Something that my dumb brain came up with.
I own what I own.
Onigoroshi
Chapter 1
Game Start!
"Yo dayo~!" Said the image of a white haired girl whose long hair was done on two braids on the screen. "How's everyone today? Good? You're all good? That's great!" She said as she smiled and nodded after receiving the comments of those that she asked. "My day was great too! I had some eggs and bread for breakfast, it's simple but it was nice to have."
The girl on the screen would have been what one would call a normal girl, if not for the fact that she was a 2D image and that she has a pair of blood red horns on the front of her head along with a pair of bone white war axes strapped onto the back of her yukata.
The girl then stopped as she read a certain comment that came, and narrowed her eyes as she pouted. "Milk? What do you mean I should drink more milk?! I will let you know that Yoake is at an average height! Yoake is not short at all!" She said with that pout on her face before shaking her head and smiling once again.
"Well, as scheduled, today we will do a drawing stream!" The red eyed girl said excitedly as she wiggled around to the corner of the screen, making room for the panel where the soon to be drawing will go.
The white haired girl then began to talk enthusiastically as she began drawing, talking through various topics be it everyday occurrences or the latest trends that had just appeared and lodged itself on the net.
"-watching?" One of his friends asked as he looked at his phone, making him take out one of his earphones to actually listen to what he asked.
"What did you say?" He asked his glasses wearing friend who fixed said glasses and asked his question once again.
"I asked, what are you watching, but by the looks of it, it's one of those vtuber that is currently booming huh. I didn't think that you of all people would be watching one of them though." Motohama commented.
"Did someone say vtubers?" Rearing his head from his headphones, his other other friend, Matsuda, became interested in the topic of discussion as he glanced at the phone in his hands. "Oh~ you're watching one Issei? Which one? Which one's your oshi? I personally like Choco-sensei since she has some big badonkers."
"Oh! You watch Choco-sensei's stream Matsuda! As expected, you really are a man of culture!" He said as he wrapped his arm over the shaved boy's shoulders, who did the same to him and the two of them started laughing.
"Oh, we're talking about our oshi now? Well I'll let you know that I am a proud Lu-knight myself." The glasses boy said with a smirk as he fixed the position of his glasses once more. "And I can even give you a reason as to why-"
"Ah, you don't have to give a reason you lolicon." He cut him with a neutral tone and looked at his face as he stared at his glasses wearing friend.
"Yeah, yeah. You're a lolicon, so it makes sense that you'll worship the 0 year old princess, it makes sense after all." Matsuda backed him up as he too said his piece with a neutral look on his face.
Motohama, like the respectful young adult that he is, took the critique of his two best friends like what a true bro would. By looking extremely insulted and putting both his hands where his heart is.
"What the hell! I thought that we were friends!" He cried as he glared at the both of them through his glasses. The two of them merely laughed, only soon to be followed by the glasses-wearing boy himself, creating an incredibly warm atmosphere around the three of them.
Only to have that atmosphere shattered by the call of a brown haired member of the kendo club who confronted them with a scowl by looking towards them from her seat that was in front of them. "Can the three of you quiet down?! Some people are trying to sleep here!" She said as she pointed towards the other students on the bus with them who were trying to sleep, or were already asleep and was almost woken up by their loud laughter.
Being actually embarrassed at bothering what was basically one of humanity's best activities, other than looking at porn that is, he lowered his head and gave an apology to Murayama. "Sorry..." He said in a low voice to not wake the other students up.
He kind of forgot that their class was on a bus, and that it was night, he was one of those types of people that would stay up all night when there's something that's interesting after all, and Yoake's streams were one of the things that he finds entertaining.
He glanced at the other students of the class who were asleep on their seats, thankfully, unbothered by the loud noises that they had been making.
They were on a one night full day journey to Mount Fuji, a tradition that had been set by the founder of Kuoh Academy a long time ago. At first it was supposed to be a long journey that would span for a whole week, but with the advancement of technology, and ever since the school had been turned co-ed, they had changed the tradition to only do a quick two nights and one day journey on a bus.
Two nights of traveling back and forth, and a single day to enjoy and sightsee around one of Japan's famous spots.
They could have just taken a bullet train and lessened the time even more, but apparently part of the experience of the tradition was the full day of traveling, and so here they all sat in a bus.
His but was cramped. He can't wait for their next stop so that he can stretch his legs.
