Chapter 2

Awakening!

When he opened his eyes, it was to hear someone loudly shouting at him while repeatedly shaking him. He tried to stand up, only to be hit with an incredible headache as he once again fell back onto the floor.

No, that wasn't right, he didn't fall to the floor, he fell onto the window that he had been sleeping on.

It was hot, why was it hot? It wasn't supposed to be hot, it was supposed to be cold tonight wasn't it? And aren't they supposed to be in a bus with air conditioning? It shouldn't be as hot as a sauna here.

It was then that his eyes adjusted to the light around them, and the thing that he saw was a girl shaking him awake while fire was starting to spread around them.

He remembered that they were on a bus, on a yearly trip to Mount Fuji. He remembered the blinding light that he saw before falling unconscious.

It took him a bit to realize that the bus that they were all in had somehow been flipped onto its side. He could tell that since the chair that he had been sitting at was now latched horizontally on his left hand side.

"-dou! Hyoudou!" He heard the one who shook him awake shouted his name repeatedly to wake him up. "Are you awake now?! Get your butt moving out of here!" The one who shouted at him was none other than Aika Kiryu, the glasses-wearing perverted girl of his class, though if he had taken the time to look at her carefully, he would have seen her cracked glasses and disheveled hair.

He groaned as he stood up, feeling the pain in his body from being thrown into his side when the bus flipped to its side.

He turned towards his friends, who were also unconscious from whatever accident that they went through, and shook them awake to try and wake them up as he shouted at them. "Matsuda! Motohama! Wake up you idiots! We need to get out of here!"

His two friends groaned as they slowly woke up, Matsuda looking at him in confusion. "I...ssei? Wh-what happened?" His bald friend asked him deliriously.

"No time to explain! Let's get out of here!" He screamed as he pulled the both of them up and followed Aika who was motioning them to follow her as she climbed out of the broken windshield.

He dragged his still delirious friends out of the broken bus, wincing as the broken shards of glass nicked him and drawing blood. He let out a breath of relief as he managed to pull himself and his friends out of the bus, falling onto his butt as he put his hands on his hurting sides.

He glanced to see what was around him, around him he could see the other students of his class groaning while nursing their own wounds around the bus that was on fire, some turning into crying messes after realizing what had happened to them. He saw Katase and Murayama tending to the wounded driver and their injured teacher.

It was only then that he thought about what the hell actually happened?! Did they somehow get into an accident? If so, then what happened? Is anyone hurt? What exactly was that blinding light that surrounded them? Where were they?

They were surrounded by a lush forest, a forest that he knew was nowhere near where they had been when they were still in the bus. There were no roads near them, and he even checked his phone to see if he had a connection, only to be disappointed when he got nothing.

It was then that one of his friends approached him, dragging his feet as he tried to do so. "Issei, where the hell are we?" Motohama, who lost his glasses, asked him. He saw him cradling his left arm, the arm where he could see blood was trailing from his sleeve.

"I-" He worriedly glanced at his friend as he glanced over at the others, and looked back at his friend with a grimace "I don't know." He said truthfully, as confused at the situation as his friends were.

Silence befell onto the three of them, still confused and delirious from what had just happened to them that they couldn't exactly put into words. He tried not to panic, he's seen enough isekais to know that panicking when you're somehow thrown into somewhere randomly doesn't help in any way.

But he panicked anyway, because he was just a normal highschooler who was somehow in a forest with injuries and no way to ask for help.

He tried to calm himself, try to think away from what felt like a hopeless situation by thinking about something else. He thought of the fact that he'll miss Yoake's stream, how he would probably miss the first few hours of the event of the gacha game that he was playing.

He thought of how he was probably going to miss the breakfast that was promised to them on the bed and breakfast that they were supposed to go to tomorrow, how he was probably going to break his login streak.

How he was going to not be able to read his porn mags that were probably burning as they speak. His porn mags! His thought made him turn to the now burning bus where his collection of lewd magazines lay, forever lost to him.

He glanced at his friends who were also looking at the burning vehicle with somber looks, probably reaching the same conclusions that he had.

He shakilly stood up, ignoring the agony that his body was in, and saluted to the burning hunk of metal where their pieces of holy literature had been lost to. His friends quickly copied his gestures, Motohama saluting with his one good arm, while Matsuda helped support him.

