last chapter? Well, I was wrong lol

I was just editing this to post it tonight and I may or may not have added a lot of extra scenes that made the word count jump from 8k words to 12k words, so I kind of had to split this chapter.

Anyway, now Willow is a four chapter story, I'm sorry, but… I just think it's better this way.

Enough rambling, I hope you enjoy this chapter.

They were in the woods again, the sun was out and he was currently pacing around the grass as Jackie watched him with a confused expression on her face.

"Steven, you are starting to freak me out," Jackie said after 10 more minutes of Hyde pacing nervously "What happened?"

He took a deep breath and cursed Edna with every fiber of his being. He hates her, he actually hates her for depriving him of Jackie, for making him give up the best thing he'd ever had, he hates her for being the piece of shit that she is, and he wanted nothing more than to tell her to go fuck herself and fucking die.

"Jackie, I…" He said, but he turned around and kicked a rock in frustration. He doesn't want to do this, he doesn't want to let her go. He doesn't even think he can live without her at this point.

But then, images of Jackie crying for help as Edna's thug friends hurt her ran through his mind, images of Edna laughing at Jackie's injuries, laughing as he desperately tried to get his chick back, and he turned around to look at Jackie again.

She was no longer sitting in the grass, she was standing up and quietly watching him, the worry was evident in her eyes. That's what gave him the courage to open his mouth and do the hardest thing he'd ever done in his life.

A life without Jackie would be a living hell, but at least she'd be safe, and nothing's more important than her safety. Absolutely nothing.

"Jackie, we gotta stop seeing each other" He choked out, and his heart completely shattered inside his chest when he saw the tears leaving her eyes and her broken expression.

Yesterday, he made her cry out of joy, and today, he's breaking her heart and making her cry out of sadness.

"What?" She said, her voice cracking "But yesterday we… I can't believe this"

"I'm so sorry, doll" He whispered, closing his eyes. He did not want to see her crying anymore, it was killing him.

"You… Were you using me? All of these months, you just wanted to get laid? I thought… I thought you loved me! You said you loved me!"

Hearing those words coming out of her mouth hit him like a punch in the guts. In another world, a world where he's a better person, he would've told her that he was indeed using her and let her walk out of his life for good, it would probably be the safest option, because there's no way in hell they would get back together after this.

But he spent over 8 months with Jackie by his side, and he can't - he won't - let her think that he only saw her as an object. No, he respected her enough to tell her the truth.

"No, God, Jackie, how can you say that?"

"You are the one breaking up with me the day after we had sex!" She cried

"Because Edna found out about you!" He yelled "Not because I don't love you! I'm breaking up with you because I love you too fucking much, Jackie!"

Jackie wiped the wetness away from her face and stared at him for what seemed to be hours, which made him a little pissed off.

Is she not going to say anything?

"She found out about me?" Jackie asked with a calm that angered Hyde. Why can't she understand that her life's in danger?

"Not specifically about you, Jackie, '' Hyde answered impatiently "She's just suspicious that I have a girlfriend, she has no idea it's you, but focus woman! I…"

"Steven if you try to break up with me because of this I'm killing you myself," Jackie said, and Hyde huffed exasperatedly

"Jackie, listen to me, I already told you, Edna hangs out with some hardcore guys who sell hardcore shit and prey on teenage girls like you," Hyde said "If something ever happens to you, I'll…"

"Nothing will happen to me" Jackie assured him, cupping his face in her hands "Okay?"

"Yes it will," He mumbled, looking down at the ground "I have to let you go, Jackie. You need to understand that…"

"We'll be more careful," She said, running her thumbs soothingly through his sideburns "We can figure something out, Steven"

"Jackie…"

"Do you trust me?" She asked, looking deeply into his eyes

He took a deep breath and nodded. She pressed her lips against his in a quick, chaste kiss, wrapping her arms around his waist and hugging him tightly.

It took him a few seconds, but he hugged her back just as tight.

"Jackie, I don't want anything happening to you" He whispered in her ear, gently running his fingers through her hair "I wish there was a way to guarantee you're safe, y'know?"

"I have a plan…" She said with a mischievous smile, and Hyde couldn't help but smile back

Hyde's eyes searched for Jackie's as he entered the school cafeteria followed by his friends. When he finally saw her, they exchanged another one of their secret smiles and pretended to pay attention to their respective friends' conversations.