The two others sitting beside him also apologized to the brown haired girl in a low voice, and the brown haired girl scowled before turning back and muttering just loud enough for them to hear. "Out of all the places to sit, why did I get a seat that was right in front of those perverts..."
The three ignored her blatant insult, it was a basic occurrence for them to be called perverts by almost everyone at the school anyway, and went back to their discussion, but this time in a more quitere hush.
"So." Matsuda siad, making him look at the shaven haired boy. "Who're you watching Issei? And let me see too, my phone's battery is almost dead and I'm bored."
"Well, it is too bad that the school banned us from bringing any good porn." His glasses wearing friend commented in a whisper. "If we were allowed to then we wouldn't be this bored anyway. So, which vtuber were you watching anyway Issei? Let me see, let me see."
"Ugh, you guys are so annoying sometimes." He was exasperated at his friends reaction, but let them see the screen of his phone, which like Matsuda's, was also on low batteries. But he had brought a power bank since this was a one night trip, so he should be fine.
He showed the screen showing the red horned white haired girl who, in the few minutes that he had taken his eyes off the screen, had finished drawing a good image of a yellow haired oni-girl eating a banana.
"Hmm… What should we add to make Iba-chan look more banana-like? Not that she hadn't already looked like a banana in the first place." The horned girl mused as she read more of the comments of the people that were watching the stream.
"Add Shuten? Add Shuten that's laughing at her? Ah, that does fit! That would absolutely fit the image!" The white haired girl declared while giggling and starting to draw once more to fill the empty space of the digital canvas.
"Huh? Ain't that Yoake? THE Yoake?!" Matsuda exclaimed. Making him and Motohama shush him for being too loud. The shaven teenager then looked around, seeing if anyone were woken up by his exclamation and returned his focus to him.
"No seriously Issei, you watching Yoake's stream?" His shaven friend asked in a quieter tone this time. "I didn't think that you would be into her stream. And ain't she like- old or something? She's the OG vtuber right? Since the start of U-Tube? A v-tuber even before Ai-chan?"
Motohama nodded along, fixing his glasses while he was at it too. "Yeah, I didn't peg you as one of those kinds of people, Issei." He gave his comment.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm just here for the content man." He grumbled as he stared at the screen again, showing that the white haired oni-styled 2D figure had finished drawing the sketch of a second character on her drawing, and she was now making the line art of the two characters.
"I mean, if not her drawings then the songs that she sang are pretty good too you know? She sang one of the openings for Dragso Ball you know?" He said earning the interest of his glasses wearing friend.
"Oh, you mean the thirteenth opening? Yeah, the song was good, not to mention that it was quite the hit season too." He nodded along, having a smirk growing on his friend. "I personally like the full version of the song though. How about you Matsuda?"
His shaven friend scoffed at the question. "You guys know my stance on anime openings. I'm TV-size all the way, man."
"Fair, fair." He nodded. "But back to her drawing though, she's the real deal. Didn't she write that one visual novel or something? What was its name again..." He said as he tried to remember the name of the game in question.
"Hundred Oni Parade right?" His ever knowledgeable friend, Motohama came to his rescue as he answered his question with a smirk.
"Oh! She was the maker for that one? It was a good game, the story line and the girls were just great." Matsuda nodded as he gave his piece to contribute to the conversation.
"Well, there were also other vtubers who helped her make it, since it was a joint vtuber project. But she was the one who did the illustration for the characters." He informed as his galge knowledge came in to help after being told of what the game's name was.
"Wasn't that the galge that lets you choose your gender?" Motohama asked, and Matsuda nodded.
"Yeah, the CGs did change based on your gender, but it doesn't change that there are only heroines though. So-"
Before the shaven haired boy could continue with whatever it was that he was saying, the entire bus shook. The shaking was so bad that it woke everyone who was asleep up, and they all began to scream at the situation.
"A-an earthquake?!" The pink haired Katase cried out as she tried to keep her balance by holding the head of the seat along with Murayama who was doing her best to try and keep the others calm.
"Everyone! Stay calm! We can-"
Before she could finish however. A blinding light shone, going through even the curtain of the bus and they all had to shield their eyes from the brightness.
As the white light that engulfed the bus vanishes from the premises of the street. A white figure could be seen clicking their tongue as they dragged a gigantic twin bladed black speae that had a robed figure on one of its unfortunate sharp ends.
"So I was too late..." The white figure muttered as they peeled off the robed man from their gigantic spear and lifted them up by their collar with a single hand.