"What exactly are you perverts doing?" The question made him turn around to see who dares interrupt the funeral of their precious pieces of literature, only to see the brown haired girl whose usual braids were in disarray looking at the three of them as if they were idiots.

Which wasn't exactly wrong if he was being honest, but they weren't complete idiots! They were below average if anything! Which still puts them above idiots!

"Aika." He said her name. "I- we just-" Fumbling on his words to find an excuse to what idiotic gesture that they had pulled out, he looked back to the broken piece of machinery that was on fire before them.

"Thank you." He said earnestly. "If you had been just a bit slower then we would-"

"Don't go there Hyoudou." The girl growled as she scowled and looked at the burning vehicle with him. "Just be glad that you're alive. Whatever happens, we'll make it through, I'll make sure of it." The brown haired girl said the last part with such conviction that it made him stumble a bit.

"Y-yeah..." He trailed off as he glanced away from the glasses wearing girl's eyes that hold determination that he'd never seen before and towards the group around them that was starting to start a small commotion.

"What do you mean you want to wait here!" One of the boy's from their class, Hito-something or other, shouted right in front of the kendoka who was standing in front of quite the number of injured students.

"I said that we should wait here until help arrives!" The chocolate haired kendoka whose hair was no longer in a ponytail shouted back to the black haired boy. "If we try to stray away from here, then we'll get lost! And that's not even mentioning if there's wild animals in this forest!" She argued.

"If we stray too far from the bus then there's more of a chance that we'll only get lost deeper in the forest! And then there's no telling when help is going to actually come then!"

"Then what about food?!" One of the boys behind Hito-something argued. "We don't have enough food and water for everyone here! We'll starve to death before help arrives!"

"Then what of the others that can't even walk correctly?!" Katase countered his argument with one of her own. "If you want to go out and search for help that's fine, but not everyone can follow you! Do you want to just leave them here!"

Her argument brought a grimace onto his face as he glanced towards Motohama who was still having trouble standing. He then glanced at the others behind Katase and Murayama who were spread on the ground, grunting and groaning as they rolled over the ground nursing their wounds that had received emergency first aid with torn pieces of cloth.

It was then that Aika sighed as she walked to the two arguing groups as she tried to mediate between them. "Look, if you want to go and search for help then be our guest. We'll stay here and nurse everyone else as best as we can." She said, looking quite tired.

"Just make sure to leave a trail or something that leads you back here so you don't get lost. Like break a branch of trees that you pass or mark them with a rock or something." The light brown haired girl reasoned as she fixed the placement of her broken glasses.

The two groups contemplated Aika's advice, thinking of whether or not they should split up. The group that wanted to seek out help as soon as possible glanced towards the other students that were on the ground who were in pain, while Katase, Murayama, and others that wanted to stay back near the burning bus saw the… well, burning bus that clearly would offer them no accommodations whatsoever.

"Fine." Murayama relented. "As much as I want everyone to stay here and keep safe, it's better if we seek help for the injured as soon as possible. So we'll split up and-"

"That shall not be necessary."

Every single student in the clearing immediately snapped their head towards the source of the voice, finding that there was a shadowed figure sitting leisurely on top of one of the branches of the trees that surrounded them.

"Wha-"

"Though it would also be interesting to see thee all squirm and fall into despair as thee spread one by one and disappear, this one sadly does not have the time to partake in their interest and must perform their mission." The figure said offhandedly as they jumped onto the clearing, revealing their previously shadowed form.

It was then that he, and possibly everyone else at the clearing, stood frozen at their places as they saw exactly who, or rather what, was facing them.

Horns protruding on their temples red as blood, fangs sharp enough to tear through meat and bone, with piercing orange eyes that made him quiver in fear stared at the lot of them as if they were ants.

No, ants wasn't the right word. The thing in front of them certainly looked down on them, but not as things like ants, but as something else.

The monster before looked down at them as he licked his lips and a savage grin made its way onto his dastardly handsome face. He wasn't staring at them like they were ants, like they were inferior beings.

He stared at them as if they were cattle ready for slaughter.

"Where are they!" A shout reverberated through the road as it glanced at the source of the voice from its standing position.

From its vision, it saw a group of devils fly into view, being led by a black haired girl with pink rimmed glasses and one with long red hair as they flew closer to its proximity. It raised both of its hands in a sign of surrender, or rather as a sign of non violence.

