"Wafu." She breathed out the world's solace, fog blew outside her mouth as they dissipated into the air. The breeze brushed along her pale bare thigh, fluttering her skirt as she pressed it downwards against the wind.

In her hands was a child that joyously hummed a certain magical girl anime theme song. Skipping along the concrete of which she berated the said child that she may trip, that still didn't stop the petite girl to be merry.

Just a while ago, she had parted ways from an individual that had a fierce-looking fish eyes, without heeding any explanations at all to her outburst, grimacing that he now had thought of her as weird now.

Not like she can do anything about it now, it already happened. Sighed as they arrived at their location.

"Bye-Bye, Onee-san!" The petite child waved its hand in glee, as the child afterwards sprinted into a clique of children in the same age and stature as her. Certainly, they were quite early. The hallways were desolate, only occasionally coming across teachers and students that too arrived the same early morning.

Even then, she still returned back a wave, forming the same grin the same as the child did. Given that she was now left to her own devices, she still stood there for a few moments, before walking to the exit. On her way there, was the teachers greeting her, being particularly known as the person that always accompanies the cheery Louis to school. Albeit standing out as of a sore thumb as the others that gathers here sending off their children were their parents unlike her that wore a student uniform.

Finally feeling the cold chill of the outside once more, she tucked in the scarf neatly on her neck. Coughing out a slight fog into the morning blues, then suddenly remembering the boy she crossed paths with earlier, was wearing quite a light jacket, even as so far to not wear a scarf in this freezing weather this early in the day.

He might've underestimated the weather, huh.

Knowing him that he's not really a morning person, it had seemed like this was his first roundabout of going outside this early in the morning.

Or was it because he was in a rush that he had forgotten,

Murmuring her complaints, being the main complaints that his issues mostly revolved around that girl.

"Haah," Breathing warmth into her gloved hands, she could whine all day to her sister about it but in the end, it'll reach nothing in that regard. Not knowing whether to feel any animosity or plain jealousy towards that ungrateful woman, scoffing at the fact his efforts were only leading to futile.

It was a losing battle, even after that girl's reclusiveness, his affections were still being ensnared. Though she thought about it, beforehand that girl was the school's idol, praised by every student albeit some women still felt envy, she was still then in the spotlight. Being admired by everyone, of course, people would notice and be concerned about her whereabouts when she became suddenly absent for a day, then the next, and after.

Then again, it was natural to be concerned, but no one was surprised. It was after that incident she became a recluse. Certainly, everyone in her class was worried, so they visited. Only to be turned away by none-other than her. Slowly, everyone just stopped visiting, it had seemed like her idol-like status was that fragile to begin with.

Well, it wasn't strictly everyone. There had been some others close to her that still did come-by time to time, but it doesn't compete to the other person that visit as much as much then became its habit.

It was that said person, named as Natsuki Subaru. Notably popular at school though not having the same degree as that girl, he had been renowned for being unusually kind. The reason for its unusuality was the first impression of one that he was thought of as a delinquent, having an intimidating gaze, to whoever that wasn't acquainted with him. Only to be surprised wholly when they come to understand for who he is.

Mildly joked about being a pushover, he goes on a ramble denying coming to realize that he's just fanning flames of that person's point, as the others smiled and laugh, he too joins in. Making any situation have its light mood was his forte, genuinely kind to those around him.

That is the reason why she took an interest to the said boy, and yet, she could only look at him from far back. She felt distance from this enigmatic man to be unreachable, as it meant she could only watch his everyday eccentricities.

It was also the reason why she's having mixed feelings about the way of things, being the case of that girl and him. She looked at the sky, as she began to grumble about it.

"Reeeeeeem-saaaan!" Just then, she heard a very loud shouting of her name from a far distance that's slowly nearing in. Feeling a tap on her right shoulder, she instinctively looks that direction, only to find no one, then hearing a blast of 'yo!' at her left.

Becoming startled, she quickly looked back to the source of the almost deafness of her left ear. Revealing a glimmering golden-haired woman, though its shininess differs to Louis being that the petite child has hers paled.

"Oh, it's you Frederica-san." Voicing her words in monotone, the smile that the woman had turned into a frown.

"You don't have to sound so disappointed," Patting down her back with quite a force, grinning wide as its sharp teeth reflected alike of a glitter.

Seeing the woman's outgoingness, compared to her that could only chuckle bitterly.

"You look troubled, Rem-san."

