A/N
Heeeeeellllo! I'm not dead! On the outside at least.
Welp, school hit like a truck riding a freight train flying in on a meteor packed with nuclear warheads. So that hurt... eh regardless I have finally managed to get a handle of things, hence this new chapter!
Now then, I should mention I am trying something different with the reviews and Chapter names. In the name I have now put the final word count (without the A/N or reviews) and I will also be changing the display for reviews for ease of reading. Let me know if you love it or hate it!
Alright, with that all out of the way on with the chapter!

ESTABLISHING CONNECTION TO DATA CORE . . . . . . . SUCCESSFUL
INITIALIZING . . . . . . . COMPL-As I activate my new ocular sensors for the first time I find them to be momentarily overwhelmed by their over-sensitivity to the light.
An unexpected error.
Seeing as this chassis is of an original design errors were expected to occur. I log the error and file a report within the span of a millisecond and continue my start-up sequence. Within twelve milliseconds of my cold fusion battery activating my Data Core begins transmitting data from the artificial nerve system built into my limbs.
I receive thousands of signals from my new Chassis's fingers as they come online my data core and AI processing each signal as it arrives. My vocabulary informs me that I am experiencing similar sensation to what humans refer to as 'pins and needles', a quick scan through my archives reveals the sensation is often experienced by humans as blood flow is restored to limbs that have been inactive for extended periods of time. Additionally simulacrums have been recorded a similar phenomenon upon 'waking up' for the first time. The phenomenon is logged and filed away for further research. 'Perhaps my Pilot will find the subject intriguing?'
Thought patterns have indicated a strong sense of human curiosity, while beneficial to a child or scientist it can be detrimental on the battlefield. A balance will need to be achieved if maximum combat efficiency is to be achieved.
The last of my systems have now come online. Motor functions are now fully operable and under my command. Referencing a recording of my Pilot exiting her seat within my Primary chassis, I mimic my Pilots posture of bracing my hands against the armrests of the chair I am sat in and initialize my shoulder and bicep motors at 14.0% of their maximum capacity.
I calculate this will be an optimal amount of force to lift my 800-pound armored chassis from its seat.
Engaging the motors I register a spike in momentum that I record to be extremely excessive for simply lifting my chassis from my seat. Before my systems can react further my chassis is launched from its resting position and into the air. I suddenly my new body in a momentary state of weightlessness as my trajectory reaches its apex before I begin my descent.
Quickly activating my leg motor functions I attempt to bring them below my waist in order to cat-CLANG

[ Orders received beginning construction ]
Siesta had found it quite difficult to fall asleep the night before. Tossing and turning in the small cot that she had been given she just couldn't seem to drift away. Her employers words were still ringing in her head from before.
"If you utter a word of this to anyone! I will... I will sever our contract!"
Siesta felt her hands unconsciously ball into fists as her heart began to pound in her chest. The moment her contract was severed she became a liability to Louise. She knew about this secret facility that her familiar had miraculously found... or if his words were to be believed, constructed... She shook her head. The mere thought of it was simply too unbelievable for her to accept. An underground metal fortress constructed in a simple matter of weeks!?
Not even a hundred square class earth mages could manage such a feat in such time. Or perhaps they could... mages of that caliber tended to dominate entire battlefields, but then came the issue of where anyone could get a hold of a even dozen square class mages. Such mages to Siesta's understanding were incredibly rare, and hard to come by. Although Louise was a noble, and a daughter of the duchess... and if rumors were to be believed she had close ties to the princess herself. Then perhaps...
Ah, her head was beginning to spin again. The matters of nobles were so far beyond her it was pointless trying to understand matters she didn't even know where to begin with. After all if there was one generally unspoken rule amongst the common-folk, it would be 'Never associate with nobles any more than you absolutely must.'
Letting out a sigh Siesta rolled onto her side and tried to steer her thoughts into more peaceful topics, like home... Her family back in Tarbes... they must be so worried, she had only managed to send them a single letter attempting to explain why she would not be visiting over the summer. Without her to help tend to the fields she feared they would not have enough help for the harvest. At lest... perhaps some of her younger siblings might be able to step up this year...
Maybe she could negotiate with Lady Louise to lend some of technology that her grandfather often complained they did not have. Like... what did he call it again... a track-tore? Or even perhaps just that miracle box that kept items cold and fresh for extended periods of time. It would at least help her family make it through the winter. As long as she could just get something out of this trip then maybe just maybe it would all be worth it in the end.
With her mind made up Siesta finally found herself drifting away...
Only to immediately woken up by a blaring alarm that made a noise not dissimilar from a rooster with a sore throat. The blaring noise continued on playing off and on repeatedly in a strict pattern. And as the alarm sounded the lights in the room slowly turned on without any prompting. Shooting up from her bead she covered her ears with her hands in an effort to shut the noise out entirely. She was only mildly successful. The alarm thankfully was not so loud that it hurt her ears, but the noise it was producing was rather unpleasant.
Making her way around the room she tried to locate the source of the noise so she could smother it with her pillow. However before she could do anything of note the alarm suddenly stopped as the door to the room she was in suddenly opened to reveal a different stalker unit to any she was familiar with.
This one was slightly taller than the ones she had seen walking in, and its head was not triangular but more of a square/rectangular design with one large glowing sky-blue rectangle making up its "face". Its neck was no different from a stalker or spectre unit with its wires and circular joints visible and moving with the unit's head. Its chest was approximately the same size as a normal stalker although this one appeared to have a large amount of rectangular pockets built into chest. Its shoulders with both cover by pauldorons that seemed to be cut in a manner that struck a balance between mobility and protection. The metal only covering a small part of the top of the shoulder, but about a quarter's length of the bicep. And while its arms were visibly metallic, appearing with the only difference setting them apart from a stalker units was some additional plating covering them. The units waist was again open allowing for a full freedom of movement, however its hips had a sharper V-shape allowing the legs a larger range of movement. It's knees remained the same, however the ankle joints were lifted to again enable more range of movement and its feet seemed to closely resemble those of FS's. It's entire body had been painted in a green white and orange colour scheme.
Siesta was intimidated by the enormous Robot that stepped through the door and unconsciously took a step back to avoid any conflicts. The unit regarded her for a second before nodding its head and placing its hands behind its back. Its eye seemed to glow and dim periodically as it stared at her. Siesta gulped unsure of how to react. When the machine continued to stare at her for a few moments without any dialogue, it suddenly tilted its head to one side.
Was it expecting her to say something?
