A/N- Hi guys! I know I haven't been posting nearly as often as I said I would, but I've been in kind of a creative rut recently, so I haven't been posting anything. Anyway, there's a chapter now, and I promise, I do intend to finish this story at some point in the near future. Enjoy!

"Robin?" Alice asked quietly, rolling over to face her wife. "Robin?"

"Mm?" Robin mumbled sleepily. "What's wrong?"

"I know it's late, but do you think you could get me some Cheetos? Oh, and blueberries and marmalade, please," Alice requested sweetly.

Robin peeked one eye open to peer curiously at her wife.

"Could you repeat that please?" Robin asked. "Because it sounded like you were asking me for blueberries at three in the morning in the middle of February."

"Please?" Alice whined, sticking out her bottom lip. "I have a craving, and I don't think I'll be able to sleep."

"Fine," Robin sighed. "Let me run to the grocery store, and I'll see what I can do."

And so, Robin found herself in the produce section of her local 24/7 grocery store at three-thirty in the morning, hopelessly scanning the shelves for any signs of the blueberries Alice had requested. At last, she found them, on the very top shelf of the display she was looking at. They were small and shriveled, but the way Robin saw it, there wasn't much she could do about it.

She then proceeded to checkout with her Cheetos (puffs and crunchy, as she'd forgotten to ask which kind Alice would prefer) and her blueberries. She made her purchases and began the short walk home, upset with herself for not putting on a coat instead of a bathrobe on top of her thin flannel pajamas.

When she got home, she found Alice wrapped in a blanket, sitting at the kitchen table, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her early-morning snack.

Triumphantly, Robin laid her purchases on the table.

"Ta-da!" she exclaimed. "One perfectly purchased four A.M snack, at your service."

Guiltily, Alice asked, "You didn't, perchance, happen to pick up some marmalade, did you?"

Immediately, Robin's sense of triumph deflated like a popped balloon.

"Aw, shoot," she moaned. "I knew there was something I forgot. Hang tight, Alice. I'll be right back."

She started to jog towards the door, but Alice stopped her with a gentle hand on her arm.

"It's okay," she said. "Don't worry about it. You can pick up some marmalade tomorrow. I'll survive without it for tonight."

While the part of Robin who didn't want to go running through the snow at four in the morning believed Alice, the chivalrous part of Robin who knew her wife very well could hear the slight tinge of disappointment in Alice's voice.

"No, really," Robin insisted. "It's okay. I'll be right back."

With that, Robin grabbed her coat and headed to the grocery store for the second time that night.

When Robin reached the check-out with her jar of marmalade, the man at the counter quirked an eyebrow at her questioningly, remembering that she'd been in his store a mere half hour ago. Feeling slightly defensive, Robin felt the need to explain herself.

"My wife's pregnant, and she's been having late-night cravings," Robin explained. "She asked for Cheetos, blueberries, and marmalade- three of her favorite foods- but I forgot the marmalade. She told me I didn't have to come back for it, but I felt bad for forgetting it, so here I am."

The clerk gave her a sympathetic nod.

"When my wife was pregnant with our first son, she craved Klondike bars at all hours of the day," he divulged. "The grocery stores around here were never open, so I learned to pick some up in advance. You might want to buy some extras."

"Thanks," Robin smiled. "You're probably right. I'll be right back."

She jogged down the aisle to grab more supplies, then checked out and headed out the door with her purchases.

When Robin got home, she found Alice asleep, her head resting on the table. Had anyone else put her through an ordeal like this only to fall asleep before it was complete, Robin would have shaken them awake. This, however, was Alice, and Robin could only find it in her heart to good-naturedly roll her eyes. Then, she gently lifted Alice out of the seat. Her wife snuggled into her chest, and Robin smiled at how adorable it was.

"Sorry, love," Alice mumbled. "I fell asleep waiting for you."

"That's okay," Robin replied lovingly. "You need your sleep. It's good for the baby."

With that, Robin kicked the bedroom door shut behind them and tucked her wife into bed.

A/N- So, how was it? I know it's being released on a weird day, but I wanted to go ahead and get it out to you guys. I'll try to post another chapter on Friday, but it would really help speed up the process if you'd leave prompts. If you can't think of anything specific, that's fine, even one word is often enough to get a whole one-shot out of me. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it. If you did, please leave a review. Thank you, and have a blessed day, loves!