It would've been more troubling to know that the woman was surprisingly perspective at times. Then comes a decision to whether feign ignorance, or let her in what was the reason of her turmoil.

"It's about a boy, isn't it?" It really was troubling, the ever-gazing eyes caught on to something of an insignificant hesitation.

The girl named Rem, having an ocean-blue tint of hair, swaying along the wind ever so slightly, having a bob-cut that barely reaches her shoulder. Usually known as the girl that was stoic, was now showing a look of fluster.

"C'mon, tell me who is it?!" Becoming weirdly hyped as the woman shouted in her ears even more, "It's been a while since I had a girl talk, you know?" Grumbling about as she crossed her arms in a pout.

Then again, it was surprising to know that the woman didn't have this kind of talk most often than her impressions of being very much outgoing.

The sharpened-fang woman had considerably better charm than she'll ever have. Wearing the most girlish clothes, challenging the line that the school's dress code just so it can be that impressionably shiny. Typically known as one of the gyaru's, as anyone would've said when they see someone like her, but in this case, she retained some aura that held innocence, boosting her charm. Dubbed by everyone as an Onee-san.

Though could argue that her skirt's length was a bit questionable, the aurous woman reasoned that it was just about the school's dress code requirements.

Rem one time asked her about it, and her reasons why even go so far in wearing it in the middle of winter.

She could vaguely remember her shouting loudly,

'It's up to us women to flaunt our charm indiscriminately!'

Or something like that, she recalled.

Albeit the compromise the woman thought up was just wore such as now, an oversized sweater, but strangely tightened to her bust.

Making Rem look down towards on her own instead, she didn't really give that much thought in her self-image but seeing that the man he took interest in was going for that elf of which rivaled its bosom against hers was already a drawing battle, yet seeing the woman beside her, she didn't feel any better.

That said, the already revealing skirt, still had its bare skin be covered by knee-high loose socks. As expected of a gyaru.

"It's—" She tried to make up a half-lie, a tangent not directly referring to him but before that, she was abruptly interrupted.

"Natsuki-kun, right?" Completing Rem's word instead with the truth, she didn't know whether to feel frustrated, only able to sigh at the bullseye.

"Yeah." Giving up, and decided to just let the woman in, on her troubles.

"What about him, hm~?" Asking what was the reason, of course. She herself had got to know Subaru herself, her impressions being that he was friendly which everyone unanimously agreed in that matter-of-fact. Though seeing the girl beside her be so flustered was a different question.

'A possible love-talk!' She squealed internally.

"I met him earlier, on his way to what I'm guessing Emilia's house." Saying it forefront, making the woman's eagerness turn into once more a frown.

Knowing the circumstances what occurred to that elf, and the raven-haired man's relationship with said elf, it would've been tough for someone like Rem.

"I'm having mixed feelings; I have no idea for him to notice me right now but it feels terrible to even think about trying to do so. I don't know what to think about it."

Indeed, it was tough, Rem's unrequited affection and the stubbornness of that man directed solely on the elf. It wasn't her fault after all, the man generally known as kind would be giving his all, coming to a price of shaving his time towards anyone else.

It wasn't like he was outright ignoring everyone else, but it became difficult to come close to him, as the only time he was available mostly was in breaktimes, as the dismissal bell rings, he was already off. There's some exception if it was the exams, but it's awkward to force upon romance in the middle of studying.

And neither was the said breaktimes was viable too, as Rem was an outsider to their inner-clique, butting in suddenly in their conversation to get closer to him was not an option, leading to her only watching from a distance. It really was difficult.

"That's a really tough position you put yourself in, Rem-san." Frederica pondered out loud.

"You think?" Rem just heaved out a sigh in response, hoping for some innate guidance from the all-knowing gyaru, she only received wonder.

"Hmm, times like these, it really just depends on the opportunity that arises. So, I'll wish you luck to get yourself one of these opportunities and jump right onto it even if it seems unlikely." Saying what she thinks of it, Rem deemed it enough as a response.

It wasn't like she was hoping for an answer handed on a silver platter.

"I said all of that, but that doesn't mean you should give up on it, just think of it as a challenge, hm?"

Of course, it was Rem herself that should find a solution for the issue, she herself made. Asking someone else was only for an outsider's perspective, not an entire answer nor solution.

Nodding considerably with more eagerness compared to earlier, having now the resolve to conquer such an obstacle.

"That's the spirit," She grinned at the sight of the pumped-up Rem.