"You have not enabled your external speakers. She cannot hear you." Another voice, possessing an accent that Siesta thought was vaguely familiar, spoke up from behind the large robot in front of her. Stepping around the larger robot was another unit although this one was a tad slimmer and bore more resemblance to a Spectre unit.
This unit was painted in a white and dark grey colour palette. Its head was more rounded than the taller counterpart and it appeared to have something akin to a wolfs furry tail attached to the back of its head. Additionally around its neck it was wearing a large brown scarf that covered it entirely. Its chest was notably slimmer than the taller robot with far less pouches, instead it seemed to have red cartridges that ended in a gold coloured cap. Its arms also did not posses any pauldrons and were noticeably slimmer in comparison. Its hips however were fundamentally different where instead of a triangle piece their was only a rectangle to connect to its spine and its cables. Its legs were slightly further apart and appeared to have a much larger range of movement than before. While its thighs and shins were also considerably thinner it also had an extra joint approximately half the size of its thigh possibly less, that led into its feet. They almost resembled those of a MRVN unit if it weren't for its feet being built differently. Speaking of, its feet were flatter with more surface area compared to the other robot's.
Siesta also noticed that if this one were stood up straight its height might match the its counterpart, however it chose to keep its legs bent as if it was constantly poised to run.
"Speakers restored. Hello Siesta it is good to see you are awake on time." The taller robot suddenly said, and the moment Siesta heard its voice she knew exactly who she was speaking to.
"FS!?" She said surprised.
"Affirmative." The robot, now revealed to be FS responded. "Since my chassis cannot fit inside the majority of the halls within this base I required a solution. Due to the limitations of a Stalker unit I had a new body designed and requisitioned for use within the FOB."
FS curled his left arm in front of him, flexing his fingers experimentally. "My programming was unfortunately not designed compatible with such a small chassis, as such this body can still only be considered a porotype while I learn to adapt."
"I- I see. And what about them?" Siesta asked pointing to the other robot behind him.
"The chassis located behind me was a discarded prototype that proved functional but was even less compatible with my AI. Due to our limited resources at this time I calculated it would not be wise to discard or recycle the unit. Instead a different AI was implemented into the unit. They will function as your caretaker and personal trainer. To maximize our efficiency during solo assignments I will be focusing on Training my Pilot while this unit will focus on training you." FS explained.
"That makes sense I suppose, um, speaking of your Pilot..." Siesta turned to the Cot next to her where Louise was still sound asleep buried under her covers. 'How in the founder's name did she not get woken up by that alarm?'
FS noticed her gaze and turned to address his Pilot. "Pilot it is currently 0503 hours, your training is due to begin at this time."
No response.
"Pilot please wake up. It is time to begin your training." FS pressed.
"mmmmm... later..." Louise curled deeper into her blanket. Siesta was shocked at the attitude the young noble was displaying and nearly burst out laughing at the sight.
"Pilot there is no later. We must begin your training immediately." FS pressed further.
"... as your master I order you to.. *YAWN*... let me sleep more..." Louise mumbled out.
FS hesitated before dipping his head in acknowledgement. "Very well then Pilot, you may sleep until we reach our first destination of the day."
Gently reaching over FS picked up Louise inside her blanket and began to carry her out towards the door. While he did so Louise opted to curl up even more in her blankets snuggling herself against his chest. Siesta was mildly concerned as to why FS was carrying Louise but trusted that her familiar would never bring her to any harm.
As FS made his way out of the room her turned over his shoulder to address the remaining occupants. "Siesta once you are ready meet us at the elevator to the lower floors. Unit designation : Yasuke will guide you."
The other robot, now revealed to be called 'Yasuke' bowed at its waist as FS took his leave. Once he was gone he turned to Siesta. "Your old clothing has been moved to storage alongside you luggage for the time being. Your new uniform is located underneath you bed. Please dress yourself quickly and join me outside." It said again in its accented mechanical voice.
Not wanting to get in trouble for her tardiness Siesta quickly moved to the side of her bed and crouched down to look for some sort of storage unit. However to her surprise she could not spot any handle that would indicate one was there. She did take note of the different coloured square shape beneath the bed. Acting on a whim she pressed into it looking for a handle. However much to her surprise she felt it sink into the wall. Fearing she might have broken something she retracted her arm. Only to be surprised to see a drawer slide out from the wall beneath her bed.
Instead of bothering to questioning it she simply opted to add it to the list of items she cannot understand and move on. Within the compartment she could see a fresh pair of undergarment a forest green T-shirt a set of cargo pants with an odd mix of greens and brown patters, a green pair of socks and lastly pair of black boots that were tall enough to reach a quarter way up her shin. Not wasting any time she quickly changed herself into her new clothes noting the incredible softness of the new fabric, and was left wondering if they were made from the same cloth used for noble attire.
Once she was fully dressed she was met with another issue, the boots. She had no trouble putting them on, but the ropes that held them together appeared to be an enormous tripping hazard. Since she couldn't seem to figure out what to do with them she simply opted to tuck them into her boots and forget about them.
Now fully dressed she made her way out the door to be greeted by Yasuke who was waiting for her. In his arms she noted that he was holding an extra set of clothes almost identical to her own, the only difference being that they were slightly smaller.
"Ready to leave?" Yasuke inquired to her before pausing to look at her shoes. "Your shoelaces are untied. Ma'am this is a serious tripping hazard, please tie them immediately."
"Um... I don't know how?" Siesta replied confused, was it referring to those ropes she stuffed into her shoes? And did it just refer to her as ma'am? Was that supposed to be a shortened version of Madame?
Yasuke looked her in the eyes for a moment before nodding. Crouching down he placed the uniform in his hands to one side before reaching down to her boots. "Since we do not posses time to waste I will tie them for you today, however, I will add 'tying shoelaces' to your list of lessons."
Working quickly the robots hands moved with speed and precision beyond human capability quickly threading the laces through the boots before pulling them to tighten them around her feet. Once they were tight Yasuke tied the laces in a neat bow to lock them in place. "Is this comfortable?" It inquired.
Siesta feeling quite relieved now that the boots were snug on her feet and no longer felt like they could slip off at any moment nodded. "Thank you."
Yasuke nodded and re-collected the clothing before rising to his usual stance. "This way, we must move swiftly if we are to avoid keeping the commander waiting. Under normal circumstance running in the base is prohibited for safety reasons, however there is no other personnel at this time."
Moving at the speed of a light jog the two quickly navigated the halls to the nearest elevator to the lower floors. Once they arrived they were greeted by the sight of Louise still bundled in her blankets fast asleep in FS's arms.
