Evening had come to Beacon Academy and the first day of the Vytal festival was over. Now the teams were relaxing and getting their rest so they could have their energy for the next day. Jaune and his team were currently hanging out with Team RWBY and Team SSSN getting food at a local restaurant. They all had decided that they should go out to eat to celebrate all three teams getting a win on the first day. Not to mention that the cafeteria was crowded as all living hell, so they didn't want any part of that.
The restaurant they picked was fairly simple and very welcoming, it had all kinds of foods that they could ask for and it was not that expensive. Weiss wanted to go to a fancy restaurant but everyone else decided against that idea because they were against etiquette for the night, not to mention expensive meals. Weiss was reluctant but managed to get over it as she didn't want to be a buzzkill and more importantly give Neptune a bad impression.
So here they were now, munching on their food, conversing with one another, and enjoying themselves. It shocked Jaune and Ren how much Nora and Pyrrha could eat and not put on a pound, but they secretly liked it. Jaune found it funny how whenever they went to a restaurant Ruby and Yang had no table manners and Weiss would call them out on it. He couldn't really blame her though especially now as Ruby and Yang were scarfing down a hot dog and chicken wings.
Jaune just shook his head with amusement and continued eating his fried crab legs along with the delicious sauce that the restaurant provided. He still couldn't believe that he liked them so much, after having a very unique and strict palette. His mom didn't like that pallet though and demanded that he try new things, to which he did just so he could get her off his back. Jaune tried a few things and he ended up liking crab legs the most much to his disbelief.
Everyone was chatting and even the anti-social Blake Belladonna was enjoying a certain Sun Wukong's company, he hoped that it worked out for them. Jaune was glad to have made the friends that he made this year considering back at Kingsglaive he didn't really have many friends and didn't have this kind of experience. Jaune was fine with it, considering that Talia and the others just used these kinds of events to talk badly about people and make more rumors. Jaune would much rather just stay home and chill rather than do that.
While he was on the topic, he wondered if what Talia said earlier was true and that they were all going to leave Jaune and his team alone. Jaune wanted to believe that it was true, but he knew that it wasn't. Those girls were not going to take no for an answer and Jaune knew they were probably going to try something drastic and even more annoying. Hell, they may even get their equally as annoying mothers to contact his mom and complain, which he did not want because his mother had enough going on.
Jaune suddenly felt something hit against his shoulder and he saw that it was his girlfriend lying her head down on him peacefully. He kissed her and she kissed back while snuggling into his embrace even further and Jaune wrapped his arm around her. He loved having Pyrrha by his side, he considered himself really lucky to be with her. Jaune didn't notice but Neptune was looking at him with jealousy in his eyes, mostly because Jaune was the only guy at the table with a girlfriend. Sun spoke up suddenly and everyone gave him their attention.
"So, who do you guys have going into the doubles round tomorrow?" Sun asked his friends.
"Sorry Sun, Team JNPR doesn't give away any unneeded information-" Jaune tried to say but a certain hyper ginger haired girl spoke up.
"Me and Ren are gonna kick everyone's butt!" Nora cheered with enthusiasm.
"Dammit Nora…" Jaune groaned in frustration as his friends just laughed at him and Pyrrha rubbed him on the back.
"Don't worry baby, the outcome is still gonna be the same even if they know now." Pyrrha said sweetly.
"Yeah but Nora ruined our strategy." Jaune whined as he laid his head on Pyrrha's shoulder and she kissed his head.
"That's where you're wrong though, Weiss and I are gonna be the ones kicking everyone's butt in the next round!" Yang said while pumping her fist in the air and her team cheered behind her.
"Huh, fisticuffs and the princess as a duo, what an unlikely combination." Jaune commented as the girls glared at him.
"Don't mean to burst you guys bubble, but Team SSSN is gonna be the one to take home the trophy at this year's Vytal Festival! As for the duos, me and Neptune are going leave all of you dead in the water!" Sun boasted and his team backed him up while everyone else glared at him.
"Wait but doesn't Neptune hate the water?" Jaune asked and Team SSSN faltered.
"Well uh, doesn't matter we still got this!" Sun tried to recuperate but everyone just laughed.
"No you don't, Team RWBY is the team that's going to be taking home the trophy!" Ruby cheered and her team got behind her.
"Ooh fighting words…" Pyrrha said while smirking at the challenge ahead.
