So um...I apologize for the overabundance of Lukanette when I promised Adrigami. I do plan on getting on that!

It's just I posted a WIP for this fanfic on my tumblr and got an overwhelming response so I felt the urge to finish it and publish it.

This is just a random fanfiction for the prompt "nightgown"

Relax! This one is safe for work...Honestly, I don't think this fanfic is all that special but I hope someone enjoys it.

Also, the song referenced in this fanfic is "Everything" by Lifehouse. So without further ado...

Disclaimer: Miraculous Ladybug belongs to Thomas Astruc and Zagtoon. This is just a fanfic written by a fan.

Luka was a nervous wreck.

He and Marinette dating for six months, and he loved her more than anyone, but this was the first time they would be sleeping in the same bed together.

Anarka and Juleka were elsewhere, and earlier Anarka gave Luka a stern talking about being responsible. Not that Luka was going to do anything indecent tonight!

Besides, he could hear Marinette nervously getting ready in the bathroom. He wondered what was taking her so long in the first place.

But he sat on the bed playing a few random chords on his guitar and just letting the rhythm flow.

Eventually, the bathroom door opened, and Luka played the tune a bit more affectionately.

"Ok, I'm ready," Marinette said. "Sorry for the wait."

Luka hummed and continued to play. "That's ok Marin-"

He ended up playing off-key and stopping in his tracks at the sight of Marinette looking bashful and wearing an incredibly regal white nightgown. Like the nightgown Christine from Phantom of the Opera wore. He certainly felt it suited his melody well. But he had difficulty saying anything sweet with his breath caught in his throat.

Marinette started to blush hard and turn away. "I'm so sorry Luka! I know I probably overdressed and it's ridiculous!"

She was about to make a mad dash back to the bathroom.

"No Marinette!" He cried.

Luka quickly placed his guitar down and ran to grab her arm. Marinette looked up into his aquamarine eyes, and she knew then he wasn't offended. His eyes were as gentle and loving as ever, which always eased Marinette up.

"You look," Luka paused again because mere words could not describe how incredibly enamored he was right now.

He let go of her arm and placed his hands on her shoulders. Luka breathed before taking a moment to run some strands of her hair between his fingers.

"You look absolutely stunning, Marinette," Luka finally said. "A real vision! A beautiful melody on a lonely night." Luka could go on from here.

Marinette still felt a bit bashful because every sweet word Luka uttered smothered her in a good way.

"Oh, you give me too much credit Luka!" Marinette cried.

Luka smiled down at her.

"I meant everything I said Marinette, and I can say so much more. I can sing of your melody all night."

Marinette smiled, feeling the biggest self-esteem boost in the world.

"I'm not sure what the occasion is though," Luka said.

"Oh!" Marinette took a moment to scratch the back of her head. "Well, I am sleeping over for the first time, and I wanted to look nice for you." She lifted up her arms to show off the lace that hung from her sleeves. "So I made this!"

Luka's smile grew, and he looked away, trying not to laugh.

"What is it Luka?" Marinette asked.

Luka turned back to her and affectionately played with another strand of her midnight blue hair.

"Oh, I was just thinking a shining star like yourself should be sleeping in a bed in a castle," Luka looked around. "Not a houseboat."

Marinette sighed. "It's fine Luka!"

Luka also took a moment to look at the grey sweat clothes he wore as pajamas. "And I feel I should be wearing something nicer."

Marinette placed his hands on his chest and lightly tackled him.

"You're fine Luka! You're the most handsome guy in Paris. I love you!" Marinette cried. "I love you so much!"

Luka felt his own heart song singing in his chest, and then Marinette quickly looked up and gave him a serious look. She got on her toes and planted a kiss on his lips. Luka enjoyed the sweet kiss from his beautiful girlfriend, but Marinette kissed him so hard that they fell on the bed.

