It had been a month since Jaune learned about the fate of his father, and he was doing his best to keep moving forward in his life. He would be lying if he said that he was not still saddened when learning the truth about his father, but Jaune knew that it could not be a shackle in his life. Instead of being sad about it, Jaune would work hard to make his father proud as well as his mother. He would use the lesson he learned from both parents and would strive to be the best huntsman he could be.

Over the course of the month, things had been going better for Jaune. His relationship with Pyrrha was still as solid as ever, in fact one could say it had improved. They went on plenty of dates and spent a lot of time together, which was fine with Jaune because there was no one else he wanted to hang out with. Jaune did not attend the Kingsglaive reunion that Calvin had mentioned because he had enough going on and didn't need any of that toxicity back in his life.

Team JNPR also trained extensively during the month, improving their teamwork and their individual skills as well. They wanted to get better as a unit for the Vytal Festival, as they wanted to be the team that took him the grand prize. Additionally, they wanted to be better prepared when something went wrong like Torchwick doing something or the White Fang making a move. There was also the possibility that the Haven team would make their intentions known. However, they had to focus on today which was the day that students had waited for.

The Vytal Festival was finally here and every student from every academy wanted to use this opportunity to show why they were the best. The Vytal Festival was such a big deal because every huntsman academy took part, and every student of every class was a participant. That made winning the festival so much more worthwhile, and every team wanted to hold up that trophy. Team JNPR was one of those teams and Jaune thought they could do it.

Considering the team they had, they would be a force to be reckoned with. First there was Jaune who had great swordsmanship and a powerful semblance that would cause the other team to be nervous. Then there was Pyrrha whose skills spoke for themselves considering that she was a tournament champion. Finally, Nora with her strength and Ren with his ninja skills made them worthy hunters so team JNPR was one of the favorites from the first-year class.

So here they were now, walking around the campus before it was time for their match. They all agreed that they did not really need to scope out the competition, they would find out when their match started. The matches all took place up on Amity Coliseum, which was pretty much just a floating arena, to which Airships constantly took people up from Beacon and other schools. When it was their turn, Team JNPR would head up for their first match.

They had witnessed Team RWBY win their match and they were happy for them. The girls really showed why they were a top team among the first years, and they showed how much they had improved since their first meeting. Speaking of team RWBY, Jaune and his team found them at a Ramen stand that they had on campus. Apparently, Weiss card declined, and they couldn't pay for lunch causing Blake to wallow in despair. Luckily, Pyrrha came to the rescue.

"Maybe I could help?" Pyrrha asked kindly as she pulled out her credit card.

"Pyrrha!" Ruby cheered.

"Aw, you don't have to!" Yang said appreciatively.

"But she could!" Blake argued desperately causing team JNPR to laugh.

"Well, I think that you all earned after that battle." Pyrrha said happily.

"You guys mind if we join you?" Jaune asked and team RWBY shook their heads.

The group of friends got their ramen and began to dig in. Jaune thought that it was good that they chose ramen as their meal because it would give them the carbs that they needed for their match which was soon. Not only that, but he was really hungry as they didn't have time for breakfast considering the fact that they all overslept. Once they all finished their ramen, team JNPR and Team RWBY were full and very pleased. Jaune laid his head on Pyrrha's shoulder and Pyrrha giggled and then kissed him on the head.

"Is it wise to eat like this before our match?" Ren asked.

"Of course, it will give us energy!" Pyrrha said confidently.

"Yeah don't worry Ren, the calories are about to be burned off quick." Jaune assured as he stretched his arms out.

"Yeah, and if you barf just do it on the enemy!" Nora said with a sinister smile as everyone looked at her weirdly.

"Nora, that is disgusting…but a viable strategy." Ren said a bit reluctantly as the others shook their heads.

"Well, we should be off!" Pyrrha said as her team started to get up.

"So, think you guys are ready?" Ruby asked and they all nodded.

"Of course! We have a renowned fighter on our team, what's basically a ninja, I can bench five of me and we have our fearless leader who can cut anything!" Nora said excitedly.

"Don't get cocky Nora, everyone here is a hunter in training and they all have their individual skills just like us. If we get too relaxed or too confident then we will lose before we even get started, so treat the enemy with respect ok?" Jaune told Nora who pouted but nodded.

