It has been five years since that fateful night. Perseus has grown, he stands at four feet six inches tall, and he is an athletic child. But there is one thing Sally doesn't understand, and it's the fact that every time he gets mad, a massive storm hits. Another thing is when she caught him chewing on an electrical cord, he seemed more energetic and playful. Today is the last day of school for Perseus, and when she picked up Perseus from school, she saw him talking to his gym teacher. She walked up to them, and Perseus said, "Mom, my gym teacher asked me if I wanted one on one training sessions with her. She noticed that I am more athletic than the other students. I really want to do it."

Sally looked at him and she looked at the gym teacher and said, "Well, sweetie, I have to talk to her about it. Why don't you go wait in the car, ok?" Perseus goes and sits in the car, and the two women go to the gym teacher's office to talk. They reach the office and sit down.

The gym teacher folds her hands and looks at Sally. "Ms. Jackson, I am sure you have noticed some strange things about your adopted son." She says.

Sally looks at her suspiciously. "Yes, I have, but what does that have anything to do with this?" She said.

The other woman looks at Sally. "Everything. His birth parents are immortal. Young Perseus is the immortal son of Thor and Sif, and he was sent here about a week or so after his birth. He was sent here because Ragnarok was falsely started. His mother is the Queen of the Valkyries, and she sent me, Sigrún, to watch over him from a distance. I was instructed to train him when he was old enough, and now he is." The now identified Sigrún said. Sally sat there in shock, and gripped the armrests of her seat.

"Do you have proof?" She asked quietly. Sigrún opens a drawer of her desk, and pulls out a strange disk like device and puts it on the table, pressed a button, and the image of two people with strange armor on appeared. One is a tall, broad shouldered man, with shoulder length blond hair, a long beard the same color as his hair, and electric blue eyes. The other is a woman a little shorter than the man, and she has long wavy blonde hair, and forest green eyes.

Sigrún looks at Sally and says, "This is a pre-recorded message before moments before Lady Sif sent me here." She said calmly.

The man speaks, "I am Thor, the God of Thunder and Strength. This is my wife, Sif and we are the parents of young Perseus, we sent him to you, hoping you would raise our son to be a decent man, and a strong, but humble warrior. We can not come to him, the magic of the Bifrost has been tampered with, and thus, can no longer see our son until he is old enough to make the journey on his own. In order for him to do so, he must be trained. We hope that one day we will be able to be reunited with our son. Show this to him when he is ready because after this is a private message to him."

Sigrún turns the device off, and sits back in her seat. Sally has tears going down her face, and she is silently sobbing for the loss her adopted son went through, and the fact that he won't be able to see his birth parents.

Sigrún looks at Sally with pity. "Sally, I know this is a lot to take in, but now you know who, and what he is, and why he turned up on your doorstep. If you want him to be reunited with his parents, and discover his strengths and weaknesses, as well as stay with you for as long as possible, you have to let me train him." She says soothingly. Sally stops crying and looks up determined.

"If that's his destiny, then I want him to be as prepared as possible." Sally says with a fire in her eyes, and passion in her voice. Sigrún nods and stands up.

"That's the spirit, now come, the training of the Prince of Asgard begins tonight." With that, the tale of our hero begins.

A/N: So what do you think of this chapter? I really like it, and hope I did a good job. I could use some suggestions on how the next chapter could go though. Rest assured, I have a destination in mind, but I could use a little help with describing his training over the next couple chapters.
