When Ayaka first hear of the Traveler's deeds both on Mondstadt and Liyue, she first thought that those were an exaggeration. But soon, more and more news about his own deeds came to her ears. She asked Beidou about that, and she confirmed it all.
After that, she wished to meet him, training every day to improve her blade skills. After a few day, she got the chance to meet him. She felt something when she saw him for the first time. He accepted to help them after she told him to get him a meeting with the Shogun. Then, they spend time together. It was the most fun and enjoyable time she's ever had. She showed her gratitude by dancing to him.
Then, Thoma got arrested, and Aether saved him. Wanting now a criminal, Aether had to leave and went to help the Resistance. After a week or so, he returned, fighting the Shogunate, and drawing the attention of the Shogun.
The archon and him fought, but then the Fatui arrived, and tried to steal their Archon's Gnosis. But Aether stopped them. He was injured, but before the Fatui could end him, the Shigun went his aid and eliminat the Fatui.
Soon after, the Shogun and Aether made peace between themselves, and Aether got his meeting. The Shogun answered his questions, and Aether also convinced her to stop the Vision Hunt Decree.
Later on, he visited her, and she hugged him tightly, thanking him for all he's done. They celebrated big, taking a big meal for them.
Time got when he had to leave to Sumeru, but Ayaka didn't want that to happen. She thought that he could stay, and leaving the Shogun to ask about his sister on the other 4 nations. But he declined. He wanted to find his sister at all costs. So she made her decision. She decided to go with him, so they can create memories together. At first he disagreed, but soon accepted her as another member of his travels.
Together, they traveled through the next 4 nations. Making friends, helping others, fighting the Fatui, speaking with the Archons. At some point, they arrived to Sheznaya, the home of the Fatui. They fought their way across the terrain, taking care of the weather. When they arrived to the capital, they were expected, and the Tsaritsa received them herself. They spoke, and she even told hi, that she knows where to find his sister. After completing her favor, she guided them to a long forgotten place, all the while explaining why she needed the Gnosis of the Archons. She knows that both Aether and his sister are not from this world, surprising him, but more Ayaka. She wanted to use the Gnosis to finally destroy the Abyss and Celestia. Immediately, Aether wanted to stop her, but she promised that she won't do anything until he saved his sister. She even offered the help of her Harbingers, since she knows that going to the kingdom of the Abyss, once Khaenri'ah.
Before they entered he Abyss, though, the Tsaritsa gave him a weapon that fell from the sky over 500 years into the past. Aether immediately recognized it as his Sword, the one that he used to have when he and his sister arrived to Teyvat.
He, along with Ayaka and his most trusted and stronger companions, with the help of the Harbingers, went deep into the Abyss. They fought all kind of mages and troops, as well as different Abyss Heralds. After many battles, they met again with Dainslif, and they had to fight. He claims that he was using him and others to get themselves strong to defeat him and to save Lumine from the Abyss. Dainslif trapped Aether's companions on a shield. He. Lao Med that it as so he can fight without distractions. Using all of his strength and power after recovering fro, the Seven, after a long battle, Aether alone defeated Dainslif. Only then, could Dainslif leave this world, and the gate to his precious sister lays ahead. Freeing his companions, they set out to meet Lumine, at the heart of what was once Khaenri'ah.
They found her, but instead of receiving him with open arms, she attacked. Aether tried to speak sense into her, claiming that they should leave and be together once again. But Lumine wasn't listening. She wanted to destroy the Gods, to destroy Celestia.
With a heart filled with pain, and tears in his eyes, Aether fought his own sister. The fight was chaotic, blows after blow and unimaginable amount of elemental energy were released into the air, destroying everything that hit. Aether's companions had to hide somewhere safe, realizing that the two twins' power can rival that of an Archon.
Ayaka was watching as the fight took place. She can even feel Aether's pain of fighting his own sister. The one that he told her about that he wanted find at all costs. She went with him on his journey to help him and to get to know him better, but her heart ached, knowing that once he found his sister, he'd leave. But now, she can't help but feel pain for her beloved. Watching him struggle against his own kin, the same kin that he's travelled for a long time.
She prayed that everything would be ok. That her beloved would come out fine, victorious on saving his sister.
The fight lasted a few minutes, with Aether disarming Lumine. Both with tears on their eyes, their bodies sore and bloody.
"You know that I cannot return with you, brother. They will hate me for all the actions I and the Abyss committed." Lumine said.
"I don care about that! I finally have you in front of me. We can be finally together again, Lumine. You don't know how much I yearned for this."
