Chapter 4: Inner Demon
Naruto sat in front of the lake in his backyard.
Today was a new day and his training had been going very successful and effortless.
His mother had even said that he was a prodigy in hiding. That had made him a little happy, but he didn't let that get to his head, as Itachi had always told him that ego can lead to a man's downfall.
He had mastered the tree walking exercise and could now run on top of the trees with ease.
Naruto had decided that he would train as hard as he could in order to protect everyone in the village.
He could now understand why the village was so important.
"Naru-chan, what are you doing?" Mito asked as she walked up to Naruto.
"Nothing, Kaa-chan. Just training a little more on tree walking. I can now walk up trees with ease." Naruto said proudly.
"Well, are you ready for the next exercise?" Mito asked curiously.
"Hai" Naruto said as he stood up.
Mito walked in front of the lake as she began explaining the exercise.
"Today I'll be teaching you the water walking exercise," Mito said seriously.
"Walking on water?" Naruto asked shocked.
Mito giggled a little on seeing the shocked face on her son.
"Well yes, comparatively to tree walking this exercise is a lot harder. It won't be easy to master Naru-chan," Mito said with a challenging smirk.
"Bring it on," Naruto said firmly.
"Alright. This training method is used to gain better chakra control. To do this, the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet, and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface," Mito explained briefly.
"Can you show me how it's done, Kaa-chan?" Naruto requested.
Mito nodded and slowly channeled a small amount of chakra in her feet; she then gracefully started walking on the water of the lake.
Naruto was shocked when he saw his mother walking on water.
"She is amazing," Naruto said in awe.
"Well, if you are done praising me, I'd like to explain something to you," Mito with a gentle smile.
Naruto gave a sheepish smile to his mother. Naruto gave her a nod indicating he was ready to learn.
"With tree walking, you learned how to gather chakra in specific quantity in your feet. But water walking is very different," Mito said seriously.
"How so?" Naruto asked confusedly.
"Well, trees are stationery, and the energy you mentioned that trees have is also constant. Water is not like that, it is constantly moving and the flow of energy in it is irregular," Mito said briefly.
"So how can I walk on water, Kaa-chan?" Naruto asked intriguingly.
"First of all, focus chakra in your feet and try to walk on the water," Mito said with a devious smirk.
She knew what was going to happen, but she wanted to see if Naruto could figure out the exercise by himself. Plus his face would be hilarious.
Naruto gave a nod.
Naruto did as his mother told him and put his right leg on the water, and then slowly put his left leg on the water too.
He was shocked when suddenly he lost his balance and fell into the cold water.
He could faintly hear his Mother's laugh coming from the surface.
Mito soon stopped laughing as she saw that Naruto was not coming up to the surface.
"What should I do?" Naruto thought worriedly as he slowly started drowning.
He was scared, he didn't know what to do, he tried to move his hands but the water was far too cold, he felt his energy leaving his body.
His eyes started to close.
He could hear his mother's worried voice to come up but he couldn't.
"Am I going to die?"Naruto thought fearfully.
He didn't want to die, at least not yet. He had so many dreams, so many things to do. He had made a promise to his Mother.
His eyes suddenly widened when he realized something.
"Naruto, you must look at yourself rationally and know who you are, otherwise you would put your comrades life in danger."
He remembered the exact words Itachi had told him.
What was he?
What was his power?
He had to protect everyone.
How could he become successful and make it back alive.
Suddenly Naruto's eyes shot back open as he suddenly grew more powerful.
Mito was about to jump in and save Naruto but stopped when she felt something hot come from the water.
Then out of nowhere, a pool of fire came from the lake, disintegrating every drop of water on sight.
The now used to be lake was covered in layers of fire.
Mito jumped back to dodge the fire and was shocked at what she saw.
Naruto stood atop of a huge wall of fire with his eyes closed.
The wall was moving like a wave and was heading straight towards Mito.
Just before it hit her however, it stopped midway and halted.
"What the hell his this?" Mito thought to herself shocked.
The fames distinguished and Naruto fell down to the ground, in front of Mito.
He opened his eyes slowly and Mito was shocked at what she just saw.
