Chapter 1: Recap

Sup, Kronos is back. Oh boy, this trip gets weirder and weirder.

Back in the day, I was just floating around in the void, minding my own damn business. I was turned into a god against my will, and sent to another planet with a bunch of sapient horses. Met this one named Twilight Sparkle. Lovely mare. Taught me some magic and friendship, and helped me find and defeat my creator, along with an army of my fellow experiments (and a few ponies to boot). All fun and games until some other time guy comes around and tells me that some alien wants to make more hybrids (what we call victims of The Foundation) to take over the universe. I find this kid with a watch that turns him into aliens, and we rewrite time (again), only to find out Celestia was a warmonger and Luna got exiled because she wanted the power for herself. No one is a good guy, I guess? I made a deal with Tirek to try and find the creator of The Foundation, and got sent to this planet called Etheria. Where I was out cold for two weeks after floating in the vacuum of spa-

"You finished writing, kid? Lunch is in the mess hall in 5 minutes?" Catra asks me as I am busy writing down a recap in my log.

"Yeah yeah, I just write to stay sane, you know." I replied, putting my log back in my dresser drawer. Anyways, this Catra woman has been nice to me since I ended up on this planet, not in the same way Twilight was nice. Catra is more of a "tough love" kind of person. I follow her to the mess hall, where they are serving this really gross looking gruel. I have eaten worse (don't tell Rarity that), and I take my fill and sit down at the table.

"Is it true that the machine broke when Hordak himself tested your power level?" Kyle asked me, amazed at my power. I didn't even turn into my dragon form or use any time magic, but I broke the machine. Heh, training pays off, I guess.

"Yeah. I did a lot of cool stuff back on my home planet. It's a whole galaxy away, actually. No clue how I ended up here. Must've been a space mission gone wrong." I replied, making up some story as I try to fit into this new environment.

"What's your name?" Kyle asks me. "Nathan," I replied. I mean, I was in my human form, so using my human name is a smart idea.

"So, Nathan, we saved your sorry little butt from the vacuum of space, the least you can do is join the Horde." Catra says sarcastically, eager to find new recruits. "What now? I am from the next galaxy over, fill me in!"

"Well, we have control over like half of Andromeda, and there is this one outlying kingdom on the planet that is seditious and wants to kill us. We have a legit claim here." Catra says.

Hold on. Outlying kingdom? Tirek said something about a rogue state back when we made our deal. "Go on, I am interested." I replied. Maybe these bastards in the outlying state are the Foundation heads.

"Yeah, Bright Moon, bunch of idealistic losers. We lost a good recruit to them last month. Adora was something else." Kyle said about his old friend, who used to always beat him in mock battles.

"I'm in. I might have some vigilante shit to do there, if you don't mind, Force Captain." I say, eager to do some recon.

"Okay then, how good are you with robots? We have this crazy lady here who is amazing at building robots, but she needs a second pair of hands. Report to the R & D lab after lunch,second door to your right. Okay Nathan?" Catra says.

Robots? I love robots! I don't even finish my gruel and run off to the R & D lab.

UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY: NEW YORK CITY, EARTH, 2022

The UN is quite busy today, since this is the first conference with Equestria as a UN member state. The media was ablaze with rumors about Celestia, and where she went. All of that would be put aside today, as Queen Twilight Sparkle took the stand during the General Assembly.

"Greetings, Delegates. The past year and a half has been quite odd, for you Earthlings. 16 years ago, to the day, actually, Princess Celestia warned of a war to come to this planet, and you valiantly fought it off, with some help from Equestrian forces and your Hybrids. I elected to speak here today because it seems that my own country's history is more complicated than at face value, and my teacher, Princess Celestia, was actually a genocidal maniac eager to rule all."

The delegates were stunned. How could this be true? She seemed so elegant and poised on Earth.

"It seems that absolute power corrupts absolutely, so my first edict as sovereign of Equestria is to establish a constitutional monarchy, where the people (and ponies) decide who rules them. I invite legal scholars from around the world to come and visit my kingdom to help me draft this new system of government, and establish a parliament. Obviously, I want to keep my fancy castle, so I will remain a figurehead, with only ceremonial duties."

The British delegate was impressed. Obviously it would have to be Westminster style democracy.

The UN plenum burst into applause at this announcement. Democracy is always a win on Earth.

