A/N- So, to answer the question I asked in the last update, this entire story came from the "Bippity boppity boo baby," segment of a 2019 panel with Rose and Tiera. Anyways, I own nothing, all rights belong to ABC.

"Alright Mrs. Mills, the gel is going to be fairly cold," the doctor warned Alice as she prepared to do the ultrasound.

Alice nodded worriedly, and Robin squeezed her hand gently.

"Hey," Robin whispered gently. "It's gonna be okay. Mom always talked about how amazing the ultrasounds were, but she never mentioned anything about it hurting at all."

The doctor smeared the jelly on Alice's slightly swollen stomach, and she shivered a bit, for it was indeed cold. Alice's doctor moved the probe around on Alice's skin, and she and Robin watched in fascination as a black and white picture appeared on the screen.

"Alright, so if you'll look right there, you will see little baby Mills," the doctor directed their attention to a certain spot on the screen. "They're about the size of a grape right now, but rest assured, that is perfectly normal, and they'll grow quickly."

Alice and Robin were mesmerized by the sight of their itty-bitty unborn baby up on the screen.

"Look, love," Robin whispered eventually. "It's our baby. Isn't she just adorable?"

"You know we won't be able to tell whether it's a she or a he for another couple of months, right?" the doctor inquired gently.

"We know. But I've got a good feeling that Robin's right," Alice replied, speaking for the first time since entering the doctor's office. "I'd like to think it's a little girl."

"Well, everything looks healthy," the doctor said after a few minutes. "Would you like to take home a copy?"

"Yes, please," Alice responded.

"Alright then. How many?" the doctor asked.

"Just two. One for me, one for Alice," Robin responded quickly. They'd already decided how they were going to tell Nook and Zelena, and Robin didn't want Alice to change her mind and give their parents a copy too soon.

"Okay. Here are your pictures. Go on into the lobby and sign out, and then you're free to go," the doctor dismissed them, handing them their pictures on the way out.

Upon arriving at their apartment, the young parents-to-be immediately took out their designated baby scrapbook and glued in Alice's copy of the ultrasound.

As they were doing so, the two of them began to discuss names.

"Well, you know when we tell mom, she'll want us to name her Zelena," Robin said. "But, I think we can both agree that that's off the table."

"Right. And papa will want us to name her after Milah," Alice replied. "But I'm fairly certain that I don't want to name our baby after that wicked woman. However, I do want something fairly unconventional. Something different, and maybe a bit. . . you know. . . out there."

"Kind of like you?" Robin teased. Alice stuck her tongue out at her.

"Yes, kind of like me," Alice conceded. "Oh, I've got an idea! How about we each come up with one name for each letter of the alphabet. Then, we'll narrow down our choices each day until there are only two names left. A first name and a middle name."

"That's a great idea!" Robin exclaimed. "Let me get a notepad so we can write the names down, and then I'll start."

Once she got back with the notepad, she clicked her pen and wrote down their first A name. "Okay, how about. . . Alecia?"

Alice nodded, and added, "My A name's going to be Anita."

Robin wrote down both names, and said, "Okay. . . hmm. . . B. . . how about. . . Beatrice?"

Alice made a face, and Robin added, "Well, we can cross it off the list. I just couldn't think of any other names that start with B."

"How about. . . Belle? After Rumple's wife?" Alice suggested, after thinking for a moment.

"Belle. . . I like that. I think that one's a keeper for sure," Robin agreed. "Okay. I think there's an obvious choice for C."

Alice looked at her funny, and Robin quickly elaborated. "Cora. After my grandmother. She did some horrible things, but in the end, when it really counted, she got my mom and aunt to act like sisters again. She earned her redemption."

Alice smiled. "I like that. Okay. . . how about. . . Cecilia? After a friend I made in Wonderland."

"Okay, Cecilia. Now. . . D. . ." Robin had to think about it for a minute, before eventually settling on Darla, even though she knew it would be crossed off soon.

"I'm going to go with. . . Delilah," Alice suggested. "I've always liked that name."

"Okay. . . Now, E's going to be a bit tricky," Robin remarked. "How about. . . Emily?"

"Alright. I like Emily," Alice agreed. "And, for my name I pick. . .Elsie."

"Elsie? Like the Borden cow?" Robin laughed, and Alice giggled a bit.

"Like you said. We can always cross it off first. Besides, I think it's kind of cute," Alice giggled.

"Yeah, if you're a cow," Robin smirked, and Alice smacked her arm playfully.

"Hey, you already said E was hard," Alice whined. "Stop teasing me."

"Alright, alright. For F, how about. . . Faith?" Robin said, attempting to steer them back on track.

"Aww. . . Faith. I like that a lot," Alice commented. "Okay. . . for our other name. . . how about. . . Felicity?"

"Alright. Felicity. And then. . . for G. . . how bout Grace?" Robin added, moving the conversation along.

"Alright. G. . . I like. . . umm. . . Gretel?" Alice asked, waiting for Robin to scoff at the name. And boy, did she scoff.

