Arnold:
You have every right to be mad, Helga.
I-I don't know what made me do that.
I'm so sorry. I'm SO sorry.
Helga:
C-Can you kiss me again?
Arnold looks astonished.
Please?
Arnold slowly approaches Helga.
He looks at her for a bit and finally builds courage to lean in and kiss her again.
It wasn't long after for him to back away.
Arnold looks very nervous.
Helga looks at him.
Helga:
One more kiss, please, Arnold.
This time Arnold blushes. He gets closer to Helga and kisses her again , but a bit longer than the first two.
After the kiss, they look at each other with tears in their eyes.
I'm scared, Arnold.
There's always something happening.
I wanna go home—I wanna go back to your place.
Now.
Without a reply back, Arnold looks determined to bring Helga back to his house.
He grabs Helga's hand and begins to run.
Once they arrive to his boarding house, he sees Stella and Miles parking the car.
They immediately get out the car to hug Arnold.
Stella and Miles:
Arnold!
Stella:
Where have you been??
Both of you!
We've been looking everywhere.
Helga takes out her phone in her pocket and sees that Phoebe sent a message about Stella and Miles being awake .
Helga looks up at Stella and Miles.
Arnold:
Me and Helga just came from the movie theaters. We know it's really late and it's a school night, but we chose to go anyways.
I'm sorry, mom, dad.
Stella and Miles looks at each other and then back at Arnold.
They hug Arnold again.
Miles:
It's okay, son. We forgive you.
Stella:
Your both okay and that's what matters.
Now let's get inside!
Stella and Miles get behind the children and pushes them inside the boarding house.
Miles closes the door and then turns to Arnold, who is running up the stairs with Helga in front of him.
Miles:
Not so fast, son.
There's something me and your mother would like to discuss with you.
Arnold turns around to face Miles and Stella.
He goes down the stairs and looks back at Helga.
Arnold:
I'll be up there. Go get some rest for me, Helga.
Helga nods to Arnold and rushes upstairs to his room.
Arnold follows Stella and Miles in the kitchen.
They sit at the table.
Stella and Miles stare at Arnold.
Arnold:
What's wrong? Is this about me sneaking out?
Look, I'm really sorry—
Stella:
No. This is about something else that me and your father been thinking about ever since we found out what happened last year with your old school, P.S. 118.
Arnold:
You mean you guys know about what happened?
Miles:
Yes, Arnold and we're planning on going back to San Lorenzo this weekend.
You're coming with us.
Arnold:
What?! W-We just got back here, dad. It's not even a week yet.
Stella:
We are doing this for your own good and Phil and Gertie are no longer alive to watch you here.
Hillwood is not the same. This neighborhood is not the same. It's too dangerous for anyone to stay here.
I wish your friends well, but we have got to go back to San Lorenzo.
Miles:
And you will attend a new high school there.
Then after high school, it's college time!
Arnold:
We're staying in San Lorenzo even when I get to college??
I know Hillwood is not the same, but I still have my friends here.
What am I supposed to say to them?
They expect me to stay here with them.
Stella:
Well, you could just tell them the truth or...just not tell them at all.
Arnold looks down. He thinks for a moment.
Arnold:
I...I can't tell them. At least not all of them...
————————————————————
Arnold walks upstairs and enters his room.
He sees Phoebe resting in her sleeping bag on the floor as Helga is resting peacefully on his bed.
He smiles at her, but it quickly fades away after remembering what he must tell her , but cannot.
Arnold falls asleep on his remote controlled couch.
Not really sleeping, Helga opens one eye and then both of them.
She turns away from Arnold's bookshelf and looks at him resting on his couch.
She smiles at him and then closes her eyes again.
————————————————————-
Morning arrives for school.
Arnold, Helga, and Phoebe take turns freshening up in the bathroom and getting dressed.
Arnold and Helga avoid eye contact and conversation.
They exit the boarding house and run to catch the bus.
They enter the bus and pay their fees.
Together, Arnold, Helga, and Phoebe pauses at the almost empty bus.
Rhonda and 6 other boys and one girl is on the bus.
Bus driver:
Move your butts, kids.
Sit down!
Arnold, Phoebe, and Helga sit down at their seats.
Rhonda turns to them with a huge smile on her face.
Rhonda:
How did you sleep, Arnold and Phoebe?
It's such a beautiful day for me to go shopping after school.
Phoebe:
We slept okay...
Arnold:
Yeah... Rhonda, what's keeping you so happy?
What happened at school yesterday was horrible.
Rhonda:
Believe me, I'm still not over what happened to Patty.
That girl is in a better place now.
There's more to life.
There's so much to look forward to.
Just forget what passed already.
Arnold:
I see.
Helga:
I slept okay, too, Princess.
Rhonda:
Whatever.
(To Phoebe)
Phoebe, how about you come walk with me to my house today after school?
Phoebe:
Me? Why, that's nice of you, but why?
Rhonda:
Because I have some clothes at my house that would fit you just nicely.
And you need my clothes since...
Rhonda looks at Phoebe up and down .
You have very...unique fashion sense.
Phoebe:
Wow, Rhonda. Thank you.
I'll be sure to remember to meet up with you after school.
