It was a quiet night at Beacon Academy, and one General James Ironwood was in the courtyard gazing the distance that was the city of Vale. His robotic arm was acting up, but that was not the only thing that was bothering him. General Ironwood could not help but think about the conversation he had with Ozpin and Glynda earlier today. Their enemies were inside Beacon last night, but Ozpin wanted to do nothing? What kind of sense did that make?

James could not help but feel like he was being kept in the dark by Ozpin, possibly Glynda as well. It just confused him on how Ozpin could be so passive given the new information that they just learned. They had an idea where their enemies were basing their attacks from, and yet they didn't want to send soldiers? To Ironwood, it was like Ozpin didn't care about what was happening and just wanted to move on and focus on the future. Ironwood was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't hear footsteps behind him.

"Trouble sleeping?" Glynda Goodwitch asked curiously.

"Arm was acting up." General Ironwood said simply and Glynda rolled her eyes.

"Of course, so logically you got out of bed, dressed yourself completely, and decided to gaze menacingly out into the distance." Glynda said sarcastically and Ironwood laughed.

"And people wonder where Jaune gets his smartass traits from." Ironwood said amused and Glynda glared at him.

"Watch it, anyway what's wrong?" Glynda asked concerned and Ironwood sighed.

"I've trusted him for years, we both have I just, I can't help but feel like he is keeping us in the dark." James said honestly.

"Don't be ridiculous, you know very well that we are not the ones kept in the dark." Glynda told him.

"That makes it worse! I refuse to believe that a man that I have trusted for so long would act so passively…" Ironwood said in despair but Glynda placed a hand on his shoulder.

"You're a good person James, you've always done what you think is best for the people, even against strong protests. It's admirable, but it's high time that you stop talking about trust and started showing it. Ozpin has experience that the rest of us lack, and I think that is something worth remembering." Glynda said with conviction.

"Maybe your right, but that goes for you too you know." Ironwood said with a smile and Glynda raised an eyebrow.

"What does that mean?" Glynda asked curiously.

"Experience that the rest of us lack, raising a child on your own is something that I know I could never do. That kid you dragged to formal events has grown up so big and strong, I barely recognized him." Ironwood said in amazement and Glynda just smiled.

"Yes he certainly has, he does still have some childish qualities though. For instance, I doubt he is asleep right now either, he is probably watching one of those animated shows of his." Glynda said in annoyance while Ironwood laughed.

It seemed just like yesterday when Glynda had brought Jaune to an event in Atlas, mostly because she did not want to go alone. She brought Jaune with her, he must have been about 11 or 12 at the time, and everyone could tell that he did not want to be there. Like Glynda, Jaune was not the most social person and spent most of the time on his scroll even though Glynda berated him for being on it so much. Even his subordinate Winter Schnee was scolding him and to her anger Jaune just ignored her for the whole night. Ironwood found it amusing, he knew that Jaune had the skills of a huntsman even though his social skills needed work.

"We all have our unique attributes; they are what make us human. Still, it seems like Jaune has taken to your lessons well, considering that he and his team are among the top two teams of their year." Ironwood said with praise.

"Yes, I am quite proud of him for being so welcoming with his team, given how he liked to do things on his own before coming to Beacon. Jaune is the kind of person to know the situation and how to adapt when necessary, and he has done just that. Though he can still be a bit anti-social at times, he has done his best to work well with his team and make new friends. Now if only he would take those things out of his ears…" Glynda groaned and Ironwood gave a hearty laugh but then got serious.

"Glynda…have you spoken with him about Jeralt?" Ironwood asked hesitantly, knowing it was a touchy subject and Glynda just sighed.

"What do I say James? Hi son, your father was the love of my life and an incredible warrior, but we had a fight one day and then went our separate ways? Then I got a notice a month later saying that he died on a mission, oh and then a week after that I found out I was pregnant? How is that going to sound?" Glynda asked in sadness and Ironwood placed a hang on her shoulder.

"I saw that kid fight; he has a lot of Jeralt in him and it's not just his fighting ability. Glynda, you have told us multiple times that Jaune rarely gets in trouble and it's not because of his anti-socialness or laziness, it's because he is mature. He deserves to know about his father, and he will not judge you for having a fight with Jeralt because it was between you and him. I think he may be sad to learn that his father died without knowing about him, but I also think Jaune knows that life has many twists and turns. He will be fine Glynda, but it is up to you to tell him." Ironwood said honestly and Glynda gathered her thoughts.