Marinette was so off guard from falling forward that she yelped. Luka caught Marinette safely, but his hand also fell on his phone. He accidentally pressed a button that turned on the sound speaker. And soft guitar music from a song they both loved started playing and filled the room.

"Sorry!" Marinette cried. "That was reckless of me!"

Luka smiled and shook his head. He didn't bother stopping the music and instead helped the both of them up.

Marinette relaxed and took a moment to hum along to the song.

"Well, I wasn't ready to go to sleep yet anyway," she said.

"Me neither," Luka said.

He paused for a moment and held out his hand to her. Marinette took a moment to blink her bluebell eyes.

"Wanna dance Marinette?"

Marinette smiled up at him and took his hand. "Sure!"

It was incredibly cliche but the romantic song lyrics playing in the background put Marinette in the mood. She placed her hand on Luka's shoulder, and Luka placed his hand around her waist, and the two of them started their slow dance.

Luka didn't say it out loud, but he did feel like he was dancing with a princess as he danced with Marinette. That nightgown was just so lovely that it was hypnotizing. Marinette giggled softly during the slow dance, and Luka moved in closer to plant kisses on top of her forehead.

Suddenly the song lyrics became more energetic.

Cause you're all I want,

You're all I need,

You're everything, everything.

The same lyrics playing energetically as if the singer wanted to emphasize the theme. With the song becoming more energetic, Luka smiled down at Marinette. He swiftly lifted her up and twirled her around multiple times. Marinette was giggling from how much fun she had from being twirled around in Luka's arms. Marinette's laughter along with their favorite song just made Luka feel complete.

And how can I stand here with you,

And not be moved by you?

Would you tell me,

How could it be,

Any better, any better than this?

As the music started to fade and Luka held Marinette in the air one more time. Then he slowly brought her down to kiss. A kiss that Marinette returned by cupping his face with her hands.

When the kiss broke, Marinette wiped the sweat from her forehead. She didn't want sweat all over her nightgown, but moments like these made her happy she had such an amazing boyfriend in her life. A boyfriend that would slow dance with her in a bedroom.

"Phew! That was a workout!" Marinette cried.

Marinette walked up the stairs and onto the deck, and Luka followed her.

She walked to the bow and looked up at the stars above them.

"Wow!" Marinette cried. "The stars are beautiful tonight."

Luka smiled down at her. His blue eyes glimmered.

"They are? I haven't noticed," Luka said.

Marinette took a moment to look back at him and lightly punch his arm. "Oh you!"

Just then, Marinette was caught off guard by Luka holding her from behind, and Marinette sighed in happiness as she placed her hand on the strong arm that held her.

They stood in silence, holding each other tenderly and standing on the edge of the boat as if it became a love boat. And that was good enough for Marinette, not a castle. Just her handsome boyfriend and the houseboat.

They continued to stand under the stars until Marinette let out a soft yawn.

Luka let out a soft gasp, and Marinette was about to take his hand and bring them both to bed, but Marinette was caught off guard by Luka lifting her up bridle style.

She would've said he didn't have to spoil her this much, but she was getting sleepy, and she had to admit she could fall asleep in Luka's arms right now.

Luka carried her back inside the boat and placed her on the bed. Marinette turned to face him as he laid down beside her.

Marinette took a moment to place her hand on his cheek. Her drowsy bluebell eyes sparkled in a way that silently said "I love you" before sleep overcame her.

Luka placed his hand on her cheek as well as she smiled in her sleep. He pulled the blanket over both of them and wrapped his arms around her to hold her close to his chest.

He admitted he could get used to doing this every night, but they were still teenagers, and both their parents would be concerned. Of course, that beautiful nightgown she wore wasn't helping either.

But Luka felt Marinette could get used to this as well as she looked so peaceful as she slept in his arms. He wondered if she ever slept this well being Paris' superhero.

Luka silently listened to her until he laid on his back with Marinette's head and hand resting on his chest. Luka wrapped his arm around her waist and held her as his eyes fluttered shut.