Naruto has unlocked the two-tomoe Sharingan as his eyes were blood red and had two black tomoe in a pin wheel shape in each eye.
For Naruto, everything was black and white and things seemed to slow down massively.
He didn't know what was going on.
"What the hell is this? I feel s-so powerful." Naruto thought to his self smirking.
He was soon brought out of his thoughts as his Mother hugged him.
"Kaa-chan what is happening? Everything is black and white." Naruto asked curiously.
Mito pulled away from the hug and had her hands on his shoulder.
She had a tears running down her eyes but they weren't sad tears, they were tears of joy.
"Naruto! You unlocked your Sharingan!" Mito said happily.
Naruto's jaw dropped to the floor as he was shocked.
"What? H-How?" Naruto thought to his self shocked.
"While I was down there I almost died but then a voice in my head said something that triggered whatever that wall of flame was. I think his name was, Indra?" Naruto said in a questioning tone.
"So he unlocked his Sharingan from a near death situation. At least he didn't have to experience pain of losing his loved one to unlock it." Mito thought to hersmiling happily.
"What did this voice say?" Mito asked curiously.
"I don't know. It was very faint, so I couldn't hear anything really but whatever he said made me feel very powerful" Naruto said.
"That's good...I hope." Mito thought to herself.
She then walked towards the now empty lake and weaved hand signs.
"Water Style: Water Wave" Mito said as she inhaled and then exhaled a huge wave of water.
"Wow! Kaa-chan is so amazing!" Naruto thought to his self amazed.
Then after a few seconds, the lake was filled again.
"Ok Naruto, try the exercise again but try not to drown or disintegrate the lake." Mito said jokingly.
"Hai" Naruto said as he smirked.
His Sharingan was still active and he realized this when he looked at his reflection of his self in the water.
"Maybe if I stop channeling chakra to my eyes, they will turn off." Naruto thought to his self as he stopped channeling chakra to his eyes.
Then as he expected, his Sharingan turned off.
"How did he do that? I didn't even tell him how to turn it off." Mito thought to herself amazed.
"Ok. Its just like the tree exercise, just focus and channel small parts of my chakra to the water but this time constantly." Naruto thought to his self as he closed his eyes and focused.
Mito expected him to fall again and she was immediately gonna save him this time but what happened next shocked her to the core.
Naruto walked onto the water effortlessly as he slowly opened his eyes.
"I did it this time, holy shit I was scared." Naruto thought to his self chuckling.
"Naruto you did it congratulations." Mito said smiling proudly at her son.
She was very proud of her son. He was such a prodigy and she knew one day, he would achieve his dream.
"That's it for today Naru-kun." Muto said running her hand through Naruto's spiky hair.
"Can I finally go over to Sasuke's house?" Naruto asked excitedly.
"Yes you can. Make sure to be back home by 8 though." Mito said seriously.
"Hai!" Naruto said as he ran out the backyard and through the front door of his house.
Mito smiled lovely as she saw her son run out of the front door.
"Naru-chan. Lead this world to peace."
Naruto's POV*
Naruto was currently running on top of rooftops, towards Sasuke's house.
"I can't wait to show Sasuke my Sharingan. After I show him, I have to go to the library and find out if I can find my dad in those history books." Naruto thought to his self exciting but stopped when he heard something.
"Come on, fight back you animal."
"Yeah, your so tough with your little doggie right?!"
"Your just a weakling"
"That's right, tuck your little tail between your legs pussy!"
Naruto heard these things and rushed to where he heard the sound.
Once he was there, he found his self in an alley way. He saw three bandits beating up a little boy who looked Naruto's age.
The boy had neck length black hair with red markings on his face that went from the side of his eyes down to the side of his chin. He seemed to have a dog next to him with white hair but it was currently unconscious.
Naruto jumped down with his knees bent and the palm of his hands open and his head down, making his hair covered his face.
"What the hell do you think your doing?" Naruto asked darkly.
All 3 men stopped beating on the boy and turned around to see Naruto.
"Who the hell are you?!" The man in the middle asked angrily.
Naruto stood up straight and lifted his head up.
All 3 men jumped back from fear as they saw Naruto's blood red eyes.
"W-What the hell is an Uchiha doing here?!" The man to the left said frightened.