Compared to the white armored figure, the robed man whose height would be considered normal for an adult looked tiny in comparison, as the armored figure's size was around twice that of the man.
"Where did you send them?" The figure asked in a polite tone to the man who had a large gash that was lethal and was letting out blood from his mouth. "If you answer fast enough, this one might be able to grant you medical help." They offered.
Instead of answering, the robed man spat blood towards the white karuta wearing figure, who merely tilted their head to avoid having a speck of blood dirty the pristine white armor.
The white armored figure sighed. "It is quite a shame then." They said as they let go of the robed man, letting him fall hard onto the concrete road below. The figure coughed up blood once again as his wounds catched up to him, but before they could even cast a spell of any kind to perform an escape, pale blue fire erupted from where the armored figure had held him.
"GYAAAAA-" The man let out a scream as he was immolated into mere ashes in a matter of seconds, and the white armored figure let out a sigh once more as they shook their helmet covered head with a hand on his head.
"Even now I still don't understand how people would throw away their life for goals like those, but then again, this one's lord is also quite a strange one." The Japanese armored figure said as they turned their attention to where the bus had once been.
He could sense that there were others that were coming to where the figure currently was. The possibility of them being supernaturally aware beings originating from the same caravan of the vehicle that had disappeared was quite large, and so the figure stood there, with their lace jammed onto the concrete road below.
The figure knew where the bus had disappeared after all. And the armored figure was sure that their lord would personally take care of the situation.
She was aware that she had been reincarnated.
Who wouldn't really if they were in her situation? No one wakes up from being shot right in the head after all.
Unless somehow someone managed to create a device that can petrify her and turn her completely into stone right at the moment of the bullet's impact, and then reviving her with miracle fluid that was made using nitric acid and alcohol.
Nope, she had small baby hands. So that meant that she really did die during that hostage situation.
Man she was going to be known as the girl that died in a hostage situation in Chuck E Cheese isn't she? As if working nine to five wasn't already a punishment enough, now her whole reputation in her last life is going to be a big sad!
She heard the giant people, adults she reminded herself, were talking to one another in what she seemed to comprehend as Japanese. It might be just her baby eyes seeing everything being blurry and all, but there seems to be two horns protruding from their forehead.
Did she get reincarnated in a fantasy world perhaps? That's gonna suck since that means that there's not gonna be any internet and there's going to be blatant sexism. As if she hadn't had enough of that in her past life.
She didn't quite get what the two adults were speaking about since her mind was still preoccupied with the fact that she died in Chuck E Cheese because a guy thought that an animatronic would sell well in these trying times, and one of the adults took her and raised her up.
He said something that she doesn't understand, and that doesn't mean much anyway. Most of her Japanese knowledge comes from watching anime anyway and she never took courses on the language. But as soon as he let her down, she saw a blue screen appear in her view.
Name: Yoake
Small Oni
LV 1
HP:10/10
MP:0/0
STR: 5
VIT: 5
DEX: 5
INT: 0
WIS: 5
LUK: 5
Points: 100
Skills:
-HP Auto-Recovery LV1 - Sturdy LV1
So not only has she been reincarnated, but she apparently also has a Gamer System. Though thankfully she doesn't have the usual self insert fanfiction's snarky annoying System that is a constant pain in the ass.
Which might also be a bad thing since that meant that she would basically be running in this life blind and without foreknowledge of whatever the world she had been reincarnated into.
And what do you mean her INT is 0?! She know that Oni as a race is one that isn't really proficient in magic and such, but did you have to make it look like she was a complete moron?!
She'll have to take a complaint to whatever it was that sent her into this world. She had a degree in engineering! Not that she ever uses it for anything other than PC building. But she'll have you know that she worked at the BBC!
Ah, her already blurry vision was starting to get even blurrier. Did she get tired due to raging on the fact that her INT was 0? Or was it due to the stress of being so suddenly reincarnated without even meeting a God or getting some OP cheats? Well she did have 100 points to spend so she guesses that that'll come in handy.
Ah, wherever it was, she'll figure it out after a nap. Babies need their sleep after all.
Apparently she was a princess, or something.
It took a while for her to understand the language that she mostly knew through anime, though she did get a few words that were somewhat old-timey Japanese since she watched a few anime with an Edo period setting in her past life.
One of the words that she understood was princess, a moniker that the adults around her would call her whenever they gave her food and took care of her dump.