Ren and Pyrrha smiled at what their leader said because it really showed how mature Jaune was. If they were being honest Jaune really could be cocky if he wanted to because he had the skills to back it up. He was quite strong with his sword, and he knew how to use his semblance to the best of his ability, making him a tough opponent for anyone. Not to mention that he was the son of the Deputy Headmistress, but one wouldn't know it. Jaune went about his life as if he were just an ordinary student and this is what his team loved about him.

"Alright Team JNPR, let's do this." Jaune said as he wrapped his arm around Pyrrha and then walked away with his team saying bye to Team RWBY.

Team JNPR got on the airship and went to the arena, Jaune told them all to get their game faces on. This was their first match and would really be a testament to all the hard work that they had been putting in over these last few months. Jaune had no doubt that they were going to do well though, every single one of them had a fighting spirit and something to prove. With their techniques and bond, Jaune knew that his team would be one to be reckoned with.

Pyrrha leaned into Jaune who smiled and the two shared some good luck kisses and then Pyrrha hugged Jaune who hugged back. If Pyrrha was being honest, Jaune made her better and when he fought alongside her she felt like she could do anything. Not only that, but Pyrrha enjoyed how Jaune treated her like a normal girl when back home she was treated like a celebrity. She had no friends because everyone was either jealous of her or wanted to get her autograph. Her team and Team RWBY were the first real friends she had, and she couldn't be happier.

"You ready?" Jaune asked even though he knew the answer.

"Of course, you better do well because then we will have something to celebrate later." Pyrrha said lovingly and Jaune rolled his eyes and kissed her, and she kissed back.

Team JNPR got into the arena on the combat floor and were welcomed by hundreds of people in the stands. Jaune forgot how many people were allowed to watch this thing and hoped that it would not deter his team's performance. They were up against team BRNZ from Shade Academy, which was located in Vacuo, they looked ordinary, but Jaune would not underestimate them. He and his team saw Team RWBY in the stands and heard them cheering to which they smiled.

The field was determined for their match, and it would be half forest and half mountain, both of which Jaune was happy with. The thing about the Vytal Festival was that the matches were not just on some ordinary combat stage like in his mom's classes. The Amity Colosseum incorporated a biome system to use certain types of dust to create multiple settings for matches. And it would always be an incorporation of two, never just one alone. Nevertheless, Jaune felt like the ones chosen were perfect and looked at Nora.

"Nora." Jaune said and she grinned.

"Got it!" Nora said excitedly as they turned their attention back to their opponents.

Unknown to Team JNPR, there were a few groups that were looking forward to watching this match. The first group was the Haven team consisting of Mercury, Emerald and Cinder. They really wanted to see more of Jaune in action so that they could plan accordingly for what's to come. The other group was Jaune's old classmates from Kingsglaive, Talia and her friends to be specific. They wanted to see how strong Jaune's team was and to see him get hit after he dodged their reunion. The timer went off and the announcer said it was time to fight.

"Alright people, to work." Jaune ordered as he and his team charged to team BRNZ.

The two teams met in the middle and engaged in combat, though one member of the enemy team went the opposite way and got on top of a tree branch. Then the next thing Jaune knew there were bullets coming from the forest, but it didn't matter because he deflected them. The bullets were coming from a tree in the middle, and Jaune knew that he could not keep reflecting all day and still fight this other guy in front of him, so he came up with a plan and went over to where Pyrrha was and kicked the guy she was fighting.

"Jaune what is it?" Pyrrha asked a bit surprised.

"Middle tree." Jaune said simply as he fought the guy Pyrrha was fighting as well as the guy he was fighting.

The bullets flew by and Pyrrha instantly figured out what Jaune meant, so she left the other two to her boyfriend who was on the offensive. Pyrrha got some distance and put her weapons into rifle mode and looked for the sniper on the other team. Sure enough, there was the sniper in the middle tree of the forest just like Jaune said. With that information known, Pyrrha fired a shot in the middle and knocked the sniper off of the tree.

"Jaune, got her!" Pyrrha said happily as Jaune nodded and knocked the other two guys away with Kikoku.

"Hey Ren!" Jaune ordered and Ren nodded.

