Kallen took several deep breaths as tried to prosses all that she had just heard from Lelouch. A shadow war taking place all across history, and her brother was involved in it. And now the Assassins wanted her to join the fight against those that would control the future of humanity for their own ends, not just Britannia but the Templars as well. The templars who had caused the death of her brother. For that alone she knew the answer to Lelouch's question she would fight for her late brother and all those that couldn't fight for themselves. With a determined smile Kallen looked at Lelouch and said "I'm in"

"Glad to hear it Kallen" Lelouch said returning the smile. Kallen felt a small amount of warmth from said smile. She both liked and disliked the feeling. Lelouch took a breath to calm himself as he looked down. as a member of the Brotherhood would need to know who he truly was, and he would have to convince her not to tell her friends about this.

"Kallen what do you know about the late 11th Prince of Britannia" Lelouch questioned, trying to ease Kallen in to the subject.

Kallen blinking at the odd change of subject said "Not much. Only what everyone else knows. Just that he and his sister were sent here as political hostages. They supposedly died during the Brittanian invasion, killed by Japanese solders who made sure Britannia never found the bo-" Kallen stopped speaking as she put two and two together. "your"

"Lelouch vi Britannia. Eleventh prince of the Holy Brittanian empire, seven tenth heir to the throne at your service" Lelouch said with a mocking tone letting Kallen know that he would rather be anyone else.

It took all of Kallen's self control not to slug Lelouch right across the face. She knew that hitting a former prince of the royal family would do nothing for her or her cause. In fact it would be counter intuitive for what she wanted to do free Japan and avenger her brother. But it was still damn tempting none the less. Kellan crossed her arms across her ample chest and asked. "Why the hell would a prince of Britannia fight against the Empire that created him."

"I wont lie and say part of it isn't vengeance, but the truth is I can't stand by and do nothing, I have a little sister, she's blind and cripple, all she wants is a better world, and I want to help her see that better world." Lelouch replied.

"I understand" Kallen replied before adding "You didn't have to trust me but you did with such a big secret"

"Actually it wouldn't have been such a risk" Lelouch said with a chuckle, even without killing her or his Geass he had several ways to keep her quiet, "Tell me if some stranger came up to you and told you that a supposedly dead prince was part of a secret society of assassins that manipulated history for generations, with out any proof. Would you believe them?"

After a brief moment to think about it Kallen answered "No"

"Exactly the fact that we sound like some nut's crazy conspiracy theory helps us stay secret." Lelouch replied, before continuing on "That's why your fellow resistance members can't know the truth right away. They know you and will believe your story. Who and what we are needs to stay secret for now. I'm Zero and my fellow assassins are my resistance fighters. In time I hope we can bring more into the fold, but I need to know who they are first. The life of an assassin isn't for every one."

"I don't like lying to my friends but I understand" Kallen repleid

"Thank you"

Remembering something Lelouch said earlier and she wanted to aske about before Lelouch's identity became the topic of their conversation . she asked "You mentioned a Creed before. What is it?"

Lelouch replied in a very serious tone. "They are the words that all assassin's live by. Nothing is true, everything is permitted."

Kallen raised an eyebrow as she commented "That is rather cynical."

Lelouch shook his head with a small chuckle. He had said something very similar when he first heard the creed. He then decided to give the same explanation that he was given so long ago "It would be if it were doctrine. But it is merely an observation of the nature of reality. To say that nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic." Lelouch stated "Every assassin finds their own meaning to those words. And you will to." Pausing for a second Lelouch looked around before looking at Kellan again "we should move if we talk more. People might get the wrong idea about a Britannia school girl and a hooded figure hiding in an ally way"

"your probably right" Kallen replied

"Don't worry I know a place on school grounds where we can talk." Lelouch replied as he lead Kalen to the student council club house. During this time Lelouch quickly gave Kallen a impromptu lesson on blending into crowds. Having spent a good amount of time hiding who she truly was, Kallen was quickly able to grasp the basics.

Kallen gasped in shock as she looked around at what could only be described as a mansion "I didn't even know this room existed."

Lelouch replied "It's the clubhouse for the student council. They built it as a ballroom for various special occasions. It's a bit much if you ask me"

"And we won't be disturbed inside here?" Kallen asked.