It was something that was undoubtedly incredibly shameful for her, after all, as a person who was basically an adult wetting your diaper and having it changed. She basically can't look at her caretaker eye to eye, it's hard to work with someone who had once changed your diaper after all.
But she did her best to ignore it! She truly did! That was how she even got the skill Concentration in the first place! And it's at LV2 too, so that's saying something.
And did you know that she could buy skills with Points? That's what she did to get Appraisal. She had to pay a whopping 100 points! Basically everything that she had! And the skill wasn't that great at LV1 too!
Maybe she really does have 0 INT.
Speaking of the skill, it was bad at its current state. And she wasn't even kidding, it was extremely bad, it was so, so bad. It wasn't even able to read an item's name, let alone its stats! It read her clothes as Clothes! And it read one of her caretakers as only Oni!
And when she did do so, it seemed that the oni caretaker seemed to notice that some sort of magic was used on her, and tried to frantically look for the source of whatever spell it was that was casted upon her.
And so, she promised herself not to use said skill at others for the time being, she'll stick to appraising items until a certain point where her Appraisal can actually become useful.
But even still, while she was basically grinding levels for skills like Concentration or Appraisal, she still wondered what she was actually going to do in the far future.
For the few years to come, until she becomes a teenager or something, she'll probably be grinding levels and such, becoming stronger and what not because she doubts that she's going to have a safe and quiet life as an oni princess.
Not like she actually knows how to fight. Sure she has a Gamer System and can eventually gain skills and all that, but she wasn't one prone to violence, she was a damn nerd for goodness sake! She was usually the target for violence not the one that dishes it out!
She was all about that peace, love and plants. Unless when it comes to cattle, cattle is free game. She does like meat after all.
And while she would love to know more about her parents and extended family, she would rather try and find society if possible and see if she can get her hands on the internet or any kind of technology or electrical devices.
Like seriously, the onis doesn't even have lightbulbs, they use torches! Torches! What are we cavemen?! God she hopes that she wasn't in times like Edo because then she wouldn't have sweet, sweet fanfiction to kill her time with!
She heard that onis can live for quite a long time, but she doesn't know if she can personally live for a century without being extremely bored.
Maybe she can find a hobby if she survives that long? Make a log book on what could possibly happen? But she would need to know what year it was first and what world she was reborn in too.
She knew that it was a fantasy one, being a baby oni with a pair of horns kind of gave that away. But she doesn't know where exactly she was reborn into. Was it a genuine original fantasy world? A generic isekai world where onis are counted as a beastman or a demon? One of the many anime with fantasy settings? A manga? A light novel?
The possibilities were infinite, and she doesn't have enough brain cells to deduce wherever she ended up in.
But that line of thought did make her think of something though, if she gets skills like Parallel Processing and Body Clone, then couldn't she be doing something actually interesting and training at the same time? Or maybe doubling her training efficiency so that she can make more time to do fun stuff later?
Alright! She finally has something like an actual goal! She'll plan out how to do Body Clone and Parallel Processing and try hard to get it!
But first she needs to sleep. Her small body needed sleep after all.
Time was strange when you're a baby, you spent most of it sleeping after all.
Whenever she's awake, she spends her time spamming her Appraisal on whatever new item that she could get her hands on after she could crawl, even tried biting a wooden toy just because she was extremely bored, only for said wooden toy to break under the pressure of her teeth.
It was then that she noticed that she actually had fully grown fangs instead of growing baby teeths, she was like what, a month or two old? And she already has fully grown fangs.
Oni biology truly was a marvel, it was because of that that she got the skills Sturdy and HP Auto-Recovery from the start after all. It would be better if the level of the skills were higher though, but as far as she knew the way to raise those passive skills levels was by having them constantly up.
Which meant that she had to get hurt to raise the level of both skills, which was something that she dislikes in general. Or maybe there were other ways that didn't involve violence? She really hopes that there are other ways to raise those skill's levels without inflicting self harm onto herself.
Something that did scare her extremely though, was the fact that she gained the skill Poison Resistance after a month of eating the food that her caretaker has been giving her. It was something that made her extremely scared when the thought of some of the onis were trying to kill her through poison entered her mind.
But it wasn't like she could do anything to stop it. She was a two month old oni baby that could only crawl and make noises like 'guu' or 'gaa'. Though thankfully she's been starting to actually understand Japanese!
That might be because she gained the skill Language that helped her understand a bit more of the language. She still isn't able to completely know what her caretakers were saying sadly, but then again the skill was still in Level 1.
