Two in a row today to start things off. Don't expect this to be a trend.

The Rising of the Holy Saint: I

A 14 year old Izuku Midoriya was kneeling by his bedside in prayer. He was praying that he, though he was quirkless, would be able to become a hero as he always dreamed. He prayed with all his heart to whatever god would listen before going to bed. That night, he had a peaceful and restful sleep. He awoke in the morning feeling refreshed. He stretched his arms and yawned cutely in a higher pitched voice, which was accompanied by the clinking of metal. He froze at the sound of his voice and the clinking of metal. He looked down to see a sizable chest that clearly belonged on the body of a healthy young girl. He, now she, noticed that, instead of her pajamas, she was now dressed in a dark purple battle dress with plate armor around her stomach and hips. She also had metal gauntlets on her arms that went up to her elbows. She wore thigh high socks of the same color as her battle dress and black boots with metal plate armor and heels. At that moment, she noticed the metal headdress she had on and her long golden blond hair which was tied into a long braid. She also took notice of the sheeved sword at her hip and flag by her side. Taking all of this in, she did the only sensible thing she could do.

"KYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" She screamed.

A few moments later…

Inko Midoriya could only stare dumbfounded due to what she just heard from the blond-haired girl who sat in front of her. Said girl was fidgeting in her seat and blushing so much her whole face had turned red like a tomato. Inko could swear she saw steam rising from her head.

"Okay, so let me get this straight. You say that you're my son Izuku." Inko stated.

"… Yes." The girl replied.

"Who not only somehow turned into a girl overnight, but turned into 'THE' Joan of Arc." Inko continued.

"Well… my name would be Jeanne D'arc, Joan of Arc is what the English called me… but yes." The girl replied.

There was a long moment of silence before Inko let out a troubled sigh.

"I'd swear this is all crazy and ridiculous but as one says, 'Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth'." Inko noted. "Given your scream…"

Jeanne's blush somehow intensified.

"Combined with the fact Izuku's room shows no sign of being broken into; and that you were in his bed; and that if you did break in you wouldn't just sleep in his bed when he would have been in it; and even assume someone did kidnap him, the previous point still stands." Inko noted. "As such, no matter how hard it is to believe, you must be telling the truth when you say you're Izuku."

"You believe me?" Jeanne asked hopefully.

"As crazy as this sounds, this doesn't make much sense otherwise." Inko answered. "Though some proof would be good to have, Just to be safe. What was your favorite game to play when you were four?"

"Oh… Rescue hero, I'd play All Might in my cute little All Might onesie and you'd play the damsel in distress." Jeanne answered with a bright smile.

"MY BABY!" Inko exclaimed as she leapt forward.

"EEEEEH!" Jeanne squeaked as Inko tackled her to the ground in a hug.

One month later…

Jeanne merrily made her way to school, now dressed in a girl's Aldera Junior High School uniform. After one month of sorting through her sudden transformation, mainly on the legal side of things, she was finally ready to return to school. Despite now not liking school, mainly general studies, and being embarrassed at the fact that, despite technically aging up, her education level hadn't changed due to the original Jeanne not being literate. She was more happy at the fact that her life was returning to something equating normal.

She hummed along happily as she entered the school building earning a vast amount of confused looks from her fellow students. As she neared her classroom, she had to suppress a giggle due to what she was about to do. She grabbed hold of the door handle and slid it open.

"Bonjour à tous!" She greeted everyone with a bright smile.

She was met with looks of surprise and great confusion from the other students. Though, none of them noticed their homeroom teacher trying his best to not burst out laughing.

"It's great to be back and see you all again." She added in perfect Japanese as she made her way inside and to her seat.

The students were even more confused and dumbfounded now. Not only was this girl, who was clearly a foreigner, acting like she had always been in their class, but she also spoke Japanese as though she were a native. Their collective confusion rose even more when she sat in the seat of the long since absent Izuku Midoriya. After several seconds of silence, an ashen blond boy named Katsuki Bakugo decided to voice what everyone was essentially thinking.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU SITTING THEIR?!" He roared.

Jeanne tilted her head in fake confusion.

"What do you mean, this is my seat." She stated.

"THE HELL?! THAT'S DEKU'S SEAT!" Katsuki shouted.

"That's what I said." Jeanne said with a straight face.

"No, you said that was your seat!" He pointed out.

"Yes." She replied.

"But that's Deku's seat!" He reiterated.

"Yes." She replied.

"THEN WHY ARE YOU SITTING THERE YOU DAMN GAIJIN?!" Katsuki shouted.

"Cause as you said, it's my seat." She answered.