"Yes, that's correct. Only the principle, myself the other members of the student counsel, and Sayoko have access to here, and I don't think that any of them would be coming in today"

It was at that moment that the universe decided to prove Lelouch wrong as the voice of Shirly cried out "Here it is! I found it! Look! This is it, right?"

Lelouch and Kallen looked over towards the sound of the voice and saw one Shirley Fenton holding up a computer chip in triumph. Nina approached Shirley and took the chip with Rivalz close behind the pair.

Nina gave a small grin and said "What a relief you found our lab data."

"Good. My ass is killing me." Rivalz commented

The door opened again and Milly was in an apron carrying a serving tray on wheels of food. Rai followed in last looking tired and gave Lelouch a look that he knew meant that Rai had tried and failed to stop Milly from what ever scheme she was planning. To that Lelouch shook his head knowing that once Milly had something on her mind their was no stopping her. He then saw Sayoko wheel in his sister as she gave a nod that Lelouch returned.

Milly asked the other members of the counsel "Were you able to find it? I finished up on my end, shall we dig in?"

"Wow!"

"Way to go, Milly!" Shirly cried out looking at the feast before her

Milly put on the table the plates of appetizers and then a pot of soup. "You adore me, I know."

Lelouch not knowing what was going on, which was dangerous expecialy with Milly asked "Um, what is all of this?"

Milly continued to put plates of food on the table, "Lelouch, don't you know? I thought that's why you brought her. We're inducting Kallen into the student council. It was my grandfather's idea, actually."

"The principal's?" Lelouch asked

"Mr. Ashford believed that despite Kallen's illness she still needed to complete the requirement to take part in a school club" Rai commented

"He thought it best, with her poor health she'd have a harder time with regular club activities. Oh, I'm Milly, the president of the council. Pleasure to meet you." Milly said as she extended a hand to Kallen

"Oh, thank you, the pleasure's all mine." Kallen relied shaking Milly's hand

Rivalz gave a flirtatious wink "I'm Rivalz, the secretary. If there's anything you need to help with, I'm your man."

"Hi, I'm Shirley. And I'm a member of the swim club. Welcome."

"Hi there, my name's Nina."

"I'm Rai the counsel's treasurer . Its my job to try and fail to keep Milly on budget." Rai said with a playful grin, Milly just pouted to the comment.

"It's nice to meet all of you." Kallen said going back to her weak and sickly persona

"Shirley, I'm sorry but, do you think you could set these on the table for me?" Nunnally said as she wheeled herself as close as she could to the rest if the group.

"Oh, sure, thanks, Nunna." Shirly replied as she took the plates away from the blind girl.

"Nunnally, what're you doing here?" Lelouch asked. He had thought she would be in her room resting.

"well Cousin" Rai started. The two assassins had used the cover story that they were Cousins as a way to explain how they knew each other when Rai transferred to Ashford academy. It also explained why they looked so alike. " Nunnally wanted to see you, and neither of us can resist the look."

"This is Lelouch's sister." Milly stated as she put a gentle hand on Nunnally's shoulder.

Nunnally gave a gentle and kind smile "I'm still in the middle school group, so I can't be on the council yet."

Rivalz then stated in a tone that showed that everyone agreed with him "That's alright. You're an honorary member in our book."

"Hello there, it's a pleasure to meet you, Kallen."

Kallen's heart melted at the sight of the sweet little girl "Thank you. You as well."

Rivalz then proceeded to pull a bottle out of somewhere "Right. Shall we kick this off with a toast?"

Shirley asked in shock "Champagne?"

"Yeah, but we're on the student council, we shouldn't..." Nina added

"Remember the last time you got into Alcohol" Rai added with a chuckle.

"Uh, come on! Just relax. Loosen up you, guys! It's sparkling cider." Rivalz weekly protested before turning to Rai and pointing "You were just as drunk as I was"

Shirley Protested "No way. We're gonna get in trouble!"

"You swear? Let me see that bottle." Rai added

"What's going on?" Nunnally asked not being able too see all the commotion of what was going on."

"Here, Nunnally." Milly said. At that moment Rai and Shirly both went to confiscate the bottle from Rivalz.

Rivalz quickly reacted to what was going on and threw the bottle at Lelouch yelling "Lelouch! Heads up!"

Assassin reflexes kicked in as Lelouch quickly caught the thrown bottle of Cider. The act had shaken the bottle making the liquid inside more volatile and ready to burst. Rai knowing that Lelouch was probably the most responsible person in the room stopped going after the bottle. Shirly consumed by worry didn't and ran to retrieve the drink.

