Dianna lived in the man's world since the 1910's, since World War 1 but always went home whenever she could. She lived in the US for about 20 years before reaching the small town of Smallville, Kansas. Dianna thought it was funny that small was in the name of a small town. But she kept it to herself not wanting to offend anyone.
But she knew small towns like this had the best farmers markets around. And that's where she was today. In the Smallville's farmers market. It was late spring. A time where farmers markets usually start to pop up for the warmer weather.
She came across a stand with a sign that read 'Kent Farm organics' over head. There were a lot of signs like that. But Dianna knew this was a farming town. And the people who lived here lived off of the produce and knew where to look fo what they needed.
As she walked in someone bumped into her. She stumbled backwards a bit. Not an easy feet for a human to do to her.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." A voice said
Dianna looked to the owner of the voice. What she saw took her breath away. This boy. No man in front of her was very good looking. He had dark hair, blue eyes and a nice smile. The was wearing a plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a few buttons undone, jeans and sneakers.
Dianna could see a bit of chest hair on him. There was also the makings of a beard that made him look older then he was. He was also taller then her. By a foot at least. And she's 5' 11.
"Are you okay?" He asked
"I'm fine. Just caught off guard. Usually no one makes me stumble like that." She said
"I'm Clark Kent. Nice to meet you." Clark said extending his hand
"I'm Dianna Prince." She said taking his hand
Clark heard her accent. And it sounded Greek with a splash of British. It wasn't like his mother's accent. Barely any Greek sounds came out of her. It was only when she cursed she said something in Greek.
"Are you passing through or staying?" Clark asked
"I'm not sure. Originally I planned on just passing though but more and more time I spend here, I want to move here." Dianna said
Clark and Dianna kept looking into each others eyes. They couldn't look away from the other. Clark wanted to kiss the woman in front of him. And Dianna wanted to kiss Clark.
"I know this is all of a sudden. But do you want to go out with me?" Clark asked Dianna
"Yes. I would love to. Pick me up at 7 at the only motel in town. I'm in room 8." Dianna said without hesitation
She then walked away. When she was out of view Clark ran to his parents.
"Son what's wrong?" Jonathan asked
Clark took a breath and composed himself before answering his father.
"I got myself a date." Clark said
"With who? Lana? Chloe?" Martha asked
"No, it's not with Lana. And it's not with Chloe either. Those two are like sisters to me. This girl, Dianna, she doesn't know if she is staying or just passing. But she agreed to go on a date with me." Clark said
"Well, I'm happy for you. I know you've been busy with Persephone and your other responsibilities." Martha said
Clark smiled and looked down a little. To him this was a little embarrassing. But he did need this. He needed to get out more. But it was hard for him. He was a single father with only his parents for help. Soon it was time to go home.
Clark helped his father load the truck bed as Martha tended to her grandchild. As the truck was being loaded Lana and Chloe ran up to their friend to buy some last minute apples for a few apple pies they were making.
Clark gave them the last create of apples he had on hand. And he told them that he expected a pie. They gave him the money knowing he would get into trouble if he just gave away the apples and a promise to bring the pie over.
And as soon as the three Kent's got home, Clark hopped out helped his dad unload the truck. Some of the produce they had would go into the house so they all could live.
"Dad, where should I take Dianna on the date?" Clark asked nervously
Clark's hands twitched by his sides. This action showed Jonathan just how nervous his son really was. This amused the elder of the two Kent's quite a bit. And it was understandable. This was Clark's first ever date. Especially after becoming a father.
And being a first time father, especially to a baby girl, is nerve wracking. A single father to a girl changes a man. The man usually starts to think his daughter is his only girl in his life. After his mother of course.
"You nervous, son?" Jonathan asked in a knowing tone
"Is it that obvious?" Clark asked
Jonathan laughed and shook his head.
"Being nervous is normal. Take her up to Metropolis, to the American Bistro for dinner that's where I took your mother to propose and get her dessert. Got it." Jonathan said
"Yes sir." Clark said nodding
Jonathan gave Clark some money for the meal before said Kryptononian walked into the house and spent a little time with his daughter before he had to get ready. Persephone loved spending time with her father.
Clark hoped that Dianna will accept that he has a daughter. Soon it was 6 o'clock. Time for Clark to get ready. He knew he needed to shave his face. So while Clark took a shower he shaved his face. After the shower, Clark Kent's it on the best clothes he had. He put on a little Cologne too.
Clark walked down the stairs to see his parents waiting for him.
"Why are you two waiting for me?" Clark asked
Jonathan tossed him the truck keys. Clark catches them with ease.
"You'll need some transportation." Jonathan said
"Thanks dad." Clark said smiling
Martha hugs Clark as tight as she could. And she was pretty strong. Clark hugged her back. But he had to held back knowing he was stronger then her.
"Have fun. And don't worry about Persephone. We got her." Martha said
Martha released her son. Clark drove to the motel. He walked up to his room. After a minute, and a big sigh, he knocked on the door. Dianna opened the door.
Clark felt his member twitch. Dianna looked like a model in what she was wearing.
"Dianna you look good." Clark said
"Thank you Clark. You don't look to bad yourself." Dianna said
Clark lead Dianna to the truck. He opened the door for her. Clark wanted to keep dating Dianna for a long time. And he knew one way was to be a gentleman to her.
On the way to the restaurant Clark and Dianna talked. They learned a lot about each other. Clark was relieved that Dianna didn't care that Clark had a daughter. And she said that she hopes to meet the little girl soon.
They soon reach the restaurant. The sign read 'American Bistro' over head. Dianna caught a whiff of the food. To her it smelled divine. And made her hungry too.
Clark again opened the truck door for Dianna and lead her into the restaurant. The date the went good. Dianna and Clark enjoyed each other's company.