It was a talk that she had been dreading for years, mostly because she did not know what to say to Jaune. He had gotten over it when he hit his teens, but in his younger years Jaune kept asking her why he didn't have a dad and why wasn't he here? They were questions that Glynda did have the answer to, but she didn't think those answers were good for a boy Jaune's age at that time. How do you tell someone that young the cheap shots that life can throw at you and how unfair it can be? Still, it was something that needed to be talked about, Glynda couldn't just keep it inside forever.

"Jaune has always wanted to keep my troubles to a bare minimum, maybe that is why he stopped asking about his Dad and never got into any trouble. Still, I can't let Jaune be the grown up when I am the parent, I will talk to him soon. Sigh…being a parent and the Deputy Headmistress of Beacon, what did I get myself into?" Glynda said in an exhausted tone while rubbing her temples.

"If anyone can handle the immense pressure, it's you Glynda." Ironwood said with a smile.

"Thank you James, I really appreciate it." Glynda said gratefully as the two just stared at the horizon.

A few hours had passed, and we find Team JNPR sleeping in their dorm room, having to get up in the next couple hours to go on their first mission. Ren and Pyrrha were sleeping peacefully while Nora was moaning and possibly dreaming about pancakes. As for Jaune, he was sleeping fine as well until his phone went off and he was woken up by the ringtone. He checked to see who it was, thinking that it was his mom wanting him to come help with something, but instead it was Ruby Rose Branwen. Curious and concerned, he answered the call.

"Ruby, you ok? Why are you calling me so late?" Jaune asked but he got static in response.

"The hell? Must have called me accidentally…" Jaune surmised as he put his scroll away and tried to get some more sleep.

When it was finally time to wake up, Team JNPR got up and prepared for their mission. Pyrrha gave Jaune a good morning kiss and he kissed back, but Pyrrha could tell something was eating at him. She demanded that Jaune tell her what was wrong and Jaune told her that Ruby had called him a couple hours ago and he got static on the other end. Jaune told his girlfriend that he hopes it was just an accidental call, but he had his doubts. Pyrrha hugged him and told him that she believed everything would be fine, though she had her doubts too.

Team JNPR was making their way to the airship, it was finally time for their first mission. The most excited of the group were Nora and Ren, though one would not know it from Ren as he was the silent type. Both had come from villages, so they felt honored that they would be able to shadow the sheriff and protect the citizens of a nearby village. Pyrrha was also excited for her team's first mission but she looked at her boyfriend and he seemed to be in deep thought. She knew what this was about and decided to console him.

"I'm sure they're fine!" Pyrrha assured but Jaune wasn't so sure.

"You think so?" Jaune asked curiously.

"Probably a butt dial!" Nora said happily while skipping.

"Team RWBY has always performed exceptionally in the field, we should focus on our mission." Ren said sternly.

"We're gonna be deputies!" Nora cheered.

"I just got this bad feeling, I don't know…" Jaune said honestly and Pyrrha put a hand on his shoulder.

"Baby…" Pyrrha said in a soft voice but then they heard a noise from Vale and then the school alarm sounded.

"Well, guess that's ten points for me. We're changing our mission, everyone get on the ship, we are going to save Team RWBY, AGAIN…" Jaune said in an irritated tone as his teammates got on board if not a bit reluctantly. Jaune halted Ren as he got on.

"Ren look I know you and Nora wanted to go to the village but this is priority number one. We will make it to that village another time, got it?" Jaune said seriously as Ren nodded and they both got on board.

"Take us into the city!" Jaune commanded the pilot, then he went over to Pyrrha and wrapped his arm around her bringing her closer.

"Did you forget that I am always right?" Jaune asked his girlfriend with a mock glare as she gave one of her own and wrapped her arm around his back.

"Go on, keep being a smart ass, it's gonna get you in trouble." Pyrrha growled playfully as their lips met and they were approaching the city.

Meanwhile, Team RWBY was surrounded by a swarm of grimm in the city of Vale, as if being on a train with the White Fang and a bunch of explosives was not bad enough. What's worse is that it was only them but that would have to do for now. The girls had started attacking the grimm and it was working, but there were so many of them that they were going to have a hard time without backup. Ruby was about to be attacked by one until she heard a gunshot and in came Nora Valkyrie smashing the grimm with her hammer.

"Dammit you four, didn't we say be careful?" Jaune asked annoyed as he and his other two teammates came into vision.

"Sorry…" Ruby said sheepishly as Jaune just rubbed his temples.

