Lelouch vi Britannia groaned as he placed his sister Nunnally down under the shade of the trees near the edge of the forest that the two of them decided to take shelter under from the rain. Once it was dry the pair would head to Tokyo and try to find a place to hide for the foreseeable future. It had been a month since the first bombs dropped were dropped in Japan by his own country Britannia and eight days since his closest friend Suzaku Kuruguri had left him and his sister to find his own path. He knew that when the first bombs hit the home that he was hiding in the home that he was staying in his father wanted him and his sister dead. The Nightmare frame that they dropped in after was just overkill. Tactically speaking the Kuruguri home that he and his sister were living in was out of the way and held no significant military presence. However, Lelouch knew his fathers plans, He and Nunnally were nothing more than pawns in their fathers game. All Charles zi Britannia had to do was parade around his and Nunnally's corpses to the Brittanian masses and he would have his excuse for this war. Hell, the man would probably still do that using a pair of common born children as body doubles. He knew as long as his father lived, he and his sister would never be truly safe. An eagles cry broke his thoughts as he could have sworn that something landed in the tree that he was under. But when he looked up, he saw nothing.
As the the young Prince mused to himself and used his greatest asset his mind to come up with some plan in order to save the pair his sister spoke to him "Big brother what's going to happen now. Are we going home." Asked Nunnally.
"Nunnally we can't go home. I told you before Father doesn't want us anymore. We have to stay hidden. But I promise you I will keep you safe" Lelouch answered. Even now he couldn't bring himself to break her heart more by telling her the truth of what was going on. The sight of their mothers death left her blind, he was afraid that the truth of their fathers actions would kill her. However before the younger of the two Vi Britannia could respond the sound of brush moving in the woods caused Lelouch to put his hand on his sister's mouth to prevent her from talking as he pulled her in close and tried to make them as small and hidden as possible. But it was for not as at that moment three Brittanian Spec Ops force members walked up to where the two ex royals were hiding and pointed their strange three barreled guns at them. Lelouch despite knowing that it would be pointless put himself between his sister and the three solders. So his vengeance was over before it began Lelouch thought bitterly, but at least he and his sister would be with their mother.
"Told you the gift that our boss gave me would help us find out targets" the leader who had a pair of dark shades on said as he got closer to the pair.
"Lets just kill them and get this over with." Said another Spec Ops solder.
"We're supposed to torture 'em before killing them" The third stated with a deadpan tone.
"What's the point in ruffing up a couple of kids. Lets kill them first and them first then make it look like we did it afterwards" the second solder countered.
"No orders are orders said the leader. Besides, you know what will happen to us if we don't follow them. And he will find out." The leader stated with a smirk. He was going to enjoy this.
Lelouch glared at the men as he held his sister. He would die bravely just like his mother did. Suddenly a new figure dresses in what looked like a cross between a trench coat and tactical gear leaped down from the tree that that the two vi Britannia siblings were hiding under. The man was armed with an ax and dagger, bow and arrows, and a revolver. The stranger landed on the first solder and snapped his neck, killing the man instantly, before putting his feet on the ground between the solders and the children. Still holding on to the corpse of the solder, using him as a human shield, the stranger ran forward as the two remaining solders began firring filling their late comrade with lead. The corps of the dead trooper was flung into the second solder as the stranger grabbed the third solders gun and ripped it out of his hands. The stranger slammed his fist into the solder before grabbing onto is arm and pulled him closer before slamming his knee into the mans crouch. As the solder kneeled down in pain a hidden blade popped out from under the strangers wrist which was plunged into the kneeling man's throat killing him instantly. By this point the third solder had pulled his dead comrade off of him and aimed his gun at the stranger who spun around and tackled the solder to the ground. With one hand on the solder's throat and the other raised with a hidden blade extended ready to strike.
With a gruff voice the hooded Stranger asked "Do you have any last words"
"What you expect me to give some big dying confession. Go to hell" the solder said before spitting in the face of the stranger. As a response the stranger stabbed his hidden blade into the solder's chest killing him instantly. He then closed the man's eyes as he said "rest in peace"
"Big brother what just happened" Nunally whispered to her brother.
"We were just saved, Were going to be ok" Lelouch answered as he hugged his sister not wanting to let go after coming so close to death.
"Lelouch vi Britannia, Nunnally vi Britannia come with me if you want to live." the Stranger said causing the Prince to jerk that the man knew their names. The stranger contiued "My name is Connor Kenway and we have much to discuss"
