Hello again, everyone! I'm back! And yes, I'm back once again with Scene 5 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine! Its now 9 months into the new year of 2021, and even though the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing, it's getting SLIGHTLY better with vaccines around, and soon, we'll FINALLY end this pandemic and be able to go back to normal at long last! But even during these every trying times, I'm still happy putting out chapters/pages of my stories for you all to enjoy! So, in this scene, we shall all see what happens when Benny and Luan finally meet up together for the very first time! And now, without any more further delays occurring or getting in the way, let's all just sit back, relax, and finally begin Scene 5 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine!

Luan (in a pirate's voice): Thank you! (bows) Thank you, mateys! (bows again) And now, I have a whole chest full of party games for all of us to partake in today!

All Birthday Party Children (cheering and clapping): YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Luan: And now...THE CHEST OF GAMES! (looks over to the left)

(As Luan looks over to the left, a brown treasure chest rises up into view over on the left side of the platform via a sliding trapdoor and hydraulic lift. As the chest gets into view, the children and Dylan cheer even louder this time...)

All Birthday Party Children: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! (cheering and clapping)

Luan: So...(approaches the treasure chest and opens the lid) let's all have some PIRATE FUN!

All Birthday Party Children (all running up onto the wooden stage): YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! (cheering and clapping)

Dylan (rushes up onto the wooden stage): This is the best birthday party ever!

(As Luan begins to rummage through the chest along with Dylan and the other party attendees, some transitioned music begins to play in the background. As it does, the stage lights shinning over the front, center, and back area of the stage dim. As they do, a large wall panel resembling the front side of Dylan's light-blue house comes down towards the front area of the stage, concealing the entire backyard party setting behind it. As this wall panel comes down into its position, the stage lights shinning above the front area of the stage come back on. As they do, the transitional music stops playing in the background. As it does, the next scene begins to take place, all as Lincoln, Clyde, and Benny all enter stage left together...)

Lincoln: Alright, now Luan did mention that her gig is happening here today. Though, it did take a few minutes to walk over here, I say we made good timing. (looks down at his watch) Hopefully we didn't just miss Luan, or we'll have to go all the way back to my house to see if she's even there!

Clyde: Oh, I think we got here with plenty of time to spare, Lincoln. (smiles and nods) I mean, sometimes, Luan's gigs do take a while to complete. And sometimes, she takes a while after her gig time is over.

Lincoln (nods): You're right about that, Clyde.

Benny (shivering): Oh, I'm s-s-s-so n-n-n-n-nervous! (looks left and right) W-What if L-Luan d-doesn't l-like me?!

Lincoln (pats Benny's left shoulder): Oh, nonsense, Benny! Luan will like you, no question about it! (smiles)

Clyde: Yeah Benny, you'll be just fine! (smiles and nods)

Benny (inhaling and exhaling): Yeah...y-you're r-right! (smiles nervously) E-Everything will be a-alright!

(Suddenly, the front door of the house front-themed wall panel swung open, and Luan steps out of the door in the wall panel, wearing her normal clothing, and holding a book bag over his shoulders. As she steps out of the wall panel doorway, she closes the door behind her...)

Luan: Man, what a party! Those kids sure can be wild at times! (sighs happily) But, it was worth it to make money, AND get a slice of the birthday cake out of it! (smiles and turns to the left to see Lincoln, Clyde, and Benny) Oh, hey Lincoln! (to Clyde) Hi Clyde! (notices Benny) Oh, hello there!

Benny (nervously): Oh...uh...h-h-hello! (manages to make a nervous smile)

Luan (confused and concern): Uh...hi? (raises eyebrow) Are you alright there?

Lincoln (stepping in front of Benny): L-Luan! Uh...hi! (smiles) So, how was your gig?

Luan (shrugs): Oh, it was fine. Basic party but themed to a pirate ship, basic kids yelling and having fun, me giving special attention for the birthday boy, me getting a piece of cake as thanks from the birthday boy's parents, the same old stuff I normally encounter when doing a gig. (shakes head) But its over now, and the rest of the day is mine.

Lincoln (nods): Uh-huh...(steps to the side) Uh, Luan, I got someone here that you just GOT to meet! (points to Benny) This is...

Benny (interrupting Lincoln): HI! (smiles nervously) I'm B-B-Benny! (chuckles nervously) I just m-moved here from N-New York C-City!