"Whatever, Team JNPR let's help them take out the garbage." Jaune commanded and his team nodded rushing into the fight in three separate directions.

Jaune noticed that a group of beowulves were coming his way and he just smirked. This was his chance to finally show off one of the new moves that he had been working on. With his next course of action decided, Jaune created a room that encapsulated the group of beowulves and then with the gravity dust option on Kikoku, he sent a few slashes to the grimm, causing them to levitate. Then Jaune rapidly slashed the grimm in all directions, and when he was done he sheathed his sword.

"Radio Knife!" Jaune yelled as the grimm were sliced to pieces and then turned to ash.

The remaining members of Team JNPR and Team RWBY all marveled at what Jaune just did. It was like he was in a freaking video game! Jaune's teammates were inwardly thanking the gods that he was on their team, they would always be safe with him around. However, they could not all stare at Jaune all day long, they had to deal with the remaining grimm. Remembering their assignment, they all rushed to kill the remaining grimm but they just kept coming.

Luckily, Team JNPR and Team RWBY would not be alone for much longer as the Atlas Military showed up and gave them a hand. Not only that but it seemed that the group from Haven was killing the grimm as well, but it was only Emerald and Mercury. Why was it the black-haired woman was not among them? Was she not a good fighter? Jaune put it in the back of his mind and went to help Sun and Neptune kill some grimm, as they had shown up to help as well.

The grimm were slowly starting to die down, the third-year team that was Team CFVY showed up to help and Jaune and his friends were amazed by what their seniors could do. The big guy known as Yatsuhashi literally created a crater in the city by just slamming down that sword of his, pushing the grimm back with a shockwave. Fox and Velvet were giving the grimm the work with quick attacks and sharp precision. Coco was definitely the leader as not only her confidence and swagger was high, but she also literally obliterated a large group of grimm with her railgun.

"Holy crap…" Jaune said in amazement and his friends nodded before going back to the grimm.

Soon after that Professor Port and Doctor Oobleck joined the fight, along with a dog for some weird reason. Not only that, but Jaune's mother showed up as well and she had a really pissed off look on her face, Jaune pitied the grimm that charged at her. Using her semblance, Glynda had fixed the broken terrain of the city and soon after that the last grimm had been killed. The grimm invasion of the city of Vale had finally come to an end.

Once everything had been taken care of, the group of students were standing next to the airship that would serve as the transport vessel of Roman Torchwick to prison. The students were chatting amongst themselves, but Jaune had multiple things in his mind as he saw Torchwick being pushed into the airship. He knew that Torchwick was in partnership with the White Fang but what for? Clearly it was not for the money, and Torchwick wasn't that violent of a criminal so what could the reason be? Also, was it his imagination or did Emerald and Mercury not seem firm enough when escorting Torchwick onto the airship?

"Oh, I can't believe you caught me, you have really taught me the error of my ways!" Roman Torchwick said sarcastically.

"Don't worry Torchwick, the boys in lockup are definitely gonna show you the error of your ways." Jaune said smugly and the other students laughed while Coco gave Jaune a fist bump.

"Why you little…hey watch the hat!" Roman said annoyed to the Atlas guard before he was shoved into the airship.

"Hey you four, it doesn't have to be now but I want details of what happened before this. Got that?" Jaune said as he narrowed his eyes at Team RWBY who gulped.

"I would like that as well." Glynda said sternly as she came over to the group and ruffled Jaune's hair, all the while giving that same glare that Jaune did.

It was at that moment that everyone knew where Jaune got some of his intensity from, since his mother was displaying it before them. Jaune then asked his mother what he and his team should do, since they were about to go out for their mission until they had to come help team RWBY. Glynda told them that they would hold off on missions, since the Vytal Festival was coming up and they would need time to recuperate from what just happened.

Team RWBY said that they would catch up with them later as they wanted to reflect on what just happened, so Team JNPR made their way back to their dorm room. Jaune hoped that Team RWBY would return soon as he really wanted to know what happened and why they couldn't stay out of trouble for a mere 24 hours. Well, the only part that he was glad about was the fact that everyone was okay, despite the grimm invasion.

That didn't quell the dark thoughts in Jaune's mind though, as he still had many questions for what just happened. How did so many grimm break into the city at the same time like that and how did they do it so quickly? Also, where was the third member of Mercury and Emerald's little group? Could she not fight as well as them or something? Finally, why did it seem like Roman Torchwick gave up a little too easily for Jaune's liking? Certainly the man would have had an escape plan or something considering he had gotten away on their previous encounters. Also, where was that accomplice of his, the one with the umbrella? Jaune was broken out of his thoughts when Pyrrha's hand was placed on his shoulder.