Jaune smiled at his team and the other team's banter, there was truly nothing like being around a bunch of rivals. It was also good that they were all friends and not just people who wanted to one up the other, that made it more fun. Knowing that everyone was going to bring their A-game made them all more excited for what was to come, and at the end it was very likely one of the teams would win the whole thing, so it was a win-win sort to speak.
Jaune made a note to ask his mother one of these days what the Vytal Festival was like for her when she was a student at Beacon. Come to think of it, he didn't really know much about her team considering that he just found out about his dad a month ago. He knew that she was friends with Professor Oobleck and Professor Port considering that they were colleagues in the present but who else? Maybe she was friends with Ruby and Yang's fathers, though he had to wonder if Ruby's dad was as crazy back then as he was today.
The group chatted for a little while longer before deciding to head back to Beacon to get ready for the next round of the tournament. Thank God too because Yang and Nora had talked about doing a contest on who could eat the most dessert and neither team wanted any part of that outcome. Jaune had made it clear that he was not carrying Nora all the way back to their dorm room to which Pyrrha and Ren agreed causing Nora to pout. The rest of team RWBY had the same reaction causing Yang to stick their tongue out at them.
As the group was walking back the girls were all huddled together talking about shopping or something that Jaune and the boys wanted no part of. Jaune took this time to pull out his scroll and look at some earrings that he was thinking about purchasing. What was wrong with wanting more than one pair anyway? Plus, he needed to treat himself every now and then no matter how much his mother said he should do the opposite. Suddenly his attention was broken by Neptune tapping him on the shoulder.
"Hey Jaune?" Neptune said.
"Yeah? What's up Neptune?" Jaune asked curiously.
"How did you manage to get Pyrrha to be your girlfriend?" Neptune asked with some desperation in his eyes.
"Uh I asked her out why?" Jaune asked curious at where this was coming from.
"Wait, it was that easy?! Like you didn't have to use any pick-up lines or anything?" Neptune asked dumbfounded and Jaune laughed.
"Nah I didn't, why was I supposed to?" Jaune asked amused.
"Dude, that's normally what a guy has to do to get a girl to like him and you didn't have to do that? I mean bro you two are practically joined at the hip and she was all over you at dinner, how did you make that happen?" Neptune asked wanting to know Jaune's techniques.
"Um, we flirted at initiation and kept flirting for a few weeks, then I took her to dinner and asked her out and then here we are. Maybe I am just different than other guys." Jaune said with a smile.
"Man, if only all of us had your kind of gift." Neptune said with a groan and Jaune laughed.
"Neptune for God's sake, just ask the princess out and be through with the stress forever." Jaune said while patting him on the shoulder before putting in his headphones.
Neptune thought about what Jaune said and honestly he may have been overthinking this whole thing with Weiss. In truth Neptune was jealous of Jaune like a lot of other guys were, he was dating a tournament champion and the most beautiful girl in Beacon. Not only that but he made it look easy and it was clear that Pyrrha liked him a lot. Maybe he should take Jaune's advice and ask Weiss out on a date, he didn't want to prolong it anymore and it was clear he was running out of lines.
The group got back to Beacon and went their separate ways and back to their rooms. Nora was skipping and talking about pancakes, but Jaune made it clear that she had enough sugar for one night and used an authoritative tone in telling Nora that she wasn't having pancakes tonight. This caused Nora to glare at him, but Pyrrha and Ren nodded in agreement. Team JNPR said goodnight to Team RWBY and walked inside their room for some rest.
Ren said that he would take the first shower and Nora called dibs on the second one which was fine with Jaune and Pyrrha. Jaune laid on his bed with one hand on his scroll and had his other arm outstretched inviting his girlfriend to snuggle with him and she complied happily. Pyrrha embraced her boyfriend and cupped his face with her hands before capturing his lips and Jaune returned the favor. The couple exchanged kisses before smiling at each other, Jaune could not get over Pyrrha's beautiful eyes that looked like shining emeralds.
Today had been a pretty good day for Jaune, his team won in the first round, and they made it look easy. Then he got to hang out more with his girlfriend and his team which was always a good thing. The only really bad things that happened today were that Talia and the others came up to him with their bullshit, but Pyrrha had put a stop to it. Then there was the fight between Ruby's dad and Weiss' sister, but Jaune found it hilarious how they both looked like idiots. All in all, today was a pretty good day and he couldn't wait for tomorrow.
