CONGRATULATIONS Guest! You're right! In the premiere! I actually was thinking outside the Sue world, but you did prove me wrong! If anyone thinks of any other times (particularly the thing I'm thinking of), I'll give a chapter too!

TRIVIA: I learned something fascinating regarding a person's gait from a Sue episode, and it's implemented here when Sue is feeling people walk in. What is it/which episode? Worth two chapters!

?-?

"We found something!" An officer exclaimed, running up to Jack and Bobby, slightly out of breath.

"What?" Jack anticipately asked, running to catch up with the officer.

"It's a small shack. We went inside, but didn't see anything."

"Show me!" He exclaimed, unknowingly running.

"Jack, your arm!" Bobby called, trying to catch up.

"Who cares! I need to find Sue!" Jack replied, the officer catching up and showing him to a small little shack overlooking a cliff that lead to the reservoir. He eyed the little building. Sue had to be in there. She just had to. With a deep breath, he walked inside.

?-?

Sue felt the footsteps again, but these were different. Familiar. Were they Kevin's? No, she didn't think so. Even though she felt these happily familiar footsteps, she still was afraid. What if Kevin was in the room with her, waiting for whoever it was on the other side of the door? She tried to stay as quiet as she could. Now she felt a deep rumble. Whatever it was, she was afraid. She prayed she would be ready for whatever was coming at her. The footsteps felt closer. Then she felt someone or something touch her. She screamed and wiggled, trying to get away. The person tried to hold her, but she wouldn't let him. Then they took her hand, signing into it. "SUE"

"Jack?" She asked, stopping her screaming and wiggling when she recognized what was signed into her hand. Relieved, she let him untie the cloth from her eyes. Once off, she tried to see. It was still dark, but she could see Jack's shadow. Happy to see that shadow, she threw her arms around him and hid her face in his neck. That smell. She'd know it anywhere. It was Jack. She was safe. "I thought you'd never find me." She whispered. While she was hugging him, she felt his body tense, then a rough, polyester band across his back. She felt around, finding the sling. "Are you OK?"

Jack led her out the door that was hiding behind a dresser, out of the small shack, into the bright sunlight. Squinting from the light, she looked at her fiancé. "You're hurt!" She exclaimed, seeing the sling and bandage on her shoulder.

"It's nothing." He replied. "All that I care about is that you're safe."

"What happened? Did you see a doctor?" She asked, more worried about him than herself.

"Yes, a paramedic checked it out. Come on, I'll tell you on the way back home." He said, leading her towards the main road.

She nodded, following him, but then suddenly stopped. He looked at her, wondering why. "What about Kevin?" She whispered.

"We're safe. Kevin's dead." He assured her, signing DEAD for emphasis, then waved for her to follow him.

"Dead?" She confirmed. He nodded. "What happened?"

"I'll tell you in the car." He replied. The entire day was taking a toll on him, and now that Sue was found, his high alert focus was waning. He swore the hill was triple the size it was a half hour ago. Nonetheless, he climbed it with Sue. Finding Bobby already on the top and talking with Mya on the phone, he sighed an closed his eyes. Everyone was safe.

Bobby took his phone away from his ear as he walked towards the couple. "This officer here will take you guys home." He said, waving towards a nearby officer.

Jack nodded. "Thank you." He said, then the two followed the officer to his car.

"Now, what about that story?" Sue asked once they were situated and on the way home.

Jack sleepily chuckled, then proceeded to tell her what happened over the course of the past 7 hours. The story lasted until the officer pulled up in Sue's driveway.

"Wow." She replied quietly. "And you're sure you're alright?"

"I won't be if you say you don't want to marry me in 3 hours." He replied.

"3 hours!" She exclaimed as she got out. "I don't think I could possibly be ready in that short a time!"

He nodded as they slowly walked up the driveway. "You can. And you will look beautiful."

She smiled at him as they walked up the path to the front door.

?-?

"It's been what, 7 hours?" Carla asked, still pacing around the living room.

"Jack will find her, don't worry. She will be safe."

"I don't kno-" She started as she looked out the front window, seeing a police car in the driveway, Sue and an injured Jack come out of it. "They're here!" She screamed, running to the door, opening it and running to her daughter, embracing her in a tight hug. "I was so worried about you!" She exclaimed when she let go. "What happened to you?" She asked, turning to Jack and seeing his sling.

He chuckled. "It's a long story."

Sue smiled widely as they walked into the house. She was safe, everyone was here, but most of all, she was marrying Jack in 3 hours!
