[You have been selected to be reincarnated, allocating random gift.]
[Random gift selected, you have been awarded: Craftsmen System.]
[The Craftsmen System is a robust system, its features include: 'Guide', 'Inventory', 'Craft', 'Quests', 'Skills', and 'Shop']
[You will be reincarnated at 6 years old, as Nakamura Haruto, an orphan and smith's apprentice in Konoha.]
[Transferring memories.]
Waking up in my bed, I feel different. I know I am Nakamura Haruto, but I have other memories too. Those of the future of this world, another life in a different world, and those of my own death in that world. It was frightening, but somehow I didn't freak out, it was weird.
I keep thinking about the strange memories in my head as a new voice appears, talking to me from inside my head. I think I'm crazy.
-Hello Nakamura Haruto, it is nice to meet you. I am the guide for your new system, please ask me if you have any questions at all. I have a personality, so I can give you personal advice as well as strictly professional information regarding the system.-
I think for a moment, before thinking, trying to talk to the voice, 'can you hear this?'
-I can, I hear all of your thoughts and can tell what you are feeling at all times. I hope we can be friends.-
'This is fucking weird,' I think, turning my attention to the new memories, What are these memories?'
-They are from your last life. You died there and reincarnated here, although you just awakened your system and these memories with it. Remember, you are Haruto, not the person you were in that last life. Let the experiences you have here be what drive you forwards, not old memories of a distant world.-
'What is my system?'
-You have the Craftsmen System. Its main purpose is the ability to craft. If you have made something at least once by hand, as long as you have the materials, you can make it instantly using the 'Craft' function. It also has the 'Inventory' function, which lets you store items in a separate dimension easily, the 'Quests' function, which is like tasks provided by the system, in which you get rewards placed into your inventory for completion, the 'skills' function, which shows your level of skill in given areas, and the 'shop' function, which lets you buy items using points gained from quests.-
'I see, so if I complete a quest, I get items and points as a reward?'
-Exactly, now you should probably sleep, we can talk more in the morning, you have a long day of work ahead of you.-
In the morning I wake up and idly chat with the Guide in my head, who I come to somewhat childishly refer to as 'Friend'. As I get ready, braiding my hair back, putting on my loose work clothes, I ask Friend:
'Why did I get a system? I'm not even a shinobi or anything in this world, just a poor orphan who got lucky and became an apprentice.'
-Systems are usually granted to people randomly, or those who have potential.-
'Does anyone else in this world have a system?'
-There is only ever one 'system holder' per universe, but there can be multiple, just living at separate times.-
'I see, thanks. I should go to the shop now.'
Arriving at the shop, I was greeted by the old man, Fuji-sensei, the man who made me his apprentice.
"Hello, Haruto-kun, I hope you slept well, we have a long day of work today!" Fuji-sensei laughs, "I want you to man the front, as usual, then in the afternoon we'll close up, I'm giving you another lesson."
"Yes, Fuji-sensei, thank you." I respond, curious about what it is he wants to teach me.
The day was slow, few customers ever came into our shop, with it being small and near the village's outskirts, it has higher prices than most. We have a few regulars, like this cool woman called 'Anko', she's a shinobi and likes to talk about weapons a lot, although she only seems to use the standard shuriken, kunai and senbon.
By midday, I'm already tired, speaking and selling items to the few customers we did have always makes me feel drowsy, especially the more boring customers who just moan about boring missions.
"Haruto-kun, close the shop, it's time for your lesson!" Fuji-sensei shouts from the workshop.
I quickly shout back, "Yes, Fuji-sensei," Excitedly scurrying to close up the shop, shutting the door and changing the sign from 'open' to 'closed'. I walk into the workshop, where I see Fuji-sensei on a wooden chair in the corner, gesturing for me to sit on another opposite him.
As I sit down he starts to speak, "Haruto-kun, do you still want to become a shinobi?" He asks seriously, "As you know, I was a shinobi before I retired, so I would never stop you from serving Konoha like I once did."
I think for a moment before answering, "Yes, Fuji-sensei." I continue, "I want to be a shinobi to protect those important to me, like yourself."
"That's a fantastic reason to become a shinobi, Haruto-kun." He chuckles, "I hoped you still did want to become a shinobi, I needed someone to pass my techniques onto, and as you know I didn't have kids of my own."
"You want to teach me your personal shinobi techniques?" I ask quickly, amazed at the revelation.
"Not from the beginning, I will teach you basic shinobi skills first, like taijutsu, ninjutsu, shurikenjutsu and how to dispel genjutsu, later moving on to kenjutsu, my own speciality, and the style I use."
As he spoke, I heard the Guide's familiar voice in my head ring out:
-Quest Obtained-

-Learn 1 Taijutsu style-

'So this is a quest, huh? Cool, I'll do it!' I think before speaking, "Thank you, Fuji-sensei, it will be amazing to learn from you."
"It's no problem Haruto-kun. If anything, I should thank you." He laughs before standing, "come on outside, we will start with Taijutsu, I use a style called the 'Strong Fist', it's quite an old style, dating back to near the founding of Konoha..."
