A/N: Hey, there everybody! It's me, MBAV fan66! :D And I'm back with a NEW fairytale to tell!

We're now on our 4th fairytale in this book. Like, wow! Can you believe it?! Lol!

Anyway, our next tale is...*insert "Under The Sea" themed ditty, here* THAT'S RIGHT! YOU GUESSED IT! THE LITTLE MERMAID! YAAAAY! *fires confetti cannon in the air* :D So, congratulations to all those who guessed right! You're just too darn hard to fool! Aren't you? *giggles* ;P

This fairytale's pairing is going to be an Ethica (Ethan/Erica)! I bet all you Ethica fans out there are happy about that, huh?! *giggles* ;P

Now, I know that the little mermaid (Ariel) in Disney's animated version (which is the version I'm using in this one) is a redhead. But I'm changing it to blonde, as that's what color hair Erica has and I don't want to change that. So, in this story, the little mermaid shall be blonde. *poses with confidence and stubbornness* :P Besides, I believe there are all kinds of different variations of what she looked like, anyway. Not to mention, different tellings of the story, too. :D

And just to warn you now. Erica might wind up being a bit OOC in this one. But hey! It had to be done! It just wouldn't work if "the little mermaid" was a somewhat stuck up bad girl with attitude, now would it? Lol! ;P

Also, I've changed the first letter of all of King Triton's daughters' names from an "A" to an "E" instead. So, that means that they're names have changed, as well. Like, completely! Lol! You'll see! ;D Oh! And I also changed their mother's name, too! Since basically, that's why all the daughters have names that start with "A". Because in a way, they were named after her. So, since I had changed the daughters' names to names that start with "E" I thought it would only be right if I changed her name, as well, to match. I wanted to keep that little theme from the Disney version they had. :) So, now (in my version, at least) the queen's name isn't Queen Athena, but rather Queen Eirena, instead! :D

Alright! So, that's enough yammering about some of the changes you'll see in my version, for now! I'm sure you all are very anxious to get to the first part of the story, now! Aren't you?! *giggles* ;P

But first some shout outs!:

GuestWerewolf- Thanks! I'm glad you like it! :) And you're correct! The next fairytale is The Little Mermaid! :D I hope you'll like my version of it! :)

TiredAssMuggle- Thank you for favoriting and following me as an author! And also, thank you for favorites and follows on this story and on two of my other stories (The Origin Of Ethan Morgan and MBAV One-Shots Radio), as well! I really appreciate it! :D

Jarkous- Thank you for adding this story to your favorites list! Also, thank you for adding my story The Origin Of Ethan Morgan to your favorites list, as well! And thank you for adding me to your favorites list as an author! I very much appreciate it! :D

TiredOfBeingNice- Nope. I'd say you're right on, fanfic buddy! :D Lol! Yeah, I really wanted to keep Benny's actual self in it, just a little bit. Actually, I try to do that will all of them really, in each of these fairytales! Lol! :P But in some, you might still find them a bit OOC, though. Like with Erica in this here tale. I just had to keep the dress color thing at the end in it! :D Lol! Though Flora (the original green fairy in the Disney version) might not mind the bickering between the other two fairies, I'm sure Sarah (the green fairy in my version) probably have is she was constantly stuck between the two! Lol! XD And you know, she wouldn't be as nice about it all the time, either, playing peacekeeper. Lol! Aw! *blushes* Thanks! I'm glad you think so! *blushes some more* ;P

Stretch Snodgrass- I'm glad you liked it! :) And yup! It looks like your guess what right! Lol! The next fairytale is The Little Mermaid! :D Anyways, I hope you'll like it, too! :D

Bennyweirlover17- Thanks! *blushes* I'm glad you loved it so much! :) I hope you'll like this one, too! :D

Story: The Little Mermaid Part 1

Chapter 26: Family Luncheon

Main Pairing: Ethan/Erica

Somewhere deep in the ocean depths, there is this grand and enchanted kingdom that lays underwater called Atlantica. There, beings that appear to be human, but with fish like tails for their lower body, called mermaids (or rather merpeople, to be precise), live there happily with the rest of Earth's sea creatures.

Presiding over them was their mighty and noble ruler, King Triton. Everybody loved the king and respected him with great dignity and honor, too. King Triton watched over not only all of his people, but also the sea life that lived there in harmony with them, as well. King Triton loved his people and he protects them all with the power of his magical trident, that allows him to control water at will, create raging storms, and do other things, as well.