FS's expressionless 'face' regarded the duo neutrally as the joined him in the elevator. Only nodding to acknowledge their arrival.
"Beginning descent." Was all FS said once they were inside the small metal room. As though he commanded it, which he probably had, two metal doors slid shut in front of them. A moment later Siesta suddenly felt her stomach leap up to her throat momentarily. Thankfully as quickly as the sensation came however it left. Suddenly a chime rang out within the room and the doors opened to a different location than before.
"Sub-level. . . 3" A distorted voice somehow managing to sound more fake than FS and Yasuke's suddenly announced. Without waiting FS stepped out of the doors and began walking into the open corridor they now found themselves in. To Siesta's surprise their was a coloured map on the wall directly in front of her. Taking a quick look she noticed that the entire floor was laid out in a rectangular shape with a number of rooms formed into a row with each sharing the same size. Although four in particular seemed to stand out amongst the rest.
Squinting to get a closer look at the symbols she noted that the symbols were vaguely familiar to her. However much to her surprise, and slight annoyance, FS did not pause to look at the map and instead continued past it. Not wanting to be left behind she was forced into a jog to catch up. During their brief walk down the corridors Siesta noted that the doorways built into the walls all seemed to follow a pattern. There was a pair of doorways with a small gap between them and then a large gap, then another pair. Followed by another equally large sized gap between them. Before she could ask FS about the rooms they abruptly turned to their right as a pair of doors automatically swung open in beside them.
Above the door was a symbol that Siesta thought she recognized as 'pool' but she might have been mistaken. Beyond the doors she noticed the floor turned was made of some sort of white tiles in a repeating pattern. In the center of the long narrow room were a few benches, while lining the walls were small lockers. Siesta regarded the room with interest as they passed through.
While she was admiring the room she kept pace with FS and Yasuke whom she overheard issue a small warning to FS. "I do not believe this to be a wise course of action."
"I have downloaded multiple recordings of militia drill sergeants training militia recruits. By my calculations this is an acceptable course of action. Additionally I am not violating protocol 3 in any manner." FS responded neutrally.
Yasuke was a silent for a moment before backing off with a respectful nod and responding, "Understood."
Overhearing the exchange Siesta began to grow a little worried at the mention of protocol 3. Additionally the mention of a 'drill sergeant' gave her an uneasy feeling, her grandfather had often teased that even the strict nobles had nothing against his drill sergeants when he underwent training. Now she was to accept that her Lady's familiar was idolizing such a being?
Before she could voice her concern however they exited the room/hallway and entered an large open space with a ceiling so high Siesta wondered how the roof hadn't collapsed on them. The room had nothing on the size of the hangar they had entered through but it was still very large. In front of them however she was quite surprised to see a large body of clear blue water. The body of water was probably as deep as FS was tall in his Titan chassis!
Suddenly Siesta grew very worried about what was to come next.
"Pilot, we are here. This is you last chance to wake up." FS stated, jostling the petite noble in his arms. Alas she had fallen so deep in sleep his words did not even reach her ears. Upon receiving no response FS seemed to wait a few seconds before coming to a conclusion. Reaching around with one free arm he grabbed hold of one edge of the blanket, and while still holding on tight...
thrust the blanket outwards pitting Louise in a barrel roll as she was quickly unravelled from the blanket and into the open air.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH-SPLASH!" Louise's indignified shout was cut short as collided with the calm water surface in a large splash of water. Moments later she resurfaced frantically slapping the water in an attempt to keep her head above the water.
"Protocol two : Uphold the mission. Current mission : wake Pilot for training. Are you awake Pilot?" FS neutrally asked. And Siesta was left slack-jawed at the sight. How was FS acting so calm as Louise was clearly about to drown in front of them.
"CANT SWIM! I- CANT SWIM! FS GET ME OUT THIS INSTANT!" Louise screeched.
"Answer is acceptable. Protocol two upheld. Warning Pilot in jeopardy upholding Protocol 3 : Protect the Pilot." Leaning over FS calmly reached out and grabbed Louise's writs, hoisting her out of the water with little effort. Rising to his full height he held Louise a few inches above the waters surface and she shivered from the cold. "Pilot, you behaviour this morning has been unacceptable and unbecoming of a Pilot. if you wish to continue with your training improvement will be necessary."
Louise felt her mind lurch to a halt at her familiar's words. Her behaviour was unacceptable!? How!? Because she wanted to sleep longer? She was still tired! Therefore the sun must not even be up by now right? Or had she just been unreasonably tired because of the events from the night prior... Regardless of that fact that did not give them the right to throw her into the bloody water! She could have drowned!
"Unacceptable? I'll have you know I am acting precisely as expected for a young noble lady and I will not have some commoner machine tell me otherwise!" Lousie retorted. "I doubt you know the first thing about being an aristocrat!"
"Correction Pilot, I have extensive files on aristocrats from varying cultures in multiple languages. You misunderstand Pilot, I was not referring to your behaviour as a noble. Negative, my dialogue has been in reference to your attitude as a soldier and a Pilot." FS stated. "If you wish to remain as my Pilot you will need to leave behind your aristocrat attitude."
"Wha-!" Louise was gobsmacked! Leave behind her noble attitude!? Become a disgraced noble!? Never in a million years! "NEVER! Familiar I am the third born daughter of the duchess Valliere! I cannot simply leave my old attitude behind! I would bring shame to my family's name! No, worse! With my ties to the royal family I could bring shame to the whole country!"
FS visibly recoiled at Louise's words acknowledging Louise's status. For a moment he was silent, before, "Understood, if this will be the case going forwards then I propose a compromise. You do not have to leave all of you etiquette behind, however you must create a middle ground. High ranking officers and Soldiers maintain a similar attitude to your own, however you leave behind you prejudice towards those of a lower social standing. It will not be tolerated." FS stated firmly.
Louise opened her mouth to retort further when she suddenly felt FS's grip on her wrist slacken ever so slightly. "FINE! FINE! I understand! I understand!" Louise quickly said, eager not to be dumped in the freezing water again.
"Very good Pilot, I look forward to seeing you change in attitude." FS replied. "There are towels located within the locker room behind me. Dry yourself off and get dressed in your new uniform. Once you have cleaned up I will guide you to the cafeteria where your breakfast will be served before your first lessons of the day."
FS then swung her around and gently plopped her down on her feet at the waters edge. Once she was on the ground FS turned and made his way towards the doors.
