WeirdAlfan101- Sammy feels like a character that was written to be a finalist, but I like her development with her making it to the finale. Interesting guesses on who the finalists will be. You're right that Heather is the main antagonist while Alejandro and Courtney have pulled a lot of villainous moves themselves. Still you never know who could make it to the finale with how chaotic this game is turning out.
GlitchWarrior- Forgive me, but I don't quite understand your review. What do you mean when you say the chapter would be better if Sammy had compared Heather unfavorably to Amy?
OmniKamiUltraInstinct2020- Sammy was the best pick for elimination so I can see why it'd be a bit obvious. It'll be very interesting to see where Ella and Heather go as we continue to head towards the end of this season. The theme for the second half of this season is boys vs girls, but with all the infighting going on that's falling apart fast.
Critica7- You bring up a good point. The smart thing to do would be to sacrifice the temporary invincibility to form a stronger hold over Sammy. Of course while Heather is a good villain, she isn't always the smartest villain. She has great moments and good schemes, but her hindsight is poor. You're also right about plot armor carrying Heather to the final 3 in canon. I'll try and prevent plot armor here and instead have it seem reasonable she's staying as long as she does.
HashtagJustMonika- I did consider dropping Ella here at one point, but after realizing there was no way she could have an explosive rant against Heather I figured it wouldn't be as satisfying for her to fall the same way Lindsay did. Interesting take on the Heather and Ella friendship. We know from canon that Heather often has more respect for the other contestants than she'd care to admit so who knows if she just sees Ella as a pawn or if the girl means something more. I can't wait to further develop Heather and Ella as the future seasons will be something I think readers won't expect, but will enjoy.
LaViolaViolaRosa- Glad you're enjoying the story. Things are really heating up now as we approach the endgame.
Derick Lindsey- Variety is always good. As much as I love Sammy she's won a lot in my opinion, and it's fine that she didn't win in this story. Nice guesses on who's going next as well as how things will turn out moving towards the finale. As for Geoff remembering to put bolts in his bike I'll be honest I forgot about that joke in canon, but let's just use your explanation of Alejandro reminding him to explain that.
Gucci Mane LaFlare- Thank you very much. The bikes was something that I spent the most amount of time thinking about because I wanted them to be unique and also represent the characters that built them. I'm glad you liked how they turned out.
Guest- Very interesting predictions. It's true that I'm mirroring canon a lot, but don't expect that to mean I'll be following everything canon does exactly. I want to make this my own story, and I think I've done a good job of branching away from canon while still acknowledging it through the parallels.
Danicus Green- Sammy's elimination is shocking for several people because of her her arc seemed to be setting her up for the finale, but that was never planned for me. You're right about Heather. She should've given up invincibility to keep Sammy on her side for the long game. That's a problem Heather has though. While she's great at making schemes, Heather usually fails to look at the bigger picture of things. Glad to see you're enjoying the characters, and it's true that just because someone has been eliminated doesn't mean their impact on the story is over.
Polly McPhee- I will try my best to go back to doing that since that was the original plan.
Last time on Total Drama Island. Campers had to build their own hot wheels in a motocross challenge to race for invincibility. There were big winners, and big time losers. There were even some wicked off the track motocross stunts. But in the end it was Heather who crossed the finish line and double crossed Samey after refusing to give up her immunity destroying any trust and alliance left. Heather proved she really is a backstabbing user who will do anything to win. Samey ultimately lost the race and the challenge, which meant goodbye but not before giving Heather one last piece of her mind. Who will be the next challenge winner? Who will be the next loser? Who will renew my contract for next season? All these mind probing questions revealed on this episode of Total Drama Island.
The theme song begins with several cameras popping out of various locations. A cue card signals the start of transitioning through the island and past Chris
(Dear Mom and Dad I'm doin' fine)
The camera goes past several trees and up the island's large cliff
(You guys are on my mind)
The camera goes under the water where Owen is shown. He farts underwater accidentally killing a fish.
(You asked me what I wanted to be and now I think the answer is plain to see)
The dead fish pops up along with the fart bubbles. An eagle flies by and picks up the bird. On the beach shore nearby Geoff is shown tanning while Lightning is working out.
(I wanna be Famous)
Ella is singing with her animal friends in the forest. The eagle drops the fish over her scaring away her animal friends. Sugar is shown laughing at Ella's misery while Jasmine glares at Sugar.
(I wanna live close to the sun)
In a raft Heather and Leshawna are having a slap fight. They aren't paying attention to their surroundings and the raft goes over a waterfall with the two girls screaming.
(Well pack your bags cause I've already won)
On a log near the waterfall Leonard is practicing his wizard spells. He is so focused on his spells that he didn't notice Izzy swinging by on a vine. She crashed into him and the two went flying off screen.
