Sitting at the corner of the familiar solitaire place, her elbows were placed on top of the table, hands supporting the head that dare to fell of frustration. One by one, the slight images that appeared on her begin to disappear as they all seem a wrong idea. A little sigh escaped from her mouth as she thought about the current situation they were in, the problem every and each one of them couldn't stop thinking about. Fingers began to tap the table, desperate.
The sound of the door opening didn't woke her up from the trance. The footsteps of the person that entered were quiet yet fast to get right in front of her without the country bumpkin noticing at all. A pair of black shiny shoes was all she began to see after giving notice there was someone standing in front. It was a he and she knew more than anyone who was. Giving a big smile while raising her head, her eyes began to sparkle by what she was beholding.
"Good morning, country bumpkin" his smooth voice and the sweet smile that he carried was more than enough to make her heart skip a beat, and even more when she took a glance of what he was holding.
"I brought this for you" it was strange to see a Casanova like him like this, acting all shy while holding the bouquet of flowers in his hand. Slowly he offered them to her and she grabbed carefully while still looking at him in the eyes.
"Yi Jeong sunbae" she sounded timid but joyful to see this wonderful gift while standing there, not knowing what to do next.
"Don't call me like that. You don't have to use it with me" with a slight tone of offended, the potter remembered how she had many times called his friend oppa, and it totally got him jealous. Even though he didn't show it at that moment, he couldn't stop thinking on why she couldn't even say some kind of cute word to him. Rubbing the back of his head a bit awkward, she messed with his hair for how cute he looked.
"Thank you" the country bumpkin said with a big and bright smile, smelling the sweet scent of the flowers plus the manly perfume that got mixed. A silence filled the place while Ga Eul was still looking at the gift her boyfriend made her, not knowing what to say next, getting nervous by the sweet gaze that Yi Jeong was sending to her.
"This is the part where you're supposed to give me something back" the potter said without hesitation, giving a big smirk and placing his right hand on his pocket with lots of confidence. The message was supposed to be clear for her to understand what he wanted in return. Glaring up to see his eyes, her confuse gaze could be noticed for one second before her expression changed. A big smile flew across her lips and gave a firm nod. Yi Jeong's smirk couldn't even be more huge than it was now as he now was waiting for her to make the move.
Slowly she handed the flowers to him again, pressing them against his chest with a slight confusion. Ga Eul smiled innocently. Yi Jeong quickly closed his eyes, expecting to feel something, a touch, a sweet and soft touch at any moment, but nothing. Looking now, his country bumpkin was out of sight, she was no longer in front of him, and he wondered what happened to her. Inspecting his surroundings just to see where she could be, the door of the kitchen opened and the potter fixed his eyes on the sweet girl. A smile appeared on his face of how innocent Ga Eul could be. He was asking for a kiss but to the country bumpkin it was just literally something in return. Carrying a plate of porridge, she sat on the table where she previously was. Her eyes shine and her bright smile show him that she was satisfied with what she was returning back. So Yi Jeong stood quiet for this time, appreciating that she at least thought of him in this way. Telling about what he really wanted could ruin the moment and he was no hurried either for a small peck.
Sitting down and looking at the warm food, he noticed how the eyes of the commoner were fixed on him all happy that he was going to indeed enjoy a meal right in front of her. A sweet but small grin he wore, this was the little things that appreciated the most with her.
"Do you want some?" raising his hand and holding a spoonful of porridge, Yi Jeong tried to persuade her to eat with him, but she refused, shaking her head and telling him already ate.
Right on that moment the door flew open and hit against the wall. The bell begin to became that terrible sound more than ever before. Ga Eul got scared by this and look at who was the one making this noise so early in the morning.
"GOOD MORNING!" a cheerful voice became familiar to the one eating the porridge. So Yi Jeong's back was facing the person who just entered, but now that he noticed by the annoying voice who it was, he just rolled his eyes and continue eating.
Waiting for a reply with a happy smile, no one greet her. Ga Eul was just looking at her very confused by that entrance the girl did. "I said GOOD MORNING" raising her hands again and closing her eyes while yelling it, the monkey girl felt a little annoyed that no one responded back, not even with a welcoming smile.