"Let me ask you one question. Why were you beating that boy?" Naruto asked in dark, almost demonic voice.
The men jumped back further and gulped in fear.
"T-The little brat over here beat up my brother." The man in the middle said, stuttering from fear.
"And why did he beat up your brother exactly?" Naruto asked.
"Because my brother was making fun of him." The man in the middle said a little ashamed.
"What right does that give you to beat this boy up so badly. He obviously had the right reasons to beat your pussy ass little brother." Naruto said smirking.
"Stop acting so frightening you idiot's. He doesn't even have a fully matured Sharingan." The man to the right said annoyed.
"H-He's right. Lets just beat him up too. Kill him also so the Uchiha clan doesn't have our heads." The man in the middle said gaining a little bit of his confidence back.
The man on the right rushed Naruto and aimed for a punch towards Naruto's head.
Naruto just saw everything in slow motion and easily saw through his opponent's attack with his Sharingan.
"Too slow." Naruto said as he grabbed the mans arm before he was able to Punch Naruto.
Naruto swiftly punched the man's stomach, making the man cough up blood and made him fall to the ground under Naruto's feet, dead.
Then out of nowhere Naruto heard that voice again.
"Kill them."
"Kill them."
"Kill them."
"KILL THEM!"
"KILL THEM!"
"KILL THEM!!!" The voice said over and over again in Naruto's head.
Naruto didn't know what came to him but he suddenly felt the urge to kill these men.
"Yes, kill them I shall." Naruto said demonically while laughing evilly.
The last two men jumped back in fear from that Naruto had just said.
"L-Leave us alone you weirdo!" Then men said as they started running.
"Oh no you don't." Naruto said chuckling as he disappeared.
He reappeared in front of the two men and grabbed them by their necks tightly.
They started flailing and punching Naruto's arm, trying to loosen his grip but Naruto wouldn't budge at all.
"Yes, Die slowly. I want your death to be a slow and painful one." Naruto said chuckling.
After a few seconds, the men stopped resisting and their bodies grew limp.
They were now dead after Naruto choked them to death.
Naruto dropped their bodies, deactivating his Sharingan and started walking towards the boy that just woke up from being unconscious.
Naruto kneeled down in front of the boy as he sat up.
"W-What happened?" They boy said holding his head.
"I saved you from these horrible men." Naruto said as he held out his hand to help the boy up off the ground.
The boy grabbed onto Naruto's hand and pulled his self up with Naruto's help.
"Really? Thanks man, I really appreciate it." They boy said rubbing the back of his head from embarrassment.
"My name is Naruto Uchiha, whats yours?" Naruto asked in a polite tone as his personality took a whole 180 as he was now the loving Naruto we knew before.
"Kiba Inuzuka. Its nice to meet you Naruto." Kiba said smiling.
"Yeah, you too. Hey are you gonna go to the ninja academy this year?" Naruto asked curiously.
"Actually, yeah. Are you going too?" Kiba asked.
"Yes, I am. It will be nice to see you again as I would like to be your friend one day." Naruto said as he started walking out of the alley way.
"Yeah, you too man. I hope to see you Naruto!" Kiba yelled as he waved at Naruto and walked out of the opposite side of the alley way.
Then Kiba grabbed his dog off the ground and realized something.
He sniffed the air and fell to the ground in shock.
"D-Did he kill those men?!?!" Kiba thought to his self and quickly ran out of the ally from fear, his dog held tightly in his hands.
Back To Naruto*
"What the hell was that? That voice was in my head again, its mere presence and being was so powerful. I shouldn't lose control like that again." Naruto thought to his self worryingly.
"Let me hurry up to Sasuke's place before it gets too dark and it's past 8." Naruto said to his self as he started running again.
Naruto didn't even realize that he killed those 3 men without hesitation but someone from the shadows did.
The shadow saw everything.

Now as all of you just read, yes, Naruto is Indra's reincarnation and he is making Naruto take on his will as a pure evil person.
Now Naruto has his inner demon to worry about and slowly but surely, Naruto will feel the need for power and he will stop at nothing to get it, just like how Indra was like before he died.
As for Ashura's reincarnation well you probably already guessed it but I will reveal it when the time is right.