(Everything to prove nothing in my way)
Izzy and Leonard go past the camp and crash into Harold right as he was about to enter the confessional. All three of them landed on the floor in pain.
(I'll get there one day)
Inside the Mess Hall Chef is mixing something into his mess of a pot. Cody and Ezekiel are shown tied up and look concerned about what Chef is going to feed them.
(Cause I wanna be famous)
Next to Cody and Ezekiel, Beardo is making several noises. Chef annoyed with his sound effects shoves a spoonful of food into his mouth as well.
(Na nananana nananana nananana)
Outside of the Mess Hall, Katie is holding onto Zoey and staring at a nearby Alejandro who is smiling back at the girls, his teeth sparkling in the process. Dave is shown nearby looking towards Zoey before turning and glaring at Alejandro.
(I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous)
At the end of the dock Courtney is shown waving at the camera elegantly. She missteps though and falls into the water with the view panning straight up into the daylight sky.
(I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous)
It quickly turns to night at the campfire ceremony. Sammy and Trent are sitting next to each other. They lean closer to each other, but Amy pulls Sammy's hair, knocks her down, and takes her seat. The rest of the campers are shown sitting around in a circle whistling along to the music.
The remaining eight campers gathered around the campfire pit watching horror movies at night. They were engaged in watching a horror movie, although some seemed to not really care much for the films that they were left with.
"Aw man killer dude is coming after the couple with a giant chainsaw." Geoff shouted intensely as he watched.
"They don't even notice that he's headed right for the car." Zoey said.
"They need to stop sha-making out or the killer is going to get them without even having to try." Lightning laughed.
Ella covered her eyes and hid from view as much as she could. "Can you please tell me when it's over I'm really not a fan of horror movies especially when they have so much violence like this one." She meekly said cowering in fear.
"Come on Ella it's all fake, not to mention so predicable. Watch the car isn't going to start when they notice the killer." Courtney said. Just as she predicted in the film the couple stopped making out upon realizing the killer was near, but their car did not start. "See you've seen one of them you've seen them all." She said
"You better run faster or else you're done for man." Geoff said.
The film cut to the killer catching up with the couple, Ella screamed in fear, while Geoff, Zoey, Lightning, and Harold cheered. "That was wicked." Harold said.
"And the killer gets away so they can make a sequel in a few years that's the exact same plot." Courtney dryly commented.
"Not a fan of horror movies I see?" Alejandro asked Courtney.
She rolled her eyes and got up from her seat. "Like I said, they're so predictable." She said.
Heather nodded in agreement. "Hate to say it, but she's right I don't see how anyone can find these things to be entertaining or even scary." She said. "Why are we even watching these films?" She promptly asked.
"Chris left them out and we might as well enjoy the treat while we can. Take a break from the game for a bit and just chill you know." Geoff said.
(Confessional Camera)
"Ever since the teams split up everything has been so tense and it's starting to harshen my mellow. Nice of Chris to leave us a little treat to chillax a bit and bring back some better vibes." Geoff said.
(Confessional End)
"Well I'd rather we not watch all of them in one night I've had more than enough horror films for a very long time." Ella said getting back to her chair.
Harold took the film from the projector and put it back into where it belonged. "This film was pretty tame compared to some other horror films. The effects weren't really that good either you could tell that the blood was fake." He said.
"Yeah I don't think the budget for this film was that high, but hey at least it was pretty enjoyable." Zoey agreed.
"Okay enough fun talking about the dumb movie does anyone know what our challenge is supposed to be?" Heather asked.
"I have not seen Chris in quite some time. Whatever he's planning for the next challenge it's probably going to be something big if he and Chef have been busy for so long." Alejandro said.
The group turned around quickly as they heard the Boat of Losers engine turn on. They headed down to the Dock of Shame to see that Chef was throwing several suitcases onto the boat. He looked to be panicking, frantically trying to get everything he needed onto the boat.
"Yo Chef, what's sha-going on?" Lightning asked.
Chef gasped in surprise seeing the group of contestants and said nothing but jumped onto the boat. Chris was already there waiting for Chef and once he saw him on board hit the engine control for the boat to take off. The contestants looked at each other confused and unsure what had just happened.
"Did Chris and Chef just leave us on the island alone?" Geoff asked scratching his head in confusion.
"They seemed to have forgotten this bag." Harold said picking up a bag that Chef had left on the dock in his hurry to leave. As Harold picked up the bag a newspaper fell out from the side. Harold picked it up and began to read the headline. "Escaped psycho killer on the loose. Be on the lookout for a man wearing a hockey mask with a hooked hand, and carrying a chainsaw."