"Gretel?" Robin repeated incredulously. "Eww. Her brother was a serial killer, remember? He tried to kill my mom."

"Well, what would you prefer, Gertrude?" Alice asked. "There are very few good G names for girls."

"I don't know, but anything's better than Gretel," Robin fought. "How about. . . I don't know. . . Geranium?"

"Robin. Love," Alice looked deep into Robin's eyes and shook her. Hard. "I may be part nymph, but I would never be so cruel as to name our daughter Geranium."

"I know, but naming her Gretel's almost as bad as naming her Gothel."

Instantly, the mood in the room changed. Their conversation stopped being so light-hearted and fun.

"Oh, Alice, I'm sorry," Robin apologized. "I didn't mean to insinuate anything. We'd never name her Gothel. Never. She was a horrible woman, and our child will be nothing like her."

"What if you're wrong?" Alice asked. "She is part Gothel, after all. What if she takes after her grandmother?"

"Listen to me," Robin's voice was firm, but not angry. "That woman is not your mother. She might have given birth to you. . ."

Robin paused momentarily.

"Did she give birth to you?" Robin asked. "Or, did she just. . . I dunno. . . snap her fingers and you appeared?"

"I'm not quite sure," Alice confessed. "I think she just used magic, but I can't be certain. Anyways, it doesn't matter. What were you saying?"

"Oh. Right," Robin continued. "You might have her genes, but that's it. She left you locked in that tower. Okay? She is not your mother. As far as I'm concerned, you don't even have a mother. The only thing that matters is that you and your papa are wonderful people, and our child will be just like you two. Now. Should we just skip one of the G names?"

"Yes. Let's just move on to H," Alice agreed gratefully.

"Okay. . . how about. . . Heather?" Robin asked, and the two resumed their playful banter over the name.

A few moments after Alice finished picking apart all the reasons they would not name their daughter Heather, Robin asked, "Well. Do you have a better H name?"

"How about. . . Helga?" Alice suggested, then blushed. "Oh, no. That's horrid. Well. . . maybe. . . Harper?"

"Harper? You're right. That's way better than Heather," Robin agreed. "Okay then. On to I."

"That's going to be tough," Alice said, and Robin nodded.

"What about Iris?" Robin suggested, and Alice stared at her.

"Iris?" she repeated incredulously. "We've been at this for an hour, and the best you can come up with is Iris?"

"Well, I'd like to see you come up with something better," Robin challenged her.

"What about Ivy?" Alice suggested.

"Once again, you've proven your superior naming skills," Robin sighed. "Okay. On to J. . . how about Jessica?"

"I like Jessica. For my name, I'm thinking Julia," Alice added.

"Okay. Jessica and Julia," Robin jotted down the names, then said, "Alright. . . K. . . What about Kaylie?"

"Yeah, Kaylie's good," Alice accepted. "And how about. . . Kenzie?"

"Kenzie? That's a new one," Robin remarked. "But I don't hate it. Alright. L. . . What about Leanne?"

"Yeah. I think that's cute," Alice replied. "And for mine. . . how about Leah?"

"Oh, I like that a lot actually," Robin agreed. "Now, for M. I was thinking Maria."

"Yeah. Maria's cute. But I don't think you're going to like my M name. . ." Alice trailed off uncertainly.

"Oh, come on. Most of your names have been better anyway. How bad could it be?" Robin had no idea what name Alice was thinking of.

"Well. I was thinking Marian," Robin tried to interject, but Alice cut her off. "No. Just hear me out. First off, it's a really cute name. And second, without Marian, you wouldn't even exist. Plus, from what I've heard, she was a very good person, and more than worthy of having our baby named after her. So, yeah, I think that Marian is definitely a contestant for a good baby name."

"Oh, Alice, I'm not mad," Robin countered. "I think Marian's a good name for our daughter. She was a wonderful person, and she was a good wife to my dad."

"Alright. Then it's settled. Marian and Maria."

Robin wrote down the names, then began to think of N names.

"So, I'm thinking Natalie for N," Robin gave her input. "What do you think?"

"Yeah, I think Natalie's cute," Alice acknowledged. "But I'm thinking Naomi."

"Well, I'd say N was a success. Now for O," Robin had to think for a bit about O names. "What about Olivia?"

"Absolutely. I think you're going to have the upper hand here because all I can think of is Octavia," Alice shook her head. "But we've got to have two names, so let's go with Olivia and Octavia."

"Okay. Now for P. . ." Robin chewed on the end of her pen, thinking. "Pansy?"

"Why are you so intent on naming our daughter after a flower?" Alice inquired jokingly.

"I dunno, there's just a lot of girl names that are flowers," Robin explained.

"Well, don't you think naming her after a flower's a bit weird in this case?"

"Why? I think it's cute," Robin argued. "What've you got against flowers?"

"Nothing. I just don't want anything about her name to be associated with Gothel," Alice explained, looking ashamed.