Luan (holds out a hand but hiding a joy buzzer on it): Well, nice to meet you, Benny! I'm Luan Loud! (smiles)

Benny (tries to stay calm): N-nice to meet you too, Luan...(grabs Luan's rigged hand and gets zapped by the joy buzzer) AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! (gets go quickly and falls over backwards)

Lincoln (gasps): Benny! (bends over) I'm SO sorry about that. Are you okay!?

Benny (coughs): Yeah, I t-think so...(coughs) What was that?

Luan (laughs): HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That was my joy buzzer! (reveals it to Benny, taking it off her hand) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You just had a little bit of SHOCK there! Get it?! HAHAHAHAHA!

Benny (suddenly laughs back): HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, I so get it! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (gets back up and wipes away a tear)

Lincoln: Wait...Benny, you thought that was funny? (scratches the top of his head)

Benny (laughs and turns to face Lincoln): Oh, of course I do, Lincoln! Say, you were right! This sister of yours is SO hilarious! (turns to face Luan) Luan, you are just like me! I love acting and comedy, too!

Luan (puts joy buzzer into pocket): That's great! Say, I have someone else I'd like you to meet!

Benny (confused): Oh, really? (looks behind her): I don't see anyone else...

Luan: Oh, he's right in here...(takes bookbag off of her shoulders) Benny...(unzips bookbag's largest pouch) please welcome, MR. COCONUTS! (pulls out Mr. Coconuts and holds it out in front of her)

Benny (confused): Uh...hello, M-Mr. Coconuts! (smiles nervously)

Luan (in Mr. Coconuts' voice while operating her dummy's mouth): Oh, hi there, Benny! Its so wonderful to meet a man from the city that never sleeps! Why, you must be so tired right now! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (in her regular voice) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (wipes away a tear) Get it?! Because New York City is really known as the city that never sleeps!

Benny (laughs and clutches his stomach): HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! OH, THAT IS JUST SO FUNNY AND TOO PERFECT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Lincoln (turns to Clyde): Well, it seems that they're both getting along just fine! (smiles and folds arms)

Clyde (nods): Indeed they are, Lincoln.

Lincoln: Say, let's both head home and give them some alone time to get to know each other some more.

Clyde: That's a good idea...(turns to Luan and Benny) Uh...say, Benny...

Benny (stops laughing): Huh? (turns to Clyde) Yes?

Clyde: Lincoln and I are both going to head back home now. You...don't mind that, do you?

Benny (nods): Oh, no, I don't mind. You two go on ahead. Luan and I...(turns back to Luan) are going to get to know each other a little more now.

Lincoln (nods): Uh...okay, then! (to Clyde) Come on, Clyde! (walks to left side of the stage, exiting stage left)

Clyde: Right behind you, Lincoln! (also walks to left side of the stage, exiting stage left too)

Benny: Say...I think Mr. Coconuts would like to have a friend of his very own, too!

Luan (raises eyebrow): Oh...d-do you got one, too?

Benny: I sure do! Hang on and let me go get her...(walks over to the left side of the stage and reaches out one of hands offstage) And...here she is...Mrs. Appleblossom! (smiles)

(Suddenly, Benny pulls back his arm into view, which his now holding the wooden cross controller part of the Mrs. Appleblossom marionette puppet, with the main puppet, attached down below with all of its stings. Luan made Mr. Coconuts's mouth open, as if he was gasping over the sight of Mrs. Appleblossom...)

Luan (looks in awe): Awww...she looks so cute! (to Mr. Coconuts) Hey, Mr. Coconuts, isn't she so beautiful?! (operates Mr. Coconuts while using his voice) Oh yes, very beautiful indeed! You looks as beautiful as an apple orchard at sunrise!

Benny (operates Mrs. Appleblossom while using her voice): Awww, that's so sweet. And you look as cute as...well...a coconut!

Luan (operating Mr. Coconuts while using his voice): Oh, shucks! (laughs) Oh, you make me crack! GET IT?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Benny (operating Mrs. Appleblossom while using her voice): Oh, I get it! Because coconuts crack open for their sweet water inside! (laughs)

Luan (going back to her normal voice): Oh Benny, you sure do like my jokes!

Benny (going back to his normal voice): Hey, what else can I say? Y-You're so funny!

Luan: Say, it seems we got a lot in common!