"Anyways, to more current events. My personal champion, Nathan Smith of America, has died." Twilight says, holding back tears. He made a bargain with Tirek, an evil being of hatred, to find the progenitor of The Foundation that experimented on him and countless other children, in exchange for my life being spared. It is my belief that Tirek broke his deal with the boy and killed him instead of sending him to this planet. I loved him like a brother, and now he is gone, forever. Nathan wasn't even the only casualty in this second conflict. Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter, was also murdered mercilessly by Tirek during the fighting. She was given a state funeral and buried with the highest honors. I humbly ask the UN for a moment of silence to remember these two heroic figures."

The UN obliged, remembering those who are gone.

"In more positive news, I am quite pleased that the Earth-Equestria exchange program for l students has done so well. Countless friends have been made, and friendship and camaraderie has never been higher. I couldn't be more thrilled. I never thought that Earthlings were capable of magic, their physiology is different from ours, but I was proven wrong. Some of our most gifted mages at the School for Gifted Unicorns are Earthlings, not even hybrids. I am sure their parents are incredibly proud. I hope the coming years can bring more prosperity to both of our planets, and I wish you all the best."

Twilight sure knows how to give a good speech, since she received a standing ovation. The rest of the UN General Assembly was rather boring. Talks about the South China Sea, climate change, and Iranian attempts to build a nuclear weapon, among other issues. Twilight thinks that Discord is working with them, since chaos is what he wants, and what is more chaotic than nuclear weapons. He was suspiciously AWOL during the Plumber saga. Perhaps he was on Earth?

The headlines for the next few weeks were all about this meeting, with titles such as "Queen Twilight Brings Democracy to Her Planet" and "God of Time No More!"

Regardless, the folks in Equestria were rather pleased with the new announcement of democracy. A constitution was established, based on the Magna Carta, US, and French Constitutions, giving rights to all Equestrian citizens, be they ponies, humans, or other races. Governments were to last four years (unless a snap election were to be called), with a two term limit for prime ministers, to ensure the vibrancy of the democracy. The first election in Equestria's history gave a majority government to Rarity's Generosity Party (a centre-right conservative party focusing heavily on economic growth and charitable deeds). The Generosity Party won 275 out of 500 seats in the Horseshoe (Parliament) making her Prime Minister of Equestria for the next four years.

After Rarity won the election, she began to have daily meetings with Twilight in Canterlot to discuss her agenda. Economic reform, liberalization of the Equestrian economy, and tax credits for charitable donations.

"Okay, Rarity, your agenda seems rather solid. You have a majority, so I just need to give royal assent to whatever you want to pass. All's good." Twilight says. She is happy that Equestria finally has democracy, so she won't make the same mistakes as her teacher, but she is still heartbroken over my alleged death. It shows, and Rarity notices something wrong.

"You okay, Twilight?" Rarity asks. Twilight breaks into tears. "I miss Nathan!!! He taught me so much and now he's dead. He was like a brother to me. I haven't been able to think straight since he died. What should I do, Rarity?" Twilight says, embracing her friend.

Rarity takes a moment to think about the best thing to say to her friend: "Well, what you should do is find his alicorn counterpart. If they are the same person, but on different planets, then maybe he can detect his life energy if he is still alive. I mean, I met human Rarity at the UN General Assembly. She works with The New Yorker as a fashion correspondent, fresh out of college, and was quite surprised that her counterpart was head of state." Rarity suggested. "You know, I always thought Nathan was quite handsome, myself." she said, blushing.

"I am well aware of that, and I could have sworn that Dashie told you he wasn't interested. He only is interested in humans. Equestrian DNA is much more malleable, that's why earth ponies can marry pegasi, unicorns, etc. Humans aren't like that. He told me a while back that he has a crush on the human Vinyl Scratch/DJ-PON3, a young woman named Veronica Schroeder. She's a Hybrid also, and they would be good together."

Rarity is upset with this reality check. "Hold on, let me find the other Nathan." She says, quickly summoning him with magic. He spawns right in front of the two leaders, a bit baffled at why he's here. He didn't even finish drinking his morning coffee.

"Ah, Kronos, lovely to see you here today. We need a favor. As you probably know, your human counterpart might have died during my fight with Tirek a while back. I have a suspicion that he might actually be alive."

Alicorn Kronos was not surprised by this theory. It is nearly impossible to kill a time god, so it would make sense that I might be alive somewhere in the universe.

"So, you want me to detect his energy, since we are both linked to the fourth dimension?" Alicorn Kronos asked. The two leading ponies nodded in approval, and Alicorn Kronos' eyes turned pure white, as he scanned all of time and space for his human counterpart. After 15 agonizing minutes of waiting for any kind of response, Alicorn Kronos' eyes return to their natural hazel color, and he takes a minute to catch his breath.

"I have good news, and I have bad news, Queen Twilight." Alicorn Kronos says.

"Tell me the good news first!" Rarity and Twilight say in unison.