"Unnie" the commoner finally woke up from her trance and got up to meet her. "What are you doing here?" it was of no manners to greet someone like that, but her curiosity win this time. It felt weird to have her again here. She was rich, why in the world would she come here, Ga Eul asked to herself. Only one time had she come and it was to invite them to eat. Uh oh! What could be this time, the country bumpkin asked herself again.
The door from the kitchen opened with a confused yet annoyed commoner wanting to know what's going on. "What is all this noise?" screamed a bit Jan Di before realizing who was the person. Her eyes grew wide for a bit, surprised to see no other than the monkey girl.
"Jae-Jae Kyung" said stuttering for how embarrassed she was for reacting that way.
"I came here because we need to go out this night" Jae Kyung only said and looked at them with an excited expression. But the two girls just looked at each other confused by this sudden words.
"As you two know, I'm getting married tomorrow, so I need to go out for this last time and I want to go with you" jumping a bit like a kid that wants something, she hold both girls arm and shake them a bit trying to convince them. Ga Eul looked at her best friend who was having problems to understand what Jae Kyung was saying. It hurt her, a lot. The pain in her eyes reflected that she didn't want to participate on this, but seeing how the monkey girl was their friend now and how happy she was, a no for an answer seemed rude.
"Thank you, thank you!" she embraced them really thight.
"But where are we going?" Ga Eul asked with a shy voice.
"Obviously to party" Jae Kyung's grew wide of excitement. "We are going to a club" she said.
At that same moment where she finished that last sentence, someone began to choke. The loud sound of the coughs made the three girls turned to see what was happening.
So Yi Jeong was hitting himself on the chest. "What did you said?" he asked while standing up from his seat, not believing what she just told them.
"Ga Eul, are you going?" totally ignoring any answer that could be given by the monkey, he fixed his eyes on the country bumpkin. The voice of the potter sounded preoccupied, he obviously didn't want for his precious girlfriend to go with them at that kind of places. Any clubs was full of perverts and guys who would try to make a move, that's what scared him.
Looking at both girls that were standing beside her, she seem to innocently think while So Yi Jeong was still very serious. He knew she was indeed thinking on going. "If unnie wants me to go, I will" an innocent smile could be seen in her face. Ga Eul was not kidding or making a bad joke about this, she was serious on this one. Right at that moment So Yi Jeong try to inhale and exhale deeply. He couldn't tell her not to go, it was her decision, but her decision was affecting him enormously now.
"If unnie tells you to jump off a bridge, will you do it?" even when it sounded like a question, he didn't want a response to it. The Casanova just wanted for her to realize how dangerous it was to go and follow around that monkey who was always making trouble, and mostly when the place they were planning to go was probably filled with idiots to his understanding.
"Yah! I wouldn't never tell her to do that" said Jae Kyung very offended, not understanding what was his real point here.
"Yi Jeong sunbae" Ga Eul couldn't believe he just said that. He sounded just like her mother and that was sometimes not good. Understanding what was the reason of this sudden behaviour of his, she quickly grabbed him by the arm and pulled him outside the shop, leaving the girls a little curious and confused.
"What's the problem?" asked the country bumpkin with a bit of worry.
"I don't want you to go with her" he finally admitted with a worried tone.
"Why not?" she asked not understand the reason behind.
"I just don't want you to be surrounded by perverted eyes. Those places aren't for you, Ga Eul." he said while looking at her eyes very preoccupied.
"Not every place is like that. You just think on who can look or hurt me. Don't you think I can have fun without you thinking something can happen to me?" her face became serious, she was evidently upset by this. No wonder that it was only his constant jealousy to her understanding.
Turning around without wanting to hear more from him, she stopped for a second. "I'm going" she said with a low voice, a little sad that he was against it. Before she could open the door, she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"I love you so much that I don't want you to get hurt, not even think of a slight possibility" with that said, he turned around and walked away from there. Ga Eul was a bit impressed by his words, feeling suddenly guilty for her harsh words. Before she could say anything to him, he was already inside his car, looking at her very innocently before driving away.
"We have a problem" those were his first words after leaving his girlfriend. He acknowledged that arguing with her to not go wasn't going to work. He had another plan.