Unfortunately, Jaune was the only Goodwitch that was ending his day on a good note. Glynda Goodwitch was currently in an elevator going to Ozpin's office along with the Professor and reluctantly Qrow Branwen. Glynda was still incredibly annoyed that her happiness of Jaune winning his first Vytal Festival match was ruined by that drunk and Ironwood's assistant destroying the courtyard. Not to mention that Qrow had the audacity to try and threaten her son, it took a lot of Ozpin's strength to hold her back.
Qrow had been out of contact for weeks and he had the nerve to come down here on today of all days and do this nonsense? Glynda didn't think so and she was incredibly annoyed that Qrow hadn't grown up at all and was keeping up his antics. It was one of the main reasons why she wasn't surprised at Ruby Rose Branwen and her team causing destruction in Vale, she was just like her father. In fact, it was also the reason why Glynda was glad that Qrow and Jaune didn't interact much since she didn't want Jaune getting any of Qrow's crazy ideas.
Though Glynda was proud of Jaune for standing tall and not letting Qrow intimidate him, not that Qrow was very intimidating in the first place. Whenever she saw Qrow, Glynda could not help but think of the friends she had that were Team STRQ back when she was a student at Beacon. She wondered if Tai had finally picked up his weapon again or if he was still wallowing in his own misery. She also thought of Raven and how she was doing, even though Glynda knew she returned to the tribe she had a good feeling that Raven didn't just walk off without saying a word, but she knew that Qrow and Tai would never admit it.
The last person that was on Glynda's mind was her good friend Summer Rose, who unfortunately passed away years ago. Though it is not known what happened to her, Glynda secretly had a good idea of what happened. When Qrow and Ozpin told her that she left one day and never came back, Glynda knew that meant Summer had tried to fight the grimm witch known as Salem, believing that her silver eyes would be enough.
Yes, Glynda knew about the phenomenon that were the silver eyes and knew that it was the reason for Ozpin letting Ruby Rose Branwen in so early. While Glynda did not really agree with it, she knew that Ozpin would not change his mind and Qrow would have no problem with his daughter attending early. Both men believed that they needed to do whatever it took to stop the calamity that was Salem and Qrow trusted Ozpin more than anyone to keep his daughter safe.
Glynda had to wonder though how much longer she could keep the secret of Salem safe from Jaune, because she really didn't want him to get involved in this conflict. She was secretly glad that she was able to keep an eye on him day to day and was able to see him grow daily. The last thing that she needed was for Ozpin to try and get her son to be involved in this war, which she knew that he would considering that Jaune was strong and had a powerful semblance. Just then a voice got Glynda out of her thoughts.
"Are you still mad? I said I was sorry." Qrow said annoyed and Glynda just rolled her eyes.
"Yes you said you were sorry in your typical and annoying sarcastic voice, meaning you didn't mean it." Glynda said while glaring at Qrow.
"Maybe your brat should learn how to mind his own business!" Qrow snarked.
"Maybe you should learn to quit acting like a child and show some restraint, then I wouldn't have to put the whole damn courtyard back together! Oh, and by the way, my 'brat' has had to save you and Tai's brats multiple times after they did something stupid. So instead of complaining about how he told James that you destroyed his robots, maybe you should be thanking him." Glynda said with her eyes narrowed and Qrow scoffed.
"Alright you two that's enough, what happened earlier was chaotic but thankfully no one was hurt, and everything turned out fine. Let's just be thankful for that." Ozpin said trying to placate the two.
"You heard the man Glynda." Qrow said smugly with a smirk, but it dropped when Glynda got in his face.
"I heard him and now you are hearing me, I don't care that we are apart of this secret society or whatever this is. If you EVER get in my son's face and try to harass him again, Salem will be the least of your worries. Do you understand?" Glynda asked coldly with a death glare and Qrow nodded a bit freaked out.
Glynda acknowledged that she had made her point clear and excited the elevator once it hit Ozpin's office. General Ironwood was standing near Ozpin's desk with his arms crossed while Winter Schnee was pacing the room. Both of these Atlas elites were clearly still upset about what transpired and who could really blame them? Qrow had destroyed their robots and Winter had clearly lost her temper when dealing with the man. Hence why the two sent death glares at Qrow when he walked out of the elevator, but the man didn't care.
"What were you thinking?!" Winter asked upset.
"If you were one of my men, I would have you shot!" Ironwood said in a threatening tone but Qrow just scoffed.
"If I was one of your men I would shoot myself." Qrow said nonchalantly as he took out his flask.
"While I wouldn't condone his behavior, retaliating like you did certainly didn't help the situation." Glynda scolded Winter who looked offended.