Katsuki grounded his teeth in seething rage. Everyone else in the class could only stare at her in confusion, except for one.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Their teacher cackled in a fit of uproarious laughter.

Katsuki's rage faded into confusion as his along with the other student's gaze shifted to their homeroom teacher. It took a whole minute of non-stop laughing for him to calm down.

"Haa… man that was worth it." He noted.

"Are you gonna explain what's going on?!" Katsuki again voiced what everyone was thinking.

"It's as Midoriya said, that's her seat." He stated.

"What do you…" Katsuki began before stopping.

His along with everyone else's mind took a few seconds to finally process what their teacher just said.

"EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" They classroom exclaimed.

Their heads snapped to Jeanne who waved at them politely with a smile on her face before snapping back to their teacher. Katsuki's shocked gaze lingered on Jeanne however. He couldn't help but stare as his former friend had turned from a weak lanky boy into a near divinely beautiful woman. Their teacher chuckled.

"Mind reintroducing yourself to the class Midoriya?" He inquired.

"Not at all sir." Jeanne replied as she rose from her seat.

All eyes followed her movement.

"Allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Jeanne D'arc Midoriya, formerly known as Izuku Midoirya." She stated. "As for how I became like this… well…"

Her smile fell as she let out an annoyed, frustrated sigh.

"We still don't know." She expressed.

"WHAT?!" The entire class exclaimed.

"How can you not know?!" One girl exclaimed.

"I just don't okay!" She whined. "I literally woke up like this a month ago and my mom and I have been trying to figure it out since. We've gone to God knows how many doctors and specialists and we still have no idea what happened."

"But…" Another student spoke up.

"Alright, that's enough students you can play 20 questions with Midoriya later." The teacher interrupted.

"I-I-I'm actually fine with answering some…" Jeanne began.

"No can do Midoriya. We have to start class soon so sit down." The teacher ordered.

"Mmmmmmmmmmm…" Jeanne whined as she complied with her teacher's orders.

And thus, the day continued on. News of Izuku's transformation into Jeanne quickly spread like wildfire through the student body. While the students did their best to pay attention to class, many could not help but look over to the newly transformed Midoriya. Questions for the girl gnawing at them, begging to be answered. Unfortunately, they'd have to wait til lunch to ask her. It was through this they noticed a number of key differences between how she was as Izuku and how she is now as Jeanne.

Difference number one, Jeanne held herself with a self-confidence that Izuku never had. Even more confusing was that she seemed to have an almost holy, saintly aura to her. Difference number two, Izuku was now overall much more cheerful and positive. She still retained some of her previous quietness, but they could tell it was no longer from shyness. It was during their observation of all this that they noticed difference number three. Jeanne now seemed to loath school work of virtually any kind. It was subtle but not unnoticeable. Her soft smile would fall into a frown. She would noticeably be struggling to hold back a groan many times. Then finally, lunch came around.

"Alright Deku, spill it, how did this happen?" Katsuki demanded.

Jeanne sighed.

"First off Kacchan, I don't think it makes much sense to call me Deku seeing as my name is Jeanne now. And second, I told you I don't know what happened." She replied as she got out her lunch.

"Oh come on, how can you not know?" A girl asked.

"I just don't ok." She replied with a sigh. "I quite literally woke up like this one morning for no rhyme or reason. Barring an act of God answering my prayer to be a hero when I was still Izuku, I literally have no idea why this happened."

Katsuki snorted.

"That makes sense, it would take a miracle for a quirkless loser like you to be a hero." He retorted.

Jeanne merely gave him a knowing smile.

"I think you'll find out you may not be far off given what else my transformation gave me." She answered.

"What do you mean?" One guy asked.

"You'll just have to wait for gym class." Jeanne answered.

Later…

The entire class had their collective jaws practically hit the floor. It was gym class currently and Jeanne had yet to do the standard physical exam because of her transformation. As such she was doing it now. At first no one suspected much, though the girl's had an inkling that things would not be what they seemed when they noticed Jeanne's toned and incredibly fit body. Their first real clue that something was up when the teacher said they could take a free day for gym since, quote, "Jeanne's exam would take the rest of the class." Their next clue was when some students heard the teacher telling Jeanne to hold back because, quote, "the school isn't designed to handle her max power and she'll have to wait till UA to go all out." Their final clue was the reality that Jeanne had blown past records set by students who have natural enhancement quirks that could not be turned off.

They were now watching her continue to run laps for the endurance test. The only reason she had to stop was because class was ending. They could only stand there and stare as Jeanne went to get change, showing not even a hint of exhaustion. Katsuki was again the first to react.

"WAIT THE HELL UP DEKU! YOU'VE GOT SOME EXPLAINING TO DO!" He roared as he charged after her.