"What's the problem?" the person on the other line of the phone asked. It was Woo Bin.
"Hasn't Jae Kyung told you anything lately?" he asked out of curiosity, wondering if maybe she could have told him where she was heading tonight.
"No. Why?" the Don Juan asked again, gaining more interest now.
"I need you to find me out where she is going tonight" Yi Jeong said while still driving, stopping at a red light.
"Let me guess" a sarcastic chuckle was given before he could continue. "Ga Eul is going with her, and you're worried where they could head to, right?" his voice sounded a bit bored, he knew his best friend more than anyone.
"Am I that predictable?" laughed the potter.
"How do you know they're going out?" asked again way curious.
"That monkey invite her in front of me. They are going to a club, but I don't know which one" after saying that, a noise was heard on the other line.
"Woo Bin?" asked the Casanova worried.
"I'm fine. My phone fell to the floor" said with an obvious voice that could tell he was trying to act cool.
"Maybe I should come too. That would be fun" Woo Bin tried to sound casual, but the potter knew more than anyone what was going through his mind. But leaving it like that was the best, he didn't want to annoy his friends with comments or questions for now.
"Just call me when you know the place" closing his phone now he couldn't stop thinking about his girlfriend and where she could be planning to go this night. It seem unbearable for him to even think that somebody else could dare to speak or touch her without her own permission. Clubs weren't meant for innocent girls like her and he more than anyone else knew it. Living all his life as a Casanova going from club to club gain him experience and he knew Ga Eul wouldn't survive alone, even more with that monkey, in a club full of dirty man looking for fun.
Five minutes only passed and a text message from his best friend was delivered to him. Eyes grew wide as he couldn't believe what he was reading. It was such worry now that, for a moment, he totally forgot that he was driving. A loud honk awoke him from his worry thoughts and dodged the car in front of him before anything bad could happen. Sighing and closing his eyes for just a second, he mentally swore killing that monkey girl when he could get a chance. The club where they were heading was very famous for how dangerous it was. It didn't fit right into his mind why Jae Kyung wanted to take them to that certain kind of place. Maybe she didn't know much about it and pick a random place, but what a random place!
Looking at herself in the mirror she wondered if this was a good idea while examining her dress. A heavy sigh came out from her mouth, she knew this was going to be a long night and even more with what happened today. Stop thinking about her boyfriend was impossible and even more with who and where she was going tonight. Lots of thoughts ran into her mind while still looking at her face in the mirror. Sad feelings were mixed inside her; arguing with Yi Jeong and knowing that her best friend might possibly lose the love of her life tomorrow was making her feel depressed for all this situations. Now that she thought about it, it was since Jae Kyung came into their lives that this was all happening. But again, she was no one to blame her for all the trouble. It was the fault of the monkey girl that her parents engaged her to someone she didn't even know back then, and even more, she wasn't the one who cause that she and the Casanova argue. Jae Kyung was just another victim of time and circumstances, and even though she could have anything she desired for, Ga Eul felt pity for her. The commoner knew she wasn't happy with that life, the eyes of the rich girl reflected it. There were only times where true happiness could be seen shining on her face, but it was just a few occasions, where even when it was the least person who could make someone loved and happy, Ga Eul knew the monkey girl felt comfortable with.
Glancing to the dress that was above her knees, very above, she felt a bit insecure of herself. It was not her skin or body, it was of how she was going to expose a lot to the public eye. Pulling her dress down as if it was going to stretch, the commoner felt embarrassed for how different of a girl she looked, hoping that the yellow dress with sparkles didn't caught the attention from anyone to her. The dress absolutely made the formation of her body be visible for anyone and that worried her. Everyone knew she was the F4's Casanova's girlfriend, and giving a wrong idea was consuming all of her worries to.
Suddenly a knock was heard and that's when she awoke from all of her thoughts. Glancing one last time to the mirror, she nodded to herself before picking up her purse. This night she had to be there for two of her only friends. It was going to be so hard being friend of two at the same time when they were going through different problems that are at the same time connected. Comforting Jan Di was the more she could think about as she knew Jae Kyung wasn't going to shut up for how excited she was for tomorrow. At the same time, she was there to have fun with the rich girl who was the one who invited her. Sighing one last time, she was determined that this night couldn't go wrong.