"Are you thinking about what just happened?" Pyrrha asked worriedly and Jaune nodded.

"Yeah, some things don't add up and I got some questions about them." Jaune said and then Pyrrha narrowed her eyes.

"About that Haven group right?" Pyrrha asked and Jaune nodded.

"They have a sketchy vibe about them, but they still aided us with those grimm. Could we have been wrong?" Ren asked curiously.

"I am not sure because it was only Emerald and Mercury, where was the third one? That women with black hair clearly is the ring leader so she has to be strong right? Why didn't she fight?" Jaune asked and the other three had the same question.

"Maybe she is the thinker of the group?" Nora suggested.

"That could be true, but we should still be wary of them, we still don't know what they are up to. It's crazy to think that we got up a few hours ago and I already want to go back to bed." Jaune groaned and his team agreed.

"Can't blame you there I am exhausted, still it is disappointing to know that our first mission is cancelled." Pyrrha said sadly.

"Yeah but after today what else do you expect? Anyway, let's get back to the dorms and just rest our minds and bodies, today was exhausting. Maybe I can talk with Mom about letting us go see the village, but it may be wise to just keep training for the Vytal festival because it is rapidly approaching." Jaune said and his team nodded.

The group finally got back to their dorm and Jaune immediately took off his shoes and climbed into his bed, he was taking a nap. The other three rolled their eyes at their leader's antics and Pyrrha grabbed some loungewear from her drawer and changed in the bathroom, then she came back out and climbed in bed with Jaune who easily obliged. The couple exchanged a few kisses before going to sleep and then Nora was forcing Ren to make pancakes for her.

A couple hours later there was a knock on their door and Jaune went to see who it was to find Yang on the other side. She said that if they wanted to know what happened then they could come over and the girls would tell them everything. Pyrrha was still sleeping soundly, Ren was meditating, and Nora was busy munching on even more pancakes. With that in mind, Jaune took it amongst himself to be the one to gain the information on what transpired on Team RWBY's mission. He then followed Yang to her team's room and then closed the door behind him.

Jaune got to Team RWBY's dorm, and they explained everything that happened earlier. Apparently, Ruby had gone off on her own when she was supposed to be on watch, which annoyed Jaune but he was going to save it for later. Ruby and her dog Zwei, whom she brought for some reason, had discovered Torchwick and the White Fang in the underground train station. The rest of the group arrived and then jumped on the train to stop Torchwick and his plan.

The next part got crazy, apparently there were bombs on each car of the rolling train that the White Fang had set up. The cars detached and blew up one by one destroying the tunnels and ultimately leaving an opening for the grimm, which explained how the grimm got into the city in the first place. Not only that, but apparently that umbrella woman was there, and she took on Yang and won but Yang said that for some reason she just disappeared. Jaune saw the sad look on Yang's face and for some reason he didn't believe it was because of the loss, but he would ask her about it later.

"Ruby, you really need to stop going into situations without backup. First it was the night of the dance and now this, you can't keep relying on your luck to save you, got it?" Jaune asked sternly and Ruby nodded.

"Yeah you are right, sorry." Ruby said sheepishly but Jaune just waved her off.

"Don't mention it, anyway were the bombs the reason why the White Fang and Torchwick were gathering that dust? Surely they had some left over right? Torchwick is probably being grilled by Ironwood right now, but that umbrella lady is nowhere to be found. Dammit, everything is becoming so much more complicated." Jaune said in annoyance and the girls nodded.

"No freaking kidding! That umbrella lady really has an overpowered semblance, it's like she can create illusions about anything and fool anyone!" Yang said frustrated then Jaune's scroll had an alert and he checked to see what it was.

"Damn…there's reports of many casualties in those tunnels, most of them White Fang members. Hope it was worth it…oh sorry Blake." Jaune apologized but Blake waved him off.

"Don't worry about it, they made their choice and I made mine." Blake said confidently and her friends smiled.

"Well, I think we can relax for now and focus on the Vytal Festival in a couple months. The good thing is that we got Torchwick, and I know that General Ironwood is going to have the time of his life getting answers of that guy. Still, we should be ready for anything in case that lady with the umbrella comes back so we aren't surprised. Anyway, you three get some rest, let us know if you need anything, later." Jaune said as the girls said goodbye to him, and he walked out the door.