"Louise. I calculate that you have potential to become an excellent Pilot." FS said without turning back. "Do not prove my calculations wrong."
And with those words he made his exit through a now open doorway in the wall. Following swiftly behind him was Siesta who was being guided by a robot that Louise had never seen before. Or maybe she had... she vaguely recalled there being two FS's when she first woke up, although at the time she had simply suspected she simply been seeing double. It appears she wasn't after all.
Once the pair had left through the door however, Louise came to the crushing realization that she was now the only person occupying the room. Glancing behind her she saw the body of water FS had just thrown her into, she shivered unconsciously at the memory, and possible also because of she was still soaked and dressed in her undergarments. Before returning her gaze to the doorway the others had left through. Considering she was still dressed in the now thoroughly soaked undergarments FS had given the night before she decided it would be in her best interest to get changed.
Making her way to the doors, she nearly jumped when they moved on their own. 'I still doubt his claims about there being no magic involved.' She thought bitterly. Beyond the doors she found a clean white towel laying on a wooden bench with no backrest, with folded set of clothes laying next to it. Holding them up she noticed they were nearly identical to the ones Siesta had been wearing. She suddenly felt her eye twitch.
'FS! Where are my clothes!? My academy uniform! Dresses, outfits, everything!' Louise screamed through her connection to her familiar.
'As I previously stated your luggage was moved to your personal quarters. As I stated before you will not have access to your quarters until you have earned you Pilot certifications licence.' FS immediately responded.
Louise growled as she felt slighted by FS's words. 'As you master I demand you bring me clothing befitting a noble this instant!' She mentally screamed to him.
'Denied.' Came FS's cold reply.
'Excuse me!?' Louise was caught off guard when her familiar blatantly denied her direct order.
'You will wear the provided uniform as it is standard for all privates in training. Refusal to do so will result in immediate administrative discharge." FS stated.
'administrative discharge?' Louise questioned unfamiliar with the term.
'You will be stripped of your rank and our neural link will be severed due to you not meeting the qualifications of a Pilot.' FS informed Louise. 'Louise, please put on the uniform.'
Louise blinked. That... that couldn't be real right? ... a familiar could not simply sever their contract... could they?
Louise had no proof of the claim, and then again... her familiar had already practically laughed in the face of the impossible many times over by now... Louise did not hesitate to quickly dry herself off with the towel and immediately change in to the uniform laid out for her. Her body was still not entirely dried off so the fabric began to stick to her making it difficult for her to put them on properly. But in her haste and confusion it didn't matter to her.
Two minutes later she was wearing the uniform in a wrinkled mess that made Louise face red with embarrassment. If anyone saw her now she would be a disgrace to the noble society. Biting her tongue she bit back a frustrated scream as she struggled with getting her socks on her feet but the fabric kept clinging to the moisture on her feet. The clothing item kept stubbornly crumpling in on itself and refusing to properly slide on.
Finally after what had felt like ages she managed to pull the fabric over her ankle and along her shin. Before coming to the crushing realization that she will need to repeating the same process on her other foot. Learning from her prior experience she quickly dried off her other foot to avoid repeating the ordeal. With her foot now fully dried she found sliding the sock over the other foot immensely easier than the other. Her last obstacle was now the incredibly odd looking boots FS had provided her. Sensing that she had already taken too long she hastily threw them on not bothering to wonder why they felt so loose on her feet or even bother to tie down the ropes that seemed to hold them together.
Knowing she had taken long enough Louise broke out in to a run towards the door to meet FS. Feeling the ropes of her boots slapping against her shins as she ran, but she ignored them. If she was any later FS might deny her breakfast as well! She just needed to re-
The ropes on one of her boots suddenly refused to move locking her foot to the ground and sending her into a tumble. Flying forwards Louise instinctively threw her arms out to catch herself but her arms weren't strong enough to stop her plummet towards the ground.
She felt her nose slam into the floor, hard. As it impacted she heard a sickening crunch and cracking noise. She suddenly felt very dizzy and faint all at once, her head was spinning and it hurt... it hurt so much. A warm liquid began to run down her cheeks, tears? Was she crying? She couldn't cry, no not now, not when that commoner was so close! Pushing herself into a kneeling position she tentively raised a hand to where she had struck an-
She was stopped by a metal limb grasping her wrist. Glancing up she noticed FS kneeling in front of her.
"For you safety, please allow me to inspect your injury." He said, through her neural link she could feel notes of concern and worry in his voice. Louise nodded ever so slightly but regretted the movement as her nose flared with pain. Releasing her wrist FS moved his left hand to her forehead brushing the hair out of her face to better examine her nose. With his free hand he reached out towards her face, delicately placing his hand on the bridge of her nose. The contact resulting in a stabbing pain that raged across her entire face threatening to knock her out cold. "Pilot, your nose is broken. I will need to re-align it before I can administer medication in order to boost your healing process."
Louise felt her eyes widen with shock, she'd... she'd broken her nose! But... but she just fallen onto the floor! That couldn't be right! If, if she broke her nose then... then she could be permanently deformed for the rest of her life!
"I am going to count to three Pilot, I advise you take a deep breath." FS suddenly warned.
"One." Putting two and two together Louise did not need to be told what would happen on three. Quickly taking a deep breath to prepare for what she knew would come when the countdown finished.
"Two-crack" "GAH!" Louise screamed in pain as the pain she felt before suddenly returned tenfold. Instinctively both hands shot to where FS's still held the bridge of her nose.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO COUNTING TO THREE!?" Louise suddenly screamed.
"Three." FS said neutrally. "Pilot I followed the human theory that the pain is lessened when you do not see it coming."
"WELL IT CERTAINLY DOESN'T!" She yelled again. "Gah! I thought you said you couldn't lie! You told me you would count to three!"
"I did not lie Pilot." FS stated. "I counted to three, however at no point did I state I would re-align you nose when I counted to three. You might feel a slight sting."
"Wha-OW!" Louise yelled as she suddenly felt a prick in her left shoulder. Glancing down she noticed FS had stabbed a small cylindrical object into her shoulder. A moment later he pressed the top and a small hiss of air was audible "FS what is that?"
"A painkiller mixed with a medical cocktail designed to temporarily heighten the human bodies natural healing abilities." FS calmly stated. "You nose will be fully healed within forty eight hours. However until then I advise you refrain from touching your nose."
Louise growled at FS. "How do I know you aren't leaving anything out of that statement!?" She yelled suspiciously as she gripped FS's hand that was preventing her from massaging her nose.