"He was drunk!" Winter exclaimed trying to defend herself.
"He's always drunk, you might want to get used to it." Glynda said as they all stared at Qrow drinking from his flask.
"Sigh, Qrow why are you even here?" Ozpin asked starting to get irritated.
"You have been out of contact for weeks, you can't just go dark like that in the field!" Ironwood chastised.
"I'm not one of your special operatives Jimmy!" Qrow said mockingly.
"General." Winter corrected him in annoyance.
"Whatever, you sent me to get intel on our enemy and I am telling you that our enemy is here." Qrow informed them.
"We know." Ironwood said simply.
"Oh you know? Well thank goodness that I'm out there risking my life to keep you all informed!" Qrow said appalled and annoyed.
"Qrow-" Ironwood tried to say but was interrupted.
"Communication is a two-way streak pal, see this that is the send button!" Qrow informed them.
"Oh yes, because you were clearly going to pick up the first time we would call you. Certainly, you wouldn't be at the bars or taverns flirting with waitresses or anything stupid like that." Glynda said annoyed and Qrow glared at her.
"They all had reason to assume that you had been compromised." Winter said trying to get through to the drunk.
"And I have reason to believe that you don't need to be here! Seriously, who invited her?" Qrow asked annoyed and Winter glared at him.
"Schnee, we'll discuss this incident back on my ship." Ironwood told Winter who looked shocked.
"But sir!" Winter tried to say but was met with Ironwood's glare.
"Winter, leave." Ironwood commanded and Winter looked defeated.
"Yes sir!" Winter said with a salute as she took her leave.
Winter walked to the elevator while glaring at Qrow who was looking at her with a smirk on his face, considering that he got his way. Glynda could not help but feel annoyed at Qrow and a bit bad for Winter Schnee as she was just doing her job. Qrow and his stupid antics were the real cause of what happened earlier, and James could have been more lenient with her. What's done was done though and Winter got into the elevator and went downstairs, causing Qrow to get a more serious look on his face.
"Go on." Ironwood told Qrow to get on with it.
"Your little infiltrator is not just another pawn; they are the ones responsible for Autumn's condition." Qrow informed them and all of their eyes widened.
"Wait, what?!" Glynda asked alarmed.
Amber who they had codenamed Autumn, was currently the Fall Maiden and was apart of their circle. Unfortunately, she had been attacked suddenly and even her powers were not enough to save her, though it probably was because she was so inexperienced at using them. She had been injured so bad that she was currently in a comatose state, not even her aura would heal her. There was nothing they could do either, and she couldn't be the Fall Maiden anymore so they would have to find a replacement for her. The question was who…
"Despite what the world thinks we are not just teachers, or generals, or headmasters. The people in this room, the leaders of the other two academies, we are the ones who keep the world safe from the evils that no one even knows about. It's why we meet behind closed doors, why we work in the shadows, so you tell me James when you brought your army to vale, did you think you were being discreet? Or did you just not give a damn?" Qrow asked as he got in Ironwood's face.
"I would also like to hear this answer." Glynda said as she looked at James who sighed.
"Discreet wasn't working." Ironwood said simply as he took out his scroll and put it in hologram mode.
"I am here because this is what was necessary given what's going on." Ironwood said as he pointed to the hologram of Vale, but Qrow disagreed.
"You are here because Ozpin wanted you here! He made you a part of this inner circle and opened your eyes to the real fight that is in front of us." Qrow said while pointing at Ozpin.
"And I am grateful." Ironwood said but he didn't really sound like he was.
"Well, you have a funny way of showing it." Qrow said with a glare.
"The people of Vale needed someone to protect them, someone that would act. When they look to the sky and see my fleet, they feel safe, and our enemies will know our strength." Ironwood said with confidence, but Qrow laughed.
"You think that our enemies are going to be scared of your little ships?! I have been out there and let me tell you that her little creations that she has made are fear." Qrow said seriously.
"James, I had a conversation with Jaune a few weeks ago to talk about the things that have been going on. He said that he agrees with keeping things on the down low is the best way to go about because he does not want any panic to happen, since he knows what that brings. And then here you come with your army and pretty much tell the world that something big is going to happen. So, tell me James, how is it my seventeen-year-old can understand things but you can't?" Glynda asked with an annoyed frown on her face and James glared at her.
"Nevertheless, fear brings the grimm, and that is something we cannot afford. A guardian is a symbol of comfort, but an army is a symbol of conflict. There is an energy in the air now, a question in the back of everyone's minds. If this is the size of our defenses, what is it we are expecting to fight?" Ozpin asked and Ironwood looked conflicted.