"Man, I can't believe my mom packed me apple juice!" Eric whined when he saw the juice box packed with his lunch.

Hyde bit back a smirk. He knew how much Forman despises apple juice, he always whined about it, that's why he made sure to swipe the milk from his lunch box and replace it with apple juice.

"What's wrong with apple juice?" Kelso asked

"Apple juice is icky and it makes Eric sicky!" Eric replied, gaining a weird look from his friends.

"I'll have to go to the serving line just to get some grape juice now," Eric said "I don't want to go alone, Hyde's mom scares me"

Hyde rolled his eyes "Get up your big baby, I'll go with you"

Eric stood up and walked to the serving line with Hyde, and Jackie, noticing where they were going, quickly grabbed Kat Peterson and went to stay behind Eric and Hyde in the line. Hyde could faintly hear Jackie and Kat's conversation in the background.

"Jackie, what the hell?" Kat asked

"I'm sorry, I just really wanted some Jello and I just noticed there's barely any left" Hyde heard Jackie saying to her, and repressed a chuckle. Jackie's a shit liar, she hates Jello, but Kat doesn't know her like Hyde does.

"Ah, okay!" Kat said

The line wasn't very long, so it didn't take much time until Eric and Hyde stood in front of the beverage station. Hyde noticed Edna watching him with the corner of her eyes and took a deep breath, it's showtime.

Once Hyde grabbed Eric's beloved box of grape juice, he 'accidentally' bumped into Jackie, causing the box to squirt its content all over her pretty white sweater.

Jackie screamed, and he flinched. His chick can reach some pretty high octaves when she wants to, a few more seconds of that and he'd probably lose his hearing.

"Will you stop that? You'll make me deaf!" Hyde said, and Jackie sent him her best death glare.

"You just ruined my new sweater!"

Hyde rolled his eyes "I'm sorry, princess. I'm sure you can ask your maid to clean it up for you"

"It's cashmere! And it's white! And this is grape juice! It's ruined! My life's over!" She cried, and Kat rubbed her shoulder in comfort while Hyde scowled.

"Your life's over because of a freaking sweater? You don't have a clue what it's like to have a real problem, do you? For fucks sake, I'm out" Hyde said, but Jackie grabbed his wrist

"The least you should do is apologize, you… you bum!"

"Why would I apologize to a spoiled brat like you?"

"Because you ruined my sweater!"

"Get over it, princess" Hyde snarled as he grabbed a stunned Eric by the collar of his shirt and walked back to their table.

As Hyde walked away, he noticed how Edna was chuckling and smirked to himself. Edna might still think he has a girlfriend, but there's no way in hell she'll ever figure out that his girlfriend is Jackie.

He ignored the way people were staring at him and sat back down on the table, stealing some of Kelso's chips for himself.

"Hyde, what the hell?!" Eric complained once he got his power of speech back "I just wanted some juice, man!"

"You can still go get it, y'know" Hyde said

"That was awesome!" Donna chuckled

"Ai… Hyde, you're too rude" Fez said, looking lustfully at Jackie's ass once she turned around to leave the cafeteria to get the spare sweater she brought with her today.

Hyde punched Fez's shoulder hard. He wanted to tell him to keep his perverted eyes to himself, but he bit his tongue. A punch is enough, for now.

"See?!" Fez said, rubbing the sore spot on his shoulder

"Hyde, man! Don't go burning her like that, man! I want to go out with her!" Kelso whined from his seat, and Hyde glared at him

"Give up, Kelso! She's not going out with you!" Eric said, and Hyde discreetly turned around on his seat, trying to get another small glimpse at Edna.

She was still serving lunch to the brave kids that dared to eat her shitty food, still chuckling to herself every now and then.

He swiped more of Kelso's chips and smiled, Jackie's a freaking genius.

"I feel bad," She said, burying her nose on his neck "You're not a bum and I love you"

He chuckled and ran his fingers lovingly through her hair as she started to kiss his jaw "I love you too"

She broke apart from him and raised an eyebrow, obviously wanting to hear more.

"What?" He asked, annoyed

"Aren't you going to apologize for the things you said?"

