TRIVIA: Who does Sue mean when she was talking about the wedding decorations?

?-?

Sue unseeingly stared at her teacup as she repetitively dunked the bag. Lucy waved for her attention as she sat across from her at the kitchen table. "You still worrying about Kevin?"

She nodded. "The police couldn't even find a trace of Kevin anywhere there, other than the note. It's like he just appeared then disappeared out of thin air. Mya's sketch of the delivery boy was distributed everywhere, but no one seems to know him. He wasn't a local. The guys have exhausted all leads and don't know where to look. To top it all off, it's all Jack can think about. He's obsessing over it. I can't even talk to him! He's worried he's going to try it again with our wedding."

"Do you think he will?"

Sue shrugged. "DON'T KNOW."

The two women sighed, not knowing what to do.

"Say if you knew Kevin was going to be there. Would you still want to get married?"

"Definitely." She replied before her friend finished her sentence.

"Does Jack feel the same way?" She asked.

Sue paused to think a few seconds. "I'm pretty sure, though he'd rather have Kevin behind bars during our wedding."

Then I don't see why you couldn't continue, Kevin or not. You love each other so much and God will let happen what He wants to happen. It's as simple as that."

Sue smiled widely. "You're right. It is that simple. I think I will go and tell Jack that. Maybe he'll have some solace knowing it."

"Thata girl!" Lucy exclaimed as her friend got up and left the room.

?-?

"Hey!" Tara exclaimed when she answered her phone.

"Hey," Brandon replied. "Again, sorry I couldn't make it to your one friend's wedding on Saturday, but I definitely will be there for tomorrows!"

She shrugged in reply, even though he couldn't see it. "No problem, I get it. Other priorities win over.

He lightly laughed. "Yes, thank you for understanding. I am not missing tomorrow and that wedding mystery!"

It was now her turn to laugh. "Since you missed the first one, maybe you could help me with my character. I'll tell you everything I found out last week. You know what they say,"

"Two heads are better than one." He finished, a smile in his voice. "Sure! Anything with you is fun."

Tara's face turned pink because many mixed feelings of joy and embarrassment. In that moment, she was glad he couldn't see her face.

?-?

Sue reached over to open the front door to leave, but when she opened the door, she was greeted by her brothers and their families, who were just about to ring the doorbell.

"Congratulations!" They all shouted as they came into the house.

"Hello!" Carla exclaimed as she came into the room upon hearing the commotion.

"Mom, I was just about to go see Jack." She quietly whispered as her family bustled in, making more noise than Grand Central Station at rush hour.

"You'll have your whole life to see Jack. Your brothers, not so much. Spend some time here before you leave, OK?" She replied.

Sue sighed, reluctantly complying. She looked down at Sunny, who had her leash in her mouth. "Looks like you'll just have to see Barky later, OK?"

Sunny set down the leash and sadly woofed. Sue laughed, then intermingled with her family.

?-?

"You've been at that thing all day. Why don't you come to dinner?" Connie called to her son, who was still intently looking for Kevin.

"These are the last moments I have, I can't." Jack said, still distracted.

"I've invited Monique to dinner since she was here all day decorating. Have you seen the decorations? They're beautiful!" She asked, walking over to him. "Anyways, Bob is having a hard time interpreting. We need you." She said, now standing right in front of him.

He looked up at her slightly irritated face. "Oh, alright." He replied, then shut down his search.

"Good." She satisfactorily nodded. "Because my next tactic was to unplug the computer!"

He laughed. "It's a laptop. You can't unplug it."

She shrugged as they walked to the kitchen. "You get the idea."

He nodded. "Yes, unfortunately I do." He said as his Mother led him to the kitchen table.

"I would have to steal it!" She concluded as they sat down.

He laughed. "That would stop me dead in my tracks!"

She smiled at her son, satisfied that he was finally paying attention to something other than his computer.

?-?

After they had finished their takeout, Sue decided that that was enough time with her family. She needed to make sure Jack had peace before he went to sleep that night. She did too. "I've got to go. I'll see you later!" She called as she put on her jacket.

"Don't stay out too late!" Carla called, facing her daughter.

"I won't. I'll be back in a few hours, at most." She replied as she put on Sunny's leash. Once done, she left, driving to the house she would be occupying in 24 hours. In the morning, they would be doing the switch; she would be bringing some of her things to their house while Connie, Bill and Bob would be bringing their stuff to her and her Mom's house. Her mind went to another place as she mindlessly drove. In less than 24 hours, she'd be married and the reception would be halfway over. It was surreal to think about it.

Before she could think any longer, she was pulling into the driveway. "Come on, Sunny!" She called as she opened the back door and she hopped out and followed her mistress to the door.

"Hey!" Bob exclaimed as he opened the door after she rang the doorbell. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to talk to Jack. I would've been here earlier, but my brothers came and my Mom wouldn't let me leave.

He chuckled. "Sounds like Carla."

Jack waved as he walked towards her. "You just missed Monique. Wait till you see what she did to the backyard!"

"Show me?" She asked as she unhooked Sunny, who happily hopped off to play with Barky in the kitchen, hoping for dinner scraps.

He nodded, then looked at the two dogs playing. "You know, he doesn't bark as much, especially with his playmate around. Maybe we should rename him?"

She smiled and shook her head as she too his arm and they walked through the house to get to the back door. "No. I like it. It reminds me of you, Sparky."

He chuckled as they walked into the yard just as Connie turned on the lights from the inside.

"Wow!" She whispered, letting go as she looked up at the lights, slowly twirling around to create an effect. She then paused and squinted her eyes at the lights. After a minute or two, she looked back at Jack. "I think he can see this from heaven, don't you?"

He smiled and nodded. "Definitely."

She smiled as well as they looked at all the intricate decorations in the yard. "Wow. It's almost like she put our whole lives into these decorations."

He nodded, also looking around. "She's an excellent wedding planner, wedding decorator."

She nodded in reply. "Yes. If anyone's going to get married, I will highly recommend her."

Jack paused in their perusing's. "You know, I was thinking."

Sue raised her eyebrows to indicate she was listening.

"What if," he started, signing "IF" along with speaking. "WHEN US-TWO HOME, US-TWO SIGN ONLY."

She smiled widely. "LIKE! BUT, IF YOU DON'T KNOW SIGN, DO-DO?"

He shrugged. "SPEAK."

She chuckled. "FINE."

"I just thought it should be my duty as your husband to try to speak in your language as much as possible. You have to accommodate everyone so much." He spoke, since he wasn't sure how to sign it properly. "Sometimes I take that for granted too much."

She nodded. "THANK YOU." She signed, then paused for a few seconds as they walked and viewed a few more aspects of the decorations. "I wanted to see how you're doing with the whole Kevin thing."

Jack sighed. "Not good. I've spent almost every day this week searching, nothing."

"Do you think you can let it go, if only for tomorrow?"

"I don't know." He said and signed, shaking his head.

She slowly nodded, understanding. "God will let us catch him when He's ready. Don't worry."

"I know. It's just hard not to worry."

She sadly smiled, then led him to their gazebo, where they would be wed in about 15 hours and sat down on the fence surrounding the gazebo, holding each other and praying for a beautiful, safe wedding.
