AN: There's something about my Owl House stories that you've all probably figured out by now, but I'd still like to make it clear anyways. My stories take place in an alternate version of the show following the events of season one, mainly due to the fact that I started writing my chapter stories before more information on season two was revealed. However, despite this, I'm still going to work some elements from season two into my stories going forward, but not all of them, as some are a bit difficult to implement. But regardless of what I do and don't feature in my stories, I hope you'll continue to support them. Now, with that out of the way, let's get this story started.

It was a fine night in the Boiling Isles, and Luz, who somehow always managed to get herself in trouble, had done just that, and was sitting on the floor of some location in the outskirts of Bonesborough all tied up, and was telling a story to someone.

"So in the end, my lifelong school tormentor, who turned out to be a demon princess, battled the demon who usurped her grandparents and won thanks to her venomous bite, and saved all the demons in her homeland from extinction", Luz said, "now she's living the life of royalty with her grandparents."

She was telling the story to a pair of Emperor's Coven members, who were both amazed by it.

"Man, it feels great telling stories about my adventures in the Demon Realm to other people", Luz said, "especially people who are so interested in them."

"Do you have any other stories", one of the coven members asked.

"Well, let's see", Luz said, "there's..."

"What's going on here", a voice asked.

The two coven members turned around and saw Emperor Belos' spy standing behind them.

"What have I told you about interacting with those we've captured", the spy asked.

"That we're not supposed to", the other coven member said.

"That's right", the spy said, "now step aside."

The coven members moved aside, and the spy walked over to Luz.

"Well, well, if it isn't Luz Noceda the human", the spy said, "we meet at last."

"And you are", Luz asked.

"Allow me to properly introduce myself", the spy said, "I am the Golden Guard."

"The Golden Guard", Luz asked.

"That's right", the Golden Guard said, "genius teen prodigy, leader of the Emperor's Coven following the betrayal of Lilith Clawthorne, and right-hand man to Emperor Belos."

"Uh-huh", Luz said, "are you his son?"

"No", the Golden Guard said, "that would be weird."

"It's weirder if you're not his son", Luz said.

"What's your point", the Golden Guard asked.

"Does it matter", Luz asked.

"Yes", the Golden Guard said, "because..."

The Golden Guard suddenly stopped and became very frustrated.

"Oh, just shut your trap already", the Golden Guard said, "I'm not falling victim to this little game of yours."

"Aw, come on", Luz said, "we were just starting to have some fun."

Frustrated, the Golden Guard used his staff to fire a blast of magic in front of Luz's feet.

"We'll see how much fun you're having when I bring you to Emperor Belos", the Golden Guard said.

"This again", Luz said, "why does the man want me so bad?"

"I don't know", the Golden Guard said, "but whatever his reason, it must be really important."

Luz was a little surprised to hear the Golden Guard say that.

"Hold on", Luz said, "you're Belos' right-hand man, and he hasn't told you anything about what he wants me for?"

"Not really", the Golden Guard said, "he prefers to keep that information to himself for some reason."

"That's strange", Luz said.

"But I'm sure I'll find out why he's so interested in you once I bring you to him", the Golden Guard said, "come on, let's go."

The two coven members picked up Luz, but she had other ideas.

"I'm sorry Golden Guard, but I'm afraid I won't be joining you tonight", Luz said.

"And what pray tell makes you think that", the Golden Guard asked.

Then, four figures jumped up out of nowhere behind the Golden Guard, and he turned around to find that they were Eda, King, Amity, and Lilith.

"My friends are here for me", Luz said.

Then, she used a fire glyph she had hidden in her pocket to burn away the rope she had been tied up with.

"Well, well, if it isn't the Clawthorne sisters", the Golden Guard said, "and..."

The Golden Guard was having trouble remembering King's name.

"I'm sorry, who are you again", the Golden Guard asked.

"You don't know who I am", King asked, "I am the all-powerful King of Demons!"

"King of Demons, huh", the Golden Guard asked, "whatever you say."

Then, he noticed Amity.

"Ah, yes", the Golden Guard said, "also here is the human's lover, Amity Blight."

Amity didn't like being called her former adoptive name.

"I'm not a Blight, and I never was", Amity said, "I am a Clawthorne!"

"But she's not just a Clawthorne", Eda said, "she's also my daughter."

"Oh yeah, that's right", the Golden Guard said, "somehow you managed to get married and give birth to her."

"That's right", Eda said, "and now, we're going to take you down as a family."

Eda and Lilith summoned their staffs, Luz got out some glyphs, Amity got in position to cast some abomination magic, and King threw two punches and a kick only to fall down.

"So what do you say, gold face", Luz said, "you ready to throw down?"

Then, the Golden Guard began to chuckle.

"What's so funny", Luz asked.

"Oh, nothing", the Golden Guard said, "just the fact that you thought I didn't see this coming."

The Golden Guard shot a blast of magic up into the sky, and that signaled a bunch of other Emperor's Coven members to come out from all kinds of different hiding places and surround Luz and her friends.

"Is this gonna be too much for you", the Golden Guard asked.

"Not at all", Luz said.

"In fact", Eda said, "it'll be just enough."

"Alright, then", the Golden Guard said, "get 'em, boys!"

The coven members ran towards Luz and the others to attack them.

"Okay, guys", Luz said, "let's do this!"