Ella cowered timidly hiding behind Heather's legs. Heather rolled her eyes and shoved the smaller girl aside. "Will you cut it out Ella. Come on they seriously don't expect us to fall for this. They leave out a scary movie, followed by fake hasty exit, followed by strategically placed lame prop." She said.
"But Heather, Chris and Chef looked to be really scared." Ella said.
"Ella I am telling you that it's all part of their little stunt to freak us out." Heather told her.
Alejandro looked through the bag that Harold had picked up before finding something interesting. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news amigos, but if this were just to be a stunt as Heather claims, would Chris leave behind his hair gel?" He asked holding up a small bottle of hair gel with the hosts face on it.
"Whoa dudes I think that this might be for real." Geoff said with a hint of panic in his voice.
"So you mean that Chris and Chef just abandoned us here while there's an escaped psycho killer on the loose." Zoey yelled out.
The group descended into a small bout of disorder with arguing and shouting amongst themselves about what to do next. From all of the shouting Courtney whistled as loud as she could getting the attention of they group. They slowly stopped what they were doing or saying to turn and give her attention.
"Thank you, now whether this is a challenge or it's real the only we're going to make it out is by being organized and sticking together. The first thing we need to do is go back to the campfire pit and come up with some kind of plan of action." She said.
Lightning scowled at Courtney angrily. "Why should we listen to you?" He asked.
Courtney pulled out a notepad that had several bullet points written on it. "While you were all carelessly enjoying the film I was taking notes. These, along with the predictable nature of horror movies will be a surefire way for us to get through the night." She said.
(Confessional Camera)
"Courtney thinks she's so smart with her little notes, but when the psycho killer shows up she better not start begging Lightning to help save her." Lightning said crossing his hands angrily.
(Confessional End)
As the group walked back together, Zoey couldn't help but look around nervously.
"You alright brah?" Geoff asked her.
"Sorry, I just can't help but feel like we're being watched." She said.
Heather rolled her eyes at Zoey. "Duh we're on a reality TV show, we're always being watched." She told Zoey.
The camera panned out from the shot and Heather to show Chris, back on the island and in a control room with several cameras depicting different spots on the island.
"Heather's right, and tonight we're watching to see who can survive a real life scary movie. With special guest appearance by... the escaped psycho killer with a chainsaw, and a hook." Chris announced brandishing a hook over his hand for emphasis.
At the campfire pit, Courtney had a blackboard and chalk in hand.
"Okay, let me go over the basics that we need to be able to survive." She said.
Heather scoffed in annoyance and stood up. "If you want to stay here and listen to Courtney teach a class on nothing useful go ahead, but I am in desperate need of a facial so I'm going to take advantage of the free time." She said.
"Heather I really don't think that you should go out by yourself." Ella timidly said.
"Ella will you come back to reality, or at least the weird version of reality you live in. We're not in a movie." Heather said. "Hey Chris, if you're listening then next time rent a movie that takes place in a summer camp." She yelled out.
Chris shrugged watching the monitors. "I tried, but they were all rented." He said.
"If you want to sit around playing boogeyman with the rest of these losers Ella, then go ahead and be my guest, but I have a date with exfoliation." Heather said heading away from the group and towards the communal bathrooms.
"Looks like the bossy mean girl is going to be the first one out just like in the movie." Harold said.
"Allow me to accompany her so that she may be safe should the peril we face turn out to be real." Alejandro said hurrying after Heather.
Courtney threw her hands up in frustration. "Is nobody going to stick to the plan that we made of sticking together. If you look at my notes the first thing we should avoid is going off alone. The second thing we should avoid is heading off into the woods. Finally, the third thing that we should avoid is any making out in the woods. It's not that hard come on people." She said.
"Well looks like Alejandro and Heather are planning on breaking rules one through three." Geoff said with a smile.
Courtney groaned in frustration and continued to write on the blackboard for the group that was present.
"Will you quit following me?" Heather yelled at Alejandro as she continued walking towards the communal bathroom.
Alejandro smiled at her stepping forward to stand by her side. "I wouldn't want anything to happen to you out here by yourself when there's a dangerous madman who could arrive at any moment." He told her.
Heather rolled her eyes at him. "Come on you don't seriously believe any of that do you. It's obviously Chris and his lame attempt at making a challenge." She said.
"Well, if it were to be a challenge how do you suppose one would win?" He asked her.
Heather thought for a moment before shrugging. "The challenges have been getting more and more stupid how should I know what we need to do other than not fall for his lame set up." She said.
"You know I expected you'd be a lot more concerned with winning invincibility after your poor display last challenge. Zoey isn't going to trust you after that, and Courtney was only ever working with you because it benefited her. Your girl alliance is finished." Alejandro mocked.