The students surrounding them increased in count as they come nearer to the school. As they walked, seeing in the distance was a group just situated at the gate, she saw the gold-haired woman beside her suddenly took off; directly running to the group whilst the bystanders could only deem as eccentric.

"Ottooo-kun!" Shouted for everyone to hear, including the group of students, specifically the gray-haired man that was in a certain clique. They looked at him if ever he has any relations to the big-breasted gyaru that was coming towards them, but before saying anything back, he was suddenly toiled away onto the said woman's chest.

"F, Frederica-san!" In the process of earning the group's ire, they all dispersed while gazing at him with disdain. 'Tch' was something he heard while he was being pulled away.

"I, It's not like that g-guys!" Their gaze turned into glares, thinking about even now, he was still denying about paradise, of having one's head rest on a woman's busty chest. Having left alone, he accepted his fate as he then hugged even more tightly, earning once more, not only his group's ire, but the surrounding men.

'They just had to really flirt this early in the morning…'

Some of them even teared up, whilst the girls looked at the latter with estrangement.

Seeing them all riled up this early in the morning made Rem giggle in glee. Brushing off for now the love trouble she's having, she moved on to get by her locker. Switching her shoes for the indoor ones, when suddenly once more for this morning, a voice was heard behind her.

"Rem," After hastily putting on her footwear, she turned around to see a look-alike of her. Albeit, the key differences were the hair that frolicked of pink, and the other was their demeanor. Comparingly to Rem that was ever-so stoic, it couldn't be said the same as her, having a fierce outlook instead yet retaining their reticent mood.

"Hm?" Rem's tone which contained a message of what may that person's intentions were, but it didn't come across as obvious in her case only seeing the gaze that was only calm.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" The doppelganger pouted in response, though furthering the asked-one's confusion.

"I'm just waiting for you to finish so we can head together to the classroom." Crossing her arms, as she continued to observe.

"Anyways, are you done?" Sighed as she lazily tapped her foot.

Rem stood up in succession, happily smiled back as a gesture in seeing her sister.

"Yes, just so Onee-san."

Closing the locker door, patted down her skirt as they both started walking towards their designated classroom.

"Waaaaaaitt upp!" Another one for the day that Rem heard someone calling out for her attention behind.

Pivoted her head to see a miserable gray-haired person being dragged by a very loud demi-human gyaru. Before consequently getting a scold from the nearby teacher in the process.

"Wait up." In now a gentler tone.

The four walked and climbed up the stairs before parting ways, the senior third years were situated at the top floor which both Frederica and the misfortunate man resides in, as for Rem and Ram, they have their class in the second floor.

Saying their parting words,

"I'll see you guys later, c'mon Otto-kun." Before climbing the flight of stairs once more, only hearing the defeated sigh of the man that was being dragged.

Since it was quite early in the morning, after opening the door, Rem only saw was few students that formed a clique in this time, gossiping and laughed while they pass the time. To no one's surprise, the person she was talking about earlier were not here.

She sat upon the chair beside the window, while her other twin had a different seat arrangement, sitting by the outside door.

Rem took this solemn moment to reflect on what she wanted to do this day, her eyes staring the farther distance of the sun still barely arisen. She longingly gazed on the seat that belonged to her crush, thought up of delusions of romance, her mind wandered of what'll be the next move to make him notice someone like her.

As the classroom were still not that brimmed yet, she conveniently heard an answer for her wits on where shall be she'll ask him about. Gossip that echoed into her ears, all about a newly opened tea shop just walking distance of the school.

Maybe I should start our friendship by asking him out later…

Giddily pumped her arms up, though internally. In utter assurance that she'll somehow manage.

Time passed for a few, and the room had increased in seats being occupied. After once more, the bell had started to ring, indicating the starting of the classes. Just when she had a plan made a while ago, it had already begun to crumble with the person in question was still nowhere to be seen.

The door opened, rousing up her hopes that he was just late, to be then disappointed that it was just their homeroom teacher.

"Subaru…"

—▼△▼△▼△▼—

Her hopes went to nowhere, now that it was finally noon; the sun reaching its peak whereas the boy she was hoping to greet was not here. Hearing another bell ringing, it was breaktime. Depressingly took out her brought home-cooking, as she opened to see its contents: Fried Rice and Hotdogs shaped like an octopus.

The entrance to the door slid open, revealing a nurse that had blonde for its hair.