He rolled his eyes "You know I didn't mean all that crap I said, doll. Now c'mere and gimme a kiss, alright?"

She just kept staring at him, and he sighed.

"You're not a spoiled brat, I mean… You are, a little, but I like that about you," He said as he played with her hair "And you definitely know what a real problem is, I kind of wish you didn't…"

"Steven…"

"It was just an act, okay?" He said, pressing a tender kiss to her lips "You know how I feel about you, doll"

She smiled at him and leaned her head on his chest, looking up at the engraving he did on that tree not that long ago.

"You think it worked?"

He smiled back at her "Yeah, it did"

"Will you stop freaking out now?"

He pressed a kiss to the top of her head and tightened his grip on her "I'll try"

She turned around and kissed him passionately, using her fingers to softly play with his curls as he deepened the kiss and started exploring her body with his hands.

"Wanna go back to my house?" She whispered huskily after they broke apart

He grinned and nodded, giving her one last kiss before letting her drag him to her daddy's car.

Hyde groaned as Eric and Donna shared another kiss in the basement.

"Oh God, you two never stop," Hyde said, turning the volume of the TV up so he wouldn't hear the sound of their lips smacking together

"Don't be such a spoilsport, Hyde. Enjoy the show!" Fez said, and Eric and Donna broke their kiss so Donna could throw a pillow at him.

"Hyde's just bitter because he doesn't have anyone to french" Kelso said, and Hyde sent him a weird look

"And you do?"

"I would if that Jackie chick would agree to go out with me!" Kelso replied, crossing his arms, and Hyde repressed the urge to get up and make Kelso swallow his own teeth. He doesn't know how long he'd be able to stand Kelso talking about Jackie like this, he almost loses his mind every time Kelso mentions her name.

It's been over two months since he and Jackie had performed their stunt at the school cafeteria, and Hyde could safely say that no one knew about him and Jackie. Including Edna.

Well, not that Edna's been home much to keep tabs on him and his relationship. She's been gone for over a week now, but her stuff was still at home so he knew she didn't take off for good.

"God, Kelso, will you get over it?" Donna said, glaring at the taller boy, who was sitting in the lawn chair and pouting like a freaking child "I don't like Jackie, I think she's a bitch, but you are literally harassing her. Hasn't she made herself clear to you?"

"She literally kicks you every time you're near her, man," Eric said, and Hyde smiled

"I like watching that," Hyde said, leaning back on his chair with a smirk on his face. It's true, he hates the fact that one of his oldest friends hits constantly on his chick, but Jackie knew how to defend herself very well. Watching her almost break Kelso's shins every time he approached her was extremely hot.

"Yeah, she gotta stop doing that. It's almost summer and I won't be able to wear shorts" Kelso said

"That wouldn't be a bad thing, Kelso," Eric added with a sly grin, and Donna nodded next to him

"I just want to do it with her, man! Why is it so hard?!" Kelso whined, and Hyde's smirk was replaced by a scowl

"Man, if you're that horny, just go over to Pam Macy and give her a quarter," Hyde said, making Eric and Donna laugh. Fez's eyes widened.

"Does anyone have a quarter?" He said, searching his pockets

Kelso laughed "Hyde was not being serious, man… Were you, Hyde?"

Hyde shrugged, and Kelso's eyes widened too. He took a few coins from his pockets and ran out of the basement, Fez following behind him.

Eric and Donna laughed when Fez slammed the door on his way out, and Hyde tried to direct his attention back on the TV.

It's 11AM on a Saturday, and he was already bored out of his damn mind. Jackie had cheerleading practice until noon, meaning that he has to stay in the basement for at least 45 more minutes until she meets up with him underneath the school's bleachers.

They had all figured it out, they'd stay there making out until everyone was gone, then they'd get her car in the parking lot, stop at Fatso Burger's drive-thru to get some food, and drive to their special place, where they would stay for the rest of the day. He had to bite back a smile, he was looking forwards to it already.

He tried to focus on whatever mystery the Scooby gang was trying to solve, but it was almost impossible, because all he could hear were Forman and Donna's giggles and kissing noises. It was almost making him sick.

Screw that, he was going to hide under the bleachers and smoke a cigarette while he waited for Jackie's practice to be over. Watching his chick jump around on that little uniform of hers for an hour is way better than watching Donna and Forman making out.