The other students merely watched as he did so.

"Alright enough gapping, go get changed, you've got other classes to get to." The teacher stated.

As this was happening, Jeanne had stopped and turned around to face Katsuki.

"Oh… hey Kacchan." She greeted with a smile.

"DON'T HEY KACCHAN ME! HOW THE HELL DID YOU BECOME ALL MIGHT 2.0!" He shouted as zoomed right up to her face.

He let loose small explosions for intimidation.

"Simple, much like my transformation, I woke up this way." Jeanne answered with a smile, having not been intimidated in the least.

"DOES EVERYTHING GO BACK TO YOU TRANSFORMING INTO A HOT CHICK!" Katsuki roared.

"Yes…" She answered with a smile.

She then realized something. Did he just call me hot? She blushed as she realized he had. Katsuki was now looking at her in confusion.

"Why's your face so red?" He asked.

"N-n-n-n-n-NOTHINNNNNNNNNNNNG!" She screamed as she ran away.

Katsuki was even more confused. Until he realized he had called her hot. A touch of red adored his face.

"I'm going to get changed and pretend this didn't happen." He stated before rushing off.

Unfortunately for them, this exchange was noticed by the majority of the classmates. It didn't take long for the rumor mill to get to work. By the end of the day Katsuki was seething in rage and Jeanne was blushing up a storm due to the rumored crush they had on each other.

Months later…

It was the day of the UA and Jeanne was confident and ready. The months leading up were rather uneventful. Her Junior High life continued on relatively normally. The only problem was the rumors of her and Katsuki having a crush grew into them being in a scandalous secret relationship, much to their mutual displeasure. It didn't help that they had trouble looking each other in the eye since the incident. It is for this reason that both Jeanne and Katsuki could only stare forward awkwardly as they were sitting right next to each other due to the seating arrangement. Luckily for them, a distraction would come from the presentation starting.

"Alright everybody!" The voice familiar to many exclaimed in English.

The spotlights zeroed in on the Pro-hero giving the presentation, Present Mic.

"It's time to get things started, can I get a YEAH!" He shouted.

He was met with silence. The silence continued for a few awkward seconds.

"Keeping it mellow then. That's cool. I can work with that." He continued. "Now listen up listeners. I'm gonna give you the rundown on how things are gonna go in the practical exam. ARE YOU READY!?"

He was again met with silence. The silence again continued for a few awkward seconds.

"This is how the test is gonna go." Mic continued. "You'll be doing a ten minute long mock urban battle. After the presentation you'll be heading out to your assigned battle areas. You'll be able to bring along whatever you want, okay?"

No one replied, instead they looked to see what assigned areas they were in. Jeanne looked at her own and saw that she was in Battle Center B. She looked over at Katsuki's and saw he was in Battle Center A.

"OKAY?!" Mic exclaimed.

"I see, they want to split people up so that you can't team up with people you might know." Jeanne noted in a hush tone.

"Yeah, I noticed that too. Also don't look at my card." Katsuki hissed.

Jeanne tilted her head in confusion.

"But you looked at mine." She pointed out.

However Katsuki didn't hear this because there was only one thing screaming in his head. AAAHHHHH SHE'S TOO CUTE. WHY DOES DEKU HAVE TO BE CUTE? WHY DO I FIND HER CUTE AND HOT AND… GAAAAAAAAH! His face turned red and he forced himself to look forward.

Jeane was confused by this until it dawned on her. Did… did he just blush? Did he just blush because of me? WHY IS HE BLUSHING BECAUSE OF ME?! Her face progressively got redder as she thought this. She quickly also forced herself to look forward. The other students noticed this and snickered.

"Each site will have three faux villains you can defeat for points." Mic stated as three robot looking figures appeared on the screen behind him.

One figure had '1P' above it, a second had '2P' above it, and a third had '3P' above it.

"Points are awarded based on their respective difficulty levels. Your goal, listeners, is to use your quirks to immobilize them in order to earn points." Mic explained. "Obviously, attacking your fellow examinees or any other unheroic action is prohibited."

"May I ask a question?!" A boy with short blue hair shouted as he stood up and raised his hand.

"Go ahead." Mic replied.

"There are four villains on the print out, not three! If this is a misprint then a school as prominent as UA should be ashamed of itself! We examinees are here to be molded into exemplary heroes!" He declared.

"Nice catch examinee 7111. I was about to go over that." Mic returned. "The fourth faux-villain is worth a total of zero points. It's an obstacle that's not really worth defeating even if you might be able to. In short, I recommend avoiding it."

"Thank you very much!" The boy replied with a bow. "Please excuse my interruption!"