"It seems that Natsuki-kun had his parents called in feeling under the weather, is the class representative of this class in here?"

One of the female students that stayed behind in the classroom with their cliques as they ate, raised their hand and stood up to obtain the papers needed for consent regarding the absentees.

In the midst of that, a certain oceanic-hue haired student heard of this and became quietly baffled.

Didn't Subaru look just fine this morning?

She was skeptical to say the least, but it could've been that he suddenly caught a cold after being out in that weather wearing a bare minimum of a jacket.

The peach-haired girl noticed the look of turmoil found from her sister, and found it in herself to come ask.

"Barusu is absent, huh." Not really expecting the man that was easily seen as energetic, to be suddenly burdened by sickness. And that's why she was more worried even if she'll never admit it.

"It really is strange, Nee-san." Rem muttered, staring at the door of where the nurse had come in.

"What is?" Seemingly hearing her mutters, becoming confused to what could have she meant. Realizing her mistake, she didn't really want to lie to her own sister but she didn't want to make it any more complicated, after all it could've been a misunderstanding and Subaru did really get sick.

"Nothing." Saying otherwise, the peach-haired girl wanted for her to elaborate, but seeing the listless-eyes from her sister, her mouth stood shut.

"Why don't you visit him later after school then?" Suggesting out of the blue, with no hints of any intent that she knew something about her crush about the person that were absent, "I would come with you, but duty calls. The exams just before winter-break are coming right up."

"I guess so…" Finishing her packed lunch, said her thanks before wrapping it up to be kept in her bag. The classroom slowly became crowded seeing the clock on the wall deeming that lunch was about to end.

"Hm, Is Natsuki-san not here?" Mumbles and whispers of the few started to reach her ears, those cliques said before were starting to realize the student that was usually perfect in their attendance, were absent for the day. "I just got the book he wanted to borrow yesterday, ah that guy."

Subaru was really a person known around, not limited to their own classroom but from the neighboring ones too. His kindness was one to be contagious, and for him to be not there to rally everyone up for the day, ended up bumming everyone around.

Everyone had now gathered inside the classroom, as the teacher entered the room soon after. It was only a matter of a while before the classes end, but it didn't make Rem staring at the clock any faster to pass.

He groggily groaned as he opened his eyes with difficulty; the light that was blinding him much was due to the cause of the curtains just passing through a gap in which unfortunately onto his face. He tried to budge his hands towards his face for sober, but it all felt as if his arms were locked into place.

There was another oddity to this, in which there was something heavy pushing him into the mattress which made any sort of movement unlikely. He looked down, in what he saw were a silver entanglement of hair splayed onto his chest.

In a moment, he was confused but his wits came hastily as he now realized what state his in. It was Emilia that had her face laying nonchalantly into him, her breathing that was very much ticklish, yet her plump chest rising up and down as she exhaled being merely just above his lower half was more for concern. One wrong move and their status quo would be broken, it was shivering to deny himself of this urge but this wasn't the time to be even thinking about something like this.

His flustered panic to not make any noise was high in priority, moving so slight as to not disturb her from her sleep. The result was less than appreciated, being that he just fell onto the sides and into the scattered laundry. Quickly pulling away his face from it, patted down his pockets for him to at least message his parents, to be distraught that it wasn't there.

Flickered his eyes to observe the room, only to discover it somehow lying over a certain garment, crouching as to grab ahold of his phone, he felt in doing so was his cheeks reddening. But there was something else that bothered him; he racked up his mind if he should follow the urge to do something… unforgivable.

His eyes fluttered back into the sleepy face of the half-elf, before redundantly looked around to make sure the coast was clear—deliberately reached over to the garment as he crouched, picking it up as his body was behind a blind spot in case she wakes up.

'Lavender, eh?'

He was a hopeless pervert.

Well, all that said was done. Religiously perching the piece of cloth to the side along others, he pulled out his phone to see the time was just about to be noon. He rushed into messaging back at home that may had been worried knowing that his school probably called them because of his absence. That'll be the last thing he want to do, was to worry them.

The sounds of the comforter being shifted as the one that lied upon it seemed to realize an oddity while asleep. She then mindlessly waved her hands around trying to find something that wasn't there. "Mhmm." Groaning out a complaint, indicating a message that her supposed must-pillow was not beside where it should be.

"Should I?" Muttering to himself, as he shot a glance to the girl that were sleeping so merrily, albeit now furrowing her own brows.

'Well, if she's inviting, I don't see why not.'

