A/N- Hey, guys! Guess what? My dad tested positive for COVID-19, so I'm confined to the house for a week! Yay me. But, this is good news for you guys, because I'll have plenty of time to write! Anyway, here's the next installment. Enjoy!

"Hey, Alice?" Robin called, entering the living room and snagging her notepad and pen off the end table.

"Yes, love?" Alice replied, setting down the strange, lopsided multicolored blanket that she's been knitting for the baby.

"Since we've got a free afternoon," Robin began, slightly nervous that her hormonal six and a half months pregnant wife might burst into tears. "I was thinking that we could work on writing up a birth plan. Is that okay with you?"

"Sure," Alice replied, setting aside her knitting. "But I'm not sure why we have to write a plan. It's fairly obvious what we're going to do."

"Well right, obviously we're going to go to the hospital and you're going to deliver the baby, but there are some details we need to work out. Like, are you going to deliver naturally or get a C-section? Are you going to want pain relief or go all natural? Do you want an epidural? Do you. . ." Robin paused her rant when she saw the strange look Alice was giving her. "What?"

"Love, I'm not delivering in a hospital," Alice stated as though it should have been obvious.

"What!?" Robin exclaimed.

"Robin, I thought that was implied." Alice gave her wife an incredulous look. "After all, you know how much I hate hospitals."

"Well, you can't have the baby here!" Robin argued.

"Sure I can," Alice responded calmly. "Lots of women do it. A lot of the books I've read have even gone so far as to say it's better for the baby, since the mother tends to be more relaxed in the comfort of her own-"

"You've been reading books!? How is this the first time you've mentioned this to me?" Robin cried.

"Well love, I thought you knew me well enough to assume that I wouldn't want to give birth in a hospital," Alice said curiously. "How is this the first time you've thought about this?"

"I'm sorry, I must have just assumed that you would make decisions about the birth with our daughter's best interests in mind!" Robin fired back, instantly regretting it as she saw the tears filling her pregnant wife's eyes. "Oh, hey, Alice, I didn't mean-"

"No, I think you did," Alice cut her off. "It's obvious that you don't think I love this baby as much as you do!"

And with that, little Alice burst in loud, hiccupy sobs, effectively ending the argument.

"Alice, love, I didn't mean it like that," Robin soothed, pulling Alice into as tight an embrace as she could manage with Alice's rapidly expanding baby bump between them. "What I meant was that I'm concerned about the potential safety risks to you and the baby if you deliver here."

"But Robin," Alice sniffled. "I've done the research, and I can give birth here just as safely as I could at the hospital, as long as we find a licensed midwife. Love, this is not a decision I entered into lightly, trust me."

"Alice, what if there are complications?" Robin argued. "You, our daughter, or possibly both of you could die if something were to go wrong! And besides. I thought you wanted Dr. Singer to deliver our baby?"

"Love, that was never the plan," Alice responded, unable to suppress a giggle at the huge misunderstanding, despite the gravity of the situation. "I want Dr. Singer to look after me and the baby before and after she's born, but I want a midwife to deliver baby Mills here."

"What if I make you a deal?" Robin suggested. "You can labor here before your water breaks, and then, I'll take you to the hospital, okay?"

"No!" Alice insisted. "I'm going to deliver here, and you can't change my mind!"

"Fine," Robin sighed. "What about a compromise?"

"I'm listening. . ." Alice replied tentatively.

"You'll deliver here," Robin began. "But if, and only if, we can find a midwife with magic."

"Why?" Alice inquired curiously.

"Because of my second term," Robin continued. "If anything goes wrong, anything at all, you'll let the midwife whisk you straight to the hospital. Okay?"

Alice opened her mouth to argue, but Robin held up a finger to stop her.

"Ah-ah-ah," Robin interjected. "It's either this, or I take you to the hospital the second you start your first contraction. Kapesh?"

"Okay," Alice sighed. "But only because I'm sure nothing will go wrong!"

"Whatever your reasoning, it works for me!" Robin replied gratefully. "Now. What would you like for dinner?"

"Oh, Robin, it's my turn to make dinner," Alice smiled.

"Nonsense," Robin waved the idea away like an annoying insect. "I can see how swollen your feet are from here. You've done enough. Now, it's my turn to take care of you. So, what do my two favorite girls want to eat?"

"Mmm. . . Spaghetti!" Alice announced. "With syrup, pop tarts, and-"

"Let me guess," Robin interrupted. "Marmalade?"

Alice nodded sheepishly.

"Well, I am but a humble genie in a bottle," Robin said with a grand bow. "Mistress mine, your wish is my command!"

"Oh, and how many wishes do I get?" Alice asked, an unmistakable glint in her eye.

"As many as you want, my darling," Robin replied, the same barely masked desire in her voice.

"Well, then after dinner, I may have you grant a few of those wishes," Alice purred.

"After dinner?" Robin pouted. "Why not now?"

"Because, unfortunately," Alice sighed. "I'm eating for two. And your daughters very hungry."

"My daughter?" Robin gasped, putting a hand to her chest in mock offense.

"Our daughter," Alice corrected with a smile. "And now that you've mentioned it, she really wants that marmalade-syrup-spaghetti."

"Aye-aye, cap'n!" Robin mock saluted, then turned stiffly and marched into the kitchen.

"Mommy's very silly, isn't she?" Alice cooed, caressing her belly softly. "That's okay, we wouldn't have it any other way."

Baby Mills gave a firm kick, and Alice relaxed against the back of the couch, content to be with her two favorite people in the world.

A/N- So, how was that? I know it was a little rushed, but I wanted to get it out today. Anyway, if you liked it, or didn't like it, be sure to leave a helpful review. Also, be sure to vote on a name for the baby- Tiera Rose or Cecilia Belle? Thank you for reading, and have a blessed day, loves!