The five Owl House residents began to engage the coven members, and soon the battle was underway, with Eda happily using her magic to take on several of them.

"Yeah, baby", Eda said, "I feel so alive!"

"Don't get carried away, Edalyn", Lilith said.

Lilith then used her magic to flip a coven member's cape over his head and toss him aside.

"I don't want you to have all the fun", Lilith said.

"You got it, Lily", Eda said.

Meanwhile, Amity had summoned an abomination and was commanding it to attack coven members, and while it was occupied doing so, some other members ran up to it to try and attack it by jumping on it, but they ended up getting stuck in it, and the abomination responded by removing them from its body and tossing them aside.

"Well, so much for that idea", a coven member said.

Nearby, King performing kung fu poses in an attempt to strike fear in a coven member, but the coven member instead found it to be cute.

"Oh my gosh, that's so cute", the coven member said.

"This isn't supposed to be cute", King said, "you should be afraid of me!"

"Aww", the coven member said, "even his rantings are adorable."

While the coven member was distracted by King, Luz snuck up behind him, put a fire glyph on his cape, tapped it, and then tapped on the coven member's shoulder, and when he turned around, he was shocked to find that his cape was on fire.

"Fire", the coven member said, "help, I'm on fire!"

The coven member then ran away with his cape still on fire.

"Thanks for distracting him, King", Luz said.

"I wasn't trying to distract him", King said, "I had him all under control."

"If you say so", Luz said.

As the fight went on, the Golden Guard, who had chosen to stay out of the action, watched the scene take place.

"This isn't going to get us anywhere", the Golden Guard said, "looks like I'll have to come up with something else."

Then, King, who had tried to take on a coven member, flew through the air and landed at the Golden Guard's feet.

"I know you cheated", King shouted.

The Golden Guard looked down at King and got an idea.

"I'll beat you this time", King said, "just you wait!"

King began to run back into the fight, but the Golden Guard picked him up.

"Hey", King said, "put me down!"

"I'm afraid I can't do that", the Golden Guard asked, "you see, there's something I need your help with."

The Golden Guard proceeded to pull out a knife and then addressed everyone fighting.

"Everybody stop", the Golden Guard shouted.

Everyone stopped fighting, and Luz, Eda, Amity, and Lilith saw the Golden Guard holding King while holding the knife to his throat.

"Okay, here's how it's gonna go", the Golden Guard said, "either the human surrenders peacefully and comes with me to the Emperor's Castle, or the little demon gets it."

Luz was shocked by the Golden Guard's threat.

"Don't do it, Luz", King said.

"What do we do", Eda asked.

Luz began to feel a little conflicted by the difficult choice she had been presented with, but at last, she came to a decision.

"There's only one thing I can do, Eda", Luz said.

Luz turned to the Golden Guard.

"Golden Guard", Luz said, "I..."

But before she could finish talking, she sound of music being played on a violin filled the air.

"Hey, what's going on", Luz asked.

"Where's that music coming from", Amity asked.

Then, some mysterious force pulled King out of the Golden Guard's hand, and the latter was able to figure out what it was.

"Bard magic", the Golden Guard said.

At that moment, a new song began to play, and the Golden Guard suddenly found himself being magically lifted up by his cape.

"Hey, what are you doing", the Golden Guard said, "put me down!"

The coven members were all spooked by what was happening.

"Let's get out of here", one of them said.

"Don't have to tell me twice", another one said.

The coven members all wasted no time running away in fear.

"Cowards", the Golden Guard said.

The Golden Guard then suddenly found himself getting hung on a lamppost by his cape.

"Now what's happening", the Golden Guard asked.

The violin music that had been playing began to get more and more intense, and the Golden Guard saw that his cape was being stretched out due to him being magically pulled back, and he was able to figure out what was happening.

"Uh oh", the Golden Guard said.

At last, the violin music came to an end, and the Golden Guard was released and sent flying into the air.

"We'll meet again, human", the Golden Guard shouted.

Luz and the others watched as the Golden Guard flew off into the distance.

"Well, that takes care of him", Luz said.

"Yes", Lilith said, "but who was the one playing the violin and casting bard magic?"

As everybody wondered about it, King noticed a mysterious witch on a bridge who was wearing a bat mask and holding a violin.

"Maybe it was that witch over there", King said.

"Where", Eda asked.

"Over there", King said, "on the..."

King then saw that the witch wasn't there anymore.

"Where'd they go", King asked.

"Are you sure you saw a witch", Amity asked, "it could've just been a tree or something like that."

"I'm sure I saw something", King said.

"It doesn't matter", Lilith said, "let's just go home and get some rest."

"Good idea, Lilith", Luz said, "all that excitement sure wore me out."

"It's crazy how this happened while you were doing something so simple", King said.

"Yeah" Eda said, "we only asked you to go out and get some milk."

"Hey, it's not my fault someone from the Emperor's Coven was grocery shopping at the same store as me", Luz said.

"Trouble just follows you everywhere you go, doesn't it", Amity said, "but then again, I guess that's part of your charm."

Luz blushed at her girlfriend's comment.

"Well, I guess we can always get some milk tomorrow", Eda said, "let's get going before the Golden Guard and those goons decide to come back."

And with that, Luz and her friends continued to walk back to the Owl House for a good night's rest, completely unaware of what would be taking place in the coming days.