It hoped that the group of devils would not be as violent as the last one that it had to face, while it was proficient at it, it was not fond of violence similar to its lord after all. Especially violence that had no purpose at all.

The group of devils descended in front of it, and it stayed calm even though it faced what was seemingly two high class devils glaring intensely at it. After all, what was a group of high classed devils in the face of a personnel that was capable of going toe to toe against a whole village of onis who were considered high class?

Ah, it had gotten its power onto its head once again. Had their lord been here, she would certainly scold it for being too arrogant in the face of adversity.

"Devils, this one assumes that the caravan that had recently been teleported by the mage that I had dispatched had been connected to one of yours?" It asked in a polite tone to not incite a violent reaction from the group of devils before it.

"Who-" The red headed devil was stopped as the seemingly level headed black haired devil held out a hand before her. The shorter devil shook her head and walked in front of the red haired devil who still looked fumed at it.

"Who might you be?" The glasses wearing devil asked it as she narrowed her eyes at it.

"This one's name is Ayame. Tis the name given by this one's lord." It said its answer as it performed a light bow towards the noble devil before it. It was an act that was taught to it by its lord, to give the proper amount of courtesy towards those of a higher standing.

Adn certainly this composed devil who is of course a high classed devil, was a noble through and through. Such was clearly seen by her mannerism. Though it hopes that the girl was not one of those kinds of devil nobles.

That and the aura that surrounds her also permeates from that of some of the others beside her, a sign of a devil's peerage, something that is only attained by a high class devil who was born of nobility considering the girl's level of strength that it sees.

The red haired girl too, was a high classed devil. As prominent from her aura that also surrounds her own peerage. Though the girl herself does not seem to act like what a textbook noble would by the looks of it.

"Ayame then, were you the one that had made the bus disappear?" The young devil asked as she glared at her with more intensity. She was blatantly interrogating it, but such was also proof that the girl was a noble devil who takes cares of those under her care

Simply the fact that she even cared for a bus filled with civilians was something that made her more important in its eyes. Most noble devils with human civilians simply do not care for their wellbeing, that itself was a fact.

"Nay." It said as it shook the helmet of its armor. "This one was not the one to transport the bus that you speak of. However, this one asks forgiveness for not being able to stop the magician that had done so."

With its piece said, the karuta armored figure proceeded to bow once again, expressing the guilt that it felt for not being able to stop such a travesty from happening.

"And what of this magician that you had faced?" The devil girl asked once more, narrowing her eyes at it.

"Ah." It let out a noise as it realized the mistake that it had made, not procuring proof of the existence of the magician that it had bested in combat. "This one had discarded of their carcass once this one had bested them in combat. This one was taught that allowing a magician's carcass to persist after defeating them can usher another individual to perform unsavory acts on them."

It was one of the lessons that its lord has taught it, a lesson given from her own experience in combat against a group of magicians.

Its lord had once fought against an incredibly strong group of magicians, one whose notororiority was heard across the land. She had told of the story of how the group was able to drive her into a corner with the help of the pair of necromancers that they had on their group, capable of resurrecting their entire crew and one another.

It was a hard fought battle, one that she eventually won of course, making her name more known on the land.

"Were none of you, perchance, able to perceive the different signature of energies during our clash?" It asked in worry. For a noble devil to not be able to perceive the difference of magical signatures would be incredibly harmful, it made it worry about the safety of the two nobles before it.

"Of course we were able to know the difference in magical energy!" The red haired devil girl said with anger laced on her words. "We're asking how we can be sure that you're not the one that took them away!"

So it was like that. "This one is sadly unable to perform any teleportation magic, let alone one of such scale that allows the instantaneous transportation of a full vehicle of that size." It stated.

It was correct, after all those of its kin were only capable of combat magic, the only outlier being its lord who was capable of also performing healing magic. It was after all, the drawbacks of the onis strong physical capabilities that even surpasses that of normal devils.

"Unable to do teleportation magic?" One of the peerage members of the glasses wearing devil asked. "Isn't that one of the most basic of magic that you're supposed to learn first?" Asked a twin tailed brown haired girl.

"For you devils, yes." It said, nodding its helmet in confirmation. "But there are others who are merely incapable of performing such feats. This one was focused on the magical arts of combat, thus incapable of performing such feats."