King Triton had seven beautiful daughters that lived with him in the castle. All them very unique and different in their own way, but they all loved each other and their father, dearly. They always listened to their father and never once dared to disobey his laws. Including, their his number one rule for all the merpeople. Which was to never go to the surface and risk being seen by any humans. This was his number one law and everyone living Atlantica followed it.

All except for his youngest daughter, Erica.

You see, out of all of King Triton's daughters, Erica was the most rebellious out them. She loved her father very much, but she also hated his rule about going to the surface. Erica was an adventurous girl, who thought of the human world as fascinating and wondrous. Often enough, she would disobey her father's law and venture upwards towards the surface to take a peek at the surface world that laid above. The human world was like an all-new place just waiting to be explored in her eyes. With so many strange and fascinating things to see and experience. It was Erica's greatest dream to one day be able to venture on land and to interact with the humans that lived there. She never understood her father's reasoning for why all mermen and mermaids had to remain underwater and out of sight of all and any humans. To her, it was just silly! Surely, humans weren't that bad? Right?

Erica swam along through Atlantica happily. Greeting other fellow mermaids along her path with a friendly wave and 'hello' said to them. She was on her way to meet her father and sisters for lunch back at the palace, which she is was clearly late for.

"Ugh! Not again! How long must she keep us waiting for?!" complained Emily (one of the king's seven daughters), boredly.

"I know! Like, she's always late!" stated Eliza (another one of the king's daughters) irritably, as she agreed with her sister.

"Can't we just start without her?" asked Emery (another daughter of King Triton's).

"What?! No, we can't start without her! That wouldn't be fair or very mannerly of us, Emery!" gasped Esmeralda (another daughter of the king's) shockingly.

"Yeah! I agree with Esmeralda! She's our little sister, you two! And it wouldn't be very nice to start eating without her! We should wait, instead." argued Ellie firmly, as she agreed with her sister, Esmeralda.

"But the food is getting cold!" whined Ezra (King Triton's daughter) pathetically. "And I'm starving, too!"

"Oh, don't be such a baby, Ezra! She'll get here when she gets here! So, stop your complaining!" retorted back Ellie to her sister, Ezra.

"Girls! That is enough!" ordered King Triton politely, but also very sternly. He was starting to get tired of hearing his daughters bickering. "I'm sure Erica will be here very shortly for our lunch meeting together. You just have to be patient, is all. Ok, girls?" reassured King Triton in a calming manner.

All six girls then stopped arguing and decided to listen to their father, instead. "Yes, Father." they all said in unison, then. Bowing their heads slightly in shame and embarrassment.

"Good." replied King Triton, happily with a smile. Sometimes it wasn't easy being the only guy in the household, having to live with seven daughters.

Just then, Erica (the youngest of King Triton's daughters) came bursting into the room with nothing but apology after apology for her tardiness. "Sorry, guys that I'm late!" she apologized once more to her sisters with a blush, as they all stared at her. Some of them more like angry glares rather than just plain stares, though. Erica then went over to where her father sat and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek first, before taking her seat at the table. "I really am sorry, Daddy, for being so late to lunch. I hope you can forgive me?" said Erica remorsefully.

"Of course, I do, sweetheart! You're my little girl, after all." replied King Triton sweetly to her, as he forgave her for being late.

Emily let out an aggravated sigh when he said that and plopped her chin onto her hand that was propped up on the table. "Of course, he forgives her. Pish! Daddy's girl." she then mumbled mockingly to herself, as she rolled her eyes.

No one else heard her say this except for Ellie, who was sitting right next to her. That's when Emily felt the harsh nudge in her side from her sister's elbow, then. When she looked over to Ellie's direction, she saw the warning like glare she was giving her. Taking the hint, Emily decided to let it go, for now. Emily was always a bit jealous of how close a relationship Erica has with their father, since she's the youngest out of them. Sometimes she had a hard time hiding her jealous from her sisters, but regardless of how jealous she might be of Erica and their father's relationship with one another, Emily still loved her little sister dearly, though. And would never dare hurt her in any way, either. Or even wanted to see her harmed, as well! They were still sisters, after all! And sisters stick together! No matter what!

