Sapphires and Emeralds
This is a story that goes back to the beginning of the show but with a few twists. This is purely Korrasami. No Makorra and no Masami either. The other two twists are Korra being raised and trained by the Red Lotus as well as Asami secretly being an agent for the Red Lotus. Overtime, they'll forsake the Red Lotus and eventually become a couple.

The world had gone mad. Five year old Avatar Korra had been kidnapped and the White Lotus quickly set to looking for her. They quickly deduced that only a team of highly skilled people could pull off such a task of sneaking into the home of the Avatar and her parents, Tonraq and Senna, undetected and making off with the young girl as she slept.
A small team had indeed pulled off the kidnapping. The team was comprised of two young men and two young women. They were non-bender Zaheer, armless waterbender, Ming-Hua, earthbender and lavabender Ghazan, and firebender and combustionbender P'li.
Over time at a hidden facility in the Earth Kingdom, Korra was trained waterbending, earthbending, and firebending, as well as healing, bloodbending, lavabending, lightningbending and combustionbending. By seventeen, she'd mastered the skills of those elements. While he himself wasn't a bender but had a deep admiration for the culture, Zaheer taught Korra to airbend, but she still was unable to bend it. Her uncle Unalaq had taught her about the spiritual side of bending over the years as well.
One day while Korra was meditating early in the morning, Zaheer approached her. She opened her eyes and saw him so she stood up. "Hello, Zaheer."
He bowed in respect. "Hello, Korra."
"Are we training more today?"
He shook his head. "I'm here with an assignment for you."
Korra was intrigued. "And what is it?"
"Our agent in Republic City has informed us of a growing divide between benders and non-benders. I and the others agree that this must be ended. I could think of nobody better than the Avatar for this task."
"If it'll bring the world closer to balance, then I accept this task."
Zaheer nodded with a small smile. "Once you reach the city, find a girl named Asami Sato and speak with her."
Korra nodded then went to her room then went to get her polar bear dog, Naga then the two met with Zaheer and his friends.
"Try not to get yourself killed when you get there, kid." Ming-Hua teased.
Korra smirked at her. "No promises, Ming."
Ghazan smirked as well. "She's definitely been around us too much." He said.
Korra laughed then turned to Zaheer. "Do I need a false identity?"
He shook his head. "After you meet with Asami, travel to Air Temple Island and inform Tenzin that your kidnappers were killed when you were 12 but you were still taught waterbending, earthbending, and firebending and need to master airbending."
Korra nodded.
"Maybe not being here will help her get over this block of hers." P'li said.
Zaheer nodded as well. "Asami has arranged for an airship to bring you five miles outside of Republic City. From there, you'll travel into the city and travel to the Sato estate to meet with Asami. She's assured us that her father won't be there for the day."
Korra nodded then headed outside to see the airship was waiting for her then she and Naga got onboard then flew to Republic City.
As agreed upon, the ship landed five miles outside the city then Korra and Naga got off. Not having much luggage to worry about, Korra climbed into Naga's saddle. It was in the afternoon so she had plenty of time to locate this Asami. While Naga walked towards the city, Korra was letting her hair down from its ponytail, perhaps to keep from being recognized until she was ready to tell the world the Avatar was back.
When they arrived in the city, Korra looked at a woman nearby. "Excuse me?" She said, getting the woman to look at her. "Could you tell me how I get to the Sato estate from here? I'm new to the city."
The woman nodded and gave Korra directions to the estate.
Korra thanked the woman then urged Naga to run to the estate.
Upon arrival, Korra was amazed at the size of the estate. She and Naga walked up to the main house of the estate then Korra hopped down and knocked on the door. A man greeted her and after looking at him, Korra deemed him no threat.
"May I help you, ma'am?" He asked.
"I'm here to see Asami Sato." The Avatar replied.
He nodded. "You must be Miss Sato's guest. Please come in. I'll inform her you've arrived."
Korra nodded then walked in while Naga waited outside. The butler walked upstairs and a few minutes later, Asami arrived, but Korra was speechless when she saw her. A lone young woman who looked at least a year older came into view. She was about three inches taller with wavy raven black hair to her shoulders and beautiful light green eyes. Her outfit's colors were black and red.
"Welcome, Avatar Korra." Asami said as she walked to the Avatar. "I'm Asami Sato. Why don't we talk outside?"
Korra lightly shook herself from how mesmerized she was at the sight of Asami then nodded and the two walked outside. Naga looked at the two as they stepped outside.
"Zaheer said things here are not going well." Korra said.
Asami nodded. "Many of the nonbenders of the city have joined a group called the Equalists. They intend to bring down the benders of Republic City. I'm worried for my home."
"I'll help in anyway I can, Asami." The Avatar said.
Asami smiled softly. "Have you been told where you are to go after this?"
Korra nodded. "Air Temple Island. I still need to learn to airbend. Zaheer taught me the basics, but I still can't bend. Hopefully Master Tenzin can help me get over this block."
Asami nodded. "I won't keep you, then. You'll always be welcome to my home. And if you need, I can get you an apartment in the city."
Korra nodded then bowed in respect. "Thank you. And I'd happily take an apartment in the city." She said as Asami bowed back.
After that, Korra and Naga headed back to the city to try and find a way to Air Temple Island.