Its statement received a nod from the high class black haired devil with glasses. "I see, so it was like that. However that still doesn't stop you from-"

"This is taking too long, Sona!" The red haired girl interrupted her. "We need to go find them now! We can take care of this Ayame person later!"

"Ah, if the two of you are worrying about the fate of the students in the bus, then you should not worry for their safety." The karuta wearing figure stated, earning a look from the devils around it.

"What do you mean?" The red haired devil asked as her intense glare was focused upon it.

"While this one is incapable of performing transportation magic, this one is quite capable in discerning traces of magic and where they lead towards." It stated, gaining an inquisitive stare from the leading black haired devil.

"And where did they end up then?" She asked. "And why do you think that they will be safe?" She inquired, narrowing her glare.

"This one can guarantee their safety because the place that they had been sent to is towards the direction where this one's lord is situated." Said the armored warrior. "The great mountain of Ooe is relatively safe for humans after all."

This is an outrage! She demands satisfaction!

Hello once again, oh dear personal log. This is Yoake speaking.

Her last thrill out of the castle causing a big mess of the forest got her locked in her room, again, and this time it was even worse.

Her father apparently gave her a tutor.

A personal tutor that would apparently teach her on how to act as a noble. And to ensure that she would stay in her room and under supervision, she now has no more personal space and privacy as the attendants now would watch over her 24/7 anlong with some added guards.

So anyway she started sneaking out more recently.

With her LV6 Stealth skill, sneaking out of the castle even when they're completely aware of her sneaking out is quite easy now, but there has been some other developments because of that.

Appraisal has reached LV5! And with that she can finally see another person's skills! It was a groundbreaking achievement for Appraisal who first started out with only being able to discern an oni as merely just 'oni'.

Now she can check another person's name and skill! It's annoying if she tries to keep it on all the time and gives her a headache if she uses the skill on a mass of people because it gives her a headache and fills her vision.

But the problem that she starts to have is the fact that the guards are slowly but surely gaining the skill Detection.

Now even with LV6 Appraisal, she still can't tell what a skill does precisely, only giving a barebones explanation like Appraisal lets the user appraise a person or item. But from what Appraisal told her, and from what she herself found out about, Detection lets the skill holder a greater awareness of the location of anything and everything in their vicinity.

Or in layman terms, they can now tell when she's sneaking out with Stealth.

But thankfully their Detection still isn't strong enough to completely detect her when she's using her Stealth, but it will probably be a big problem for her if the level of their Detection keeps going up.

So with that said, she'll have to find an even sneakier way of sneaking out of the castle! She'll also have to find a way to power level her Stealth!

That or somehow find a way to create clones so that she can safely sneak out, with her Parallel Will she can probably do two things at once after all, so she'll have to find a way to do that someday so that she can sneak out without anyone noticing.

But right now she'll have to live through the lecture about etiquette without falling asleep, and with the thinking capabilities of two idiots with a single brain cell, such a thing was a daunting task.

Praise for she has no equal, this Yoake has once again managed to sneak out of a fully guarded and readied castle once again!

Hello dear self log, this is Yoake again, and she is now in the forest once more.

It took her a while, around three days to be exact, for her to finally fix up a plan and route her escape from the castle and the increased security that it has. But of course, being the pro gamer that manages to finish Metal Gear that she was, she manages to sneak out.

Now she stood next to the broken rock that she had split in two recently. So wearing her usual black yukata, she made her way to sit on top of the broken piece of rock surrounded by broken pieces of earth, and did something that she had not thought that she would do in her entire second life.

Meditation.

What might seem like an act that is rightfully easy for some people, is incredibly hard for another, and for a scatter brain like herself, emptying her mind and just meditating is virtually impossible.

Like, why would you space out when you can think of what would happen if Goku had HIV? It was something dumb that she founjd on youtube one day and she can't get it out of her mind.

So telling her to sit still while she can literally do anything else was a sort of hell for her, so why was she doing it instead of something productive like training more so that she can hopefully increase her Monstrous Strength?

Well, she found out that there's a skill called Meditation while she was browsing for skills that she could buy and wanted to have it.

The reason why she would even want to have a skill like that is because of a new addition that she had accidentally found out while using her LV6 Appraisal, which was that it now can find requirements for acquiring skills, something that was incredibly useful.