Benny (chuckles): You know what? I...I think so, too!

Luan: Say, tell me more about yourself!

Benny (scratches the back of his neck): Uh...s-sure!

(Suddenly, some comedic uplifting music begins to play in the background. As it does, Luan and Benny both begin to sing the next musical number of the show...)

Luan (singing): Oh, we have so much in common,

Don't we?

Benny (singing): Yes, it seems we have so much in common...

We do...

Luan (singing): I like comedy and joking too...

Benny (singing): And I also have a dummy, too!

Luan (singing): You and I,

Already seem to be getting aloooooooong!

Benny (singing): It seems that us meeting each other...

Benny and Luan (singing): Was all meant to beeeeeeeeeee!

Luan (singing): Oh, we have so much in common,

Don't we?

Benny (singing): Yes, it seems we have so much in common...

We do...

Benny and Luan (singing): Making puns,

And having fun!

Laughing up a storm,

Until we drop!

We seem to have a lot in common...

It seems that no other duo,

Is out there like us!

Benny (singing): I thought that first,

I would find no friends...

Luan (singing): Oh Benny,

You shouldn't think like that,

At alllllllll...

Making friends aren't so hard,

As it just takes a little work...

A little work to find,

The perfect friend for you!

But now searching that job is over,

Because you found me!

Benny (singing): Oh Luan,

I have to admit...

You are so funny,

And likeable, too!

Luan (singing): And you are just the same,

Like meeeeeeeeee!

It feels like our meeting...

Was meant to be!

Benny (singing): Oh Luan,

I' am so glad I met you...

I aaaaaaaam!

Luan (singing): Oh Benny,

I' am also so glad I met you...

I' aaaaaaaam!

Benny (singing): You are so nice,

And talented!

Luan (singing): And you are just,

The same and even more!

Luan and Benny (singing): We met each other,

And it seemed that,

It was meant to beeeeeeeeeeeee!

Oh yes, we have met,

We are so alike in various ways...

Due to our similar intrests,

And personalities!

It seems that were meant to beeeeeeeeee...

And we wouldn't like anything else,

To have happened...

OTHERWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISE!

(The comedic uplifting music stops playing in the background, ending the musical number. As it does, the entire audience cheers and claps very loudly for Luan and Benny's duo musical number. After about 30 seconds, the loud cheering and clapping from the entire audience dies down. As it does, both Luan and Benny giggle together, allowing the scene to continue...)

Benny (giggles): Hey, let's go to the park together or something!

Luan (chuckles): Oh, sure! I bet we can find new material to perform together!

Benny: Well, let's go! (runs over to the left side of the stage, exiting stage left)

Luan: Right behind, you! (also runs over to the left side of the stage, exiting stage left)

(As both Luan and Benny exit stage left, the stage lights shining above the front area of the stage dim. As they do, some spooky music begins to play in the background. As it does, the large wall panel resembling the front side of Dylan's light-blue house rises up, revealing a large setting resembling the "Royal Woods Cemetery", complete with a pitch black sky backdrop on the back wall with thousands of stars and a full moon painted on it positioned on the back wall, 6 dead oak trees positioned on the sides of the stage (with 3 on the left side and 3 on the right side in a row), several tombstones of various shapes and sizes positioned all over the stage's back, front, and center area, a large metal gate and fence at the very front area of the stage, and a black rectangular-shaped tombstone-like podium positioned in the center area of the stage towards the back. The entire setting also has 3 inches of dry ice fog covering it, and a few thin candles light up on top of some of the many tombstones positioned all over the set. As the entire new setting is revealed, the sound of a crow screeching is heard in the background, and the Lincoln enters stage left. As he does, Lincoln walks over to the front and center area of the stage, faces the entire audience, and begins to narrate once again...)

And that was the nice conclusion of Scene 5 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine! It seems that both Luan and Benny really got on very well upon them first meeting each other! And of course, while it was Lincoln who did introduce Luan to Benny, Luan seemed to have forgotten to thank Lincoln or even acknowledge Lincoln's part in the whole event. Oh, poor Lincoln...it seems that he feels underappreciated by Luan, and by most, if not all, of his sisters almost all the time in the original cartoon and of course, in this musical. And the musical number within this scene was based off of the real-life song called "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist" from the popular Broadway musical, "Avenue Q"! Well, its time for all of us to move on to Scene 6 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine!