"Well, the good news is Nathan is alive and well."

Twilight starts crying and hugs Rarity. "I knew it! I knew he would be alive, even though I saw him disintegrate into atoms." She says with glee

"I am not finished. The bad news is he is a galaxy and a half away, on a planet called Etheria. Maybe that is where Tirek sent him, I don't know all the details, but his power level is much lower than it should be. Maybe he is repressing it? If I was you I would go to this planet and figure out where he is, and stop him before he goes vigilante on whoever created The Foundation. You seem to be the only pony who can talk any sense into him. I can't even do it, and I am literally him!" Alicorn Kronos says, laughing as he summons his coffee from his house.

"Etheria, never heard of that planet before." Twilight says as she projects a map of the Local Group of galaxies onto her castle wall, and filters it down to the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxies. "I see Etheria over here! In the Andromeda galaxy." Twilight says as she writes down the coordinates on a piece of paper, so she can program her teleportation spell accordingly.

"Wait, if you are going to this Etheria planet, who will run Equestria?" Rarity asks Twilight.

"Uhh, you will, dingus. You are the prime minister, are you not?" Twilight replies sarcastically.

"Spike, I am going on another road trip. Hold the fort for me!"

"Damn it, not again!" Spike said. He is tired of always having to clean up after Twilight and her friends while they were off doing cool stuff. He never got to go on these adventures. Maybe he should just go to the Diamond Dogs and plunder stuff, he won't be bored that way...

And with that, she opens a portal to Etheria, and walks through, leaving Spike and Rarity to their own devices.

"Well, looks like someone is going to help me with my paperwork, isn't that right, Spike?" Rarity says, teleporting herself and the young dragon off to her office to work on her agenda.

"Well, glad I was able to help. I have my own shit to do now, like ask out Vinyl Scratch (the pony version)." Alicorn Kronos said, as he flew off to his cabin, eager to impress his crush.

FRONTIER OF THE KINGDOM OF BRIGHTMOON: ETHERIA

Twilight walks out of her portal, which closes behind her, and appears in a rather similar environment to Equestria. It was quite colourful, with lots of plants, animals, and people. "This planet isn't so bad, I don't see why I was so stressed about coming here in the first place." Twilight says to herself, walking around, before noticing a group of humanoid soldiers antagonizing innocent townspeople, watching the events unfold at a safe distance.

"Cease resisting. The Horde demands you pay your taxes." The soldier says, revealing his ray gun at his side. This was supposed to be a normal tax run, but the townsfolk are more rebellious than usual today.

"We already paid taxes last month. Leave us alone!" One woman says, as the soldier grabs the woman by the shirt and frisks her, eager to plunder whatever goods she might have on her person. He found 100 gold coins, and took them for himself.

"If I was you, I would stop what you are doing right now, and run while you still can!" A young woman says, leading a horse through the town square.

"Huh, these horses look more like the ones on Earth, not like us. Weird." Twilight thinks to herself.

"And what are you possibly going to do about that, little girl?" The soldier says.

That was the soldier's first mistake. The woman moved her blonde hair out of her face, and unsheathed a sword from her back, and raised it high into the air, with its reflection glistening off of her lightning blue eyes.

"For the Honor of Grayskull!" she said, as she began to transform into a larger, more powerful version of herself. She sends a massive blast of energy at the horse, turning it into an alicorn.

"Well, this is new. Alicorns on this planet, and superheroes? The fun never ends, does it?" Twilight says to herself, watching the young warrior disarm the soldier and give the money back to the woman. The soldier told his two men to retreat, and the three of them left before any more damage could be done

"I must say, that was rather impressive!" Twilight says, revealing herself to the girl and the alicorn.

"Woah, woah, another alicorn? I thought I was the only one, Adora? So weird" The alicorn says.

"Hush, Swift Wind, we don't know who this being is, and whether they are with us or not." Adora says. She walks over to Twilight and stares at her.

"I am She-Ra, guardian of Etheria and protector of the innocent. Who are you, and what are you doing in Etheria?" Adora asks Twilight kindly but with a hint of suspicion.

"Well, I am Queen Twilight Sparkle, and my best friend got kidnapped and is somewhere on this planet. He might be compromised." Twilight responds.

"How interesting. Come with me, and we will discuss this further." She-Ra says, mounting Swift Wind and flying off towards a castle in the distance.

Twilight was still not 100% used to the idea of humans using equines as transport. She saw it demeaning and humiliating. Regardless, she put her own thoughts aside and followed the pair, eager to see if these two are on the right side or not.

"I sure hope these two aren't with The Foundation…" Twilight says to herself.
