When the dust settled, the two combatants were deadlocked despite the size advantage of Alcyoneus. Perseus's sword clashed with the Giant's golden spear, and constant shaking happened as the two beings of immense strength pushed against each other. Eventually Alcyoneus got bored and irritated at this and kicked Perseus in the gut, sending the young Norse flying through the air and out the doors.
'That's going to leave a mark,' Perseus thought irritated as he controlled the wind to stop his forced flight. He regained his footing as Alcyoneus exited the building. Instead of charging at one another, this time they circle each other warily looking for weaknesses. Occasionally, lightning would flicker off of Perseus's body. Alcyoneus would go for a feint which Perseus would see through and counter with a quick blast of lightning or slash at the Giant's legs. Perseus is one hundred percent focused on the fight, allowing Alcyoneus to probe his thoughts.
"Ah, a Norseman! A son of Thor no less! I will enjoy beating you to a pulp, boy. But I will leave you alive while I kill everyone you care about and love, and let you hear them curse you as they die!" Alcyoneus taunts.
At this, Perseus got distracted enough to where his guard dropped just enough for Alcyoneus to take advantage and attack, pushing Perseus back. With every back step he had to take, the longer Alcyoneus taunts him, the angrier he got.
The sky darkened with massive thunderclouds and Perseus's eyes started glowing a bright electric blue, becoming pure orbs of light. A massive bolt of lightning comes from the heavens and strikes Perseus head on. When the dust cloud cleared, Perseus had lightning flickering from him constantly and he had a look of pure rage on his face. His aura exploded from him, increasing in power. The sky booms with thunder and crackles with lightning, a mighty storm forming above on par in strength to one Thor can conjure. Each boom of thunder caused a slight earthquake, knocking Alcyoneus off balance.
Elsewhere
The Norns and Fates were scrambling around, concerned on if they should interfere, but as they decide on a course of action, an ancient voice speaks to them and it oozes power and control.
"Let the Giant taste the true power and rage of the Son of Thor. Let the boy realize himself. Let him become the Destroyer and Savior he was born to be!"
The six weavers of Fate and Destiny bowed their heads in submission, "Yes, my lord. We understand."
Back on the Hubbard Glacier
Perseus stared down the Bane of Hades with wrath in his eyes, and speaks in an eerily calm voice.
"Say what you want about me, but never, never mention my family or loved ones. Now prepare to face the wrath of the Thunderer's son! I am Perseus Ødelegger* Thorson! And you will not see the end of this day!" He roars at the end.
Perseus brings down a massive bolt of lightning, decimating the horde of undead Roman legionairres the Giant summoned and the shockwave was enough to knock Alcyoneus off his feet.
Perseus extends his empty hand, and a chunk of metal flickering with lightning flew to him and merged with his blade. As Alcyoneus stood back up, he was knocked into the sky by a rage fuelled uppercut from Perseus that was charged with lightning. Perseus flew up after his enemy with speed that surprised Alcyoneus. Perseus punched the Giant in his torso/ribcage propelling him out of Alaska, and into Canada. With one final rage fuelled punch, Alcyoneus is sent flying towards the ground in a mountain valley and crashes into the ground with a BOOM! big enough to shake the ground furiously. Even in Canada, the thunderstorm that formed after Perseus got mad in Alaska was still overhead booming with thunder and flashing with lightning.
Perseus lands across from the Giant as said Giant works his way to his feet shakily. Alcyoneus could feel his broken ribs and see the rose gold oil around him from his broken body. He didn't even know what happened.
"What... are you? No godling of this Pantheon should have this much strength or power." The pretty much defeated Alcyoneus asked.
"I'm Norse." Is all the still enraged Perseus said. Alcyoneus barely had time to react before the massive blade of Perseus was pierced through his heart. Alcyoneus let out a strangled gasp, and his body began to dissolve and disintegrate, leaving behind a few bars of platinum and a handful of diamonds and other precious jewels.
The harsh glow in his eyes dissipated and his body stopped flickering with lightning. Perseus let go of his blade and returned to pendant form. He picks up the precious metals and places them in a bag for later, and returns to the glacier. He spends several hours giving the fallen Romans their proper funeral rights. He then approaches the Eagle Standard and picks it up. He can feel the power of Zeus, or rather Jupiter, flowing through the artifact. In a burst of lightning, Perseus vanishes from the glacier.
At Camp Jupiter
A young Jason Grace was just minding his own business, walking back from the Field of Mars to the Fifth Cohort Barracks from his afternoon group training session when dark clouds started rolling in from nowhere. They were crackling with lightning and thunder was booming loudly. He frowned, something must be upsetting his father, Lord Jupiter.
Suddenly, a massive bolt of lightning struck in the middle of the Field of Mars, creating a massive shockwave and dust cloud. When the dust settled, the gathered Romans couldn't believe their eyes, because standing where the bolt struck, was the Lost Standard of the Legion, in all its glory flickering with lightning.
The centurion of the First started chanting, "Praise be to Lord Jupiter!" And soon, 500 voices strong were carrying out the chant.
However, Jason caught sight of something strange. A man who had a muscular build and a light stubble with seemingly glowing electric blue eyes was flying just above the Standard, and his form was crackling with lightning. Just as Jason was going to say something, the man turned and flew off at incredible speeds. As Jason stood there in awe, he had no doubt in his mind that it was that mysterious man who returned the Eagle.
