"So what's your something?" Jack anticipatedly asked, looking at the screen, but not knowing what he was looking at.
Mya smiled widely. "Kevin's getting sloppy."
"Oh? Bobby asked, hopeful.
She nodded. "He's recruited an accomplice."
"That's not like him, wonderful, and how do you know that?" Jack asked.
"No, but I think his defeats are making him desperate, yes it is, and because his accomplice did so much as say so." She replied, answering his questions and comment.
"I think you're right about the first thing. The good guys keep on wining the rounds, not something he wants to happen." Bobby replied.
"What about this accomplice?" Jack asked, going directly to the point.
"She nodded, going to the information on the screen. "His name's Omar Cole. He's only got some petty things on his record, but kidnapping isn't too far a stretch."
"No, I can see that." Bobby said, getting up to read the screen. "Armed robbery with a water gun, purse snatching. They're not too serious, but I can see kidnapping could be the next step up, especially if recruited by someone like Kevin."
"So how do we find him?" Jack asked, skipping right along.
Her smile grew wider. "Our work's already done for us."
"Huh?" the two men asked.
Mya chuckled, then explained. "About 45 minutes ago, Omar was pulled over for speeding. I had just caught the officer in time, telling him to hold him, telling him to tell them that their system's down and he has to come in to get his ticket or something. He's waiting there now."
Jack smiled widely at her. "Perfect! Thank you, Mya!" He exclaimed, quickly getting up and running out the door.
"Wait, don't you want to know which station he's at?" She called after him.
He walked back into the bullpen, an embarrassed smile on his face. "I think that would be helpful, yes.
She wrote down the address and handed it to him, but before he could take it, Bobby got up and snatched the paper. "I'm driving. Let's go."
"Bye, good luck!" Mya called, waving, then turned to her husband.
Josh smiled at her. "We're not leaving till Sue's found, I know. What can I do?" He asked, walking to a desk.
She widely smiled at him, then tasked him with a job.
?-?
"Woah, what on earth is that?" Drew exclaimed, walking into Sarah's apartment to find a ginormous white board in the middle of her living room. "I leave for a few days because of a work emergency, and this pops up!"
Sarah embarrassedly chuckled. "Yeah, I think I took Sue and Mya's wedding mystery a bit too far."
"I'll say!" He exclaimed, walking closer to examine what was written on the white board.
"I mapped out every person I talked to. If they had nothing to do with it, they're over here," she explained, holding up a sheet of paper. "Everyone on here had something to do with the mystery."
"So, have you figured out who it is yet?" He asked, smiling widely at his girlfriend.
She smiled widely back. "I have an idea on who."
"Show me."
"Alright," Sarah replied, seriously nodding as she looked at her notes. After a few seconds, she had the information organized in her mind. "The task is to identify the perp, the FBI agent and the key witness. I have determined the perp is Carlos Gonzales, AKA Troy Myers."
"Troy?" He asked, laughing.
She nodded. "Mmhmm. Troy. Then, the FBI agent is Nicolas Barnard, AKA Bobby Manning."
"That's funny. An FBI agent playing an FBI agent."
"Luck of the draw!" Sarah exclaimed. "Then again, there's a lot of agents. It had to happen somewhere."
"I suppose so. It would've been funny if the perp was an agent, though."
"Yes!" She exclaimed, laughing. "It would!"
"So who's the key witness?" Drew asked.
"Ms. Theresa Gransmatica." She proudly announced.
"And who's playing her?"
She smiled at him. "You're looking at her."
He laughed. "Of course. The one who sees everything."
Sarah nodded. "I have to admit, I have enjoyed doing the detective work. I will miss it after today."
"Well, you're apparently good at it!"
She proudly nodded. "Apparently, I am!"
?-?
Sue nervously looked around the dark room. Every second felt like minutes, every minute, hours. She was afraid for what Kevin might have planned for her. She prayed for the 100th time that Jack would find her soon, but apparently God wasn't listening at that particular moment. She had nearly given up. Hope was waning and she didn't know how much longer she could hold on. She hadn't eaten anything since early the previous evening, but even then she didn't eat much. Her last drink of water was around the same time. Maybe Kevin would have a compassionate moment, but she doubted it. She had to rely on Jack and God, both of which she hoped would come through soon.
