Perseus is now nine years old, and he is a great swordsman, though he prefers the great sword. Since his father is the God of strength, he is able to wield one with one hand. As of now, he is in a furious spar against Sigrún. Perseus dashes towards her, and does a jumping slash at her. Sigrún blocks with her shield, and counterattacks with her spear. Perseus jumps back dodging the attack, drops down and tries to sweep her legs. Sigrún jumps, and as she does, Perseus rolls back up to his feet. He gets into a ready stance, and analyses his opponent. Before he can act, Sigrún charges and stabs at him with her spear. He parry's, and slashes his great sword at her shield knocking it off of her arm. He kicks her back and spins behind her putting his blade against her neck.
"Do you yield?" Perseus asks. In response, Sigrún kicks backwards and knocks him on his back. His sword flies out of his hand and he feels the tip of Sigrùn's spear on his undefended chest. Perseus sighs in disappointment. Sigrún offers him a hand up, and he grabs it. She hauls him up, and brushes his sweaty hair out of his eyes.
"You are improving, Perseus, but there is still a lot of improvement needed. You may go rest now." Sigrún tells him. However, what she didn't tell him is that he is a swordsman on par with most Einharjar. She doesn't tell him this because she wants to keep him humble.
"Ok Sigrún, if you say so." Perseus says. He is feeling extremely tired, and wants to go to sleep. Perseus and Sally now live in an actual house. It is a blue two story house with an indoor swimming pool, a weight room, and a small weapons training arena surrounded by trees. Sigrún added these to the house with Asgardian magic. Perseus walks off to his room. The walls are sky blue, and his sheets and blankets are an electric blue. He trudges his way to bed after placing his great sword on his weapons rack. He falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow.
Flashback
Perseus has a dream of the first time he was told what he is. His mother, Sally Jackson, had approached him after he got home from his training with Sigrún and he was sore. "Percy, come here, I need to tell you something important." She said. He went to her, and sat down across from her.
"Ok, Mom, what's up? Is there something wrong?" Perseus asked worried and curious.
His mom pursed her lips and sighed. "I have to tell you how I came across you and what you really are." She said sadly, running a hand through her hair.
Perseus looked at her confused. "What do you mean?" He asked. Sally sighed again, and told him the entirety of what she knew from his appearance to what she learned from Sigrún. He looked at her in silence and shock the entire time.
"I know it's a lot to take in, believe me, I had the same expression on my face that you do. I want you to know that I still consider you my son, even if you are a god, and from a different realm." Sally starts to cry. Perseus wraps her in a hug.
"I still think of you as my mom, no matter what." Perseus says lovingly to her. Sally hugs him back and starts laughing in relief and joy.
"Ok, how about we go make some blue cookies in celebration?" Sally asked. Perseus looked at her with wide eyes.
"Yes please!" He says excitedly. The scene fades to black. It changes to his eighth birthday. It was a small celebration, just his mother, Sigrún, and Perseus himself. It was time for gifts. Perseus's mother hands him a box wrapped in Electric blue wrapping paper. Perseus takes it with gentle hands. He opens the box, and inside is a leather chord with a Mjolnir charm hanging from it.
Perseus looks up at her. "What is it, Mom?" Perseus asks curiously. He takes it into his hands and looks it over. It looks like a typical charm you would find in a Scandinavian gift shop.Sigrún takes one glance at it andimmediately knows what it is.
"It was around was around your neck when I found you," his mother explains, "I felt it time to return it to you." she finishes. Perseus looks at it in wonder and amazement. He hurriedly puts it around his neck. Next,Sigrún approaches with a bracer and a sheathed great sword. She kneels before him. She hands him the great sword first.
"This is made of Asgardian Steel, also called Uru. It is effective against both monsters and mortals ifnecessary. The same goes for the bracer, which is the magical concealed form of your shield. You can name the sword if you want. Most prominent weapons have names like Mjolnir for example."Sigrún explains.
Perseus looks it over. It is beautifully forged, Silver with runes on the hilt, with and a leather wrapped grip. It also has an electric blue core. He ponders for several moments. "Worldslayer." Scene fades to black.