And a skill that she wants was a skill that might prove extremely useful in the long term, and believe her this was an extremely long term skill that even if she had all her points she couldn't buy.

Costing a grand 999999 points, just a single point below one million, which was basically the highest price that she could find, was a skill called Patience.

Now, she totally isn't going to pay those amount of skill points, she could literally use it for getting other skills and raising her stats like crazy with that after all. Heck, even if she only gained like a percent of that many points she could probably trounce anyone in this place.

Now, what does Patience do, well…

She actually doesn't know much about if she was being honest.

Now hear her out first, when have you not found a thing that's like, incredibly end game and found out that you can make progress on it incredibly early and not try to make progress on it? You would of course try and make progress on it right?

So that was why when she figured out that one of the requirements for manually getting Patience other than wasting her life saving for it was by getting and maxing the skills High Meditation, Abnormal Status Nullification, Heresy Nullification, High Clairvoyance, and Conviction.

She doesn't have any of the skills. Those being High Meditation or Abnormal Status Nullification or High Clairvoyance and whatever Heresy Nullification and Conviction was, she probably would want those skills at one point if she was going to be fighting.

But skills like High Meditation and High Clairvoyance are evolutions of lesser skills, High Meditation was definitely the evolved version of… well Meditation, and High Clairvoyance was the evolved version of the skill Clairvoyance.

And in a supernatural inclined world where it seemed as if the society was feudal based and she was a princess of all things? She was definitely going to be fighting something or other down the line.

And also because she doesn't have anything else to do, if she could she would have decided to be a neet and decide to write fanfics or draw big anime boobas for the rest of her life, but the utensils that her attendants gave her when she asked she wants to write and draw was a small piece of coal and a sheet of leather.

Let her say that again, a small piece of coal and a sheet of leather.

Yup, that calls it, she lives in a feudal age without actual pieces of good technology. What she wouldn't give for an actual book of paper and a pen.

But she was quite determined to get that Patience skill, even if she doesn't actually know what it does. Big number makes her want to have it, so she'll get it one day or another.

With that being said, she sat cross legged on the shattered rock, and meditated.

And meditated.

And meditated.

And meditat- alright this wasn't working for her.

She let out a sigh as she rested her head on her palm as she thought on how exactly she was going to actually get the Meditation skill other than… meditating, because she certainly doesn't have enough patience to actually do that.

She opened the menu and scrolled down the list of skills that she could possibly acquire, though not actually buying them, what with her 0 skill points and all, she was just trying to find something. She saw that the Meditation skill cost around 50 points, half the cost of her Appraisal.

She did some light exercises like single handed handstand push-ups as her mind wandered on what could she possibly do to actually get the skill. Maybe she could try to actually level up and see if she actually gets some skill points? But since the system that she has doesn't give out quests to gain EXP, then that only means that there's only one way for her to actually level up.

Killing.

She got uneasy at the thought of having to take a life that she fell on her back, leaving her sprawled on the ground looking upwards towards the clear blue sky.

She knows that killing is something that is definitely unavoidable, especially for someone in the situation like the one that she is in, that being a princess of a small village of supernatural creatures that was inclined for violence over anything else.

And gods was this place really inclined for violence, she hasn't really told about that part has she? Welp, as far as she can say, this whole place is extremely uncivilized, even if the castle that she lives in was somewhat civilized, other than the part that they kept her stuck in her room most of the time of course.

Violence and fights was something that you can find here anywhere and everywhere, every corner that you would look you would find people fighting against someone. In fact, most of the castle disputes result in a fistfight around here, so the existence of a parliament probably won't even be needed.

Man, onis sure are a bunch of idiots aren't they? No wonder their intelligence was only in the single digits lol.

She can't really say anything about that since she technically doesn't even have a single point on the stat.

Change the topic! Change the topic! If anything, what do the guards do then? Sure they do their best to try and protect her by locking her up in her room, an act that she is incredibly unhappy with, and would protect her from whatever they think is dangerous, but what else do they do?

tMaybe they prevent fights from getting out of hand or something? She doesn't really know so she'll try and check it out later on

Violence was a big part of this world, this society that she lived in, but is she ready to actually be the one to dish out said violence?