He got up from his chair and headed to the basement door, but before he could leave, he heard Forman calling for him.

"Hyde, man, where are you going? It's Saturday morning!" Eric said

Hyde frowned at him "Jeez, dad, I don't know. See ya later"

With that, he left the basement and started the walk to school, a smirk planted on his face at the thought of seeing his chick.

"You see that?!" Eric said to his girlfriend, gesturing at the door "He barely spends any time with us anymore!"

Donna raised an eyebrow at him "Eric, shouldn't you be happy to have some alone time with your girlfriend right now?"

Eric groaned "No… I mean, yes, I am happy, but, I don't know" He said, nervously rubbing his temples "Something's up with him, Donna. I can feel it"

"Eric, you're overreacting," Donna said "He probably just went to work, or to refill his stash"

"I know Hyde's been working a lot, but he was here last Saturday morning" Eric answered "So we already know that he doesn't work on Saturdays, which means he's not at work now. And he did not go to refill his stash because he did that yesterday"

"Your point?"

"My point is… He's keeping a secret, and I wanna know what it is" Eric said, crossing his arms "There has got to be a reason why he's been blowing us off so much this past year man"

"Maybe he has a girlfriend?" Donna suggested "That would explain a lot, actually"

"If Hyde has a girlfriend, why wouldn't he introduce her to us?" Eric asked

"Because we're annoying" Donna stated obviously "And we hang out with Kelso and Fez, who are probably the most perverted guys in this entire town, Hyde would end up sending one of them to the hospital"

"No, that can't be it," Eric said "I mean, him having a secret girlfriend makes sense, but I still think he'd introduce her to us"

"I don't know, Eric. Maybe it's because he knows we'd burn him for liking someone?" Donna said

"That's not a valid reason!"

"Well…"

"We should confront him," Eric said, interrupting Donna "Yeah, we should just… Demand for him to tell us what's going on"

"God, you have a death wish?" Donna asked, rolling her eyes "We are going to leave Hyde and his pseudo-girlfriend be, for now. We're not even sure if we're right, we should keep observing from far"

"But…"

Donna glared at him "Hyde will tell us when he's ready, Nancy Drew. Now, you wanna continue where we left off, or should I just go home?"

Eric gave her his best mischievous smile "Well, m'lady, I say we continue where we left off"

Donna laughed "Shut up and kiss me, dillhole"

The Fatso Burger empty wrappers were inside a paper bag Jackie brought with her so they could throw it in the garbage later, and Hyde accidentally stepped on it as he chased after Jackie.

After a good out makeout session underneath the bleachers, they got some food and drove to their place, just like they planned on doing before.

She had got him all excited in the drive there, saying that she had brought her portable tape player, meaning that they could actually listen to something that wasn't WFPP today, and when it was time to finally put on some decent music, he found out she only brought Capitan & Tenille tapes.

She had looked up at him with a sly smile, and he promised her he'd make her pay for it. He started tickling her, but she managed to escape, and now they were running around like two children playing a game of tag.

Hyde easily caught up to her, and he hugged Jackie from behind, lifting her from the ground and spinning her around in circles, smiling when he heard the beautiful sound of her laughter.

"Steven!" She said in between giggles, and he put her on the ground again. She turned around and laced her arms around his neck, and he stroked her cheek softly with his thumb.

She went on her tippy toes and brought her face closer to his, and he closed his eyes in anticipation, thinking she would give him one of her earth-shattering kisses. Instead, Jackie glued their foreheads together and gently rubbed her nose against his. He grinned, this is just one of the cute stuff Jackie tends to do with him, and he loves it so much.

He loves her so much.

He got a little impatient after a few seconds though, and sealed their lips together in a heated kiss. His hands roamed freely through her body, exploring all the patches of skin uncovered by her cheerleading outfit as he gently nipped on her bottom lip. She let out a small moan and he broke their kiss, chuckling slightly when he heard Jackie shrieking in indignation.

He pushed her hair away from her neck and began peppering gentle kisses on the exposed skin. He looked up and smiled when her eyes fell shut. He kissed his way down her neck until Jackie's cheerleading top got in the way. Hyde lowered it off her shoulder and his lips continued their warm, wet path along her body.