"Like you're doing any better." Heather snapped back at him. "We both know you can't control Lightning from doing whatever he wants while Geoff and Harold are hardly strong allies to have. Not to mention that it's obvious you voted for Dave so I don't know how happy they'll be with someone who turns on his own alliance" She responded.
"It's not too late for us to leave the rest of them behind and work together to make it all the way to the finish." Alejandro said holding Heather's hand. "Together we could easily dominate and be the most unstoppable team this game has ever experienced." He offered.
Heather paused to think about it for a moment. "You and I formally working together?" She asked herself.
"What do you say chika?" Alejandro asked flirtatiously. He leaned in close to Heather closing his eyes as he moved to give her a kiss.
Heather reciprocated the action getting closer to Alejandro. "I say..." She began to say before hearing the sound of a chainsaw. She looked up to see the psycho killer behind them. "I say thanks for distracting the psycho so I can get away." She said shoving Alejandro into his grasp before running away.
"Heather!" Alejandro yelled at her.
"That was too easy." Heather said rubbing her hands and smiling. She calmly walked forward before bumping into the same psycho killer that she had just left behind with Alejandro. "How did you?" She began to question puzzled that he had gotten in front of her. He lifted his chainsaw revving it fiercely while Heather screamed as loud as she could. She continued to scream until she was dropped inside of the tent Chris was at monitoring the island, Alejandro standing at his side.
"Heather you can stop screaming now." Chris told her covering his ears from her screams. "It's just Chef." He said. Chef lifted up the mask to reveal that he was the identity of the psycho killer that had gotten the pair.
"What is wrong with you." Heather yelled at the two of them.
Chris laughed at how scared she had been. "You were right all along Heather, this was all just part of the challenge. You had to watch a horror movie and then survive one, but it looks like you and Alejandro are out." He explained to her.
Heather frowned and crossed her arms standing next to Alejandro who was glaring at her harshly. "What's your problem?" Heather asked Alejandro noticing the hostility that he was displaying.
"Perhaps the fact that you just left me in the hands of what was presumably an escaped psycho killer with a chainsaw and a hook just to save yourself right after I had suggested we work together." He snapped at her.
Heather rolled her eyes and looked away. "Whatever I knew we weren't in any real danger." She responded.
(Confessional Camera)
"I offered her a chance to stand by my side at the end, but if that's how she wants to play the game then she's going to see why Alejandro Burromuerto is not someone who's bad side you want to be on." Alejandro said.
(Confessional End)
"Great work back there Chef." Chris told Chef giving him some water and a quick break. "But, next time to work in the hook angle a bit more." He added. Chef nodded before putting his hockey mask back on and revving up his chainsaw ready to go after the rest of the contestants.
Back at the campfire pit, Courtney continued frantically writing on the blackboard. "In conclusion, if you ever find yourself inside of a building avoid any corners or furniture that would block your path. Take the quickest path to the door and go back to an open space where there's less chance you'll get stuck helpless." She said. "Any questions?" She asked looking up at the group.
"Where did Geoff and Harold go?" Ella asked?"
"I meant any questions related to the challenge." Courtney said before pausing. "Wait that is a good question where did they go?" She asked.
"I sha-heard the nerd say he needed to go take a leak and he took party boy off with him." Lightning answered them.
Courtney groaned in frustration. "If they're going to leave they should wait until the assigned bathroom break portion of my lecture. Well if nobody else has any other questions then allow me to continue." She said.
Outside of the communal bathrooms Geoff and Harold stood together as a pair.
"So like I know Courtney said we shouldn't go alone, but I think it's fine if you just wait out here for me." Harold told Geoff.
"That's cool with me dude." Geoff told him.
"You know even if a pyscho killer does show up he's not going to be a match for my mad moves. I've been practicing a lot with my nunchucks and I'm kind of a danger with them." Harold told Geoff.
Geoff laughed and smiled. "Awesome dude well go ahead and take care of your business then we can head back together. He said.
As soon as Harold went inside of the communal bathrooms, Chris smiled from his monitoring tent. "And cue the music." He said. Suddenly ice cream truck music began to play close enough that Geoff could hear it.
"Ice Cream! No way!" Geoff eagerly shouted before running off after the source of the music.
Inside of the communal bathrooms, Harold slowly approached one of the stalls. When he opened it psycho killer Chef was inside waiting for him. Harold quickly pulled out his nunchucks, but he pulled them out so fast that he accidentally let go of them and they went flying behind him. "Gosh." He said before smiling nervously at the psycho killer.