Ironwood truly believed that doing things his way was the best option, showing the citizens that they would be safe no matter what may come their way. That was his job after all, protecting the people above all else and he believed it was necessary for his fleet to be there. He didn't consider the panic that it could cause though as the people were smarter than James believed, and they would know something was up. The last thing they needed was for the people to start freaking out before Salem and army even made a move. James sighed and picked up his scroll.
"So then, what would you suggest we do?" Ironwood asked Ozpin in annoyance at not getting his way.
"I suggest we find our guardian." Ozpin instructed and they all nodded, although some were reluctant.
Ironwood still believed that having his fleet in the sky was the best solution and necessary, he didn't like having to rely on this guardian. Yet he knew that it would fall on deaf ears, so he just went with everyone else's choice to follow Ozpin's command. Glynda was also reluctant because she knew that finding their guardian meant that they were finding a new replacement for Amber. The reason why Glynda was nervous was because she had a good idea who Ozpin was thinking about for the replacement, and unfortunately it was someone close to her son…
Meanwhile in the room of the group visiting from Haven, the members were discussing their next steps. All three of them were annoyed because it just seemed that it was one bad thing after another. As if having Roman get caught and start that operation early wasn't irritating enough, it seemed that the man responsible for saving the Fall Maiden had come to Beacon for the festivities. Cinder still believed that their plan could work but there were definitely more roadblocks now.
"Mercury, you're positive it was him?" Cinder asked the gray-haired boy.
"Bad hair, used a scythe, and smelled like my dad after a long day, it was definitely him." Mercury informed them.
"What should we do Cinder?" Emerald asked a bit worried.
"We do nothing, we will stay the course because they have no idea who we are so there really is nothing to worry about." Cinder said with a smirk on her face.
"Cinder are you sure about that? Ironwood is starting to display more of his power and that guy coming here puts more pressure on us. Not to mention Jaune Goodwitch is still wary of us though he has backed off for some reason." Emerald said as she put her thumb under her chin.
"I know, but don't worry because the last of the heavy lifting is being taken care of thanks to our clever little friend. Speaking of which, it appears that we have a new access point." Cinder said in delight as a picture of Ironwood appeared on her scroll.
"Anywhere good?" Emerald asked.
"You could say that, go to your rooms and I'll prepare everything for tomorrow." Cinder ordered.
"Yes Ma'am." Emerald said.
"Got it." Mercury responded as they got up and went to their rooms.
Cinder took a look at the new access point that she was given, it was to the system that was responsible for creating the matches for the Vytal Festival. She smirked to herself, she could really cause some real trouble with this at her disposal, it pretty much gave her the Vytal Festival at the palm of her hand. This was the prime opportunity to show Emerald and Mercury's skills against some tough opponents and she was going to use that opportunity.
"Let's give the crowd a good fight…" Cinder said while smirking as she placed her subordinates against Coco Adel and Yatsuhashi Daichi.
Speaking of the subordinates, Mercury and Emerald were walking back to their rooms with thoughts on how things would go from here on out. When they first came here, they both thought that accomplishing this mission would be a breeze and that nothing could stop them. That with the help of Roman Torchwick and the White Fang they could destroy Beacon and Cinder could grab the maiden powers liked they had planned. But their confidence dwindled after these last few months.
At first, Mercury and Emerald believed that the students at Beacon were nothing more than children with fancy weapons and that they were not dangerous. How wrong they were, because after seeing people like Jaune Goodwitch, Pyrrha Nikos and the others, they made them chew on their words. Jaune Goodwitch was an incredible fighter and had such a powerful semblance that he could stand against any foe. Pyrrha Nikos was a tournament champion so she of course would be a problem, not to mention that the rest of their team were no slouches either.
That group as well as Team RWBY had already proven that they could take down the White Fang soldiers not to mention Roman Torchwick's henchmen, considering what happened at the docks. That meant that they would probably do the same, which meant Adam Taurus and Cinder would have to get involved as well as Emerald or Mercury. The panic would probably help their odds, but Emerald and Mercury worried about how quickly they could accomplish the mission.
"Can I ask you something?" Emerald asked Mercury.
"What is it?" Mercury asked a bit bewildered.
"Do you think that this mission will go off without a hitch? I trust Cinder's judgement, but I feel like more and more problems are showing up." Emerald admitted and Mercury sighed.