Shrugging any consequences that might happen if he slips back into the bed. Though as soon he sat down beside the bed, the half-elf sensing the unbalance of the bed, he cried out in pain being suddenly tugged back into her comforting bust, it really was strange how was she this strong, or that it could've been that he's just that weak.

The girl now tightly clinging onto him for any attempts of escaping to cease. Not that he had any plans of doing that now. There was only one thought that came up to mind when she was overly hugging him, that he really was lucky to have her.

It was strange, both were not really in an intimate relationship, or at least announced that they're in one. Going only so far to calling themselves just childhood friends. It was state of deadlock, whether to break that status quo and go beyond that but for Subaru, he'll leave it in another day. Emilia's betterment was foremost prioritized before him, and it was a promise.

"I …" A land of nothingness, he scoured the surrounding void. There was nothing else but the woman that resides in the middle. In his confusion, he reached out to which he found out that his arms were nowhere to be seen. "I'm sorry, my beloved." The said woman was really out of place, what was her purpose is this place devoid of anything.

Her voice was the only one that ringed out loud, echoing throughout the distant shadowed world, "I wasn't able to save you from her into doing this …" Silence dwelled soon after, the silvered-hair beauty raised up her chin towards him, as her eyes started to stream tears as it slid off her cheek.

He felt grief as much as sympathy, he didn't want her for to be like this. Seeing her tear-stained eyes, reflected something rooted deep inside him, and that she was someone important to him. He didn't feel at all any unfamiliarity, but affection.

"Please forgive me." She asked for forgiveness, of which the cause for her to do this was unknown. She ruffled her nose while her eyes glistened from the continued onslaught of tears. He became awestruck in even more pits of confusion, why such an ears' alike of an elf like her needing forgiveness from someone like him.

"Please wake up soon, Subar—" The void had begun to crumble, each crack was deafeningly loud, he could see her mouth move yet those words that was said never reached to him.

The elf realizing this, she can only do so much now was to smile as she waved away at him.

Her mouth moved into exaggerated shapes, enough to discern what's there to be said as a final. I love you.

Everything then turned into white, soon before until Subaru had jolted up as his heart beating hastily. His cold-sweat streaked down his forehead, he now tried to calm down his breath. He tried to process what just happened, but his mind gave no answer. Seeing no progress from mulling over it, he easily shrugged it off as just a bad dream.

It just felt wrong to even have such a dream in the presence of a certain half-elf hugging him so peacefully.

"Oh yeah." Realizing that he was in this position, he attempted to snake away but became even more difficult as the elf clung tightly than before. Just trying to escaped from an embrace by the Herculean strength that was the Elven-lineage, it was less-to-speak, a lost cause. Giving up halfway, he decided to just make himself more comfortable seeing that it was futile.

"Ah, it's been a while since I had a good sleep." Stretching out his arms, with the strength of a certain someone, his arms had become numb. But besides that, he's feeling strangely refreshed. And shifted back his direction to the side.

He looked down at the current state of affairs, which is that right now, Emilia was in a position that was quite directly spooning him. Emilia's warmth was engulfing the entirety of his body; her chest pressed upon his back while her arms laid below him and up.

His direction was facing onto the window, the light that once blinded him this day was nowhere to be seen, only left was its tinge of orange afterglow. Signaling that the sky was about to turn into night, as the sun had started to set. Seeing that he had overstayed his welcome, he decided that it was time to wake up the girl that clung so tight to him. He turned around to face her.

"Hey, it's time to wake up, Emilia-tan." Nudging her for a bit, before hearing a groan. Lazily opened her eyes were, they were now both staring at each other.

"E, Eh?!" Her eyes opened up wide once she saw her face, in her surprise, she had accidentally pushed off Subaru to the side in attempt to distance herself.

"Oww …" Rubbing his head as he fell to the floor, it gave time for the half-elf to dye its cheeks red.

"Oh, I'm sorry Subaru!" She quickly settled that thought aside as for now she has to make up for pushing him to the side.

He stood saying 'I'm fine, I'm fine.' But it really does wonders of how can a said friendship since childhood could be this intimate, both were flustered to their core, averting their eyes from each other for reasons that are obvious.

"W, We slept for quite a while, h-huh?" It was Emilia the first one to break the silence, stammering herself out of the awkward tension that filled the room.