"Ah...Ah...You aren't getting well with it either, Lulu..."Shirly said as she and Lelouch began a game of tug of war over the bottle. Lelouch knew that he could just let Shirly have the thing but their were times that he wanted to indulge in being a normal teenager. The bottle was shaken even more causing the liquid to become even more violate "C'mon, Lulu! Let me see that bottle!" at that moment one of the pair popped the cork causing the liquid to shoot out all over pour Kallen. As one the members of the student Counsel gasped in shock.

"What just happened?" Nunnally asked

"Their was a small accident. Don't worry Nunnally no one was hurt" Rai commented.

"Do we have clothes for her?" Milly asked

"Sayoko's on it." Shirly commented.

In a few minutes Kallen was in the showers to clean herself off from the spilled liquid all over her. she was nearly done. The time she was in the showers allowed her to think about all the ways that she would get back at the rest of the counsel for drenching her. The best part would be that no one save for Lelouch would suspect her. with a grumble Kallen said "This is why I hate Britannians."

A nock on the door pulled her from her thoughts. Form the other side Lelouch said "It's Lelouch. I've brought you a change of clothes."

"You can come in. I've drawn the curtain already." Kallen replied

Lelouch slowly entered the bathroom to make sure that he didn't see anything that he shouldn't "Sorry about all this. I know they can be a little over the top."

Kallen answered "That's okay. Nothing wrong with cutting loose every once in a while, you know."

"These are some of my clothes. Hope that's okay." Lelouch stated not knowing that they would fit due to her figure.

"It's cool. Don't worry about it. That was fast. You went all the way to the boy's dorm? Any secret passage ways that you use as an assassin?" Kallen asked.

Lelouch shook his head with a chuckle "Actually, I live here. It'd be pretty hard for my sister to live off in the dorms. The principal of the school lets us stay here as a favor."

"I see..." Kallen said sadly seeing such a sweet girl given the short end of the stick was hard for her.

"Let me know when your done. I need to tell you about our duties to the student counsel." Lelouch said as he turned to walk out before stopping "One more thing Rai and Sayoko are with us. You can come to them if you need anything."

"That's good to know" Kallen replied. At that moment the water stopped and Kallen somehow forgetting that she wasn't alone in the room pulled back back the curtain to grab her towel. This allowed Lelouch to see Kallen in her full glory. Lelouch was many thing, one of which was a teenage boy full of hormones, this caused him to stair at the sight before him for a few seconds before a cry of Pervert caused him to run out of the room beet red.

A few moments later Kallen walked out of the rest room dressed as she went towards Lelouch who was doing his best to look in any other direction.

"Its fine. That was my fault back there" Kallen grumbled out, she hated to admit that she was wrong but she knew she had to. Quickly deciding to change the subject from her little show to Lelouch she asked "what does the student counsel actually do?"

Lelouch glad for the out from the awkwardness answered "The council doesn't require much actual work, I guess. Beyond occasional paperwork, we'll sometimes plan school events."

"So you mean like the cultural festival?"

"Yep, like that, along with the cross-dressers' ball, the absolute silence party and swim suit day." Lelouch answered with a defeated sigh

"What's up with that?" Kallen asked truly perplexed

"Blame our president. You'll be spending a lot of time with her. Hope you're ready." Lelouch stated "though sometimes she will listen to our ideas, like Rai's suggestion for Sports day"

Before either one of them could continue gasps and screams from the next room, caused the pair to stop and run in

Nunnally who knew the sound of her brother's feet cried out when Lelouch was in the room "Lelouch, it's awful."

Lelouch knew that it probably had something to do with Clovis but asked Anyways "What is?"

Milly answered for Nunnally wo couldn't bring herself to say it "Prince Clovis has been found dead."

"They're saying he was killed." Rivalz added on.

Jeremiah who was on the Tv continued on with his speech "Prince Clovis has been taken from us. He fought for peace and justice against all of the Elevens. He died a martyr. We must all bury our sorrow and carry on his will."

The Tv suddenly switched to show the news reporter and anchor Diethard Ried who said "We interrupt this broadcast with breaking news. The man suspected as the murderer has been captured. According to this report, the suspect is an honorary Britannian. Private Suzaku Kuruguri, a former Eleven and honorary Britannian. I repeat, Suzaku Kuruguri arrested for murder."