Chef easily picked Harold up with one hand and carried him all the way back to the observation tent without any kind of struggle. When they arrived he dropped Harold on the ground harshly and Chris just looked at him disappointedly.
"Wow after al that talk of being able to take care of the psycho killer yourself I have to say that was pretty lame dude." Chris told Harold.
"I could've done it if he hadn't surprised me gosh." Harold said defending himself.
"That's kind of the point he's supposed to sneak up on you, but either way you're out now so sit back with the other losers and let's see if anyone can manage to be taken as easily as you were." Chris said. "You're up psycho man." He told Chef who lowered his mask and headed out of the tent once more.
With the remaining group, Ella looked around anxiously as only she, Courtney, Lightning, and Zoey were left.
"I'm getting really worried about Heather I think that I should go look for her." Ella said standing up from her seat.
Courtney laughed before realizing that Ella was being serious about it. "Come on Ella we know there's no way Heather is still out there. Besides you'd never survive on your own the sweet and innocent girl is the perfect target once the queen bee, nerd, and party guy are gone." She said. Courtney paused for a moment and looked at her notes a bit confused. "That's weird according to my notes the jock shouldn't have lasted this long, but Lightning is still here. Oh well I guess Alejandro must have fit that role instead." She said shrugging.
Lightning scowled at Courtney. "And when do your dumb notes say that the sha-annoying prep girl get's to go." He asked her.
"Excuse me, I know that you aren't complaining when these notes are the only thing helping us to make it through this challenge." Courtney snapped back at Lightning.
"Are you seriously having an argument now of all times?" Zoey asked them.
The two ignored Zoey and just continued bickering with each other. As the argument showed no signs of ending anytime soon Ella got up and left to go look for Heather as she had originally intended to.
(Confessional Camera)
"Courtney may be right that I might not survive, and I'm more terrified than I've ever been before, but what kind of a friend would I be if I didn't try and find Heather. I know that she would do the same thing for me because that's what best friends are for." Ella said.
(Confessional End)
Ella slowly walked across the camp checking to see where she could find Heather. She checked the communal bathrooms to see if Heather had made it to her shower like she planned, the cabins to see if Heather was resting in her bed, and finally stopped by the Mess Hall.
"Oh I've checked everywhere that I can think of and still no sign of Heather." Ella told her bird friends. The birds chirped at her before pointing to their stomachs indicating that they were hungry. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to grab a small snack since we are in the Mess Hall, and besides if we find Heather she might be hungry as well." She said.
Ella looked around to see what kind of snack would be good to take before spotting a tray of brownies that had been left out. She smiled and picked them up happily. As she headed out of the door though, suddenly the birds by her flew away being frightened off by the sound of a chainsaw revving. Ella turned around slowly and saw the psycho killer had been waiting for her to grab the brownies.
"I'm not scared of you." Ella timidly said trying her best to appear calm. "Where's Heather?" She asked still speaking in a soft and timid voice. Psycho killer Chef responded by lifting up his chainsaw. As he did, Ella's brave façade broke and she screamed out in terror. Once in the observation tent, Chris was laughing and enjoying the tray of brownies that had been brought with her.
"You know I was betting on you being one of the first to run away, but I can't believe you were actually able to hold your ground even for a moment. Not to mention bonus points for getting us these sweet brownies." Chris told Ella.
Ella smiled taking a small bite out of one of the desserts. "I'm just glad that Heather is okay." She said smiling over at her friend.
"No thanks to you, next time you should follow me so that you don't have to go looking later." Heather told Ella annoyed that the challenge was still going on and they were stuck in the tent.
Ella nodded at her. "Oh why of course Heather, I promise I won't leave your side again." She said.
"Was one human shield not enough for you?" Alejandro asked Heather spite dripping from his voice. Heather ignored the question and just went over to take a brownie from Ella for herself.
(Confessional Camera)
"Ella is far too loyal to Heather, if I'm going to defeat her then I have to get rid of the pretend princess first and rid her of any remaining help." Alejandro said.
(Confessional End)
"Well that was a fun little diversion, but it's back to the action and it looks like Chef decided to take care of unfinished business because our old buddy Geoff is up next." Chris said looking over at the monitor where Geoff was still looking for the ice cream truck, but was now being followed closely by Chef.
"How does Geoff not notice Chef when being followed so closely?" Alejandro asked looking at the screen with interest.
Geoff calmly walked and psycho killer Chef decided to tap him on the shoulder to get his attention.
"Oh hey dude did you see an ice cream truck?" Geoff asked him.
Psycho killer Chef said nothing, but breathed heavily. Geoff shrugged it off and kept on walking forward. He suddenly paused though and stopped to think about what exactly had just happened. When it clicked in his mind, Geoff slowly turned around and screamed in terror. He was carried over to the tent where everyone looked at him with a blank expression unsure how to react to what had just happened.