And she also got Thought Acceleration! The whole two months she was awake she had always been thinking and thinking so it was nice that she now has more time to ponder on the meaning of life as a small baby.
Yey.
Not to mention that now that she has the skill Thought Acceleration she can now be dumb faster!
More yey.
Hopefully she doesn't die from eating the poisonous food anytime soon, she doesn't want to die before she could watch more anime after all.
She can totally walk now! She can now cause untold chaos to the Japanese style house that she lived in!
Yeet.
It has been like around, another month or so since her last update, and she herself was shocked at the quick growth that she had gone through. But then again she was a supernatural species, so maybe that changes things.
She can't really compare though, since she hadn't met anyone other than her caretakers, not even her parents!
How was she so sure that she had never met her parents yet? For one the two persons that she would always meet would always call her 'princess' and they would sometimes talk about something about her father who was their lord.
She doesn't really know what the oni hierarchy was like though, is lord the highest or is there something higher? Welp, not like she can actually know more about it though, the people here are really doing their best to not let her interact with anyone.
How did she know that they were limiting her interaction with other people? Well… it's because the caretakers are certainly quite persistent on not letting anyone near her or in her vicinity in general.
So she's basically in isolation now, at least isolated from human, or rather oni interaction that aren't determined by her caretakers and by extension her father.
She wondered why they were trying to limit her interaction, even if she's a princess she doesn't think that she should be restricted from interactions this much, much less in a society of oni which is well known for being violent.
It was incredibly weird if she was being honest, and annoying too. If she can at least have a bunch of people in her vicinity then she could at least have targets for Appraisal. And by that she could also see what a normal average oni is like when compared to her caretakers.
In the last month her Appraisal has gone up by a level! A single level! After spamming it every waking moment to the point of getting headaches for a full month!
This game was incredibly rigged, where's a patch when you need one! Call the GM! Where's a rebalance when you need one!
Speaking of her caretakers, they're like, around thirty times stronger than her.
And she wasn't kidding about that, they had like, 150 points in STR. and their DEX was 165, which meant that they were quite fast and agile. Not to mention their 200 VIT! Their HP bar was incredibly long!
But their WIS and INT was 15, which was absolutely hilarious. Turns out, oni are incredibly stupid. It was hilarious really.
But then again, her INT was 0, so she wasn't really in a position to say anything about that.
Right now however, as soon as she gets the hang of totally walking like a normal human person, she'll attempt to actually sneak out of this place and use Appraisal on normal oni.
Well, that was not what she expected.
Hey there, Yoake here. Been a year since her last log and she was finally able to actually get out of the sights of her caretakers. How you ask? Well, after quite a lot of tries, she gained the skill Stealth and leveled it up to level 3! A level that was enough for her to sneak past her caretakers!
Apparently Stealth was far easier to level up than her Appraisal. She doesn't know why it was easier to level up, or how she managed to even manage to get it to LV3 in just a single month.
That was way easier than getting Appraisal to LV3, she only managed to get that skill to LV3 just recently! And she's been spamming that damned skill ever since she was born and bought it with all her points!
Speaking of points, she was incredibly weak, her INT was still fricking 0, and every other stats was still 5.
She's been here for around three months and her stats were still the basic stats. She doesn't really know how she could actually gain more points to raise her stats though, and she couldn't even try and raise her stats in the old school way which was through training, but instead of gaining actual stats she instead raised the level of Sturdy and Concentration instead.
Concentration was at LV5 now! She was incredibly concentrated and dedicated!
Maybe it was because Concentration was so high that she actually managed to get Stealth's level so high. She doesn't really understand what Concentration does if she was being honest, since Appraisal doesn't really completely explain what it does other than 'making her more successful in performing actions'.
She initially thought that it only meant that her chances of sneaking using Stealth are raised, but she would be extremely happy if the skill also somehow increased EXP acquisition.
Using the skill constantly tires her out faster, but if it does increase EXP acquisition, then she'll keep using it anytime she can. After all, she did know that stats doesn't mean everything, because a person with a flat 100 on all stats without the proper skill will lose against someone with a max skill on fighting even if they do have crap stats.
Which makes her wonder what the max cap for skills are. Her attendants and caretakers have Swordsmanship LV7, and since she doesn't know if LV10 was the cap for skills she doesn't actually know if that was high or not.
Which was why she was out there! Outside of the relatively small castle that was her house and she was now in the well paved streets of the village that was filled to the brim with oni. And sad as she was, she had not even seen a trace of technology.
