Within 15 minutes, Monique and her crew rearraigned the chairs to create the reception area in the same spot where the wedding took place, the wedding party's table inside the gazebo. Once set up, Sue sat down at her spot, looking at all her friends and family settling in. It was a magical moment. She was just married, safe from any harm. Sure, she was exhausted, but she wouldn't change a bit of it for the world. She looked at Jack, who was sitting next to her.
"YOU LIKE WATCHING YOU?" He asked.
She nodded. "BEAUTIFUL DAY."
"TRUE." He replied.
"Well, I'm sure of my answers now!" Sarah announced as she came up the few steps to meet the couple. Jack pointed and interpreted for Sue, as best as he could onehandedly.
"Are you sure?" Sue asked, smiling.
She nodded. "As sure as I am standing here!" She happily exclaimed. "I asked everyone that wasn't at Mya's wedding. They confirmed my answers."
Sue nodded as her friend handed her a sheet of paper with her answers. After a few seconds, she looked up. "I will go find Mya."
Wrought with anticipation, Sarah watched as Sue disappeared into the crowd, emerging about a minute later with the other bride and a microphone. Once the two brides were standing on the gazebo, the music stopped and Sue spoke.
"We were just notified of our first entry application for our little wedding mystery, entered in by Sarah." Sue introduced.
"We'd like to say," Mya started, taking the mic and looking at Sarah, who was standing next to her. "Congratulations! Sarah has won!"
Too excited to speak, she hugged her friends, then ran down the steps to find Drew, hugging him as soon as she was able. "We did it!"
He shook his head. "No, you did it. Congratulations." With that, he gave her a kiss.
Everyone clapped in congratulations, happy for the couple. Sue smiled as she watched them.
"She's pretty good, huh?" Jack asked when his wife sat down next to him.
She nodded. "Yes, she is. Other than Lucy and Tara, she was the only other person really vested in it. But I think Sarah had more drive than any of them.
He nodded. "I think you're right. Good job on the mystery."
Sue smiled as he put his arm around him, the couple watching the goings-on of their wedding. "Oh!" She exclaimed a few seconds later, sitting upright.
"WRONG WHAT?" He asked.
"I forgot to give you something."
"Oh?" Jack asked.
She nodded, then signed a sign he didn't know. It was a J signed with her right hand next to her left hand, which was in the open B handshape. It looked like LAW, AGENDA or RULE, just with a J handshape.
He shook his head. "I don't know that one. What does that mean?"
"You." She replied.
Jack frowned. "Me?"
She nodded. "This is my gift to you; a namesign." She said, repeating the sign.
He smiled widely as he copied the sign as best as he could. "THANK YOU."
Sue smiled widely. "OF COURSE.
He then leaned over to kiss his wife.
?-?
"It's time to toss the bouquet!" Lucy happily announced a little while later, just after dinner was served, but before desert.
Sue smiled as she got up, bouquet in hand, and stood on the edge of the gazebo, facing her husband and not the women who were anxiously gathering around her.
"Ready?" She called, not looking for an answer. "One, two, three!" She exclaimed, tossing it up in the air, the bouquet falling almost literally into Carla's hands.
"I caught it!" She exclaimed, shocked. Sue turned around to see who caught it and smiled. Carla turned to her fiancé, who was lovingly looking at her. "I caught it!" She exclaimed again, walking to him.
"I see that." He replied. "It's quite appropriate."
She smiled. "Yes, it is."
?-? LISTEN TO: Heart Of The World by Lady Antebellum
After desert, Sue noticed some people were starting to dance in their little grassy dance floor they had created. Seeing them slowly dancing, she got up. "Dance with me?" She asked her husband.
He smiled at her. "Sure!" He replied, getting up and taking her hand, leading her onto the dance floor. They arrived, got in position and started to slowly dance. Since Jack couldn't put his left hand around her waist, she gently hung her arms around his neck and he placed his right hand around her waist. After a few seconds, Sue stopped. "WRONG WHAT?"
Sue smiled, leaning down to the ground, slipping off her delicate shoes, slipping her toes into the cool grass. "Ahhh," she sighed, closing her eyes and smiling. It was a beautiful, warm spring evening, perfect for an outdoor wedding.
"Better?" He asked when she opened her eyes and resumed her dancing position.
She nodded. "Now my feet are relaxed and I can feel a bit of the beat of the music."
Jack nodded, then happily smiled as Sue leaned up against his chest. He closed his eyes. It was a magical moment, a magical afternoon. Sure, the morning wasn't so magical, but the afternoon turned out better than expected. Today was the first day of the rest of their life, and he couldn't wait to see what God had in store for them.