"You've been here for a few years! I've been here for over 500 years! I did all of this because I wanted to be with you again! I went mad because of that Goddess that separated us!"
Aether lo were his sword and hugged Lumine. "But we can be now together. We can repair what was broken." He said.
Lumine's arms shook as she struggled to decide what to do. But after a few seconds of hesitation, she hugged him back, sobbing and crying on his shoulder.
Ayaka and the others came out from hiding, sympathizing with the twins.
Suddenly, a voice was heard, and the unknown goddess appeared.
"How pitiful. I thought that one would kill the other. No matter. My plan is still on motion." She said, and the same cubes that separated them came out from her hands, separating them again.
"Aether!"
"Lumine!"
"Traveler!" They shouted.
The unknown goddess was supposed to absorb all of the twins' power, but the seven Archons, with their Gnosis own their bodies once again, descended to save the twins, fighting the unknown goddess.
"Let them free, Ara'he!" They shouted, using their power to attack her. The unknown goddess, known as Ara'he, defended herself, but forgot about the twins on their cell.
Ayaka and the others took this chance to free them. It was at this moment that Paimon suddenly started to glow brightly, and sh claimed that she now remembers.
"I am Paimon, creator of Teyvat, and protector of balance." She claimed. "The Travelers are my guests, and you are not welcome here!" She said, using her strength to free the twins first, then attacked Ara'he. She screamed as the bright power hit her. The now weakened goddess, Paimon could seal her away, but she said something that made everyone's blood run cold.
"She was supposed to be a gentle soul, but darkness took hold of her, my other half." She looked to Aether. "In order to stop her from resurfacing, we have to be eliminated."
"But… I cannot do it, Paimon. We… we are best friends…" Aether said, lifting the little body of Paimon, who's skin and eyes showed the internal struggle she is doing.
"Don't worry about that, Aether. Paimon's grateful for your friendship. Paimon promised to be a good guide, and that Paimon would help you finding your sister. Paimon's job is over now. So please, don't be sad for Paimon. Paimon loves you." She said.
Aether sobbed as he took his sword. Paimon was still smiling, nodding to him what had to be done.
"Thank you… for everything." Aether said. Paimon only smiled wider and closed her eyes.
Aether stabbed her heart.
A year later, Aether went with Lumine to the different nations again. The Archons wanted to judge her by meeting her. Some were skeptical, but all of them forgave her, understanding what happened.
It was that year that the Tsaritsa truly used the power of the Gnosis to destroy the Abyss, saving its people from the corruption of darkness, and then destroying Celestia.
While reunited, Aether's heart was still grieving for Paimon. The Seven Archons made a beautiful funeral for her, with Hu Tao and Zhongli being responsible of it. The Tsaritsa provided all the resources for it. The other Archons all provided something: a building that won't be affected by the flow of time, with self maintenance coming from Sumeru, an endless fountain from Fontaine, crystals to illuminate the building from Natlan, a frozen statue of Paimon form Snezhnaya, the most precious Sakura Blooms from Inazuma, Jade from Liyue and eternal dandelions from Mondstadt.
The place of the funeral was on the same place where Paimon and Aether met. With everyone that met her attending.
The Archons gave each a show of their respect. Aether then gave a small speech, telling a bit of their encounter and how she guided him across his first steps upon awakening on Teyvat. And how she was with him when he was feeling down. And how she saved him and his sister at the end of his journey through Teyvat.
Afterwards, people placed their offerings on the altar. Mostly food, but also Mora was placed.
A month later, the twins went to Inazuma. Aether wanted to visit someone, realizing that he developed feelings for her some time ago. Lumine supported him and encouraged him to declare his feelings to her.
They went to the Kamisato estate, and Ayaka received them. They told her about their journey so far, and how Lumine is adjusting again to be around.
"There is something that I'd like to tell you, Ayaka."
"Oh? What is it? Have you decided to leave?" She said smiling, but with pain behind it.
"Actually, no." Lumine spoke. "We decided to stay." She added. "And my brother has something to tell you."
"Ayaka… I… I love you. Not as a friend, but as something more." He said, looking up to her eyes.
Ayaka's eyes filled with tears and she sobbed a bit. "I… it's been a long time since I've wanted to say this, but I also love you. And I'd like to spend my life with you." She said.
"Then… would you marry me?" Aether said, a small blush on his face.
"Yes. Yes! I want to marry you!" She said, hugging him.
They news of their engagement spread across Teyvat. The Shogun ordered for preparations to be made while the Qixing founded the wedding.