B-but maybe the place that she lived in was just incredibly isolated! The village surrounding her small castle that she called home was in between mountains and a large forest after all! She doesn't know exactly where she was in the map of Japan, and she really hopes that it was Japan since everyone speaks Japanese, she really hopes that it wasn't one of those isekai worlds that speak Japanese.
And so, the small six months old Yoake wearing a small baby sized yukata, who barely reached the knees of her caretakers who was the size of a normal adult, was now sneaking around a village full of onis.
She giggled as she heard the shouts of her caretakers that were looking for her, and she merely hid behind the corner of a wooden house. But then again, all the houses here were made out of wood, which was an incredible fire hazard now that she thinks about it.
Aren't oni a species that can breathe fire or at least perform something magical with fire? Deosn;t that make the village and the castle a really big fire hazard? But then again she was also living in the middle of a forest, so the whole place is a fire hazard.
Well, not like that will stop her from trying to learn fire magic though. Oni using fire magic is romance after all. And she'll be damned if she doesn't learn it.
She doesn't even care if her INT and MP is 0! She'll learn magic!
And with that determination set, she set out to scout and check out the stats and skills of the villager oni that lives in the village around her small castle, and hopefully raise the level of Appraisal while doing so.
Hello log, long time no see, Yoake here.
She was scolded and was in time out in her own room. She still received food thankfully, but if she was being honest this was real hell if anything.
The reason? She was bored.
She had just been able to go out and see the world outside of her room and she was now grounded inside her room for an indefinite amount of time. Which meant that she was bored, and a bored Yoake meant that she kept doing things that might not make sense.
Like trying to recite every number in pi and starting to make discussions between herself and herself.
The latter wasn't really that rare if she was being honest, and she even got a skill named Parallel Will that gives her an easier time to discuss whether or not certain anime characters have too much privileges or if SI OC's in general have too much privileges.
And reciting pi also gave her the skill Arithmetic Processing, a skill that she wished she had when she was still in school because she despises math.
Why would she even recite pi when she despised math in the first place? As she had said before, she was bored, and a bored Yoake was an idiot that would do dumb things.
She truly was a person with 0 INT, maybe her 5 WIS was the only reason why she even has some common sense.
Also her language skill leveled up quite a bit, probably because she also kept herself busy by studying the language from the scroll that one of her caretakers gave to her.
Once again, a sign that she might not live in a timeline that will have internet, she really, really hopes that there were only scrolls because the village of oni that she lives in is too remote to the point of not having books.
Her hope of having a phone in her hand was getting smaller and smaller.
But she still clung on to that small bit of hope! She will surely see the glorious fanfiction once again! And also watch vtubers! And simping too! She'll simp for cute vtubers once again for sure!
But that was a long thing to come sadly, first she needs to get stronger, and sadly getting stats aren't possible. Over the past few months that she has been alive she had attempted to gain stat points by training as said in her previous log, and she had not managed to do so, so instead she'll focus on increasing her skills instead.
Sadly she doesn't really know how to actually fight or even an inkling of magic, she was a freaking nerd that studied art for goodness sake. And she does know a few things about magic, if anything knowledge from manga, comics, and light novels and what not.
And she doesn't know if the world's rules are the same or if the system that she has would actually give her an out for studying magic by allowing different systems of magic and forcing it to work. She wants to learn magic soo much, if anything, to just waste time and not be bored being stuck in her room.
She had, of course, tried to escape, but apparently they had buffed up the security and she couldn't even go out ten feet away from her room before being ushered in by a karuta weaning guard. She had managed to read the man's stats with Appraisal, but she still can't see other people's skill with that though.
Appraisal LV4 was better than LV3, but not too great sadly.
Well, Appraisal LV3 was still nice though, she was able to use it to see the stats of the regular villager oni, whose stats was indeed high. Well, higher than her trash stats at least. Even the children around the village have stats that are three times her own!
Their INT was only 1 though, so was their WIS, which was hilarious.
But thankfully, with Appraisal LV4 she was now capable of reading deeply into things!
Like the scroll that she was reading, thanks to Appraisal, she knows that the scroll was actually magical! It was a huge discovery the moment that her Appraisal hit LV4 that she can tell if something is enchanted or not.
Well, she says that she can tell if something is enchanted or not, but the most that she could tell is if an item is enchanted or not. What kind of enchantment or what said enchantment comes from or what type of magic it is, she doesn't know.