"But I must ask, dear? Why were you late, again to lunch, sweetheart?" asked King Triton curiously, as everyone now began to eat.

Erica almost choked on hers, but managed to hold it together. "Oh...nothing, really. I just um...got busy with what I was doing and lost track of time, was all." she answered, trying not to sound so nervous when she spoke. The last thing she needed was for her father to find out what she's really been up, too.

King Triton sighed. "We're you with Sarah, again?" he then asked, suspectingly in a disappointing like tone. Though, he wasn't disappointed in her at all. He just wished that she'd learn to keep better track of time when hanging out with her best friend, was all.

"Yeah! Of course! That's where I was! With Sarah!" replied Erica eagerly, as she then gave a slight nervous laugh at the end. "We were uh...just hanging out together! Doing girl type stuff, was all! You know shopping, gossiping, and whatever else two sixteen year old girls deem fun to do! Stuff like that!" she said, trying to deflect her answer.

"Not anything illegal, I hope?" asked King Triton suspiciously then, with a raised brow.

Erica rolled her eyes at her father's question. "Daddy! Of course, not!" she answered annoyedly. Although, technically it was a lie. She was doing something illegal. In her father's eyes, that is. To her, it was a silly law to follow that didn't make much sense to her, and she didn't see why she should have to obey it, anyway.

"Ok, then! I believe you!" chuckled King Triton. "But Erica, honey. Next time do try to keep better track of time, though. Will you?" he then suggested sincerely to her.

"Fine. I'll try to keep better track of time, then." groaned Erica annoyedly with some attitude, as she rolled her eyes. "Happy now?"

King Triton didn't say a thing. Instead, he just shook his head disappointingly at his youngest daughter and her small bit of attitude towards him. "Thank goodness, she's my LAST daughter who I have to go through this 'teenager stage' with." he thought gruffly to himself out of relief.

After that, the rest of lunch went pretty well. With everyone chatting about this and that, and so on. Until finally, it was time for everyone to go their separate ways, as lunch was finally over with for the day.

As Erica was swimming through one of the hallways in the palace, her sister Ellie had stopped her. "So. Where were you really, before lunchtime started, little sis?" questioned Ellie intriguingly with a slight bit of suspicion in her voice, as well. Ellie then gave her this smug/knowing like look, as she waited for her little sister's response.

Erica rolled her eyes at her. "I already told you! Remember?! I was with Sarah, hanging out! Duh!" sassed Erica.

This time Ellie was the one to roll her eyes, as she crossed her arms unbelievingly at the teen. "You know, I don't buy that, Erica." she stated bluntly. "Come on, sis! You know, you can tell me, anything! Out of the rest of our sisters, you and I are the closets to one another." reasoned Ellie rationally, as she tried to get Erica to open up to her about the real reason why she was late to lunch in the first place.

"Yes, I know that! Sheesh!" exclaimed Erica frustratingly out of annoyance, as she threw her hands up dramatically.

"Then tell, me what you were up to that made you so late to lunch, then!" argued back Ellie, in the same manner. She was really starting to get tired of her sister's attitude, now.

"No." replied Erica, simply.

"And why not?!" wondered Ellie.

"Because it's none of your business and I don't have to! That's why!" sassed Erica strongly, as she crossed her arms and looked away from her.

"Ugh! You're so infuriating sometimes!" stressed Ellie out loud to her, then.

"Good! Then it means I'm doing my job as a little sister, then." sassed Erica cockily.

"Whatever." grumbled Ellie back. "I bet your little bff, Sarah probably knows? Doesn't she?" she then asked.

"Maybe." was all Erica said.

"Of course, she does." sighed Ellie. Then she looked back up at her sister, quizzically. "How come she gets to know and I don't, huh?"

"Well, for one she doesn't have to live here in the palace with the king of Atlantica. Who also happens to have a bit of a short temper, by the way, that tends to get the best of him at times." explained Erica sassily.

"That still doesn't tell me the reason why you can't tell me, though." pointed out Ellie logically, in a dull tone.

But Erica didn't say a thing, as she remained silent. Ellie sighed deeply then, understanding the meaning behind her sister's silent answer. It's because since Sarah doesn't live in the palace, then that means her secret is less likely to be found out by their father. Meaning that it's probably something that could get her in major trouble, then.