"God… Steven…" Jackie mumbled softly as he mouthed her neck, and he moved his kisses back to her mouth.

She didn't hesitate in deepening the kiss, in fact, she kissed him so hard, that it actually made him weak on his legs for a few seconds.

"Damn woman…" He whispered to her when he was able to catch his breath again

"What?" Jackie asked with feigned innocence, and he laughed

"You're a little minx, aren't you?"

"Well, now that you mentioned… Let's go skinny dipping," Jackie said with a devilish grin. Hyde grinned back.

"You're kidding, right?"

"No," She said, pecking him on the lips and taking her top off "There's a pond here, no one will see us, c'mon"

"Jackie," He laughed "God, you never cease to surprise me"

"Just to let you know," Jackie said, taking off her bra and making his mouth go dry "If a fish or something equally icky touches me, I'm out of here"

He set his sunglasses on the ground before stripping off his shirt and pants, when he looked up again, she was standing near him wearing only white lace panties, and it was like he had forgotten how to breathe.

"God… you're beautiful" He whispered huskily, taking off his boxers in one swift motion and moving closer to her. He kissed her lightly in the lips before dipping his fingers underneath the lace material of her underwear, slowly taking it off.

She looked up at him and took his hand in hers, and they jumped together in the water.

"Explain again, why can't I see you today?" Hyde asked over the phone

"I'm feeling like crap, and I look like crap too" Jackie replied, with a slightly hoarse voice

"I don't care what you look like," Hyde said honestly

"Well, I do, okay?" She said "God, how come I get sick, and you're not feeling a thing? That is so unfair"

"What can I say? Your girly immune system is too weak doll. Gotta eat more veggies" He teased her, and he could hear her huffing from the other side of the line "You think you're gonna be okay soon?"

"I hope so, I feel awful" She answered honestly "I know I should rest, but I hate being alone in my bed, I can't even watch TV, my head hurts too much"

"It'll be over soon, dollface," He said sympathetically

"I know, but time passes real slow when we're miserable"

"Your parents are home?"

"Are they ever?" She said "Martina is here though, she made me some soup"

"Doesn't Martina leaves at 5?" Hyde asked, furrowing his brow

"Yeah, but she left some more soup on the stove. I'll just heat it up at night"

Hyde frowned, he's not okay with that, he's not okay with that at all. But he knows better than to argue with her.

"Steven, I hate to hang up like this, but my head's killing me and I think I'll try and take a nap now," She said

He chuckled "Alright, doll. Get better soon"

"Thanks Pudding, love you"

"Love you too, Jackie," He said, and he heard the annoying noise indicating that she hung up the phone.

He started his walk back to his place, thanking the universe that Edna's not home right now, because he didn't want to explain to her why he's leaving the house with a duffel bag.

Yeah, he's taking some of his stuff. He doesn't give a shit about what Jackie's going to say, but there's no way in hell he's going to let his chick spend the night alone when she's sick.

She threw her Tiger Beat on the ground in frustration. She couldn't sleep because even though she was extremely tired, her brain just wouldn't shut off. She couldn't watch TV or read a magazine without feeling like her head's about to split open.

That sucks, because she really wanted to know who's Shaun Cassidy's biggest heartbreak. Guess that would have to wait until she was feeling less crappy.

She almost asked Steven to come over when he called, she could really use some cuddles right now, but she looks gross and she doesn't want him to see her like this.

She tightened her grip on her stuffed unicorn and tightened the blanket on her body. She knew she probably had a fever, but there's no way in hell she's getting up to get the Tylenol bottle in her bathroom.

After almost 10 whole minutes of pure boredom, Jackie heard someone opening the door to her room, and she covered her face with a pillow the second she saw Steven standing in the doorway.

"Steven, go away!" She said

"No" He replied bluntly, and she could almost see him rolling his eyes

"Steven, go away!" She repeated herself, but he ignored her.