Using his speed Ren went to the sniper falling out of the tree and attacked her getting her aura in the red zone and eliminating her. The other three of Team BRNZ got enraged by this and one of them attacked Nora with his stun baton. Unfortunately for him, Nora's semblance was made for things like that and resulted in her being unphased and the guy who attacked her to be hit with her hammer. The rest of Team BRNZ look frustrated while team JNPR looked calm as Jaune motioned Nora to the cliff, and she nodded.

"What an astonishing display of teamwork by Team JNPR!" Professor Port praised and Doctor Oobleck nodded in agreement.

"I must agree Peter! They are so in sync that Mr. Goodwitch barely had to speak any words to command them! How will the remainder of Team BRNZ handle this adversity? Let's find out!" Oobleck said as the crowd kept cheering.

"Wow, Team JNPR is amazing!" Ruby cheered.

"Yeah, they have so much confidence in Jaune as a leader that they know what to do just by having him give simple commands. It's very impressive." Weiss praised but some were not happy about what they were seeing.

"Dammit, it really isn't just team RWBY that we have to watch out for, honestly I think these guys are a bit better." Emerald said honestly and Mercury nodded.

"Yeah no kidding, as if it wasn't enough that they had the invincible girl on their team, every single one of them is skilled. Goodwitch uses that sword like it is an extension of his own body, and he hasn't used his semblance yet. The hyper one is so strong that she can wield that hammer with ease and that semblance is really useful for people who use lightning dust, which is the majority. Then we have that Ren kid who is so calm and precise that he is a danger to any enemy. They really are a force to be reckoned with…" Mercury grumbled in annoyance.

"No matter, they will fall with everyone else." Cinder stated confidently but on the inside she was a bit worried.

If Cinder was being honest these kids were a lot stronger than she gave them credit for, and they were just getting better. Cinder agreed with Emerald that Team JNPR was stronger than Team RWBY because their mental game was better, and their attacks were more refined. It also did not help that Jaune Goodwitch was wary of them, but they hadn't been caught yet. Cinder could only hope that during the invasion this team would be distracted long enough for her to get the Maiden powers, then it wouldn't matter how strong they were. There was another group upset about what they were seeing…

"Sigh…this seems familiar doesn't it?" Boa said in annoyance and the group around her just nodded.

"Yep, Jaune kicking everyone's ass like it's nothing and his teammates apparently have the same motto. I knew that Jaune's team would be good because they have Pyrrha Nikos, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I mean how can that orange-haired girl be so thin, but she can wield that giant hammer like it's nothing?!" Nami asked frustrated and Calvin sighed.

"Well, at least we know now why he doesn't communicate with us at all besides the main reason, look how in sync they are. I mean Jaune has barely spoken a few words and yet they all follow his command perfectly. His skills have better too, did you guys see the way he took on those two guys while Nikos was getting that sniper? You're right Boa, this is incredibly familiar, it takes me back to the days at Kingsglaive when we had combat training and Jaune was always levels ahead of us." Calvin said irritated and Talia was too, but she remained silent.

If she was being completely honest, Talia was still upset about the encounter that she had with Jaune and his team. She really didn't like the way Jaune spoke to her, and she was about to fight Pyrrha Nikos after she dissed Talia like that. Talia really hated that Jaune didn't come to the reunion, she knew he was pretty much done with all of them but come on. And now she had to watch him, and his team dominate in the festival after her and the other teams that had Kingsglaive alumni failed.

It just served as a reminder that Jaune was better than all of them at combat, something that they put second at Kingsglaive. Unlike Jaune, Talia and the others were just focused on status within the school and becoming popular. There were rumors, social gatherings, and other things that Jaune just didn't care about, and it caused that group to label him a loner. Well, that loner was the only one of them to get into Beacon and they were seeing why with this match.

Back on the field, Jaune, Pyrrha and Ren were giving the remaining members of Team BRNZ a run for their money. Everyone in the stands could tell that they were getting frustrated that the sniper had been taken out, as it was clearly a huge part of their strategy. Just then they all heard the sound of thunder and Team JNPR smirked and fell back. The remainder of Team BRNZ looked confused until they saw Nora Valkyrie standing on top of a mountain with her hammer raised absorbing the lightning.