Jaune thought today had been a success but he still had his worries about the future. That woman with the umbrella was still at large and to make matters worse she appeared to have an illusion-based semblance that could affect any number of people. A truly dangerous semblance when in the hands of a dangerous individual. Not only that, but Jaune still didn't know what to do about the group from Haven as he still got a bad vibe from them and was curious why the black-haired woman didn't make an appearance.

The other thing that was on Jaune's mind was the White Fang and their ambition to make humanity pay. After today's result, was it really worth it? Working with Torchwick and gathering all that dust, just to go die in a tunnel? Jaune wondered if what happened today would quell the organizations lust for human blood or would it just ignite it even more. Jaune hoped it was the former and not the ladder, as from what he could tell by experience the members of the White Fang were not very good fighters. Hell, he and Pyrrha mowed down a bunch of them back at the docks without much issue. Putting all of his thoughts in the back of his mind, Jaune re-entered his room to relax with his team.

Meanwhile, on the rooftop of one of the many buildings in the city of Vale, the group from Haven were discussing the events of the day, something that was not supposed to happen until a few days from now. But of course, Team RWBY just had to do something that was going to mess up their plans and their whole timeline. It was very irritating but what's done is done and now they had to focus on the future, however Cinder Fall did not seem too concerned.

"All in all, I call today a success." Cinder said in content.

"Those stupid kids really made a mess of things." Emerald said in annoyance.

"Yeah, a lot of faunus didn't make it out of those tunnels. Do you still think that the White Fang is going to listen to us?" Mercury asked and a voice responded to him.

"No, but they'll listen to me." A red haired faunus dressed in black said with conviction, he also had a different mask on than the other White Fang members.

"Adam Taurus, so nice of you to join us." Cinder said snidely.

"Today will ignite the fire of the White Fang once more, our blood was spilled, and we will replenish it with the blood of the humans. With that as our motive, nothing will waiver in the White Fang's goal to make humanity suffer, I will see to it personally." Adam reassured the group and they nodded, but Emerald had something else to say.

"There is something else we need to talk about, Mercury and I saw Jaune Goodwitch's semblance." Emerald informed them and Cinder and Adam became very intrigued.

"Oh? Do tell." Cinder said very curious, but she just received bad news.

"That's the thing, I don't really know what it is or how he does it. We may have to see it a few times before we truly understand what it is." Emerald said with a frown.

"Why is that?" Adam asked and Mercury responded.

"He just extended his hand and then a green barrier formed around a group of grimm, then he hit a button on that giant katana of his and then sent some slashes on the barrier causing the grimm to levitate. Then he got inside the barrier and slashed his sword a few more times, and then sheathed it causing the grimm to be torn to shreds. Then the barrier went down, and he just started slashing away at the other grimm, we didn't see him make that barrier again, but then again we had arrived after he did it." Mercury said honestly and Emerald picked up where he left off.

"At this point we don't know how much aura one of those barriers takes, or if he can do it at whatever time that he wants. I think that maybe he can control whatever is inside that barrier of his, didn't Torchwick say that spikes came out of the ground when Jaune lifted his finger? And now he caused the grimm to levitate when they were in that circle, so maybe he can control the terrain and objects with his mind when they are in the barrier? But how can he do it so efficiently and quickly? Dammit there is so much that we don't know." Emerald said irritated and the others shared her irritation.

Adam had learned from his subordinates that this Jaune Goodwitch was no ordinary student and was an excellent fighter. Goodwitch had peaked Jaune's interest when his subordinates came back after the failed mission at the docks and told him how this blonde boy had somehow made spikes come out of the ground and sent them flying towards their airship. While this boy seemed impressive, Adam knew that Jaune Goodwitch and his team were going to be a pain to his overall plan and wanted to take them out.

"We will keep pushing forward with the plan, Roman will be broken out of prison when the time is right. After all, he is in the best place possible when it comes to our plan." Cinder said evilly.

"Yeah but those kids are gonna be a pain in the ass, I mean we got Goodwitch and Nikos, plus those other two on that team aren't bad at all. Then of course we have Team RWBY, and you know they love to mess up perfectly good plans." Mercury groaned.

"Don't worry, it will just be more fun crushing them in the end." Adam said with a smirk, waiting for the chance to make Blake pay for her betrayal.