In Subaru's case, he was more or less concerned on getting home before the moonlight hits the streets, it would now be a good chance to not intrude any further and go straight back home; having a lot of to think about that happened so abruptly was inadvertently causing him to be so reddened through-out its cheek.

"Haah, I have to get back home soon or it won't just be scolding I'll get." Whined as he started to pick up his things back. Emilia just stared at him for a while before him noticing her probing gaze. "Is something you want, Emilia-tan?"

"Not really, but can I come with you?" Emilia blurted out with not much meaning to it, Subaru had then misunderstood what it meant, as he froze awestruck.

"It's nice to have at least a breath of fresh air once in a while, and I just wanted to be with you a little bit more …" Her words trailed off, going unheard as Subaru tilted his head in confusion, inevitably shrugging it as one of her musings.

He had finally grabbed his bag, after finding it in the midst of the debris that was her laundry.

"Alright, I'm about to head out, you ready to come with—" Cutting his word short, baffled instead with the sight of her bare-simplistic outfit. Not much different to earlier, he would've scolded her for being too 'showy' going outside in her undergarments, if weren't for the fact that she was now wearing something to cover that, with thin shorts.

Well at the least, she's now wearing a bra … wait a minute!

Having an irritable realization of a reason why she couldn't have done from the start for the whole time she with him, concluding that she's way too defenseless around him.

"Hey, uhm. Emilia-ta—" Once again knocked out of his rationale, seeing his beloved tracksuit being worn by her just a while ago pulling it out beneath stacks of laundry. His earlier question was easily replaced by another, how was she able to get ahold of something he treasured that he then realized it was his dullness that he forgot about giving it to her one time then forgetting about it soon after. How treasured it was for it to be forgotten so easily.

He remembered looking for it since then, having no luck to now seeing it covering over Emilia's furrowing bust as she zipped it up.

One thing's for certain if he gets it back, he's definitely not putting it out for laundry.

"Hm? Did you say something?" Done with her changing as she pumped out her chest in exclaim.

"N, No. It was nothing." Having nothing to say about it anymore, he turned around in a panic. "A, Anyways, let's go."

"If you say so."

The way towards outside was a quiet one, having the wind that blew over their faces was a reminder that they were too under-clothed for the current weather.

"Aren't you too cold in that? I'm already shivering with my winter uniform."

"Eh? Yeah, it's cold but not that cold compared to when I'm alone in my room." Unsurprisingly for the elf to be able to withstand such harsh conditions so easily, it was more baffling or that of fear that she took him to consider for the temperature while having him as her guest. He didn't question about the reason why she wasn't using a heater the entire time, only guessing that it was just a weird quirk of hers that room was still freezing cold for him at least.

Then went on a silence, their walk couldn't be considered an awkward one as the two were just fine being in each other's presence.

Having passed by blocks until they had finally reached the front of his house.

They stood still, before looking at one another.

"Thanks … for coming by today. It didn't feel exactly right to selfishly rely on you all this time, even now that I had basically made you skip school today. I'm not one to say such a thing, but I really am grateful."

Her stern gaze bore deep into Subaru's heart, his resolve and reason of the reason why he was doing all of these. It wasn't really all about his self-interests but rather a debt that he should repay. No matter what, he doesn't want her to look so sad, but of an uncountable opportunity to see her with a wide smile.

"Thank you." And there she was, a wide smile then hastily moved herself into him for a hug. He was for certain that his heart skipped a beat in seeing that smile even more so with her hugging him in this way. He stood there awed, his mouth hanging agape as his face reddened into vermillion. Distancing herself after a few seconds that seemed like minutes.

Nothing was said afterwards, before long she turned around and raised her hand in a symbol. "See you again, Subaru." Hiding her embarrassment using such a cliché act was the quickest thing she thought off at that moment, and it was fitting.

Subaru stood still in utter bewilderment, until he spun his feet towards his house speechlessly. Knocking at the door then opening it.

"I'm back." Announcing his return, that he then sees his mother standing behind the door.

"You returned so late, hmm~?" Smiling so smug and knowing, Subaru's mind went into haywire of thoughts that she couldn't have seen just what happened earlier.

"I'm uh, sorry." Scratching the back of his head in shame,

She couldn't have just seen that, right—?

"I know. Get inside, it's cold. Me and your father have lots to talk about, you know? And that too as well." Pointing towards the outside where Emilia has just been.

Needless to say, that he held his head downwards for the rest of it.

AN: I got a sudden motivation of actually writing something. I'll see you on the next update.