She was a nerd, a pacifist, a peace, love, and plants kind of girl. Sure she might have changed to be a nerd that fills her time with some muscle training, but that was because she doesn't have anything else that she could do to waste time.

But thinking of the fact that she may be the one to who will be the one that will take a life away from the world was a matter that still unnerved her.

It was then that she decided to just stop thinking about this too hard, her one brain cell wasn't enough to think about this, so she decided to just waste time by finding something else to do other than trying to get Meditation or blow her brain up with complicated stuff.

She tuned out the words that was told by the teacher oni that was before her, she ignored the basic misogynistic views that she was trying to instill onto her and ignored the fact that the woman was boring her to death.

Yaeko here, she's incredibly bored now.

She finally noticed as to why she was getting a 'formal' education, apparently as a princess she was supposed to be like what generic and stereotypical princesses are supposed to be.

And by that she means that she should hang her head low, follow orders, then get married and have kids.

Like hell she'll do that! She's not into dudes thank you very much! Nerd though she may be, she is also a tomboy if that wasn't already obvious enough! She was one of the boys back during her high school days you know!

Hell would freeze over before she would get married to a guy! As a weeb and certified nerd herself, she too is a connoisseur of anime boobas.

So yeah, she totally isn't going to go through with whatever the people here are planning, and since she's not really that connected to this place and the people here, maybe she'll go out and explore whatever the world has to offer.

After getting good and stronger of course, she's still a LV 1 after all, not much she could really do against other people.

Maybe after she reaches, like, LV 10 or 25 or something, depending on how much a level up gives her skill points so that she can get her stats up and that, or maybe after she gets some better skills over all.

Oh! Speaking of better skills she got Athletics and Throw! Along with a skill that will help her endeavor of sneaking out of the castle even more, Camouflage! Although the skill was still at LV1, combined with her LV6 Stealth, it's more than enough for her to sneak out under the numerous guards, even if some of them have LV1 Detection.

It's a skill that makes her like a chameleon, at least that's what she thinks it does anyway, her LV6 Appraisal can't really be used to precisely tell what a skill does anyway. Though when she looked at her hands while the skill was activated it blended with the background a bit, so that's what she thinks it does.

Well, she now can sneak out of the castle easily thanks to that, but she still doesn't know what to do outside if she was being honest.

At first she wanted to ham and get Meditation to get Patience, an end game skill that she doesn't know what, but in the end she got scatterbrained and performed acrobatics and got the skill Athletics.

And she also kept throwing and catching small pieces of stone that she picked up as she was doing cartwheels, and she ended up getting Throw.

Man, she really was bored, doing cartwheels while juggling stones was not something that a one year old should do.

And speaking of which, if she remembers correctly, it was her birthday! Or at least, she thinks it was her birthday, she couldn't really tell if she was being honest. Hey, not her fault for being mostly asleep when she was a baby, and also not her fault for losing count of time when she's busy grinding for skills.

Though she says that she's a full year old, her current physical age looks like that of a nine year old, like a genuine normal kid. Except the horns of course, no normal humans would have horns after all.

Ah, the teacher finally noticed that she was spacing out and got angry. Aah, she's hurling a full powered adult punch. Miss teacher! That's not something that you're supposed to do to a kid you know! Where's CPS! Call the CPS!

Well, since the attack was so sudden and the perpetrator of the attack was so close to her there was no way that she could dodge in time.

-2HP

Ouch, that hurts a lot. She thinks her nose is broken, ah there's blood flowing from her nose too, man who knew that losing 2HP would deal this much damage to her? Then again she only has 10HP and she basically lost a fifth of her total HP.

Hey old lady! That's not how you're supposed to treat a kid you know! Especially a lady such as herself, and she's a princess to boot! She deserves respect and dang it!

Wait, has she even done anything princess-like? Hasn't she been mostly doing the exact opposite by giving the middle finger to authority figures by continuously sneaking out of the castle and causing trouble?

Who cares about the details! She punched her! She may be a pacifist, but she'll hit you if you do something dumb like that!

She did just that, gripping her fist and performed the same feat that she had done with the giant piece of rock that was three times her size. She punched the annoying teacher, hard, putting her whole weight into the punch.

-1HP

Proficiency has reached the required level. Skill [Monstrous Strength LV1] has become [Monstrous Strength LV2]

Oof, she forgot that she actually hurts herself if she does a full powered punch. Maybe she should have held back and not use her full power. Not as to pity the woman she punched or anything, but just because that freaking hurts.