Back at Beacon Academy, the Deputy Headmistress Glynda Goodwitch was beyond frustrated by today's events. She had already been worried about her son going on his first mission, not to say that she didn't believe in Jaune's skill but as a mother she would always worry about her child. What she didn't need to happen was for grimm to invade the city of Vale and for the students to be involved, her son included. Even though the city had been saved and Torchwick was in custody, Glynda knew that there would be repercussions of this invasion and there were.

Glynda had learned from Professor Ozpin that the council of Vale had taken away Ozpin's role as head of security and gave it to James Ironwood and Atlas. In their report, they said that James and his troops would be monitoring the whole Vytal Festival, so that he could ensure the citizens safety during this momentous occasion. This of course was the response to the grimm invading the city of Vale and the council rushing to come up with a solution.

It was because of moments like these that Glynda didn't really care for the council, considering the decisions they made were often very stupid. In their attempts to protect the citizens and make everyone happy, they neglected the fact that the enemies of the public such as the White Fang, would notice that the kingdom of Vale is on high alert. General Ironwood's ships were not just eyesores, they were a symbol to enemies saying that they were expecting attacks, which in turn would cause the public to become wary and worried. That of course would mean the negativity would arise, and then would come the grimm.

Glynda put her head in her hands, as she didn't have enough stress already this was put on her plate. She meant it when she said that James Ironwood was a good man because he was, but dammit he could go overboard, and he loved showing his military bravado. Glynda didn't want to think about what could happen if things went wrong, but her role as Deputy Headmistress of Beacon Academy required her to. That is why she took out her scroll and selected her son's contact and messaged him telling him that they needed to talk now.

Jaune was in dorm room watching Bleach on his scroll while cuddling with Pyrrha as she nuzzled him and was reading battle tactics on her scroll. Just then Jaune got an alert on his scroll saying that he got a message from his mother, he read it and it said that she needed him to come to her office so they could talk. Given the timing maybe it was about what Team RWBY did on their mission and she probably thought that Jaune had more details than they gave her. Unfortunately, that meant he had to get up from his bed that he and Pyrrha were very comfortable in.

"Sorry beautiful, mom needs something." Jaune said reluctantly.

"Noooooo…" Pyrrha whined as Jaune just laughed and started to get up.

"I have to…" Jaune said while giving Pyrrha kisses that she gladly returned.

"Fine, just hurry it up and don't take long on purpose." Pyrrha said while glaring at her boyfriend who just nodded rapidly.

Jaune put on his shoes and his coat and walked to his mother's office, wondering what it was that she wanted to discuss. Was it just a checkup on how he was doing? He and his team did fight off a grimm invasion with other students and it was the first time doing that so maybe she just wanted to see if he was ok. God forbid that General Ironwood did something stupid and she needed to vent about it to him. His questions would be answered as he made his way to his mom's office and knocked on the door and opened it after she told him to come in.

Jaune walked into his mother's office and saw the look on his mother's face, and it was not the glare he was used to receiving THANK GOD. However, that was not to say that the look on his mother's face was a good one, as she looked exhausted and more stressed out than she had usually looked. Did something happen as a result of the grimm invasion? Or God forbid did something happen at the house and they were robbed?! Rather than speculate, Jaune just decided to get to the point.

"Um, you wanted to see me mama?" Jaune asked and Glynda looked up from her desk.

"Yes honey, please have a seat." Glynda said with a smile and Jaune did as he was told.

"Mom, are you ok? You look like you are about to take one of your exams." Jaune joked and Glynda hit him on the head with her wand.

"Cheeky little brat, anyway I am a bit stressed because of some things that have transpired due to today's events but that can wait until later. We need to have a serious talk Jaune." Glynda stated in a serious voice and Jaune got nervous.

"Um ok, about what?" Jaune asked, worried that he did something wrong, but his mother just sighed.

"It's time for me to tell you everything about your father." Glynda said seriously causing Jaune to widen his eyes, it was finally time.

Author Notes:

That is another chapter down! Ok…I have to ask is everyone doing alright after the Volume 8 finale? Because that destroyed me, it literally reminded me of the ending of Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and that game is the saddest of the series. Honestly though, Salem and Cinder should celebrate their victory while they have it because Thanos was smiling at the start and we all know how it ended for him. So, we got to see Jaune's new move called 'Radio Knife', Glynda talked with James about Jaune's growth and how he reminds them of his dad Jeralt, and at the end it seems Glynda is finally going to have the dad talk with her son. Also, it seemed that Adam Taurus was getting intrigued about Jaune Goodwitch, what could that entail? Anyway, like and review, New Rose is up next!
