So I did it, I have taken the first major step toward saving the galaxy. It is just a single world for now, but with it as a foothold. I can in time reach out to countless other worlds in the galaxy. But that is work for the distant future. I can reach for the star tomorrow, but today I must keep my sight on the ground.

There would be major social upheaval and unrest in the next couple of years or possibly even a couple of decades, and we will need to be ready for that.

But first I must deal with the short-term goal of rebuilding the infrastructure of this world. Most likely from the ground up to provide the basic needs of the people and give them a decent living condition, after that a functioning law enforcement system and economy.

Thanks to the magic and tech that is available to me, the bare necessity could be easily taken care of. We can create raw material from magic once the thought energy generator is set up and running, and upgrade and expand the existing recycling and filtration system.

I can build machines that could imprint knowledge into a person's mind giving them an education level equal to a high school graduate and when they want to work a certain job we will just have them imprint the advanced job-specific knowledge.

As for law enforcement, systems of government, and health care, well fuck. I think I'm accidentally fuck up pretty fucking bad here because in my rush to take the planet I have to overlook a critical factor which is manpower. The total population of Regulus is only about 80 thousand people and out of those a significant percentage, almost a fifth, are children or babies.

Which leaves only about 65 thousand people left to run both government, law enforcement, and public service from local habitation blocks to planetary-wide governmental systems for the entire planet, which is impossible. Even if they only handle the administrative role, we would still be way too understaffed to do anything effectively. Taking over a planet by force is easy, but running it successfully is not.

I could build AI to take over the administrative and law enforcement process, but until I make them corruption and subversion proof, I'm not going to build and implement them.

For the foreseeable future, we will have to lower our vetting standard and perform mass recruitment to fill out the open position in a governmental office.

We will break down each hive into hundreds or even thousands of districts, cities, and states and fill the high-ranking office position/upper echelon with my people, while local officials will be filled with those who the people have elected.