"By far the worst blunder yet what was that dude?" Chris asked him. "Still at least you weren't as terrible as Harold was." He added. The conversation was cut off when they heard a loud argument between Courtney and Lightning coming from the screen that had been observing the group that was left at the campfire pit. They had been continuing their argument since Ella left and it only seemed to be growing worse the longer that it went on.
"Will you too cut it out already you're driving me crazy." Zoey finally snapped at them.
They stopped their argument and turned to look at Zoey. "She sha-started it." Lightning said.
"Are you serious how did I start the argument when I was just trying to keep everyone safe, yet nobody decided to listen to my lecture or my notes." Courtney replied.
"Maybe if you had just let Lightning lead from the start we wouldn't be here right now." He said.
Courtney laughed sarcastically. "Is that what all of this is about. You're still mad that we didn't want you as a leader and voted you out at the beginning of the game. Fine, go ahead and be mad, but it was the team that voted you out I don't get why you're so mad at me over it." Courtney snapped at him.
"You were the one who was trying to take Lightning's spot in charge. It should've been you who went home." He said.
"You're both terrible leaders and terrible people." Zoey shouted.
Courtney gasped in surprise. "Zoey how could you say that. I thought we were friends?" She asked putting her hand on Zoey's shoulder.
Zoey angrily shoved Courtney's hand off. "What kind of a friend helps vote off your boyfriend. You've always put yourself first Courtney, every single time. For as long as we've been so called friends it's been one sided and in your interest. I can't think of a single time you've done anything for me. You see the way Heather treats Ella in their friendship and then you do basically the same thing to me." Zoey told her. "You know what I'm out of here I'd rather deal with an escaped psycho killer with a chainsaw and a hook than have to keep putting up with the two of you for much longer." She said before heading off.
"You're not leaving Lightning alone with her. I'll take down that psycho myself and then you'll sha-see who's the better player." He said.
Courtney let out a loud yell of anger and threw all her notes in the air knocking down the blackboard as she left the campfire pit too.
(Confessional Camera)
"Ever since Dave was eliminated things haven't been the same, and now that Sammy is gone too I just feel so alone. Sure Geoff and Harold aren't that bad, but Ella is stuck into thinking Heather is her friend while everyone else is just terrible. Courtney, Heather, Alejandro, Lightning how did they make it this far instead of people who played fair and deserved a better shot." Zoey said breaking down. "I don't even want to be here anymore." She mumbled before just crying and covering her face.
(Confessional End)
Zoey walked with her head down in sadness. She quickly lifted her head up when she heard some rustling in a nearby bush. "If you're here for me then go ahead why even bother putting up a fight anyway." She said. To her surprise a deer popped out of the bushes rather than the psycho killer that she had been expecting. "I'm loosing my mind out here I have to refocus myself." She said out loud to herself before she continued walking. Zoey heard some footsteps near her, but didn't think much of it figuring it was just another animal until suddenly she heard a chainsaw revving. She turned around to see the psycho killer standing right behind her.
"Please don't hurt me." She said covering her eyes and wincing in fear. Psycho killer Chef lifted up his chainsaw once more, but upon doing so the bottom end of it hit Zoey as she was so close to him pushing her backwards. She stumbled from the hit trying to regain her balance only to fall from the edge of the cliff screaming on the way down. Chef looked over the cliff and saw her lying on her back having hit the ground and just shrugged it off focusing on Lightning instead. Zoey slowly picked herself up from the ground her back in pain from the fall. She clenched her hands in frustration then let out a large scream of anger. Afterwards, Zoey ripped off a piece of her skirt and wrapped it around her head while also taking mud from the ground to use as battle paint under her eyes.
(Confessional Camera)
"No more little miss nice it's payback time! And I don't care if that's okay with everyone." Zoey said before letting out a disturbing laugh.
(Confessional End)
Lightning walked onto the dock where he found the psycho killer was waiting for him. "About time I found you bring it on psycho because you're about to learn why you don't mess with the Lightning." He arrogantly said charging straight towards him.
Lightning grabbed a nearby chair and threw it at the psycho only for the chair to get cut in half by the chainsaw. He tried again with a canoe, but it ended up meeting the same result. He grabbed as many items as he could find scattered around the dock, but each was as ineffective as the last and psycho killer Chef merely continued to walk towards him. In his last act of desperation Lightning threw a fish at him which earned him a blank stare.
"It was the only thing I had sha-left." Lightning said. He tried to use his own physical strength to tackle down the killer having no more items to help him out, but upon doing so psycho killer Chef just used his hook to grab Lightning's shirt and lift him up. "Sha-dang it." Lightning said humiliated as he was carried away.