"There is no benefit in withholding any further information from you Pilot." FS replied before leaning to his side to see behind Louise. "My apologies Pilot, I appear to have made a miscalculation."
"Oh? And that being!?" Louise asked heatedly still reeling from the pain in her nose.
"It would appear you are unfamiliar with shoelaces." FS replied. "Private Siesta had a similar issue however I calculated that it was simply due to humans of her social status not having access to higher quality items."
Louise raised a brow, laces? Was he referring to the ropes in her shoes.
"Please bring you feet in front of you. I will tie them for you." FS offered as he leaned back finally releasing Louise's nose
Louise squinted her eyes at him suspiciously. Her nose was still burning in pain but, it had lessened considerably most likely thanks to whatever FS had done. With the pain dimming her head was slowly beginning to clear. Finally taking a deep breath she nodded her head brought her feet in front of her. However as she did so, she felt something warm dribble across her lips. Wiping it away she inspected her hand to see a red substance coating it. Blood. She was bleeding. Brilliant, unless she could find some sort of handkerchief she would ruin her outfit.
Before she could point it out to FS, he was already holding out a handkerchief for her to use. "Press this against the base of your nose, please take caution not to press against your nose or you will experience pain."
Louise glared at his words but gratefully took the handkerchief, using it to dab under her nose. Wiping her mouth she held the handkerchief under her nose as FS quickly tied her shoes together for her. Louise watched as he deftly tightened each boot securely around both of her feet, before tying them into a bow-like knot.
"In the future Pilot, please do not every run with your laces untied. It is a hazard to your health." FS stated, and Louise could feel the hidden concern in his voice.
Louise did not respond, she simply stared down at the bloody handkerchief in her hand.
"Pilot? Pilot are you alright?"
"...just a zero..." Louise muttered, her tone and words too muddled and quiet for a human to register. But not for a machine. FS attempted to reach down to Louise but she batted his hand away. "Why... why are you no different than anyone else...?"
"Pilot?" FS questioned.
"All those years at the academy... I was nothing more than an embarrassment. A stain on my family's name!" Louise's voice began to rise in tone. "I came here praying to Brimir that things would be different! Yet here I am worse off than before!"
"Pilot it was not my intention to-"
"You blame me for being who I am! Worse yet, you claim my attitude as a noble is unacceptable! But how else am I supposed to act!" Louise cut FS off. "I was raised this way! I was raised to be the duchess's daughter, I was put through hundreds of etiquette and manner classes, each of them teaching me precisely how to act! Every day I do my upmost to uphold that etiquette! That perfect daughter's face! And yet... my entire life... all I've ever been told is that I've been doing it all wrong!"
"I can't cast spells without causing damage to everyone around me! I can't walk two feet out my door without my classmates ridiculing me! I can't even face my own family! Not once has my mother written to me to congratulate me on my success... not even once..." Louise began to break down into tears unable to bear pain of her past. "When you said you would train me to become I pilot I thought things would change... "
FS was silent as he watched his Pilot's mental state deteriorate in front of him. He did not know how to react to her sudden confession and subsequent breakdown.
"But who was I kidding? After all I don't even know what a Pilot even is." Louise muttered through her sobs. That caught FS's attention, in a nanosecond he rooted through his files and found a excerpt from a certain rifleman turned Pilot. Turning to face his Pilot he placed a hand on her shoulder comfortingly.
"Pi-... Louise. Please follow me. There is something I wish to show you." Calculating that it may not be best to refer to his Pilot by her rank he instead addressed her by name.
"What now!? Do you wish to throw me in the pool again? You've already managed to wreck my pride quicker than the students at the academy did! What could you possibly show me that would help!" Louise growled, her sadness giving way to anger.
"I am going to show you what I Pilot really is. What I am training you to become." FS stated. Louise head shot up to meet FS's gaze.
"How?" She asked suddenly intrigued, a flicker of hope dancing in her eyes.
"I do not posses the vocabulary to explain it to you in a manner that I calculate you will understand. So for now... trust me." FS said, removing his hand from Louise's shoulder he offered it to her.
"Trust you?" Louise asked, her anger returning.
"I cannot lie Louise." FS replied.
"You cannot lie but you can omit telling the truth." Louise stated testily. Before pondering her next words. "Then answer this for me this, familiar. For what reason did you throw me in the water? For what reason did you have me dress as a commoner? and lastly how do I know what you are about to show me isn't just another ploy to embarrass me?"
"My reasons for throwing you in the pool this morning were to mimic the attitude demonstrated by drill sergeants in the Militia military. The uniform you are wearing is not meant for 'commoners' but for soldiers in training. Lastly what I intend to show you is what I intend to raise you to become. I am a Titan, not a Pilot. I am a machine and you are my commander. However until you qualify as a commander I cannot relinquish my control to you. I have no intention of severing my link to you Pilot, but I am forever bound by my protocols. It has only been due to a glitch in my programming that my link to you has not been automatically severed. If we are to remain linked Louise, you must become a Pilot." FS said and Louise could have sworn she heard the conviction in his monotone voice.
"Now, Louise. Will you follow me?" FS asked again and while still offering his hand he stood to his full height.
Louise narrowed her eyes, her pride as a noble demanded she reject his offer. It demanded that she reinstate herself as his master. To not follow his rules but abide by her own, by the same rules that she has been conditioned to follow her entire life.
Louise grit her teeth. If she was going to change this was to be her first step. Raising her chin she met FS's gaze once more. Taking his hand in her own she said "Very well then, lead the way fa-..." Louise paused and pursed her lips reconsidering her words for a moment before. "Lead the way... FS."
FS nodded and turned on his heel guiding Louise to the doors. If Louise was to become a Pilot she would have to leave behind everything she had been raised to know. She would need to break free from her pride and mannerisms. It would be a long journey, and a tough one too.
But if she wished to become something more than a zero... then she was going to have to start somewhere.
And that is a wrap folks!
phew, FS is finally breaking through to Louise, literally. Let it be known that people work far better with a goal in mind. Now then, Louise has a journey to becoming a fully fledged Pilot, she has a variety of skillsets she needs to acquire and a great deal of pain to endure before she can earn her qualifications. Maybe some words of encouragement from some former or active Pilots will help her? I guess you'll have to wait and see!
Oh! And before I forget, the name Yasuke originates from an African slave turned samurai. The man was bought by a Japanese warlord and became their personal bodyguard, and eventually a Samurai. His story was too relatable to Siesta's for me not to name our new teacher after him.
Now then, I don't have anything more to say, so onto the reviews!
Halo :
It's alive!