"Look I get where you are coming from, but we can't just give up now. I will admit that there are a lot of people here that could cause trouble for our plan but as long as we just stick to it then we will be fine. With all the panic that is going to go down, those losers will have other things to worry about than us." Mercury said confidently with a smirk, but Emerald didn't look convinced.
"Mercury, you can't possibly think it is going to be that easy. I mean you saw how strong Jaune Goodwitch and Pyrrha Nikos are, they took down those White Fang lackeys like they were nothing! So did their team and Team RWBY, what makes you think that things will go differently this time around?" Emerald asked skeptically and Mercury's smirk fell.
He knew that what Emerald was saying was true even though he did not want to admit it. He doubted that he could take Jaune Goodwitch on in a 1-on-1 fight, hell just look what happened in that practice match. The guy didn't even use his full strength nor his semblance and yet he still managed to take Mercury out. Maybe that Adam guy would be able to take Jaune on but with that powerful semblance of his Mercury had his doubts.
Then there was the tournament champion Pyrrha Nikos, who clearly had earned the title of Invincible Girl. Mercury knew for a fact that if Cinder didn't get the rest of those maiden powers then Pyrrha could go head-to-head with her. Then there was Team RWBY who loved ruining their plans and Mercury had no doubt that they would be the frontrunners in stopping their next one. The more that Mercury thought about it there were some troubles, but he wouldn't let it get to him.
"Look we just have to face the truth, and the truth is that failure cannot be an option. I don't want to know what Salem will do to us if we don't pull this off so use that as your motivation." Mercury told her seriously and Emerald nodded.
Emerald knew that Mercury was right, there was no way that they could fail or else Salem would punish them and she really did not want to see that grimm witch when she was angry. She just had to trust that the plan would work out and that the chaos would be enough cover for them. Not to mention that Emerald and her semblance were a really big part of the plan so she couldn't have doubts now. With that in mind she went back to the room with Mercury, hoping that everything would go smoothly.
The next morning came and soon the second day of the Vytal Festival was upon the students of every academy. Today was the day of the doubles round in which two members from each team would be competing for victory over the other. For Team JNPR, Ren and Nora would be competing so that when they won Pyrrha could go to singles round and display her champion status. Nora dragged Ren off for some last-minute practice and told their other two teammates that they would meet them at the stadium.
So here the couple was in their room, engaging in one of their favorite pastimes which was making out. Pyrrha was feeling all over Jaune's muscles and chiseled chest since he did not have his big coat on. Jaune was doing just what Pyrrha wanted him to do which was massage her hips and have his lips on hers. The couple was in heaven and both of them agreed that they could do this for hours as they were just lying on Jaune's bed kissing and whispering sweet nothing's to each other.
"You're so beautiful Pyrrha." Jaune said with a smile as Pyrrha nuzzled him.
"And you are so handsome Jaune, I love you so much." Pyrrha said sweetly as she kissed him.
"Yeah but I love you more." Jaune said with a smirk and Pyrrha had a pout on her face.
"Sorry dear but that isn't possible." Pyrrha said with a smirk of her own as she was circling her finger around Jaune's chest.
"Oh yeah?" Jaune threatened playfully with a glare and Pyrrha glared back.
"Yeah!" Pyrrha said with finality as she and Jaune's lips met and remained locked for a little while until Jaune pulled away reluctantly.
"While I wish this could last forever we have to get going, we don't want to miss Nora and Ren's match do we?" Jaune asked with a smile and Pyrrha looked annoyed.
"Dammit, I was enjoying that!" Pyrrha complained and Jaune just laughed.
"Don't worry gorgeous, our teammates will win their match and we can come back here and have as much fun as we want for as long as we want." Jaune assured as he wrapped his arms around Pyrrha.
"That sounds good handsome, make sure you watch your shows in advanced then because it will be a long while." Pyrrha said with a smirk as she wrapped her arms around Jaune's neck.
"I can't wait." Jaune said with a smile as he captured Pyrrha's lips one more time and Pyrrha kissed back eagerly.
The two made out for a few more minutes before pulling apart and heading out the door to go to the stadium. Jaune had his arm wrapped around Pyrrha who was leaning into him with a smile on her face. Pyrrha really thought that she was the luckiest girl in the world, she had a great boyfriend, a great team, and great friends. It was such an upgrade from what she had at Sanctum because everyone was jealous of her Champion status. She really thought that nothing could bring her down from the joy she was experience. Little did she know that her world would be turned upside down in a few hours…