In the Mess Hall Courtney was sitting down eating a sandwich. "I try my best to help make sure that all of them would be able to survive through the night and don't get an ounce of gratefulness from them. I can't believe they would just ignore me like that." She complained taking a bite out of her sandwich. As she ate, a mysterious figure crept up behind her. She noticed him and rolled her eyes. "Great looks like the psycho killer is here to finish me off, can I at least enjoy my sandwich before you go take me wherever the rest of the contestants are?" She asked taking another bite.
Chef meanwhile was transporting Lightning back over to the losers tent. As he was walking he pulled a tripwire string that had been left by Zoey. Upon pulling it a massive log swung by pushing him down and setting Lightning free from his hook. Chef looked around trying to find where the log had come from, and had to quickly move out of the way as a series of arrows were thrown at him from the trees. In the darkness Zoey could barely be seen, but it was clear she was the source of this. He got up and revved his chainsaw looking in all directions to try and find the girl. She snuck up behind him pushing him down from behind and grabbing the chainsaw and pointing it at him.
"Who's scared now?" She asked laughing once again.
Zoey, Lightning, and Chef walked back together to the losers tent where Zoey held his psycho killer mask as a trophy.
"Zoey managed to take down our killer which means she's the winner of the challenge." Chris announced.
The group cheered, before Alejandro looked over at the monitor curiously. "Chris, if Chef is right here defeated, then who is that in the Mess Hall with Courtney?" He asked directing their attention to the screen.
"Dudes that must be the real escaped psycho killer with a chainsaw and a hook." Geoff said panicking. The group rushed out and ran over the Mess Hall as fast as they could hoping it wasn't too late to warn Courtney.
"This could be really really good for ratings, or really really bad for lawsuits." Chris told Chef as they were running.
In the Mess Hall Courtney continued to argue with the psycho killer still believing it to be part of the challenge.
"Look I know that actors like yourself probably aren't paid the best but would it kill you to invest in a dental plan of some sort your teeth are not going to last long untreated and your breath is terrible too." Courtney told him.
(Confessional Camera)
The psycho killer checked his breath in the confessional looking unsure.
(Confessional End)
"So which cliché are you going to go for impaling me with your big scary hook or try to go for a bigger budget shot and get the chainsaw to do it for you. Trust me my notes had all the different common horror movie death methods so there's not much that'll surprise me." Courtney told him. He glared at her angrily as she just continued to eat her sandwich. "Listen I'm really tired after the day I've had so why don't you just drop the act we both know it's just Chris wanting to make a suspenseful challenge and the others probably lost already which means I win by default. To be honest though I expected you to be a lot scarier your props are very clearly fake." She told him.
He growled at her and took off his hook to reveal a stub in the place of his hand with several bumps across it. "Okay so the makeup department got all the budget, that's kind of a waste when the hook covers this but then again I wouldn't expect Chris to care for attention to details." She said.
He yelled out in anger lifting both his chainsaw and his hook ready to strike at Courtney. The rest of the contestants along with Chris and Chef ran through the door panicked. "Courtney, he's the real escaped psycho killer with a chainsaw and a hook!" They all frantically yelled at her.
It took Courtney a moment to process what was happening, but once she realized it was real she let out a scream and kicked the psycho killer in the face multiple times making him drop his weapons and kicking his mask off too.
"Oww." He said holding onto his face. "That was so uncalled for. Man I am so out of here, I was treated way better in prison." He said calmly leaving while continuing to hold onto his face that hurt.
Everyone looked shocked at what just happened and Zoey smirked at Courtney impressed. "Not too bad princess." She told Courtney who just smiled in response.
They all gathered around the campfire for the night's elimination, though unlike previous campfire ceremonies they didn't go vote.
"Well it's obvious to everyone that Courtney wins invincibility for managing to take down a real escaped psycho killer with a chainsaw and a hook." Chris told them.
"Although today we're not voting, no instead today's loser sent home will be the person who performed the worst in the challenge. Sadly, I think it's unanimous that goes to Harold who must now walk the dock of shame. We had a lot of losers today, but nobody was so confident they could take down Chef and go down as lame as Harold managed to." Chris explained to them.
Harold got up saddened by his elimination and sighed. "Not even voted out gosh this sucks." He said.
"Hey come on dude you put up a really good game and you had a blast didn't you. Sure it sucks that you have to go, but it was a wild ride being on the same team as you." Geoff said giving Harold a fist bump.
Alejandro nodded towards Harold smiling. "Amigo while many underestimated you and thought you were going to be eliminated early on in the game you more than proved yourself not to mention you managed to get yourself a wonderful girl to call your chicka." He told him.