Nora then jumped from the mountain and brought the hammer down dealing a devasting blow to the remainders of Team BRNZ. It hurt a lot, but the enemy team was not done yet and Jaune had a lot of aura still left so he knew what he had to do. Jaune created a room and sent out various waves of gravity dust causing the enemy team to lift into the air. Then he dashed and sliced his sword a few times before sheathing it.

"Radio Knife!" Jaune said as he sheathed Kikoku and the other team suffered his attack and were eliminated when their aura was in the red.

"An incredible display of strength by Nora Valkyrie and Jaune Goodwitch has eliminated Team BRNZ! Team JNPR moves on to the next round!" Professor Port declared and everyone in the stands cheered.

"WE DID IT!" Nora cheered as she hugged Pyrrha while Jaune and Ren fist bumped.

"Congratulations to Team JNPR, but Team BRNZ should not be discouraged! Use this experience to come back even stronger next year!" Oobleck advised and the others cheered again.

"Way to go guys!" Ruby cheered along with her team and the rest of the crowd.

Meanwhile, the shady group from Haven just looked at what happened in shock. They knew that Jaune Goodwitch was strong, and he had a powerful semblance, but this was ridiculous. What the hell did that kid even do? The other team was on the ground and then suddenly a green bubble encapsulated the field and Jaune did some kind of finishing move in a matter seconds! Emerald and Mercury turned to Cinder who was also in shock.

"See? We told you it was insane!" Emerald exclaimed.

"I just don't get how someone could have such a powerful and tricky semblance like that. And his team is so skilled that he didn't even have to use it until the very end!" Mercury said as he was getting irritated.

"Both of you calm down, it doesn't matter how good of a semblance he has or how skilled he is. When the time comes he will fall just like the rest." Cinder assured but on the inside she was worried as well.

The alumni from Kingsglaive Academy all had their eyes wide like fish as they witnessed what just happened. They knew that Jaune was strong, but they had never seen him do anything like that! Just what had Beacon been teaching him for him to improve on such a level? Talia and her team were incredibly jealous of the fact that Jaune did not seem to be slowing down and just kept leaving them in the dust.

"Ok, since when could Jaune do that?!" Nami asked a bit freaked out by Jaune's Radio Knife.

"No idea, clearly he has created some new moves for himself and has improved his semblance. I have never understood how it works though, but clearly he understands its' applications and how he can improve it." Boa stated as she looked down at the arena.

"I know how it works, Jaune told me." Talia said simply as her eyes never looked away from her ex-boyfriend while the others around her looked at her with wide eyes.

"Wait, really Talia? How exactly does it work then because I never understood how Jaune does it." Calvin said and Talia sighed.

"He told me once when I asked him for help on an assignment we had in combat class. Jaune can form these barriers and he can control what is inside the barrier, hence how he can cut anything, and those spikes can come from the ground. It takes up a lot of his aura though so he can't keep using it over and over again, but he doesn't have to. Jaune's swordsmanship is so good that he really only needs to use his semblance once or at the most twice in a fight." Talia informed them and they all looked shocked.

All of them had gotten into the other schools but Jaune was the only one who got into Beacon, and they all wanted to believe it was because of his mother. They all knew the truth though; he was just that good. It was irritating for them because the guy who was indifferent to all the rumors and social status was probably the strongest one out of all of them. Not to mention that he didn't want anything to do with them anymore because he was done with them.

Speaking of Jaune, he and his team left the field and went to get outside of the arena. Once they did Pyrrha immediately captured Jaune's lips and Jaune kissed back, both giving each other a congratulatory kiss. They would have done this on the field after they won but they really did not need the extra attention or the crowd getting into their business. Especially with the fact that Pyrrha was a tournament champion, and the media would hound them if they found out she had a boyfriend.

All that nonsense aside, Jaune and his team were very happy with how they performed and won that match. They all showed their strengths and the fact that they were a force to be reckoned with, and every other team participating in this festival should watch out. It really was a testament to how much they had learned over the few months and how close they were as a team. Everyone followed Jaune's orders because they trusted him, and it always caused positive results.

"That's a win for Team JNPR!" Nora said happily and her teammates chuckled.

"It is nice getting a win in such a dominating fashion like that, nice work giving the commands at the right time Jaune." Ren said appreciatively but Jaune just waved him off.

"Eh don't worry about it, it's thanks to you guys that the commands work after all. Really it's just me giving orders, you guys are the ones that are actually doing the work." Jaune said honestly but Pyrrha nudged him in the shoulder.