She felt her wounds starting to heal, Hp Auto-Recovery already working to heal the damage that she received from the short bout that she had with her teacher. She turned towards the oni sized hole which she had punched through and the woman that now lay on the street below.

Individual Karaku has been defeated.

Huh? Wait, wait, wait, what do you mean defeated? She checked on the middle of the group of oni gathering on the street seeing the black haired oni that was her teacher and checked her status with Appraisal.

Yikes, she only has 1HP left. Wait, her full HP was a whopping 30! How come a full punch from her can take out a full blown adult with 30 points of HP and 15 VIT?! Is her Monstrous Strength really that scary? She doesn't see anyone else with the skill, but is it really that strong?!

Experience has reached the required level.

Her eyes blinked, ignoring the commotion down below and the loud footsteps of the guards closing in to her, and instead focused at the blue screen that was floating in front of her.

Individual Yoake, Oni has increased from LV 1 to LV 2.

Ah, she leveled up? She leveled up! She can level up without killing people and by just beating them up! Or rather she can gain EXP by just beating the crap out of people, something that she apparently can do easily for some reason.

Skill proficiency level-up bonus acquired.

The level up what now?

Proficiency has reached the required level. Skill [Sturdy LV5] has become [Monstrous Sturdy LV6].

Proficiency has reached the required level. Skill [Monstrous Strength LV2] has become [Monstrous Strength LV3].

Proficiency has reached the required level. Skill [HP Auto-Recovery LV1] has become [HP Auto-Recovery LV2].

Skill points acquired.

Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute! That's a lot to take it for her single brain cell, slow down a bit why don't you! What do you mean there's a skill proficiency level up bonus?! That's not something that she's seen or heard except for that one LN where the mc was a spider!

Crap, please don't tell her that she's been reborn in a world with Administrators running around and there's a huge conspiracy with the demon army and a constantly reincarnating priest. That'll be hell for her, she'll ask the manager for a refund!

Wait, wouldn't that mean that the manager would be an Administrator? She takes it back! She'll ask for forgiveness!

She checked her stats, trying to see if leveling up actually increases her stats or not even while the guards around her were shouting. She clicked her tongue after finding out that not only had they not increased, her HP was still 9, slowly healing thanks to HP Auto-Recovery.

Which means that a level up doesn't completely heal her status and doesn't give her an innate raise in stats, a shame, but giving an auto level up on her skills definitely makes up for it if anything.

And she has 20 skill points too! Which isn't much if she was being honest, but it was enough for her to not have 0 INT anymore! She can finally prove that she's not an idiot with only a single brain cell!

Wait, does increasing your INT stat even raise your smartness? Like, does it add a brain cell to your brain or something? She doesn't have any to begin with so how come she can still think like a normal person?

And how come a person with 0 INT like her be basically smarter than most oni in this darned village whose INT was higher than her?! Are onis really just that dumb or is it because she was a reincarnator with common sense?!

Her inner turmoil was cut short as one of the guards strong armed her and dragged her back into her room.

Soo… she got sidetracked again.

Hey there log, guess who? Of course it's Yoake! Who else would be crazy enough to narrate their own miserable existence in this universe!

Probably a lot of chuuni and self proclaimed edgy characters now that she thinks about it. Though if this was feudal Japan or at least somewhere around the Edo period then there's a chance that those kinds of people hadn't been born yet.

No, wait, she's definitely wrong about that. Trends have to start somewhere and surely there's already a bunch of chuuni running around the world considering that fricking magic exists.

Anyway, she was locked in her room, and by that she means that she was locked in her room.

Chains rattled as she attempted to move her arms and scratch that itch that she has on her cheek, truly this place does not know the fear that is instilled by Child Protective Services. She let out a sigh as she dazedly thought back to what happened after she decked her 'teacher'.

It seems that this time, her misgivings can't just be forgiven with a slap on the wrist, not that something like that would actually work against her body now that her Sturdy was at LV 6, so instead they chose to chain her in a chair locked in a room with guards 24/7.

She would have panicked if this situation wasn't actually that escapable, as proven by the fact that she could easily destroy the chain that was chaining her with but a flex of her Monstrous Strength supported muscle.