"C'mon Jackie, take this stupid pillow off your face," Hyde said, sitting next to her on her bed

"I look disgusting," She said, her voice muffled by her pillow "I don't have any makeup on and I feel like trash"

"I already told you, I don't care what you look like, alright?" Hyde said "You're gonna have to let me see your face sometime doll, because I'm spending the next couple of nights with you till you get better"

"What?" Jackie said, lowering the pillow and looking questionably at him

"What? You thought I would let my sick girlfriend spend her nights alone at her big mansion? Not gonna happen" He replied, and he smiled smugly at her "You took the pillow off your face"

"Crap," Jackie said, trying to cover her face with the pillow again, but Hyde quickly took the flowery-shaped abomination and threw it on the other side of the room "Steven!"

Hyde ignored her and placed his hand on her forehead, checking her temperature.

"Shit, you're burning up" He stated, and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear "You have Tylenol?"

Jackie nodded "That's it? You're not breaking up with me because I look like crap?"

"What did you expect me to do? Run out screaming?" Hyde asked, looking at her like she's crazy "You look fine, just a little roughed up because of the snotty nose"

"Steven!" She whined, this time with a small smile on her face. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head and gave her the box of tissues that was sitting on her bedside table.

"C'mon, where's the Tylenol?"

"Bathroom's cabinet" She answered, smiling softly at him "You're really not going to break up with me because I'm ugly?"

"C'mon Jackie, you couldn't look ugly if you tried," He stated, kissing the top of her head one more time before entering her bathroom.

He gave her a couple of pills and a glass of water, that she gladly chugged it down. Hopefully, the pills would make at least her headache go away.

After that, she tried to pull him to lay next to her in bed with the little strength she had, but apparently, he didn't get the message, because he was still standing near her bed, looking at her with concern.

She was about to ask him to give her a few cuddles when he started to walk away.

"Where are you going?" She asked

"I'm gonna heat up that soup for you, doll," He said, standing near her bed again and pressing a kiss to the top of her head "I'll be back in a few minutes"

She nodded, and he left the room. She rested her head against her pillow and stared at the ceiling in thought.

Steven is such a perfect human being, and she loves him so much. He manages to surprise her every single day with his spontaneous sweet gestures, gestures that she knows no other guy would ever do for her, gestures that most of the time he refuses to take credit for.

There's nothing she wants more in this world than to hold his hand in public, brag about her perfect doting boyfriend to all the bitches from the cheerleading squad, to kiss him in front of everyone and mark her territory.

He's so perfect and she loves him so much. She would do anything to make him happy, and if that includes hiding their relationship, she's okay with it. Whatever helps him sleep better at night.

Sometimes, she thinks she doesn't deserve him. He's such an amazing guy with the sweetest heart she'd ever seen, and she's just a spoiled girl with a unicorn obsession.

Seriously, she just knows that most of the guys would run at the sight of her without any makeup on, they wouldn't volunteer on spending the night with her, just so that she won't be alone in her big house, feeling sick. Steven really is something else, no matter what she's going through, he'll always be able to make her feel better.

She just hoped to have the same effect on him. She knows that he loves her, a lot, and sometimes she doesn't feel worthy of it.

"Here" He said, entering the room with a bowl of soup in a tray "You can eat it in bed"

Jackie's stomach churned at the sight of the yellow-ish liquid with pieces of noodle floating on top, she pouted at Hyde, who sent her a soft look.

"Sorry doll, but you gotta eat," He said, and her pout intensified

"But I'm not hungry," She said, "And I'm afraid I'm going to puke if I eat this. And if you see me puking, I'll die"

He rolled his eyes "You're not going to puke if you eat just a little. And it's alright if you do puke"

"It's not!"

He sat next to her in bed "Look, how long has it's been since you ate?"

She looked away from him "Uhh… A few hours?"

"Don't lie to me, Jackie"

"Fine, I haven't eaten since yesterday"

He sighed "Fuck, Jackie. Alright, did you know that being without food for too long can make you nauseous?"

"No…"

"Just try and eat a little, for me, alright?" He asked, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear

"Okay," She said, and he gave her a sweet smile

"Thank you" He kissed her forehead and watched as she apprehensively started eating the soup. After a few minutes, she seemed more comfortable and not nauseous at all, so he decided to clean up her room.

He got up from bed and grabbed her trashcan.

"What are you doing?" She asked

"I'm gonna clean up all this snot paper on the floor," He said, and she grimaced

"Steven, that's gross, you don't need to do that"

"Jackie, I already told you I don't care, alright?" He said

She just rolled her eyes, and as she continued to eat the soup, Steven started cleaning up her room.