"Don't be so modest baby, you are the reason we win. Without you giving those commands we would be all clustered up and uncoordinated. We win because of our fearless leader!" Pyrrha said happily as she kissed him, and he kissed back.

"Thanks babe." Jaune said happily.

"Hey Jaune, who do you want to go into the doubles round? Remember, that was the only time that we get to fight as a whole group, we will be divided in two from now on." Ren informed and Jaune nodded.

"Yeah I know, I think that it is best that you and Nora go into the doubles round. You guys work really well together and have known each other the longest so I would say that you both have this in the bag." Jaune said intelligently.

"Got it, we will do our best." Ren said seriously.

"We'll destroy them!" Nora said enthusiastically and Jaune laughed while ruffling her hair.

"Hey, why don't you want to fight with me in the doubles round?" Pyrrha asked with a pout, but Jaune just smiled.

"Because Beautiful, we need you rested and ready for the singles round. All of that tournament champion experience is gonna be shown when you knock the other contestants around. If anyone can beat these students one on one, it's you." Jaune said honestly and Pyrrha smiled.

"You say that, but you just want more time to watch those shows of yours on your scroll, isn't that right?" Pyrrha teased and Jaune wrapped an arm around her.

"You know me so well." Jaune said as he kissed her and Pyrrha rolled her eyes and kissed back.

Jaune and his team took the free time that they had to enjoy all that the Vytal Festival had brought. There were many stands for food, games and other things so team JNPR wanted to enjoy all that it brought. The doubles round did not start until tomorrow so there was nothing else for them really to do, plus Nora raved about getting sweets which the others groaned at that. Considering what she did when she had too much coffee, the rest of team JNPR knew what they were getting if Nora had too many sweets.

The rest of the day had been pretty fun, Team JNPR had a good time seeing all the stands and chatting with their friends. They even got to see Team SSSN win their match, it was pretty cool seeing Sun and his team fight. Though Jaune thought it was hilarious that Neptune was afraid of water even though his name was Neptune. He also saw Sun wink at Blake, and he was sure that Blake blushed, he wondered when Sun was gonna make a move on her.

Jaune and Pyrrha left Ren and Nora because they wanted some time to their selves, and they were walking around the festival. They walked around and enjoyed each other's company before they would have to go back to their dorm and deal with Nora's shenanigans. As they walked, Jaune and Pyrrha could hear the mumbling from the other attendees about them being together. Both of them wished they would all mind their business, but they knew it wouldn't happen.

It was really irritating for Pyrrha especially, considering that she already dealt with this garbage when she was back in Mistral. Apparently the message was not received by the public that Pyrrha wanted to be left alone and wanted to be treated as a normal girl. She could only imagine the rumors that people were making about her and Jaune, not that she would let it deter them though. Jaune was annoyed because he already dealt with this when Talia told his old classmates he was dating Pyrrha. Speak of the devil…

"Hey Jaune." Talia said and Jaune and Pyrrha reluctantly turned around.

"Yes?" Jaune asked already annoyed as he looked at Talia, Nami, and Boa glaring at him.

"We just wanted to say congrats, you did really well so did you Pyrrha." Nami praised.

"Thank you." Pyrrha said even though she didn't seem happy about it.

"So Jaune, all of us could not help but notice that you didn't make it to the reunion that we all had last month. Any reason why?" Boa asked as she narrowed her eyes.

"Oh right, sorry we were busy doing…anything else." Jaune said sarcastically as he looked bored and the girls glared.

"Ok, I am getting really tired of you and your attitude Jaune. Yes, we were not the nicest people to you back at Kingsglaive, but that was then, and this is now. It is true that we cared more about popularity and social status than you, while you cared more about your combat skills and your studies. And look how that has ended up, we lost in our first rounds while you and your team dominated as usual. So, congrats Jaune, happy now?" Talia said in an irritated tone.