Yeah, apparently she can break steel now. Not surprising since she can already demolish an enormous stone three times her size. Man she was pretty strong wasn't she?

But if anything she's bored, and although this was probably the best time for her to just sit down and get the Meditation skill, her scatterbrained brain cell instead decided that she would search what other skill in the shop that there is.

She found a skill similar to Patience, what with having the same idiotically high price and needing a bunch of high end skills as the method of hard unlocking the skill.

Diligence, a super high end skill that needs Absolute Concentration, Stronghold, Suffering Nullification, Piercing Nullification, Cutting Nullification, Impact Nullification, Magic Nullification, and Elemental Nullification.

Dang, those are a lot of skills that need to be maxed to unlock. And most of them are passive resistance skills at the highest degree, and out of all of them she only has two that are the low leveled version of the skills!

Absolute Concentration was of course the evolved version of Concentration, and after further research Stronghold was the evolution to Sturdy. But the rest are skills that she doesn't have, and if she was being honest getting them would be kind of scary.

Wouldn't that mean that she would have to be hit repeatedly to get Impact Resistance? And then she needs to get hit more to evolve the skill to Impact Nullification?! She doesn't want to get hurt! Pain is bad! She isn't an M damn it!

But doing something like that would be effective wouldn't it? Getting hurt to gain a resistance skill would also allow you to get the Pain Resistance skill, which can further evolve to Suffering Nullification.

And there's three whole types of physical damage skills that you have to have at max to unlock the dang skill! Wouldn't that mean that you'll have to do the process of harming yourself to gain the skill three times?!

But then there's Magic Nullification, she's definitely not getting anything close to that anytime soon. Especially when the oni and their super low INT stats can't even cast the most basics of magic, what with their low MP and all.

Something that she now has! With her 20 skill points that she had just so recently gotten, she spent half of them on her INT stat to actually get some MP so that she can do magic and stuff.

Sadly she does not feel her brain expanding when she puts points on the stat, nor does her brain cell increase by doing so, and she can definitely confirm that as she and her multiple personalities given thanks to Parallel Will were all still idiots.

Yep, they all agreed with her too. They were all her after all, and since she was an idiot, they were all idiots.

Anyway, her stats were quite better now that she actually got more status points, she tried to spread it evenly, other than the INT stats that was now a flat 10 of course.

The amount of skill she has now is quite a lot isn't it! This was the result of her great hard work! Praise her! Praise her!

Anyway, she definitely isn't going to be getting Patience nor Diligence anytime soon, what with the closest that she has being to fill the requirement was for Diligence, which required Absolute Concentration and Stronghold since she has the skills prior to their evolved state.

But still, now that she has MP she can finally try and do magic! She did feel a strange tingle in her tummy ever since she put those stats at her INT and gained some actual MP, and she concluded that the tingling was indeed her magical power.

She still can't actually try and practice magic though, what with being chained in a chair inside her own room and all. But as soon as she gets out of this place, she'll probably try and practice magic instead of her usual physical training.

But well, variety is always nice right? It's not like she could always do the same thing over and over again every single day, that's just insanity!

Unless it's farming for gacha games though, farming is always something that will be done eternally after all.

Welp with that said her plans were now made, she'll try and get a skill called Mana Circulation and Magic Control to actually use magic for the first time, and of course she'll try and get fire magic first.

Why fire magic? For romance of course! What other magic would an oni need other than fire magic!

But in all fairness shell also try other magics too. Like healing magic so that she can heal herself when fighting and not just rely on HP Auto-Recovery to supply her with HP while fighting.

Sadly her usual log time was cut short as someone walked onto the room, garnering not only the attention of the guards that were keeping watch on her but also her own. Well, she usually doesn't pay attention to people in general, she'll skim through their stats and skill set with Appraisal and see if they were worth noting.

And the person who walked into the room was indeed someone worth noting, what with him not only having two digits on every stats around the thirties and a good amount of combat Skills.

The man wore armoire, the Japanese kind of course, fit for a shogun, though he left his head unprotected, letting his hair out for all to see. The man had spiky dark red hair, and on his forehead was a pair of blood red horns, a sight reserved for oni. The man had a pair of molten gold eyes, glaring directly onto her.

He was an oni-shogun, and he was apparently her dad.

Huh, neat.