Appraisal LV4 was better than LV3, but it still sucked.
Welp, since she had nothing else to do, she'll start physical conditioning to raise the level of Study and Concentration while using Parallel Thought and Arithmetic Processing by reciting pi again.
She did see that there was a skill called Herculean Strength, so hopefully by constantly training like this she can get the skill! Even a worse version of the skill that raises her STR by a little bit is good enough for her!
Fear the small girl that is known as Yoake, for she had acquired the skill known as Monstrous Strength! And also level up a bunch of her other skills while she was at it!
Hello again self log, this is Yoake if you are wondering.
And her constant training had finally paid off! Never underestimate the will of an otaku who has nothing but time and no access to the internet or any kind of entertainment in general. She had finally gotten fit! Or at least somewhat fit, her stats still sucks ass.
She was kind of sad that there was not any quest or something similar so that she could gain EXP to level up, then she could at least get points so that her stats wasn't actual crap! Though thanks to some of her skills, her stats were getting better apparently, like with Sturdy and her newly acquired Monstrous Strength.
She doesn't know what the difference was between Monstrous Strength that she has and the Herculean Strength that she wanted to get in the first place. And sadly her Appraisal, which hadn't leveled up in her training montage, still can't tell what the difference was.
But still, a strength upgrade is a strength upgrade! She now has a skill that increases her strength, no matter how small her strength is, is useful enough for her!
She still has not made any progress in anything regarding the magical arts sadly, but then again considering that most oni that she has seen has MP that is in single digits, and the rare strong few having two digits, her prospect on said skill is probably low.
But she won't falter! She'll keep on trying to figure out how to do magic!
Because of romance!
There's some manga and light novels and also animes that explained that magic would need an incredible amount of brain power to process. So maybe her actually having Parallel Will and Arithmetic Processing would actually be useful!
Said skills had also leveled up by two levels, something that she's kind of grateful for really. With the now LV3 Parallel Will, she can now increase the level of Arithmetic Processing three times faster since she can recite pi three times in the same time!
Also she can have a full on group discussion! Having what is basically three wills is incredibly useful!
Well, they all still share the same single brain cell that she has, so they were all as dumb as the other. But still, having a bunch of wills was incredibly useful, even if the wills were the same idiots which was herself. Monkeys together are strong after all.
She has been stuck in her room for a month now, and she is now getting bored again. Training her body and reciting pi or taking any kind of discussion with herself can take quite a good chunk of time, but she can only stay in a single room for so long.
She wouldn't mind being a neet, but being a neet without any source of entertainment was something that she can't stand for.
And so, once again, the white haired girl attempted to raise the skill that was Stealth once again. It's going to take her quite a time to get Stealth to a higher level, though hopefully she can get lucky and manage to sneak outside.
Alright! Let's go sneak around the castle!
Praise her, for she had managed to sneak out of the castle once more!
She was sure that the guards and her caretakers are scrambling to find her again, so she'll have to be quick and attempt to try her newfound Monstrous Strength on something!
She hasn't really used said skill. After all, why would she destroy items like her scrolls or her eating utensil? Not like she couldn't really break said eating utensils since they were all made out of wood of all things.
Yet again a sign that she was not in an advanced civilization.
But hopefully, within her current outing, she can find something to test her strength on. Not anything dangerous like a monster or something, she's not coming close to anything like that without a ten foot pole or a gun.
No, she's looking for something small like a stone or anything similar. She wants to see if her 5 points of STR boosted with Monstrous Strength LV1 can pulverize a stone on her hand. And probably find other targets for Appraisal spamming while she was at it.
She wants to actually see other people's skill damnit! And also compare it to herself so that she could actually know whether or not the skills that she has are actually good or bad!
Like her Hp Auto-Recovery and Sturdy, both of which are skills that she has had since birth, so she wonders if the current level that she has for the skill was actually quite good or not if compared to others.
Her Sturdy of course, she hadn't ever taken damage ever since she was born, which was something that she was incredibly thankful for, so she never had the use of the skill. And she wasn't keen on hurting herself thank you.
And so her search for a rock started, and was promptly ended because she found a good sized rock that fits the palm of her small barely a year child's hand.
Now that she thinks about it, oni biology was indeed amazing, she hasn't even reached a year yet she was able to talk and walk like a five year old or older kid. That makes her wonder how old was the kid that has a flat 20 on all stats, it would be quite scary if the kid was like a year old or something.