"I don't care about any of that, this is not a competition in my mind. I want to be a huntsman because I want to help people and keep the world safe, who the hell cares about popularity? I do stuff how I want and I don't really care what anyone else has to say about me. What I don't like though is you all telling people me and Pyrrha's business and creating all your stupid ass rumors. How is it that you guys hated me in Kingsglaive and now you want to be my friend?" Jaune asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Because that's how people are Jaune, whether you like it or not. You are the only one of us that got into Beacon and have been living the good life while we all had to go to the other academies. Not only that, but your team is also definitely the strongest of the first years at Beacon. Naturally, you're no longer just the loner Jaune Goodwitch that we know, you have become someone more than that. So we want to be on your good side, what is the problem with that?" Nami asked angrily.

"The problem is that before Jaune got to Beacon you all treated him like garbage because he was better than you, which is really pathetic. Instead of making rumors and focusing on becoming popular, you could have trained to get stronger, and you could have made it to Beacon. Jaune is the only one who took it seriously while you all focused on nonsense, hence the gap between you. The reason you want to be on Jaune's good side is because you don't want to focus on your own faults." Pyrrha said in a disappointed tone and the girls glared at her.

"You think just because you're a tournament champion makes you qualified to talk down on us?!" Boa asked angrily and Pyrrha just rolled her eyes.

"No, I don't, but as Jaune's girlfriend I have the right to call the people who annoy him out on their bullshit." Pyrrha stated honestly and the girls growled.

"Why you-" Talia tried to threaten but Jaune stepped in front of Pyrrha and glared at her.

"You really wanna try her Talia? You know good and well that Pyrrha can kick your ass up and down Amity Colosseum." Jaune said while laughing and Pyrrha smirked.

"You know what? Fine, hate us if you want Jaune, but we are the ones who are trying to make nice no matter how hard it is." Boa said angrily and Jaune turned around.

"Yeah, I'll let you know when I care, which is probably never. Let's go Pyrrha." Jaune said walking away and Pyrrha walked beside him after glaring at the girls who glared back.

They walked around for a few minutes, but Jaune was just trying to get his mind off of what just happened. He found it really annoying that Talia and her little posse were not taking the hint that Jaune wanted nothing to do with them anymore. They didn't care about him at all at Kingsglaive but now that he was at Beacon they wanted to place nice. It was really pathetic if he was being honest, considering that they still only cared about popularity and weren't taking their huntress in training roles seriously.

Unknown to Jaune, Pyrrha shared his annoyance and was still scowling about the girls that were about to try her. That interaction really gave Pyrrha some deju vu, considering that she had a similar conversation with a group of girls back at Sanctum Academy. A group of jealous girls made rumors about Pyrrha using drug enhancements to help her win those tournaments. Pyrrha found out and told those girls to quit making lies about her and that jealousy was an ugly trait. When she won another tournament, those girls wanted to make nice, but she wasn't having it.

She hoped that none of those girls showed their faces here at the Vytal Festival because she didn't know how civil she could be. At least she was with Jaune, and she always felt so calm with him, so she wasn't afraid or anything. Going back to Jaune, he was just focused on getting away from those girls and Pyrrha could not really blame him. Still, Pyrrha could not see him act like the opposite of what he usually was, easy going and nice so she did something about it.

"Hey baby, you ok?" Pyrrha asked and Jaune smiled.

"Of course, I'm with you aren't I?" Jaune asked and Pyrrha kissed him.

"I just know how those girls get under your skin, and I have seen how annoying they can be. Just wanted to make sure you weren't triggered or anything like that." Pyrrha said honestly and Jaune shook his head.

"Don't worry babe like I said, they are yesterday's paper. The only people that matter to me are you, our teammates and our friends. Hey, what's going on over there?" Jaune asked and Pyrrha looked in the direction he was looking in.

There was a group of people gathered around and apparently were watching something. Curiosity getting the better of them, the couple went to see what all the commotion about, and they saw what looked like a street fight. There was a black-haired man with a great sword fighting a white-haired woman that looked very similar to a certain Weiss Schnee. Pyrrha had no idea who the two were but figured her boyfriend knew as she heard him groan.

"Oh great, the other one is here." Jaune said in annoyance as he rubbed his temples.

"The other one?" Pyrrha asked and Jaune groaned again.

"That's Weiss sister, Winter Schnee she is a soldier in the Atlas Military and works directly under General Ironwood. She is the same as Weiss as she has the same condescending attitude but has an even dryer personality. I have met her once and let's just say we didn't become the best of friends." Jaune said honestly and Pyrrha shook her head in amusement.