"Ga Eul, why did you took so long?" the monkey girl quickly scanned all the apartment from outside while the parents of the country bumpkin looked at her very weird.
"Let's just leave" she stuttered a bit and closed the door behind with a forced smile on her face.
Jan Di was beside Jae Kyung with an expression that could tell she wasn't liking at all this idea. It made her angry to think of how good the commoner with short hair could be to others even if they have hurt her. But once again, she couldn't blame or critisize her for that, she guess that's why they were friends, they were the same on that kind of situation; always sacrificing their happiness for others.
"We are going to have so much fun tonight" placing her arms around the two commoner's shoulders they soon left the building. Jae Kyung couldn't feel much happier than now as she knew this night was her last as a single woman. Even when her mind was trying to convince her that the feelings towards Gu Jun Pyo were real, her heart was screaming inside, telling her that the love she felt didn't belong to him. Refusing to accept that for the fear of disappointing her parents, she was determined to get in love with him no matter what.
The sound of the music could be heard from outside. People were making a line in front of the place, looking for a chance to get in somehow. Even when it was exclusive, there has been more dangerous nights than any other club. Only famous gangsters and mafia people were the most noticeable.
Soon as they stepped outside the door, a feeling shake them before Jae Kyung hold her arms and pull them to the entrance. No security guard stopped her, they all knew who she was even though she has never been there before. Every kind of man looked at them as if they wanted to take their clothes off with their stare. The commoners felt like they were naked, bringing all the attention from everybody. At that moment the two of them regretted to have come, not bringing at least a coat that could cover their body completely.
"I have reserved a table just for us. We are going to have the night of our life" after that she gave a small scream of excitement while walking towards their table.
The place was filled tonight. The music was too loud and the people were crazily dancing on the floor like there was no tomorrow. Never in their life have they seen this kind of place. It was nothing like where they went before with the F4. This was much different.
"Let's get some drinks and dance" said Jae Kyung very excited while standing up now from her seat. The two commoners looked at each other with a unsure look. Suddenly, the hand of the country bumpkin was pulled by the monkey while Jan Di was still sitting, deciding what she was going to do. Lowering her head, she told them to go without her for now. She needed time for herself, to be alone before starting to pretend everything was fine.
Lots of requests were made while they try to walk down the stairs to the first floor. Lots of man would stare and ask them out but an awkward look was all they could give before finally getting to the little bar to get something to drink. This was new to Ga Eul but it seem normal to her friend as she gulped shots like it was water.
"Let's dance!" she screamed in excitement while pulling Ga Eul to the center of the dancefloor. Her moves were natural, dancing like she was a free spirit, careless of what was happening around her. In the other hand, the country bumpkin would try to follow her moves very awkward, not knowing what she was doing. The only thing that could make her mind occupied and not preoccupy for what people could think of her was the face of Jae Kyung. Even when she seem to enjoy this much, it was clearly visible to her eyes what was happening inside her soul. The monkey girl was screaming in pain and nobody was noticing. Covering it was not working as Ga Eul could feel all her negative emotions. Those emotions were being thrown on the floor, making clear this was the last night she could do anything for herself, choose whatever she felt like it. It hurt the commoner to watch and wait what was going to happen next without knowing how to help.
After minutes of random but hot music, and dancing with different guys around her, Jae Kyung decided to drink some more, always pulling Ga Eul by her arm to everywhere she went. Two handsome guys followed them behind, it was the rich girl who invited them to come along and the country bumpkin couldn't feel more awkward now.
"Give me another shot" told Jae Kyung to the bartender while laughing. There was no doubt she was getting more drunk. It wads like she wanted to forget everything for tonight, and Ga Eul noticed.
"You should have something to drink" suggested one of the guys that were with them. His smile was seductively making her change of thought while glancing down at the glass of alcohol he was holding. Still unsure on what to do, she felt a sudden hand at that moment on her shoulder. Turning her head to see who it was, she saw Jae Kyung giggling.
"Come on, Ga Eul. Don't be afraid to drink" after saying that she returned with the guy she was talking to, having now a little flirt with him.
