JABBERWOCK ISLAND (WORLDLINE ALPHA 0.00002)

Hajime grabbed the nearby table in front of him for support. It felt like his brain was about to explode. He didn't think sending a text to the past would have affected him that much.

He looked over at Kazuichi who was just standing around with not a care in the world as if he wasn't affected by the warping of time and reality. Then he remembered what he had read in the notes.

It seems Only I can detect when we change World Lines. My colleaguesaren't aware and act like the timeline we are in has always been the reality. But also I am not aware of what has happened in this worldline before my arrival in it. ~ OKABE RINTARO

Hajime deduced that the Izuru personality inside of him had protected his brain from not noticing the timeline had changed, so at least he could keep track of changes that might have happened. He looked around and noticed Fuyuhiko was here examining the device too and chatting it up with Kazuichi.

"Fuyuhiko, when did you get here?"

"When did I get here? I've been here this whole time, dumbass. You said you wanted my help and opinion on this experiment you were running since I'm the one that stole these notes in the first place." Fuyuhiko exclaimed, annoyed.

Hajime hadn't remembered asking him for help. This must have been one of the changes that sending that text in the past had created.

"Hey, Fuyuhiko, can you tell me how we first met? I need to see if the text we sent changed that somehow." Hajime asked.

Kuzuichi replied, "We never sent a text."

Hajime responded, "Um yes we did." He pulled out his cell. "See it's….." But the text message was gone.

"I don't know what this is all about," Fuyuhiko proclaimed. "But if you need the information, we met after you caught the bitch that murdered my sister." If you had just been a few minutes earlier maybe you could have stopped her. But unfortunately, you got there just as Natsumi was gasping for her last. You managed to pull her off my sister and secure her. Then you tried CPR to revive her but it was too late. You yelled for help and Hiyoko, Mahiru, Ibuki, and Mikan came running before Sato had a chance to erase the proof of her crime."

That wasn't how Hajime had remembered the incident. He hadn't even been anywhere near the building when Natsumi had been killed. How did that text he sent back in the past change events that much?

FIVE YEARS EARLIER

The words you win flashed on Chiaki's Game Girl and she smiled. "I think I beat that game 20 seconds faster."

She put her game down and pulled out a paper from her kitty backpack. The paper read. Chiaki Nanami, we have been watching you and we have determined you have an unprecedented skill in playing games, so you have been chosen to harness your talents at Hope's Peak High School. Congratulations, we hope to hear from you soon.

Is my talent in playing games really that important for the future of the planet? Chiaki thought.

"Tuteru! Nanami-chan!" A high-pitched voice shouted out.

Chiaki smiled and turned to look at her friend. "Hey, Mayushi."

Mayuri Shiina skipped her way up to Chiaki. "Hey Nanami, you beat another new game?"

Chiaki was resting on a bench in front of a Building that Mayuri often visited. She said it was a lab that she was a member of. Chiaki often competed with another member of that lab in online games. "No new games today, playing a classic."

"That's awesome!" Mayuri proclaimed. "You here to see Daru-kun?"

"Yeah, he said he could help me with my issues in the one game I'm having problems with." Daru had promised to help Chiaki in beating Dating Sim Games.

"Do you want some Juicy Chicken Number One?"

"Thank You, I would love some."

Mayuri pulled the chicken from the box and gave a piece to Chiaki and they enjoyed the sights.

Hajime Hinata and his parents were talking with a woman in a black dress.

Hajime's father asked, "So doing this would allow my son to get into the School for free?"

The woman nodded, "Yes, and Hajime will be praised as the Ultimate Hope."

"Is it dangerous?" His mom wondered.

The Woman replied, "Oh no, of course not. It's a very simple procedure. Our doctors just evaluate parts of the frontal lobe, where skills are kept, and we will give Hajime those skills."

"So will I be able to do anything?" Hajime asked.

"Oh yes, you will be able to compete in any sport or event with no issues." She pulled out the forms, "We just need your signature since he is still a minor."

"I understand." Hajime's father replied and he signed the documents.

The woman looked over the forms and responded, "It looks like everything is in order. Of course, Hajime can change his mind but in that case, the fees of the classes he took must be paid."

"That would set us back a fortune." His mother proclaimed.

"Hajime wouldn't do that to us."

"I don't want to be a burden," Hajime said, quieter than the rest.

The woman nodded and stood up, "Well, I will see you at school then." She shook the hands of everyone and left.

Hajime looked at his hand, "I will have talent, I will be able to do something and be someone."

The woman got in a limo, which drove off.

"How did it go, mother?" A blond girl asked.

"His parents signed the documents. Soon you will have someone with the same Analyzing skills you have. Who sees the world as you do."

The girl replied, "Oh, joy, that almost gives me hope for the future!" She smiled a toothed grin.

"Soon everything will be as you want, Junko dear."