"I can't imagine you being friends with an older Weiss, anyway who is the black-haired man, do you know?" Pyrrha asked and Jaune shook his head.

"He looks familiar, but I don't know who he is." Jaune said until they heard the voice of Ruby Rose Branwen.

"Kick her butt Daddy!" Ruby cheered.

"Well, that answers that." Jaune said and Pyrrha nodded as they watched the fight between Ruby's father and Weiss' sister.

The fight went on for a few more minutes and it really was a marvel to see such experienced huntsman go at it one on one. Their sword techniques were on a completely higher level than the students, and it showed the students watching how much of a long road they had ahead of them. Jaune and Pyrrha knew that even though they were strong, they still needed to improve, and this battle was a clear example of that.

The battle was reaching its' climax, and no one could really tell who would win because Winter and the black-haired man were just about even in strength. Jaune then noticed that General Ironwood and Penny were approaching but it didn't seem like Winter noticed. The black-haired man seemed to notice though, and taunted Winter to attack to which she did but froze when she heard the roar of her superior.

"SCHNEE!" Ironwood yelled and Winter stopped her attack.

"General Ironwood sir!" Winter said a bit flustered.

"What do you think your doing? Ironwood asked angrily.

"He started the altercation sir!" Winter told him.

"That's actually not true, she's the one who started it." Qrow cut in and Ironwood's eyes narrowed.

"Is that true?" Ironwood asked and Winter looked ashamed, but a voice cut in.

"Don't blame her General Ironwood, I can't say I would have been happy if my soldiers were cut down by some crazy guy." Jaune said as held up the head of a robot soldier and Pyrrha looked annoyed beside him.

"Qrow!" Ironwood said angrily as the man known as Qrow ignored him and walked up to Jaune.

"Listen kid, you're going to want to stay out of grown ups business." Qrow said angry that Jaune sold him out.

"And you're going to want to give me 6 inches of space." Jaune said not scared in the slightest.

"Who the hell do you think you are?" Qrow asked annoyed but thought that the kid looked familiar.

"Someone you don't want a problem with, and the son of someone you don't want a problem with." Jaune said simply and he saw the crowd was watching them, but he didn't care.

"And who would that be-" Qrow tried to ask but froze when he heard a yell.

"QROW!" Glynda Goodwitch yelled as she came onto the scene with Professor Ozpin.

"Glynda, so nice to see you." Qrow said sarcastically.

"Do I want to know what you are saying to my son?" Glynda asked with a glare and Qrow widened his eyes as he looked back at the blonde kid.

He knew the boy looked familiar, but he never would have guessed that was the son of Jeralt and Glynda. It had been a few years since he saw the kid, but he couldn't recognize the Jaune that was in front of him. He grew up to be so big and strong, he was really the spawn of those two and one could see it clearly. The sword that he had was a katana, different from Jeralt's but he held it like he had trained with it his entire life.

"Don't worry Mom, the liquor probably makes him think he is a tough guy." Jaune said while laughing and the crowd laughed too.

"Why you little…" Qrow growled but something jumped on him.

"DADDY!" Ruby yelled as she jumped on her father's arm who held her up.

"It's so good to see you! Did you miss me, did you miss me?!" Ruby asked excitedly to which Qrow looked at her with a blank expression and then smirked.

"Nope!" Qrow said while smirking as he ruffled his daughter's hair.

"Qrow! A word please…" Ozpin said with a glare as Qrow reluctantly followed him after hugging Ruby.

"Jaune, if he tries something like that again you can hit him with Kikoku." Glynda said seriously and Jaune nodded.

"Yes Mama." Jaune said obediently as Glynda rubbed his head and then left with the others.

"Your mom is awesome." Pyrrha said in approval as she hugged Jaune.

"Yeah, she is." Jaune said as he wrapped his arm around her, things were starting to heat up.

Author Notes:

Hey y'all sorry this took so long it is just hard to write this story in comparison to Izuku Aizawa and New Rose. It sucks to cuz I do have some ideas for Volumes 4-8 but idk if I will take it that far. Anyway, got guilty gear strive and it's amazing, can't wait to play FF7 Remake Intergrade and Ratchet and Clank. So, Team JNPR kicked ass in the first round, Talia and her annoying friends showed up, and Qrow got owned by Glynda. What will happen next? Find out next time, like and review!