"Harold I know we weren't always on the best of terms, but thanks for being my teammate. We owed a lot of our wins to you and I didn't always give you the credit that you deserved." Courtney told him.
Zoey kept a stern expression on her face, but put her hand on Harold's shoulder. "Get stronger and next time you'll be the one ahead of the others. Take care Harold." She told them.
Harold smiled at his former teammates and held his head up high proud to have made it this far into the game and to have been able to play along them. "I will never forget my time as a Killer Bass. Farewell Total Drama while I may have came to this game just a boy I leave it as a man, a man who loved and who lost but who made it as far as he could." He said.
Harold was taken to the boat of losers and his former teammates stood at the dock waving farewell to the nerd. In the distance, the psycho killer could be seen watching the island hiding from behind a bush.
"Total total total drama drama drama island island island." He whispered before stopping to hold his face again. "Ouch. Man that really hurts. I think it's bleeding. Is it bleeding. Oww." He complained before heading off never wanting to deal with this group of insane and fame hungry teenagers again.

Elimination Explanation: This was a tough one. I knew Harold was going out at this point since he had the least plot going on, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to justify his elimination. The justification I ran with ended up being weak, but it was honestly the best I could come up with since there's just nobody to fit DJ's cowardly move from canon. Ella fit being the scared one, but even then I don't see her freaking out the way DJ did not to mention Heather wasn't able to take a shower in the first place. All in all I feel this is one of the weaker eliminations of the story, and I hope that you don't mind it too much. Harold was a fun character to write, but I never found much for him to do in the plot. I do have some ideas for how to better develop him in future seasons, and I am keeping to my promise that LeHarold will not break up. Sorry Harold fans, but there will be more to come in the future.
A/N: Been over a year between the last chapter and this one. I know I've grown a reputation for long gaps in between chapters, but this really is the longest time ever. Explained this a bit but for those unaware, to put it bluntly 2020 was a terrible year for myself. I know that seems like an understatement considering how difficult of a year it was for pretty much everyone, but for myself everything just seemed to go wrong. Working on this story was the last thing I had on my mind, and for quite a while I considered finally taking the hard choice in cancelling this story and my other stories to simply get rid of that extra pressure to keep working. To put things into perspective I was working almost 11 hours a day and I live in a very small community so there was a high demand to provide services to the community which my job was a part of. On top of that I had friends and family get covid throughout the year along with myself and simply had my mental health along with productivity plummet drastically. I'm not saying any of this to ask for pity, rather I just want to contextualize the life obstacles that resulted in a year long hiatus. What pulled me back to the story and made me decide not to cancel it was the support. Throughout the year hiatus I still checked on comments and messages to see support for the story and concern for myself. Knowing that others care about the story and want to see it finished encourages me to keep going despite the difficulty and hiatus. I also posted an update and was swarmed with kind words and support afterwards. I am going to finish this story no matter how long it takes because people want an ending for it. Thanks for the support, life is going a bit better for me now, I've regained my passion for writing, so lets get to the story itself.
So this chapter quite a lot happened didn't it. I figured that this would be the best place to have Zoey become "Commando Zoey" as it fits both with the challenge and is also a good place to do so in the story. With Sammy being eliminated last challenge and her trust in the remaining contestants pretty low it makes sense that she'd be pushed to her limit in her quest to avenge Dave. Will her new cutthroat and ruthless attitude be what she needs to win the game, or will pushing away all of her allies to play it solo end up costing her. It's an arc that I'm going to have fun with and I hope you enjoy what I have planned for her.
The hardest part of this challenge had to be figuring out what to do without any easy candidates for horror movie enthusiasts to fill the role of Gwen and Duncan. I played around with a few different characters who could take on that job, but in the end I decided it would be better to subvert that and go in a different direction. Courtney seemed like a good fit to be the "expert" due to her expecting a challenge and taking notes along with being familiar with the predictability and formula of the film. She also took on Gwen's role of facing a real psycho killer, but let's be honest that's not really a problem for Courtney. As for who would take down Chef originally I thought about having it be Alejandro, but since he and Heather were given the "couple in the woods" plot Commando Zoey was of course the most reasonable option. Speaking of that, more Aleheather teases and so close to a kiss, but the challenge got in the way. Huge strain on their relationship too with Heather throwing Alejandro away just to save her own skin. Love playing off of the tension between them and this chapter provided a lot of room for that.
Next time we go hunting for animals. I'm sure Commando Zoey will be very happy about that as for the rest, probably not so much. Looking forward to that as well as the resolution for one plot point that's been somewhat in the background for a while now. Till then let me know what you thought of the chapter and hope you enjoyed.