"Hey. That's okay. If you're not comfortable naming her after a flower, then we won't," Robin replied. "What were you thinking for P?"

"Mmm. . . Paisley," Alice said, grateful to once again be steered away from talking about her mother.

She stood suddenly, startling Robin, who was on her feet the second Alice was.

"What is it? What's wrong?" she asked worriedly, putting her hand on Alice's shoulder.

"It's nothing. I just have to pee," she explained.

She walked into the bathroom, and Robin sat back down, looking at the ultrasound picture once more. She mentally kicked herself for not realizing sooner how big of a problem Gothel was going to be in this child's life. She hadn't realized that Alice still thought about Gothel so much, but clearly, Robin had been wrong not to.

Alice came back into the room, and Robin forced herself to concentrate on the task at hand.

"Alright, so we finished P. Now for Q," Robin said. "What about. . . Quincy?"

"I like it, but I'm not sure it's a girl's name," Alice commented. "But it'll work. I was thinking Quinn."

"Well, I'm not sure that's a girl's name either, but I'll take it," Robin stated. "Now, for R, I was thinking Rosy."

"I thought we agreed no more flowers?" Alice asked.

"I know, but that's not a flower. It's more like an adjective," Robin defended.

"Well, I suppose it's alright," Alice conceded. "I was thinking of Rosanna."

"Oh, that's really cute. Now, for S, I'll have to go with Sofia," Robin continued.

"Aww, that's adorable!" Alice gushed. "But I was thinking Skylar."

"Alright, Skylar's cute. Now for T. . ."

"Ooh! I've got a good one!" Alice exclaimed. "But you go first."

"What about Taylor?" Robin suggested.

"Yeah, I like that. But I think we should go with Tiera," Alice argued.

"Tiera? Like tiara?" Robin asked skeptically.

"Yeah. I think it's cute," Alice defended.

"Mmm, I don't know. Maybe it'll grow on me," Robin replied, still sounding skeptical. "Now for U. . . Uma?"

"I mean, it's not ideal, but it's better than my U name," Alice said.

"Why? What's yours?" Robin inquired curiously.

"Uriah," Alice answered, blushing a bit. "U's are hard."

"Yeah. Lucky for me, V's easy. Victoria," Robin scribbled down the name on her notepad.

"Okay. . . What about. . . Valentina?" Alice suggested.

"Aww. . . That's cute. Did you know it means brave in Spanish?" Robin asked.

"No, I didn't. But that makes it an even better name," Alice said.

"Alright, now for W. . ." Robin trailed off, chewing on her pen thoughtfully. "Maybe. . . Wanda?"

"I guess it'll have to do," Alice sighed. "There aren't many good W names, are there?"

"I know. Just give it your best shot. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with," Robin encouraged.

"Oh, I don't know. . . Wilma?" Alice suggested. "I know it's no good, but it's all I've got."

"Okay. Wilma," Robin wrote it down, then thought for a moment, singing the alphabet song in her head. "X is next."

"How about we just skip X?" Alice suggested. "I think it'd be a bit too difficult to come up with a baby name that starts with X."

"Alright. Y then," Robin said. "What about. . . Yolanda?"

"Yolanda?" Alice asked incredulously.

"Well, I'd like to see you do better," Robin challenged.

"I can't," Alice admitted. "All I've got is Yasmine."

"Alright," Robin said. "Y is definitely a flop."

Alice looked at her strangely, and she quickly explained herself.

"It means it was a failure," she explained. "It didn't go well."

Alice nodded, and said, "Yeah. One last letter and we're done.

"Yeah. Z. Maybe. . . Zoey?" Robin suggested.

"Zoey's good," Alice agreed. "I can't think of anything other than Zelena."

"Well. . ." Robin trailed off. "I'll write it down. We can always cross it off later."

"Your mum would love it if we named the baby after her," Alice pointed out. "But I don't think Papa would be thrilled about it. . ."

"No, he wouldn't," Robin agreed. Suddenly, her stomach growled. "I'm starving. You hungry, love?"

"Well, now that you mention it, I could eat," Alice said.

Robin glanced at her watch and laughed.

"Well no wonder," she chuckled. "It's seven o'clock. What do you want me to make for dinner, babe?"

Robin wasn't as good at cooking as Alice, but she tried to make dinner at least once a week, just to prepare herself for when Alice would be too pregnant to be bothered with making dinner.

"Come to think of it," Alice began, looking a little sheepish. "There's nothing the little one wants now more than a big piece of Granny's lasagna."

"Oh the baby wants Granny's, does she?" Robin asked good naturedly.

"I think so," Alice replied uncertainly. "I've never wanted a piece of frozen lasagna so much in my life, so I think it must be the baby."

"Alrighty then. Granny's it is," Robin agreed. "Let me just grab my coat, and we'll head out."

Alice left the apartment, and Robin picked up the scrapbook, smiling down at her daughter.

"I love you," she whispered. She left the apartment, still smiling. She thought she might be smiling for the next seven months. Maybe even longer.
