In this world, 80% of the population has a special ability or physical mutation called a "Quirk". When Quirks first came to be, the world was mired in confusion and chaos. However, people soon realised that this wasn't going to go away. Over the years of dealing with Quirks, a new profession was born from the opportunity to make a difference. It was the rise of Hero's!

It was a normal day in the city of Musatafu in Japan. In one particular house lived a Mother and daughter. The Mother's name was Yui and her Quirk allowed her to control electronics. However, the daughter, who's name was Kamiko appeared to be Quirkless. As the age mark for gaining a Quirk had come and gone for her, Kamiko Itsuna had to face life without a Quirk. Or so she thought. The 6-year-old girl left her house to go for a walk. She had long black hair and red eyes. As she walked she sighed, 'I wonder if I'll find someone to make friends with this year,' Kamiko sighed, 'maybe if I find someone who doesn't have a Quirk like me'. It was ironic. Her name meant 'little Goddess' but she'd had nothing but bad luck so far in her life. As she continued walking while deep in thought, the young girl didn't notice that she was wandering into a forest.

'Why couldn't I have been born with a Quirk? I mean, pretty much everyone else has one. So why me?' Kamiko wondered morosely. As she walked, the ground began to slope. 'If I only had one friend, things might be better for me, but no-one wants to be friends with a Quirkless loser. I never asked for this, never asked to be born without a Quirk. If I could have a Quirk, I'd take just about anything-' suddenly the little girl felt her foot come down on thin air instead of solid ground. The black-haired girl's eyes widened, before she began screaming in fear when she found herself on the edge of a cliff. With a scream, Kamiko scrambled backwards, falling onto the hard, rocky surface of the cliff. "Ow" she mumbled, wincing from the pain in her backside, before a sound caught her attention. Kamiko's eyes widened in horror as the cliffs edge broke under her and sent her plummeting to the unforgiving ground below.

As she fell, Kamiko clenched her eyes shut, 'is this it? am I gonna die here?' she thought. Her thoughts then flashed back to her Mother's face, 'Mama' she thought, tears gathering in her eyes, before she shut them tighter, "PLEASE, I DON'T WANNA DIE HERE!" She screamed. Kamiko suddenly felt a floating feeling taking over her mind. Like she was floating away from the ground, her fear, even her own body. Without warning, the girl's eyes suddenly snapped open again, this time they were an orangish-gold with a strange symbol in them.

Pink light gathered around her body, before her descent started to slow. Eventually Kamiko touched down on the ground as softly as a feather. When she did, the girl blinked in confusion, "wh-what, happened, to me?" she wondered out loud, looking up towards the cliff she'd just fallen from, "I, thought I was going to die-" Kamiko muttered, before she gasped in realisation, "I'm- alive- I'm alive!" she cried, getting up and running home as fast as she could.

Unbeknownst to Kamiko, her life was about to change more than she could have ever imagined.

As soon as she reached her house, the young girl bolted inside, "MAMA!" She cried, tears in her eyes. Soon her Mother entered the room, "Kamiko-Chan, what's wrong dear?" she asked worriedly. The black-haired girl leapt into her Mother's arms, sobbing her eyes out in fearful relief. "I thought I was gonna, I couldn't- *sob* I was so scar-har-har-hared!" she cried. "Woah, woah, easy. It's okay baby, Mama's here, just tell me what's wrong" Yui soothed. After hearing her daughter's story, the adult was terrified and relieved at the same time, "you're so lucky dear, you could have died today. Now I understand why you were so upset," the adult stroked her daughter's jet-black hair, "there, there, you're safe now, shh. Mama's here".

Soon the stress of her near-death experience wore the poor girl out and she fell asleep in her Mother's arms. Yui cradled her traumatised baby girl close. "Thank the Gods that you're safe" she whispered, before taking Kamiko to her bedroom. After tucking her daughter in and making sure that she would be alright, Yui left the room.

The black-haired girl slowly opened her eyes to find a large cloudy expanse. Sitting up from her laying position, Kamiko looked around in confusion, "where am I?" she wondered to herself. "Well, that depends on you" a soft, gentle voice called from behind her. The young girl spun around with a gasp, surprised that someone else was here with her. What, or rather who she saw wasn't anything that she expected. It was a teenage girl with long white hair with bangs just above her eyebrows. Her eyes were an orangish-yellow and had a strange symbol in them. But the most interesting thing was the four wings that stuck out of the teenage girl's back. The girl smiled at her, "hello Kamiko, or is it Kamiko-Chan? These new Honorifics are unusual to say the least" she said with a chuckle.

"What- I mean who are you?" Kamiko asked, confused. The strange girl's smile softened at the sight of her confusion and wariness. "My name is Elizabeth. I'm a Goddess".

Kamiko stared at the strange girl who claimed to be a Goddess incredulously. Elizabeth only smiled. "Am I dreaming?" she asked blandly. "Well, I suppose you are, in a way. This place is between the waking world and the dream world. You could call in the dreamscape, or the mindscape, anything really. But I assure you, that despite that, I am very real Kamiko" Elizabeth explained. The 6-year-old sighed, "okay, say I believe you. Why is a Goddess inside my mind or whatever it is? Why me?" she asked. "Well, the simple answer to that is that you are my Reincarnation. And your recent near-death experience allowed you to contact me" Elizabeth explained. "Wait, you're saying- that I'm your Reincarnation?! Are you serious!?" Kamiko cried in shock. The Goddess nodded, patient with the girl's shock, "and as such, I can transfer you my power, practically making you a Goddess as well" she added.

The black-haired girl stared in open-mouthed shock, "r-really? Are you serious?" she asked. Elizabeth smiled and nodded again, "mhm, I can. I have been watching the world through your eyes, and I believe that when I do this, it be the equivalent of giving you a "Quirk", I believe they're called?" she replied. Kamiko blinked several times, "wait, you can give me a Quirk, just like that?!" she exclaimed. "Well, it wouldn't be exactly the same thing, but you can say that it is. What will happen when I transfer my power to you will be: Stage 1. You grow wings. Stage 2. Your eyes change colour and gain the Goddess Race's symbol," here she pointed at her own eyes, which had a sort of wonky pinwheel shape in them. "Stage 3. You will gain access to my divine abilities, which are too numerous to list right now, so I'll explain when you get them. Once that happens you will be a fully-fledged Goddess.

And the only member of the Goddess Race left" Elizabeth finished explaining. Kamiko blinked in shock at all of the information she'd just been given. "Wow. Wait, does that mean that I wouldn't be human anymore?" she asked, slightly worried. Elizabeth nodded sadly, "yes, I'm afraid there is that downside to this. I'm sorry about that Kamiko-Chan" she replied. The black-haired girl looked down in thought. She could get a Quirk, and not just that, but become a Goddess as well. It's not like she would be any different than how she was now. She would be the same person, just stronger. Not seeing any downsides, Kamiko looked up, "okay, I accept your offer" she replied. Elizabeth smiled brighter and offered the other girl her hand. The black-haired girl reached out and took it. Suddenly a bright pink light engulfed them, and Kamiko felt her consciousness fading.

Elizabeth smiled as she disappeared, "good luck, Kamiko-Chan. I know you'll be a great Goddess and Hero" she whispered.