Rhonda:
Great!
Rhonda turns back around as she quickly starts to text on her phone.
Arnold:
Something doesn't seem right about this.
Just yesterday, I noticed that most of the girls in the school weren't there.
Helga:
You got that right, football head.
There's hardly anybody for me to push on the seats.
Phoebe:
The absence of students will surely show once we walk into school.
Arnold:
Wait...Gerald did mention that there has been many kidnappings of girls around here.
Could that be the reason—
Helga:
Oh, right!
No one ever tried something like that with me before, which is why I forgotten about the kidnappings.
If they did, they'll have to deal with ol Betsy and the five avengers.
Helga looks down at her fists and smiles at them.
Arnold turns to Phoebe.
Arnold:
Are you sure you want to walk with Rhonda today?
Do you need me and Helga to come along with you?
Phoebe:
I think me and Rhonda will be fine.
I know she carries pepper spray with her, which is something I need to look into.
The kids arrive to P.S. 119's High school . They get off the bus and walk into the building.
There inside are flowers everywhere with Patty's picture to remember her.
Hours pass and it was soon enough lunch time.
Arnold, Helga, and Phoebe are sitting at a table together.
They see how empty the cafeteria is.
Especially the lack of girls.
Helga:
I never thought I'd miss seeing a bunch of snobby seniors. Criminy, it's too quiet here for me!
Phoebe:
You said it.
Arnold:
Let's look on the bright side.
The lunch line was very short and we were able to get our favorite snacks without them running out.
Suddenly, Arnold sees Rhonda look around the room and sneak off out of the cafeteria.
I'll be right back, guys.
Helga & Phoebe:
Okay.
Arnold leaves the table and follows Rhonda out the cafeteria.
He makes sure he isn't seen by Rhonda, who kept looking behind her.
She goes into the library , where it is empty, but there is only just two guys that didn't seem like students or any teacher.
They seemed like thugs or criminals.
Arnold watches them from behind a tall bookshelf.
Rhonda gives the two men each their own stash of money.
They count it after receiving from her.
Rhonda:
Come on, hurry and get out.
Get out from the window. Going out in the hallway would be too risky!
James:
And you're sure you want us to capture that girl? What was her name?
Rhonda:
Phoebe. Yes, your master will find her valuable. She's young, slender, and still a Virgin.
Your master's clients will really love her.
That's why doing business with me is the best deal.
I get you the young girls and money, you bring them to your master to receive more money, and then I get even more from the clients.
Flynn:
She's right, James.
We'll get the girl at Rhonda's house this evening.
Vamonos!
Flynn and James escape from the window with Rhonda watching them.
Arnold comes out from hiding.
His arms are folded.
Arnold:
Rhonda!
Rhonda turns around.
She's surprised to see Arnold.
Rhonda:
Oh, Arnold. You scared me. Don't forget to tell Phoebe to come with me today.
Arnold:
I heard everything you were talking about with those men. Who are they?
What are you planning to do to Phoebe?
Rhonda:
Arnold, Arnold, Arnold.
You know, Helga was right about you always being so annoying.
Want to always get in other people's business!
You just couldn't mind your own.
You HAD to follow me all the way here to see what I was up to.
Arnold:
What are you up to, Rhonda?
Rhonda:
Fine. It doesn't hurt to tell you.
It's not like you can do anything once I tell.
Rhonda sits down at a table. Arnold remains standing.
I'm sure you noticed that this school is losing many female students.
Arnold:
Yeah?
Rhonda:
It's because I am responsible for capturing female students here to give away to a brothel.
Arnold:
So...sex trafficking?!
Rhonda, please tell me this is all a joke.
Rhonda:
I'm afraid not, Arnold, and there's nothing you can do about it.
My family is rich and powerful.
We gain so much money from our business and dealings.
Phoebe will be gone from public's eye starting tonight!
The girl can finally lose her virginity to some dirty clients...
Rhonda rolls her eyes.
I'll dress her up real nice at my house before she gets captured.
Arnold looks at Rhonda with a disgusting look on his face.
Arnold:
I-I can't believe you.
Phoebe is our classmate.
She's been with us since we were in preschool.
How can you...
Arnold realizes something.
Wait... are you responsible for Nadine, Sheena, and Lila's disappearance?
Are they okay!?
Rhonda:
Yes, I am.
Arnold backs away from Rhonda in total disgust.
His back hits the bookshelf.
They are doing just fine, Arnold.
By now, they should be in a nice brothel.
And Lila...
Oh, I heard she's a favorite with the clients.
A perfect body.
So skinny...
I knew if I persuaded her to pursue a modeling career, she would become more attractive and therefore the most valuable slut in the brothel.
Rhonda takes a closer look at Arnold, who slowly makes his way to the exit door of the library.
He feels sick.
Arnold, you don't look so good.
If you tell anyone and I mean anyone, I will have to order the death of your parents. You wouldn't want that now, right?
Arnold slowly looks back at Rhonda.
Arnold:
You leave my parents alone.
Rhonda:
Then don't tell anyone. I know people, Arnold.
I can ruin your life just like that.
We are all getting older and more money is becoming a must.
You're a smart boy. You understand.
