Hajime was talking with Mahiru and Hiyoko about the events created by the phone wave.

Hiyoko asked, "So you sent a message to someone in the past and it changed what you remember about the present?"

Hajime nodded his head, "Yeah, and we met earlier than I remember meeting," He turned to Mahiru, "So we met that day, um your friend did what she did?"

Mahiru looked down in sadness, "Yeah. I still couldn't believe someone I thought I knew for years could kill someone like that so easily," She took a breath, "So we heard your call for help, ran upstairs, and saw you trying to perform CPR on Fuyuhiko's sister and Sato handcuffed to the piano. She was saying that she did it for me."

Hiyoko piped up, "It was then we found out that you and Chiaki had been hanging out for a while. We were going to invite you to an event we were going to do so you could see my beautiful dancing, but you vanished soon after that."

"Chiaki was so sad after you disappeared, but she put on a happy face as the class representative and made sure we had a good time." Mahiru let out a small laugh. "A lot of the time I had to make sure she took care of herself. Too.."

"So in the past, I remember I wasn't anywhere near the music room when Natsumi was killed."

"So what was the message you sent to the past?"

"I simply said to 'stay safe.'"

"Who did you send it to?"

Hajime looked at her with sad eyes.

"Chiaki."

"Obviously that message didn't save her life but somehow made me go to that room that day. For the life of me, my analyzing talents can't figure out this butterfly effect."

Hiyoko stood up, "I need to go take care of something. Don't go giving me a niece or nephew or anything." She winked at them.

"Hiyoko!" Mahiru said blushing.

"You made a machine that could change the past?" Sonia said with amazement.

"That's right Miss Sonia," Kazuichi responded.

"Messing with time unleashes the darkness of the soul," Gundham proclaimed.

"I hate to agree with him but that might be true," Kazuichi replied.

"We can bring together people in love in the past," Sonia told them with stars in her eyes.

"Ok I think we lost her," Kazuichi said.

"Thus is the fate of anyone who challenges the Princess of Darkness," Gundham said.

"Kazuichi, you must take us to the machine," Sonia ordered.

"Right this way."

FIVE YEARS EARLIER

As Mayuri and Chiaki were enjoying their Juicy Chicken number one. Mayuri's friend and boss Faris Nyanya, came skipping in her cat maid uniform towards them.

"Feris, want some?" Mayuri asked. Holding the box towards her.

"Thanks, Nya." Faris took a piece. "We must have energy for the upcoming battle."

Chiaki never understood what Faris talked about but she loved her connections to the Ria Net games. Chiaki was the only person who was a true competition to Faris in Ria Net Battle Tournaments. And when they did co-ops they were unstoppable.

"You should come with Mayuri and me to Karaoke tonight," Faris told her.

"I'm not a singer," Chiaki replied

"Mayushii thinks you will be great," Mayuri responded and took Chiaki's hands and they took her to the Karaoke bar.

FIVE YEARS LATER (JABBERWOCK ISLAND)

Sonia asked, "So we can just send text messages back to the past?"

Kazuichi replied, "Yes, well for now. There is also an upgrade to send your memories to your past but we haven't installed it yet."

"So what message do you want to send to the past?" Gundham asked,

Sonia looked down thoughtfully. "Chiaki once told me of a time she went to a Karaoke Bar with a few of her pre-hope peak friends she had made."

"I never knew Namami could sing," Kazuichi responded in amazement.

Sonia smiled "Well, she told me she never actually sang that night but…" She hooked her cell up to the machine and wrote out a message. "I'm going to put things in motion." She clicked send and the machine started to crackle lightning.

Mahiru asked, "So did you ever do anything for fun before you got to Hope's Peak?"

Hajime shook her head. "Not really, even if there were things I wanted to do, I never really had friends to do them with until I met…"

Mahiru gave him a comforting hug, "Yeah, besides Hiyoko, she was one of the few people I could share my pictures with, who had no bored look on her face anytime."

"I think…" Just then Hajime felt queasy and the figure of Mahiru started to get fuzzy in front of him.

"Hajime, are you ok?"

Hajime grasped Mahiru for support and closed his eyes until the feeling of the world warping around him went away.

FIVE YEARS EARLIER

Hajime was about to call it a day after his meeting with the Hope Peak's representative when his cell phone beeped. He picked it up and looked at it.

I wonder what this is about? Hajime thought. Ahh, I'm not really doing anything. "Mom, Dad, I'm going out for a bit. Be back soon."