"Look, Erica. If you feel like you can't tell me, then so be it. I won't hold it against you." Ellie said with sincerity in her voice. This caused Erica to look at her with a guilty look, then. "Just know that I love you and that I'm here for you whenever you need it because...that's what big sisters are for, anyway." she smiled fondly at the younger mermaid.

Erica gave a small smile then, knowing just how much her big sis Ellie cares for her. Out of all of her older sisters, Ellie was the most caring one out of them. Ellie always looked out for her no more what and was always there for her to defend her whenever one of their other sisters decided to pick on her for something. Ever since the day their mother, Queen Eirena, died when they were younger, Ellie had been like a mother figure to Erica. Always there to comfort and help guide her with some friendly advice in some way.

Ellie always saw it her job to look out for her sisters after their mother's passing since she was the oldest out of all seven of them. Especially, with Erica since she was so young when their mother died. She had needed her more than the other girls did, since she was only five years old when she had died. Being that young, Erica needed a mother figure in her life, as she still had lots of feminine stuff to learn that only a mother could teacher. And since they no longer had a mother, then she was the next best thing to help guide Erica through these things.

Lord knows that their father couldn't help with these type of things. She remembered the time she had asked him for help with something like that, one time. He had gotten so nervous that he kept stumbling over his words and rambling. It wasn't until her mother had come in to explain things to her (much better than he ever could) in more calmer and easy going fashion (after seeing him struggle so badly with his), that she understood it more clearly, then.

It was one of the very fond moments she had of their parents together. Sadly, though...Ellie also knew that for Erica, she had very few of these precious moments with their mother and that the memories she held of those moments with their mother had probably mostly all faded away and have become very vague to her, since she was just a little girl when they happened. Like most childhood memories do. To Ellie, it wasn't right that she got to spend more time with their mother (along with her sisters) when she was still alive, than poor Erica did. If she could change that, then she would, but...one can't bring back to dead or change one's fate.

"I know, El's. And I love you, too." said Erica lovingly to her, as she then hugged her big sis.

Ellie giggled then. "Well, I hope you do, since I am your favorite big sister and all." joked Ellie playfully, before pulling back from the hug.

Erica just rolled her eyes playfully at her. "Yeah, but don't let the others know. Especially, Emily! She already dislikes me enough because I'm Daddy's favorite." joked Erica back, making the two share a small laugh between each another. They both knew that even though Emily might get jealous of Erica at times, that Emily still loved her, though.

Ellie then stopped laughing and got serious again, as she looked at Erica with a concerned and sad expression on her face. "You know, Erica. He's only tough on you because he loves you. You know that right?" stated Ellie sullenly, but in a sincere and considerate way. "He just...worries, is all. Like, I do sometimes." she said kindly, as she placed a hand on Erica's shoulder.

Erica sighed sullenly, knowing just who she was referring to. "Yeah, I know. And I love him for that, honestly! It's just...I wish he'd see that I'm growing up now and that I'm my own person now. With my own dreams and goals to fulfill in life. I'll always be his little girl, but that doesn't mean he has to treat me like one." replied Erica earnestly.

"I know, sweetheart. And maybe...someday he'll finally see that you're not the little girl that you used to be, anymore. That you're all grown up, now." reassured Ellie comfortingly to her. "Well...kinda. You're still a teenager, after all." she then added lightheartedly with a chuckle.

"Hey! That just means I'm almost an adult, though!" retorted Erica back sassily, but in a playful kinda way, as she smiled brightly at her sister.

Ellie only giggled. "Perhaps!" was all she said, amusingly to her. "Anyways, I'll leave you to go do your 'girl stuff' then. Have fun!" teased Ellie playfully, as she put air quotes around "girl stuff".

Erica just rolled her eyes at her.

The two sisters then hugged.

"Thanks, El's!" thanked Erica, still hugging her sister.

"Anytime sis!" happily replied Ellie back with a smile, before they finally ended the hug and went their separate ways.

A/N: Think I'll end the first chapter to The Little Mermaid, here! :D

So, what do you think?

Now, this version that I'm doing of the classic tale, is going to be a bit different from the Disney version. Ok, probably a lot different! *giggles* ;P But there'll still some elements in it from the Disney version of it, though! :D

Anyways, I still hope you all will like it, regardless! And will continue to follow along with it, as well! :)

Until next time, I'll be seeing you all around! Bye! :D