With the stone in her hand, the white haired girl focused on the mental trigger that would activate her Monstrous Strength and gripped the stone hard. And by that she meant, really hard.
The small stone in her hand had completely disintegrated.
Which was an outcome that she had thought of happening, but she was still sufficiently surprised by the mere speckle of dust that was now in her hand. She thought that with her 5 STR and Monstrous Strength she would only crack it or something, turning it into dust was just something that she had imagined would happen, a low chance possibility if anything.
That made her giddy, and she couldn't help but smile like a fool as she searched for bigger rocks and stones to test her newfound strength, all while evading the pursuit of her guards and caretakers.
So she found a slightly bigger stone, and crushed it.
And another.
And another.
She kept searching for bigger ones after bigger ones, and before she knew it she was in the forest standing at a huge piece of rock that was thrice her size. Only after seeing the rocks sheer size did her mind actually caught up to what she did, high on her newly found entertainment of crushing rocks with her mere grip strength that she had wandered into the forest unattended.
Crap she was so, so getting scolded.
Eh, well, might as well as she was here to try out her strength at the big rock in front of her. That was what she had thought at the time, so she immediately took on a stance and readied her fist to strike.
Said stance was to simply just clench her fist the correct way, you know the one where her thumb would be squished in between her fingers and palm, and strengthened her core and feet. Then as she was about to strike, she put all her weight on her fist.
It was a basic strike really, one with an incredibly basic stance and an incredibly basic form. And of course, since her target was an unmoving object, said incredibly basic strike managed to land on the incredibly big rock.
Let it be known that her fist hitting the rock made a loud shattering sound, a sound that was loud enough to probably be heard from the village that she had originated from, or at least the outskirts of the village. Said loud shattering sound also resulted in a large spider web shaped crack that now adorned the now two piece shattered gigantic rock.
And equally as loud as the sound of the shattering was the sound of her scream as she held her hand that was bleeding and had bent fingers. It was the first time that she had been in pain in this life, and it was something that incredibly hurt.
-1HP
How come breaking her hand means she lost a full 10% of her health! Well… she guesses that hurting a part of her body will still do damage so that makes sense, but her extremely small pool of HP can't even take a single hit then!
Proficiency has reached the required level. Skill [Sturdy LV4] has become [Sturdy LV5]
She muffled her scream by biting her lip, and unknowingly letting out more blood by doing so because she forgot that her fangs were sharp enough to rip a good chunk of steak. So she stood there in the forest clearing with her broken right hand as she held back tears as she closed her eyes.
And it didn't even take long, barely a minute before her hand had healed.
She blinked her eyes and saw her fixed right hand. She flexed her muscles and moved her fingers one by one to test them, and saw that each and every one of them were working perfectly as it was before.
She was shocked, shocked she tells you! That it only takes her a single minute to heal what would have been a month or two long healing process. And this was a skill that was LV1?! What kind of injuries can the skill heal at LV10?!
Or maybe that was because her HP was a mere 10, and the speed to heal a mere 1 point of HP was incredibly easy to do even for a LV1 skill.
Back to reality however, with the loud sound of shattering that the stone made and the even louder scream that she let out, her guards and caretakers are sure to catch her now. Welp, she can't really do anything to that really, so she'll try and attempt something even stupider than punching a rock this time.
Flexing her now healed fist, she let out a breath as she took on a stance to punch once more. This time however, her target was not the now shattered rock, but instead her target was the ground below her.
Like, isn't it incredibly anime to punch the ground and make it break? If her Monstrous Strength is able to shatter a stone likely four times her size, then she can make that cool ass anime crater thing right?
With that said, she performed the same move that she had done onto the rock, and punched the ground below her.
Once more, a loud sound was made as her fist impacted the ground, and she made a spider web-like crack on the ground where she stands.

This time she ignored her pain as she marveled at the destruction that her small fist had managed to perform. Her grin turned to a smile as she fell to the ground below and began laughing like the mad little girl that she was.
Maybe being high on adrenaline wasn't that bad. Probably won't be good for her health, but being able to do things like this sure is cool.
She heard the sound of shouts of the guards closing in, and along with them the sound of her caretakers. She doesn't run away or move from her spot though, she merely lay there on the shattered ground, dirtying her yukata.
She really hopes that she doesn't become a battle junkie that would answer most problems with violence.
That'll be really bad for future Yoake if she does be someone like that.