Ayaka spent now most of her time choosing a wedding dress with the Shogun. Sumeru provided the best techniques to process fabric for a a dress? Liyue provided the jewels. Snezhnaya provided the veil for her, while Fontain,Mondstadt, Natlan and Liyue provided with the male's suit.
The wedding took place on Inazuma. Aether was dressed in a gold and black suit, jewels and decorations over his body. His sister wears a while and soft blue dress made paid by the Qixing and made by the Tsaritsa. Everyone was waiting for Ayaka to arrive, with everyone over the Shogunate Estate.
The doors opened, and Ayaka dressed in a white and gold dress walked inside. Her face was covered by the veil from Snezhnaya, the strapless lace bodice has a sweetheart neckline, and is pulled in at the waist. The dress falls into a beautiful and voluminous tulle ball gown skirt with a dramatic train. Lace detail along the hemline mirrors the design of the bodice, giving this dress a cohesive and elegant vintage look.
The Shogun and her brother were walking her towards the altar. Once there, Zhongli made the typical speech.
"Love is a wonderful thing to find. And can show how caring someone is. It must be protected and cherished, for love grows and strengthens. Today, we will unite a man and a woman, who have fallen in love throughout time and different situations. They care of each other, and now wish to be together on saint marriage." He looks to Aether.
"Aether, do you take Kamisato Ayaka's hand as your wife, and promise to respect her, cherish her, love her during health and sickness, richness and poverty, until death set you apart?"
"I do." He said. Ayaka smiled behind the veil.
"And you, Kamisato Ayaka, do you accept Aether as your husband?"
"I do."
"I declare you husband and wife. May you relationship blooms and shine bright. You may kiss the bride."
Aether lifted the veil, cupped Ayaka's cheek and kissed her, while everyone cheered on them. They then entered a transport to take them back home to do their honeymoon, with everyone cheering them as they move. They grabbed onto their hands, looking lovingly to each other.
Lumine was the one that drove them back to their home, at the Kamisato estate.
Once there, Lumine hugged her brother and wished him happiness. He also wish for her happiness too, claiming that she'll find someone precious to her other than him. Lumine smiled and left them, saying that she and someone from Mondstadt is waiting for her.
Entering the house, they made it straight to the room, with kissing and caresses, the clothes slowly were being dropped to the ground.
It was a night that neither will ever forget, the time they made love to each other, showing each other how much they love one another.
A few weeks later, Ayaka had a surprise for everyone, but she decided to tell Aether first. She is pregnant. Again, the news traveled fast, with everyone waiting for the new baby to be born. The Shogun arranged a room for them to stay at the Shogunate Estate, so she has everything she may need.
Sumeru arrived with a new machine that serves to look inside the womb. And to everyone's surprise, it wasn't only one baby, but two. Twins. A girl and a boy.
Nine months later, the twins were born. They decided to call the girl Paimon, and the boy Dein. That day, Lumine also announced her marriage with Amber and Noelle. They love each other the same, so the three of them decided to marry on Mondstadt.
Aether and Ayaka attended, congratulated them. Sumeru also developed a way for females to get pregnant without the seed of a man, and all three of them decided to carry a child.
A few years later, all the children are now playing on the Kamisato Estate's garden, with the two families together. Aether and Ayaka are expecting another child, making again a huge movement across the seven nations. They just returned from their trip to Snezhnaya, visiting the Cyo Arhcon.
"I love you." Aether said to Ayaka.
"I love you too." Ayaka answered.
Lumine smiled, watching her brother.
"Mama! Papa!" Paimon and Dein screamed, running to them. "Can we go outside with Emma, Amy and Lala?"
"Only if you go with Sara or Thoma." Aether said. "I don't want you to get hurt, or your mother and aunt will kill me." Everyone chuckled at that.
Life was good for Aether and his sister. They thought that they needed to leave this world, but they were surprised by it, deciding to stay on Teyvat with their new love ones.
Ayaka was the happiest woman in all Teyvat. Making a friend from the Traveler, and now being his wife and the mother of his children fill her heart with happiness and love. She caress her belly, sighing happily at the new child that she's carrying. Paimon and Dein surely were a challenge for her, not having the advices of her mother. But the Shogun and all of her husband's friends helped her to raise her children the best way.
"Something in your mind, Ayaka?" Lumine asked.
Ayak shook her head. "Nothing, just thinking how happy I am."
Lum smiled, knowing full well what she mean as they watched Aether playing with the children along with Sara and Thoma.
'I'm the happiest and luckiest girl. I love you, Aether.'