Soon enough, her bowl was empty, the trash can was full, and she was laying on Steven's lap, tracing hearts with the tip of her fingers on the rough material of his jeans.

"I'm bored," She said as he started playing with her hair

"Then maybe you should go to sleep," He said

"I can't," She pouted "Normally I sleep whenever I'm watching TV or reading a magazine, but my head hurts too much for me to do that now"

He sighed, and she sent him a questioning look.

"What's wrong?" She asked

He rubbed the bridge of his nose and grabbed the Tiger Beat magazine he rescued from the floor and left on her bedside table when he was cleaning her room.

"Nothing's wrong," He said, grimacing at the Shaun Cassidy picture on the cover of the magazine

"Not a word about this, Jackie," Hyde said, opening the magazine and taking a deep breath.

She sent him a questioning look, and he started reading the article for her. She smiled and snuggled closer to him on his lap, and within minutes, she fell asleep.

As he walked through the streets of his shady neighborhood, he sighed, letting go of the smoke that's been trapped in his lungs for the last five seconds. He'd spent the last two days with Jackie, taking care of her, but she's a lot better now and he had no other reason to stay.

So he walked back home as he always does, with a cigarette between his fingers and a scowl on his face, dreading seeing Edna again.

He wasn't as scared about Edna finding out about Jackie as he was before, mostly because nowadays, Edna's been under the influence of something about 90% of the time. She could barely even remember her own name the last time he'd seen her.

He took his keys and opened the door to the house, being greeted by the loud screechy sound the door always makes.

He took a look around, something was wrong.

There were no vodka bottles on the ground, nor there were cigarette stubs everywhere. The rusty spoon Edna uses to shoot herself with heroin whenever she's feeling bold, wasn't in the small table near the couch as it always was.

If he hadn't been raised near trash for his whole life, he would've thought she hired a cleaner or something while he was gone, but he knew her better than that.

Edna never gave a shit about their house's condition, just like she never gave a shit about him, or about anything that wasn't drugs and booze.

He took a deep breath and walked to Edna's room, not knowing what to expect.

Her room, just like the rest of the house, was clean. No trash on the ground, the little bong she often used to smoke meth, wasn't near her bed as it always was, her closet was stripped clean, she didn't leave a single piece of clothing in there.

He already knew what happened, he's not stupid. He walked to the kitchen and found a note pinned to the fridge.

Steven,

Ran away with a trucker to escape his hellhole. Took all of my stuff because I was the one who worked for them, not you.

I'm never coming back, so don't wait for me. I've been waiting for this opportunity for my entire life and I sure as hell ain't backing away because of a dumb kid I never wanted in first place.

Take care or whatever, I don't give a shit.

Edna.

Hyde took a shaky breath. What the hell did she mean when she said she took all of her stuff?

He opened the fridge and saw nothing more than a bottle of ketchup, an opened box of milk, and some old orange juice.

He then opened the cabinets and felt rage bubbling inside of him.

Fucking Edna even took the fucking plates and the glasses.

Fuck this, fuck her.

He walked to the living room and sat on the beat-up couch, trying to figure out what the hell he's going to do now.

On the bright side, Edna was gone, he wouldn't have to take any of her crap anymore, and he might even start dating Jackie in public, which is a great thing, but on the other side…

She was the one that paid rent, she was the one that bought food (sometimes), paid for heat, for electricity, for water, for… pretty much everything.

He makes decent cash at the FotoHut, but it's not enough to pay for half the things he needed to survive, he only work part-time because of school.

Fuck, he's going to have to drop out.

How the hell is he going to explain this to Jackie? To the Forman's? The last thing he wants is to make Jackie suffer - because she is definitely gonna- and be pitied, he hates that.

He hates a lot of things, but there's nothing or no one he hates more than Edna.

He hopes she gets run over by the same truck she used to go away.

A/N: Again, I'm so sorry for splitting this chapter. I just couldn't post a chapter with over 12k words, it would be tiring for you guys to read, believe me.

I'll see you tomorrow with the last (and I mean it this time) chapter! Thank you for the kind words and I hope everyone has a great day!