Hmm I imagine curing Tabithia's mother would be a tricky one not all materials of the planet are the same and I figure there are magical materials that FS might have to account for with the help of Louise and her classmates. Plus that would be too much fan service to happen even though it would be very heartwarming to picture Tabithia reuniting with her mother I am excited to see that again.
And picturing her "younger sister" attempt to climb into FS cockpit. FS would scan her and hypothesize that he is getting some deja from the girl, the reason would be unknown.
It is indeed! I only immediately went back into hiding for a month and half! (oops...) Nevertheless I will not be abandoning this fic, or any other Fic I write in the future.
Yeah, sadly curing Tabitha's mother is not something that's possible with Militia tech, not when there is a curse involved. Magic and Science don't always mix to well. Still it is a heartwarming idea that Tabitha's mother is one day cured, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
As for her 'little sister' well, once she's back in the picture some shenanigans are bound to ensue.
Thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next one!
Rando guy that likes this FF :
It does satisfy fairly well, I understand the issues with making a floor plan, any practical designs are a bitch to make. Other than that, I'm looking forward to when the pew pews come into play.
And I can already tell that Louise's classmates will be surprised come next semester.
Mweheheheh, the other students are in for a real shocker when Louise gets back. Obviously she's going to go through some changes while she's gone. Oh and I can't wait to get to the firearms training, that's gonna be a fun section.
On another note, yeah the bloody floorplan as I have come to call it reared its ugly head again. That paired with school assignments getting in the way it really put a bullet in my productivity.
Regardless, thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next one!
Full metal douchebag :
Nice to see you back at this. Looking forward to more. It's good to be back! Thanks for the review and I can't wait to show off more so stay tuned for the next chapter!
DireWulf Pack :
Amazing chapter again as always! I love the path this story is taking! I find it interesting though how FS was referring to the base, like I know that it is probably a standard FOB but the way he was talking during the tour seemed as if he has plans for it to eventually be filled with personnel. Maybe he plans on training some commoners to operate the base, to become soldiers, pilots even? Louise with her own private army sounds like a fun idea lol. Again this chapter was a lot of fun to read! I look forward to the next one!
Heh, glad you noticed it. Yep, as an AI FS has a tendency to examine every possible angle. And while mechanical staff don't require any training, there are a number of limits to what they can do. Additionally I believe I mentioned this before but I do have plans in place for other characters to eventually become Pilots. As for the private army part, well, they've already got one recruit, it won't be long before they start drawing in even more!
Glad to hear you enjoyed reading the chapter, still excited to write more so I hope you are still sticking around for that! Until next time!
The memester :
Finally a new chapter... and Im sad I read it so quickly Still I can wait, you write good stuff and I like it honestly. See ya at the next update you nerd Haha, my many thanks for your continued understanding and patience. Glad you enjoyed the chapter and I look forward to seeing you in future chapters, my fellow nerd.
Roboman :
I see you're really into audience interaction with these review replies, and I think that's great! However, having to constantly flip through two different tabs in order to find the proper comment to the response gets old real quick. It's not a huge problem at all, just a bit annoying. My suggestion, if you don't mind artificiallly inflating the word count even higher, would be to put excerpts of the relevent part(s) in quotes, folowed by your response. Example:
"Basic Username": "Review or segment of review.
" You: "Response."
"Additional segment."
"Additional response."
I'd also advise putting either the reviews or responses in bold or something so we can easily tell where one ends and the other begins. And maybe just say something like "review too long, find in review page" for particularly long ones. Also, have you considered cross-posting on AO3? They have an actual comment system where you can just reply instead of having to write the response into the actual chapter, though I can understand if you don't want the hassle of managing two accounts.
Is this the format you were referring to? Heh, let me know what you think. It certainly works quite well, although all the extra text does fatten up the wordcount considerably, so that is an issue. Regardless I have started putting the final wordcount of the actual story without the reviews or A/N in the title. As for cross posting on AO3 definitely considered it. Still am honestly, just gotta figure out if I can manage it. Now onto the joke section of the review.
And now, my response to your response to Burnedman's review (part A).
Judge: Trial is now in session for the case of Mr. Colbert vs Count Mott. Count Mott stands accused of the attempted kidnaping of one Miss Siesta Tarbes. The prosecution may call its first witness.
Colbert: Witness, please state your name for the record. FS: I am FS-1041, Militia Vanguard Class Titan. Colbert: Please give your account.
FS: I was minding my business when the Count came up and- (For full results, add the following onto a Youtube url: /watch?t34&vCHPd-uLsTV4)
Mott: OBJECTION! How do we know you're telling the truth?
FS: I am incapable of lying. Mott: Then show us some proof
Colbert: OBJECTION! Didn't you hear him? He's incapable of lying. Do you have wax in your ears, or are you just deaf?
Mott: OBJECTION! Don't tell me you actually believe that? Are you really that gullible a fool?
Colbert: OBJECTION! It takes one to know one, you DUMBASS!
Mott: OBJECTION! NO, U!
(Yes, I did spend way too much time on this stupid joke. No, I'm not sorry.)
HAHAHA! Oh man I got a good laugh outta this review. Thanks for the laughs and the review, until next time I hope to see you here!
EricFreak :
Cant wait to see Louise become a pilot! This chapter was fun, exposition heavy, but fun. This chapter hints at things to come, I think Louise will need a crash course with all the things happening in the world. Time never stays still for proper training. Just look at pearl harbor or any other war when one side was caught flat footed. I just hope Louise and Siesta can learn together quickly. A name for unit 001. tough one really. Shogōki... Exia... Blue Destiny... Wing... HAL... ... Ok I'm done... .. Ivan...
Evengelion, Gundam, Seed, Wing, 2001, Cyborg001... Pop culture references for names, maybe? Just a thought. Haha me either! It's a long journey ahead and I'm having a lot of fun laying down little hints for what's to come. Louise will be receiving a high school level education, meaning a crash course of every modern subject which is bound to be an enlightening experience. Now as for the name suggestions...
Phew, a lotta names in this one, and a considerable amount of Neon genesis references. I might end up using more than one in the future. Still haven't reached a final verdict on the name, but I will have it by the time our buddy SS #00001 shows up again.
Anywho, thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next chapter!
N1cok :
You need Grammarly and a beta. Pretty sure there are a couple of sentences that wouldn't be fixed with Grammarly itself. From misused words to sentences being structure strangely.
Also, put a line instead of making us read "line break" over and over again.
