They entered the living room. They saw Dianna sitting on one of the couches. She was talking to Hades. Hades heard them enter. He then looked to them.
"Hello Niece." Hades said smoothly
He stood up and walked a little to the girls. It was like he wanted a better view of them then from his seat. Persephone walked back to her husband.
"Uncle, I don't have the bolt." Percy said standing as straight as she could being the good girl she was taught to be
She tried with all her might to be strong in front of a person who could kill her in a blink of an eye. Dianna saw fear in her daughter's eye and heard it in her voice. But Percy did everything she was taught.
What Percy said made Hades angry. There was a shuffle and the shield that Luke gave them and Annabeth held got knocked out of her hands. The helm of the shield cracked open. There was a glow coming from it.
Hades went over to it. He opened the helm the rest of the way up. He pulled out something. He turned to reveal the lightening bolt. There was a look on his face that was a mixture of joy and awe.
"You're right niece. You didn't have it. But she did." Hades said pointing to Annabeth
"Luke Castellan set me up. Set us up." Annabeth said trying to defend herself
They watched as the elder of the two Persephone's kiss Hades and take the bolt away from him.
"Alright give it back." Hades said jokingly thinking it was a a prank or a joke
And the next thing she did zapped Hades with the bolt. She then handed the girls the bolt with determination on her face.
"Take it. Stop the gods from fighting each other." She said
"What's in it for you?" Percy asked with a strong tone and a fierce questioning look in her sea green eyes
She knew better. She had grown up with Oliver Queen and Bruce Wayne as her uncles. So she knew people who do things for others want something in return. Bruce and Oliver taught her how to run a business and make deals.
"I keep my allotted time away from this hell hole. I really don't want to be stuck with Hades down here forever. He is an abusive, cruel bastard." Persephone said
Percy gave Annabeth, Piper and Dianna the marbles and told them to think of Olympus. When the stepped on them they went to the outlook platform of the Empire State Building in New York City.
Percy was confused about this. Dianna knew what to do as she used this entrance to Olympus before for when she had to meet up with the council. But before they could go to the entrance however, they encountered Luke. While they were fighting him, he revealed why he stole the bolt.
He wanted the demigods to rule in their parents place. After the fight Dianna took the three girls to the godly elevator and took it to the last floor on the panel. The 600th floor.
And unlike mortals, Dianna was aloud to go through the barrier separating the gods world and the mortal world and all the way up to the gods throne room. When they reached the top, all four of them ran down the path to the room where they would meet the gods to give back the listening bolt to Zeus.
When they reached the throne room they saw all of the gods (minus Hades who is probably still out cold) yelling around each other. But the girls knew it would be worse if it was the summer solstice.
"Hey!" Dianna yelled to get the gods attention
Everyone looked to the new comers. Zeus walked to them and knelt as he did not want to leave his giant form. Percy threw the bolt to her uncle. When he grabbed it, it grew in size.
"You've made a good choice thief." Zeus said
"I didn't steal your bolt. Luke Castellan did. He wanted you to fight amongst yourselves, probably get killed in the process, so your children could rule and be gods." Percy said
"That makes sense. The children of Hermes all throughout time have felt like that. Luke was the only one stupid enough and brave enough to do something about it. And to frame someone else for the crime." Athena, Annabeth's mom, said
Percy finally understood why she was the goddess of wisdom.
"You're absolutely right Athena. Let there be peace amongst us. My niece, you are free to go." Zeus said standing up and walking to another room.
The rest of the gods soon followed. But Poseidon stopped his brother before he fully left. He asked to talk to Percy. He granted the request because Zeus now believes Percy is his favorite niece.
"We'll wait for you outside." Piper said
Dianna, Piper and Annabeth left Percy alone with her real father. Poseidon resized himself to the height of a normal man. Percy didn't really want to be here with Poseidon. She wanted to be somewhere else.
She wanted to punch The Joker in the face in Gotham City with Bruce. Go to her favorite high end restaurant in Central City with Barry. Practice her martial arts with Dinah in Star City. Go to an art gallery in Metropolis her dad. Go to the Smithsonian museum in Washington DC with everyone.
Anything but be here. Percy wanted to use the tricks she learned from Giovanni "John" Zatara. He found that Percy had a certain talent for magic. Especially water magic. Arthur even taught Percy Atlantean magic because of that.
And while Dianna was waiting for her daughter, she called Clark. The plan was for him to fly over to Gotham, borrow one of Bruce's cars and drove it up to New York to pick them up.
"I'm sorry that I didn't do anything for your mother." Poseidon said
"The only family I know is the Kent's and Dianna. Dianna is the only mother I know." Percy said
Percy looked to her feet then back to her father.
"I know I have failed you. Can you ever forgive me?" Poseidon asked
"I don't know. I spent too much time with people who don't forgive all that easy and hold grudges for awhile. They kind of rubbed off on me in that department." Percy said
"I can understand that. I'll do anything to prove to you that I am worthy of your forgiveness." Poseidon said
"Can you visit me like Ares, Hestia and Hera do?" Percy asked
"I can try. But Zeus knows about you so he will be watching me like a hawk." Poseidon said
"Okay. I have to go." Percy said
Poseidon nodded and left himself. But before they left Poseidon turned back to his daughter.
"Arthur, the king of Atlantis is your brother." Poseidon said
Percy nodded and walked out of the door behind her. She walked up to the three who were waiting for her.
"Let's go." Percy said
The group of four heads to the elevator. Dianna couldn't help but look at her daughter. Percy's eyes held no emotion. She obviously knew that Percy hadn't forgiven Poseidon just yet.
As they left the building, Dianna held Percy back to talk.
"Baby are you okay?" Dianna asked hugging Percy
"I don't know momma. I just want daddy." Percy said hugging her mother back
Dianna could tell Percy really wanted Clark. He was the only one who knew how to clam her down.
"Okay let's go." Dianna said releasing the girl in front of her
The two girls caught up to Piper and Annabeth. Dianna saw that Percy was on her phone texting someone. She had an idea on who was on the other end. Clark was a paranoid bastard when it came to his little girl.
Especially when Percy tells Clark everything that happens in her life. Well everyone on the league was paranoid when it came to Percy. She was like their own little girl. And they would see harm to anyone who hurt her.
And that includes the gods. When the four girls go to the sidewalk, they found Clark waiting there with a car.
"DADDY!" Percy yelled
She ran into her fathers awaiting arms. Percy felt safe in Clark Kent's strong arms. Piper and Annabeth saw how their friend acted with her adoptive father. It wasn't like their relationships with their fathers.
Annabeth hadn't talked to her father since she ran away from home at seven because her stepmother hated her for being another woman's daughter.
And Tristan McLean is in California and has to send his daughter to a camp based in New York each and every summer since she was twelve. Life for Piper and Annabeth are not easy at all.
