"I wish we didn't have to end our honeymoon so soon." Josh said as they drove back to DC. They had spent the week road tripping down the coast, ultimately ending up in Florida, spending a day at the beach, then coming back a slightly different route with different sights. They were now traveling through Virginia, concluding their trip.
"What, are you into rhyming, now?" Mya asked, laughing.
He chuckled and shrugged. "Maybe. Just say it, and it will be."
She laughed harder. "No thank you. That was horrible."
"Yes, it was." He relied, laughing as well.
Their laughing was interrupted by Mya's phone ringing. "Oh well. That was fun while it lasted." She said as she looked at the caller ID.
"Jack?" He asked as she answered and put it up to her ear.
"Yeah." She replied, then looked away to have the phone conversation. "You miss us so much you have to call?"
"We need your help. How soon can you be at the bullpen?" Jack replied, not even acknowledging her little jab.
"Uh," she replied, knowing something was wrong. "We're just leaving Virginia, so a little bit?"
"Good." He replied.
"What's wrong?" She asked when he didn't elaborate.
"Sue's been kidnapped by Kevin."
"What?!" She exclaimed.
"What's wrong?" Josh worriedly asked, glancing at her a few times as he drove.
She moved the phone's mouthpiece away from her mouth to speak to her husband. "Sue's been kidnapped. We need to find her." She said, then moved the mouthpiece back. I will start my search from here. I have my computer." She said to Jack as she reached into the backseat with her left hand as she held the phone to her ear with her right.
"Thank you. See you soon." He said, then hung up.
"What happened?" Josh asked when he saw his wife was off the phone.
She shook her head. "I don't know. All I know it was Kevin's doing." She replied as she started up her computer and started researching.
"Oh no. And a few hours before her wedding."
"That's his goal. Same thing with last week. But this week we're going to find him and put a stop to this!" She determinedly replied, typing away.
?-?
"I got something!" Mya happily exclaimed as she and Josh bounded into the nearly empty bullpen a little while later.
"Really?" Jack asked, standing upright. It was only he and Bobby, waiting for the forensics results, scouring anything and everything they could find that could possibly help, finding nothing useful.
She nodded as she logged into her computer. "This is something you're going to love."
Josh chuckled as he sat down in a nearby unoccupied seat. "I think this is the most alive I have seen her all week."
"Hey, don't you want this guy caught?" She complained.
"Of course!" He replied.
"Uh oh, is this the first fight as a married couple?" Bobby replied, slightly laughing at the scenario. "If it is, I don't want to be here."
"No." Mya replied, going back to typing on her computer.
"Never mind that, what did you find?" Jack asked.
"Patience!" She exclaimed as she pulled something up onto the screen. "Here you go!" She proudly said, happily looking at everyone ogling the screen
?-?
"Where could she be?" Carla worriedly asked as she paced around the kitchen.
"Jack and the rest of the team will get to the bottom if it, don't worry." Bob replied, hoping she would sit down soon. He was getting dizzy watching her. Like they had planned, Bob, Bill and Connie brought their stuff over, thinking positively. Unlike his brother and sister-in-law, Bob stayed behind to keep Carla company while Connie and Bill went back to Jack and Sue's home to keep an eye out there.
"I know they will get to the bottom of it, definitely. But will they find her before, before it's too late?" She asked, sitting down across from him.
He paused before speaking, then nodded. "Yes, I believe they will. They have overcome everything else, why can't they overcome this?"
She paused to think. "Yes, you're right."
He smiled in reply, satisfied at the silence.
"But I can't help but worry!" she exclaimed, getting up again.
Bob sighed, praying that they would find her quickly, which gave him an idea. "Carla, have you prayed about this?"
She immediately stopped in her tracks. "Wh-no." She admitted.
He nodded. "Come here." He said patting the seat next to him. She complied, sitting down. He took her hands in his, closed his eyes and started to pray. "Dear Lord. You know where Sue is and I hope You will help Jack and his team find her quickly, unharmed and safe, just in time for her wedding this afternoon. Let her know everyone is looking for her, praying for her. Keep her safe, Lord. In Your Name."
"Amen." The couple said in unison.
Carla smiled at her fiancé. "Thank you. I feel better now."
Bob smiled as well. "Good."