Yep, my grammar and spelling definitely took some hits early on so I hope it has improved since then. Additionally the chapters are less rushed now, allowing for me to proof read and polish them better. The "line breaks" were also a result of the rushed chapters sadly.
Is this an AU where Louise and the Princess don't know each other? Nope, everything up until the summoning and Siesta's grandfather is the same as cannon, no need to worry there.
So far I've been enjoying the story. Glad to hear it! I hope to see around in the following chapters as Louise develops into a fully fledged Pilot!
Apex Primus :
This was great! I love the whole tour and Louise's reaction to anything technologically advanced. Can't wait to see what role SS #00001 plays, and I especially can't wait to see Louise and Siesta's training. That's going to be a slog through education, then basic training. Heh, yup I've always loved seeing character's reactions to advanced technology. It's always so much fun! Now our buddy SS #00001 will have his part to play going forwards, but until I find the right moment, he's gonna be warming up the bench with the rest of the show's main cast I'm afraid. As for their education and training, think of it like high school, with double the hours and ten times the amount of PE training!
Heh, it's not gonna be an easy road that's for sure. Thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next chapter!
Thefallenjedi66 :
Please get rid of her stupid arrogant "noble" attitude. That is annoying as shite and WILL get her killed on the battlefield. Make sure she becomes a warrior befitting of the militia with sound tactics and strategy, NOT exactly like the IMC. Also read up on the art of war so that you know exactly what she is being taught, along with getting rid of any unnecessary and stupid habits of hers, AND MAKE SURE SHE CALLS GUNS GUNS! You can also have the specters be in the trees and do some Vietnam stuff like 'THEIR IN THE TREEEEEEEEES!' Haha, welp I figured you'd comment on that! I hope you enjoyed how it was addressed in this chapter, but I also hope its kinda clear as to why its not just going to vanish overnight either. I have in fact gotten myself a copy of the art of war and I will be quoting it during Louise's lessons. And don't worry about her habits and naming habits, like I mentioned above she doesn't know any better yet.
Now for the their in the trees part, I found that pretty funny and I will make sure to make use of it going forwards. Thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next chapter!
edeath756 :
you are doing amazing job the personalities everything you are doing amazing keep up the good work Thanks! It means a lot to hear that! Really appreciate the review and I hope to see you in the next chapter!
A fan :
Nice to see the fob and have you back 1st mrvn marx I just keep forgetting how Marvin units art in text its not a reference in of its self but the communist robot is a reference of the YouTube omni voice and one of his videos (a perfectly normal setinal I think? Its been a while) but its literally a stereotypical Russian robot going on about the socialist party and soforth 2ndly i hope to see someday an omake where siesta and Louise learn of gaming and we get gamer!Louise and progamer!siesta all the memes begin Hoo boy communist robots? Gamer Louise and Siesta? Dayum this is one wild review. Well, I love the ideas and, will definitely consider them going forwards. Thanks for th-
forgot this 3rdly I have 4 names for the specter 2 male 2 female Napoleon and sarge for male as for female i just ripped the names from 2 character from the hit game crosscode Emilie the French girl who has a thing for punching and lea an evotar (think an ai clone of a human) who has a very limited vocabulary because of a broken speech modulator and has 2 sides very friendly and smug girl from time to time and a very... murderous girl because she lives in a video game (kills tons of loot ) sooo... yeah but if you go and pull the communist robot joke Rasputin because it a normal Russian name plus the warming from destiny. Hah, no problem. Don't worry I didn't miss your name suggestions, they are on the list don't worry! As for the Rasputin name, that is definitely a funny one. Let's just hope we don't end up with a robot trying to start a communist revolution across all of Tristan.
Now, as I was saying before, thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next one!

Who need sleep right?
I just spent the entire evening into early morning binging this.
werf it.
This is by far one of the better Familiar of Zero fanfics. No argument, no but ands or ifs. It just is, and I am VERY excited to see where you take this, and hoping to GOD (funny because I'm non religious) you finish this unlike so many good ones that juts seem to... die.
Funny you should mention sleep, as I write this response at 11:35 at night (I only just started answering reviews at 10:15), with class tomorrow... werf it! Also glad to hear you enjoy the fic so much! I put a lot of effort into keeping the story rich and strong, as well as original to keep it interesting for readers. Not everyday you get a Titanfall fanfic so I gotta make it count right!
As for finishing, worry not my friend, I may take long breaks in-between but I am adamant that I will be finishing this fic one way or another!
(funnily enough, the entire reason behind me starting to write was actually when an FOZ/Destiny crossover fic just announced it was now discontinued. So I picked up my phone and began typing my own. Then of course I started to play Titanfall again so looking for inspiration I came to this crossover section only to fin two other fics long since abandoned. So I wrote my own!)
Thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next chapter!
Tiamatio :
Man this was a really good chapter! It's only the beginning of the Training Arc, but we're definitely seeing glimpses of Louise getting a humbling, which is always welcome. Also Holo Lastimosa is such a top tier choice, I'm glad you went with it. I can't wait to see how Louise and Siesta grow under the tutelage of a great Pilot... even if he's just a hologram. Also FS hoping that Louise gets stronger so she can call the shots is very sweet, that was a very nice touch! My only issue with this chapter was that I read through it so fast! I absolutely love this story man, keep up the amazing work! heh, Louise getting a humbling. I think I gave her a bit more than a slice of humble pie this time. Still a shame I wasn't able to squeeze holo-Lastimosa into this chapter I was really hoping I could, but the word count had already hit 8K and this chapter was already so late. Still, I got plenty of plans for their growth going forwards and I can't wait to develop everyone's character's going forward. Hah, sorry you read through it so fast, that's always the worst feeling. I hope this one felt a little bit longer!
Thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next one!
Raven :
Alright, Pilot training here we go! Stay calm, STAY CALM!
Proposal - the name of the SS unit #00001 should be Marvin because why not.
Louise, that glorious bastard, just needs to swallow her stupid pride and accept that a commoner like Siesta can complete with her. If you think about it, Louise has the magic but lacks in stamina (which she needs[Pilots run and wall run all the time]) while Siesta already has a massive amount of stamina due to her being a made (I'd like to imagine she'll get the hang of it first due to the amount of physical labor running and jumping [and shooting] does to your body).
Sure Louise will catch up slowly and learn how to effectively use her explosions, she's still need to train twice as hard due to the lack of physical prowess. Besides: Louise can go boom, but Siesta can go zoom, and when you see 40 to 60 km/h pilot zooming, can she hit it? Doubt it.