"Alright folks, that's all for me!" Mic stated. "Good luck out there and remember our school motto. Go beyond, PLUS ULTRA!"

Later, Battle Center B…

Jeanne stepped off the bus that had transported the students to the battle center. She wore light purple short shorts and a light grey tank top. While she could have called forth and worn her normal battle wear, she thought it better to save that for her hero outfit. As such she is now wearing her normal work out clothing, which had to be specially designed to handle her power output. She called forth her holy flag, Luminosité Eternelle, as she walked towards the gate. As she did, she noticed a girl with shoulder length brown hair in a bob-cut nearby. She could tell the other girl was clearly nervous. With a kind smile she went up to her. She avoided the blue-haired boy's attempt to stop her and placed a hand on her shoulder, causing the other girl to jump up in surprise. She turned to face Jeanne.

"Sorry to startle you there. I saw you were letting the nerves get to you. I know this is a big moment but you can't let yourself get overwhelmed or it'll affect your performance." Jeanne expressed. "Just take a deep breath and calm down, I'm sure you'll do fine."

The brown hair girl just stared at Jeanne for a moment before doing as she said. Taking deep breaths in and breathing them out several times. As she did she felt her nerves die down.

"Better?" Jeanne asked.

"Yeah, thanks for that." The girl replied with a smile.

"That's good to hear." Jeanne stated as she took her hand off the girl's shoulder. "Even though we are competing with one another, as fellow examinees in pursuit of heroism we shouldn't let that stop us from helping others."

"Huh… I guess you're right. It would be very unheroic to just ignore others in favor of yourself." The girl noted. "Oh… sorry I haven't introduced myself, I'm Ochako Uraraka.

"Jeanne D'arc Midoriya. Feel free to call me Jeanne." Jeanne returned.

"Then call me Ochako. And thanks again, this means a lot to me so it's really nerve racking." Ochako stated.

"Understandable, this is a big day for all of us. Just remember to keep your eyes on the prize without ignoring what's around you. After all, you never know what will come your way." Jeanne explained.

"START!" Mic shouted.

"Like that. LET'S GO!" She shouted as she charged in, her flag raised high as if to rally everyone.

"Huh?" Ochako exclaimed.

She looked back between where Mic was shouting from and Jeanne before quickly following her. Everyone else just stared in confusion.

"What are you waiting for?! There's no count down in a real fight, get moving!" Mic shouted.

A look of realization dawned on the faces of the other examinees before they rushed in after the two girls.

In the observation room…

Many teachers were gathered to watch the examinees battle for one of 36 slots in the hero course.

"It seems we have quite a good crop this year." One teacher, the Pro-hero Midnight noted.

"Indeed." Nezu, the principle who was a talking bear, mouse, and dog hybrid, noted. "Be it through mobility, information gathering, pure combat prowess, the ability to remain calm under pressure, or a combination of all of them, many of the examinees are showing a great deal of potential."

"Though one examinee in particular stands out." The Pro-hero Ectoplasm pointed out.

The other teachers turned their gaze to the screen he was looking at. It showed Jeanne effortlessly tearing through faux villains with a calm determined look. Despite her laser focus on her task, she would still stop to help other examinees. Another thing noticeable was how she almost knew where the faux villains were.

"Ah yes, I remember being very interested in her when she had applied." Nezu noted. "Jeanne D'arc Midoriya She's quite the mystery. Once a boy named Izuku Midoriya, she suddenly changed into what we see today overnight. No explanation for the event was found."

"Jeanne D'arc… where have I heard that name before?" One teacher asked.

"It's the same name as the French saint who fought in the Hundred Years War. You might know her better as Joan of Arc." Nezu answered. "Another part of her mystery."

"Well what do you say we test this mystery with a real challenge." An older teacher stated as he pressed a red button.

At all of the battle centers the giant of a machine that is the zero pointer rose up, towering over the buildings. The examinees fled from the mechanical monster in all battle centers. In Jeanne's battle center it had let loose a terribly powerful punch that had kicked up dust, destroyed buildings, and caused large debris to fall on the ground. It was a true insurmountable menace. It was then toppled when a large piece of debris was flung at it at high speeds by Jeanne. It had crashed into its head causing it to fall backwards. The girl had acted immediately when she saw Ochako trapped under some fallen rubble. She rushed to her side, removed the rubble, chucked it at the robot, and got the girl to safety all with quick efficiency. The teacher could only stare owlishly at the anticlimactic way the zero pointer was defeated.

"Dibs." Shota Aizawa, a tired looking man with long black hair known as the Pro-hero Erasurehead, spoke up.