"Speed is life son" -Viper to Jack Cooper and BT-7274 I'M CALM! TOTALLY NOT FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW! DONT WORRY LOUISE ITS JUST A BROKEN NOSE!
Hee hee, might get some flak for that one but hey! It builds character, like her training will! As for the proposal, it has been thrown into the ballot. I want to be sure to choose a name that will befit the personality I'm going to give them. I just need to figure out their impact on the story first. Also lotta comments on Louise's pride... well I hope this chapter did something for them!
As for Louise lacking in stamina but wielding magic, well why not both? She's definitely going to lag behind Siesta for a bit, but that's bound to change over time. 'Louise can go boom, but Siesta can go zoom', hah! That's a good one! Also I don't expect either of them to be landing any shots on anything for some time to come.
Once Louise gets the files for the air-fleets well, the skies will belong to her then.
Thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next chapter!
Knight of Fire :
Well now! I'm excited to see this return. I'm also excited for Louise to lose some of that overbearing nobility while going through boot camp, especially considering how tough modern boot camp is, and just how complicated pilot boot camp would be as well.
As for SS-0001's name, I have a few suggestions. Sydney is one. He's a sniper, and one of the most famous video game snipers is the one from TF2, and he's an Australian. Sydney also starts with an S, so it'd fit.
Sherman's another, being the name of the area where Respawn Entertainment is located (Sherman Oaks) and also being the name of a famous general.
Hal, for obvious reasons
Wheatley, not only because of Portal 2, but also due to the British sounding name. The British have produced some very well known Sniper Rifles like the AWP, and the top 5 confirmed sniper kills in the world are all from British Commonwealth Nations and Britain itself
Hecate, not only being the name of an Anti Material Rifle, but also due to said rifle being a French made one, linking it to Tristain
And lastly, Bond, Daniel, or Craig. Honestly, this is due to 007 (Numbers, ha!) and one of the movies in the 007 series being called Spectre. Hah! I'm glad to hear it! It certainly took a while but I'm back at it again! Louise and Siesta are certainly going to be subject to one hell of a time. Considering how tough you need to be to become a Pilot, it's certainly going to be one heck of a struggle.
I like the names you suggested a lot! I also love the meaning behind each of them, I've logged them all and I will be considering each one for SS #00001. ( I love the James bond refences at the at as well.)
Thanks for the review and I hope to see you in the next chapter!
NobleBell :
I like the story and what you're doing with it, I'll probably still read it when you update it but the A/N's actually hurt, there's 8,674 words in this chapter and 2,138 are in the A/N So I'm kind of scrolling down expecting a fair bit more story just to see that like 1/4 or 1/5 of the page scroll length is the A/N, it's not always this bad but it is happening kind of frequently when I counted the others with another I counted at 8.2k Total and 1.3k A/N, not saying you do it all the time but should kinda just not get too carried away with it, I feel you'd probably be better off replying in messages or something rather than padding total world count :S Yeah... is now a bad time to mention this one's currently clocking in at 11868 words? But, as a solution to this issue I have begun putting the actual word count without any of the reviews or Author's notes in the title. Let me know what you think, I'm always open to opinions here.
Regardless, thanks for the review! I hope the changes helped and I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Until next time!
A.R-r-R-r-READer :
Hallo.
Just wanted to leave a review here to tell you how wholesome your story is. Even if there are tiny flaws to your writing, it's not really much in the face of how much fun it's been to read your work. I'm super happy I managed to find this story, and I'm also glad this story hasn't been abandoned yet, unlike so many other great ones. Anyways, I'm about to go read the rest of the chapters here. Here's hoping the good vibes never stop! Love your writing.
Take it easy!
Hah, I appreciate the wholesome review, I do hope you enjoy the rest of the... oh wait you already have by this point, let me see what you think!
Just a bit of feedback regarding the plot, I don't think a lot of people would mind if you chose to draw things out, like giving the story a more slice-of-life feel. Well, my personal opinion is that your writing style does that wonderfully already, but what I'm trying to say is that you don't have to rush the plot. Take your time figuring out how you want to incorporate the main events, and how SF would influence or affect them. If you decide the story should be a bit slower, then I think we'd all be fine with that. Just as long as your audience is satisfied about the content that involves action scenes and such, I think a lot of us are here for that. I know I am, as long as you don't fail to progress the plot at a calm pace of your choosing and don't deviate from that- and also, chapter size is important. I'm not very picky, and I think the chapters have a good amount of stuff happening.
Just putting my thoughts out on the table. Have a great dayyyyyyyy!
Aw gee thanks man! Yeah, I totally jumped the gun on showing off the FOB, but to be fair I was already out of writing material for before Louise became a Pilot, and with ideas cropping up left right and centre for the training arc, it ultimately seemed like the best way to go forwards. Still, thanks for all the feedback I really appreciate it! Now for the last section, Good luck with the job change and uni! I can relate to the latter part since I'm also having to deal with all that stuff. Even just registering is a pain. At the very least, I'm glad to hear you don't plan on dropping any of your stories. That's really reassuring to hear. Also seeing that you have tons of plans for the pilot training arc is awesome too! Hopefully nothing gets blown out of proportion, but I approve of FS' actions this chapter. Louise is definitely stuck in her "noble" mindset until something snaps her out of it for a good while.
Loved it as always. Noticed that there's a small bit of cussing this time. Getting braver, are we? ;)
Name suggestion for Unit SS#0001: SSwan, or perhaps simply Swan, as a combination of the sounds of the letters "SS" and the number "one"... Welp, I'm still here! Entirely burnt out but still here! And yeah, uni applications are always a nightmare and a half. Thankfully mine went semi-smoothly. Now as for the story, hopefully things didn't get too far out of hand in this chapter, I did swing the mood around a little drastically, but hopefully not too too much. Regardless glad to hear you approve of FS's attitude, hopefully he doesn't get too much flak for yeeting Louise into the pool. (Although I'm betting that the majority of people to appreciate that part.)
Ah, yes and the cursing. Now that isn't actually a matter of confidence but a matter of choice. Curse words are typically powerful words and they really don't have any impact if characters spit them out constantly. (It also just seems so out of place.) So by choice I like to limit them, so that when I do use them in writing, they have the impact I'm going for.
Also got the name suggestions, they have been added to the pool! (Not the one Louise was tossed in don't worry)
Thanks for your reviews and I hope to see you in the next chapter!

Okay, due to the sheer VOLUME of your review, I'm gonna respond in a PM so that I don't destroy the wordcount on the document. (and because the rest of your review is on there too)