Looking at the glass of alcohol for one last time, she took it and started to drink. The guy's smile grew wide with each and every sip she try to gulp down her throat. The taste was horrible and felt like it was burning her inside, but the fear of being different from them made her accept under the pressure of the stares given.
"It's good, right?" asked the guy while leaning a bit close to her since the music was too loud. Ga Eul nodded with her face still looking disgusted for the new taste in her mouth.
Thirty minutes past and the mood completely changed for the country bumpkin. Feeling happy each time she took another drink or shot, she danced around with the others while Jan Di was still up there, looking worried to them. It was no doubt she had come before and try to pull them away, but the girls were now decided to stay on the dancefloor and enjoy the fun and laughter between them and the guys that were still with them.
"I'm so tired right now" laughed Jae Kyung while trying to sit down on a seat in front of the bartender. Ga Eul try to do the same but her dizziness made her fell to the floor. The girls laughed while the guys looked at each other, satisfied with what they have done.
"I can't stand. I guess I love the floor" the country bumpkin said giggling loudly while trying to get up. One of the guys helped her and sat her down. The other one whispered into Jae Kyung's ears slowly, making her turn her head to the side and look at his face very seductively.
"I think I may leave now" said the rich girl to her friend while placing her arm around the guy's shoulder, still laughing for how funny she thought they looked.
Ga Eul try to tell her something but her tongue was too tangled to even say just a word. The only sound that came from her mouth was laughs, trying to understand the situation. After Jae Kyung was out of sight, she placed her head on the table, taking a few seconds to rest it while laughing.
"We should go now too" said the guy while touching her hand now. The country bumpkin raised her head to look at him and laughed.
"Where do you want to go, silly?" she messed with her head suddenly. Ga Eul was very drunk at this point, not caring for her actions now.
"Let's go to somewhere private" the guy slowly started to pull her by the arm and she didn't make any effort to stop him. Standing up now, she shush him while closing het eyes, trying to think.
"I know. You want to go to the bathroom, don't you?" she laughed and ignore her. Putting his arm around her hip, he started to walk with her.
"Wait. I don't want to go with you" she said and try to push him away.
"It's going to be fun" the guy said while he stopped from walking as the commoner didn't want to continue.
"It's going to be fun when I put my fist down your throat" someone said while placing his hand on top of the guy's shoulder. It was no other than the famous Casanova as every girl was screaming in excitement that the F4 was here.
"Yi Jeong sunbae, you came to join our fun?" said his girlfriend while reeling, having trouble to stay still. Some hands immediately grab her from behind, surrounding her stomach.
"She's drunk" Woo Bin announced to his best friend while he inspected her with his eyes only. Turning to look at the guy, his deathly serious face couldn't look more worse than ever before.
"What you did to her?" even though the potter knew the response, he felt so angry, furious for making this to her. Never she have been drunk, and now she was standing there, with the help of the Don Juan, laughing and giggling about everything that was not funny.
"I'm going to take Ga Eul outside" said Woo Bin while pulling her away, almost carrying the commoner. The F4 member knew the guy was going to have it bad and before Ga Eul could see any of it, it was better to put her in a safe place.
"How's Ga Eul?" asked Ji Hoo preoccupied. He was already outside with Jan Di, who was also worried.
"Look at her for yourself" Woo Bin said while handing her to the violinist.
"Hey there, Ji Hoo sunbae. I like your nose" she said while poking it and making weird sound noises.
"But, where is Jae Kyung?" asked Jan Di with wide eyes.
"Don't worry, she's having fun" the country bumpkin said very relax and with a drunk smile while hugging now Ji Hoo.
The eyes of the Don Juan immediately went wide open and he became frozen for just a second. "Ga Eul, where is Jae Kyung?" he quickly reacted, shaking her shoulder and asking her over and over again.
"She went with this guy, I don't know where" those were the last words of her before completely falling asleep on the shoulders of Ji Hoo. This surprised him seeing that she was still standing up, leaning against him.
Without thinking anymore the Don Juan quickly ran inside and looked everywhere, ignoring what was happening almost in front of his eyes. His mind was set on finding the monkey girl. The bathrooms were just full of unknown people, no girl that he could recognize. The table that the girls reserved was now taken by some other person, and no one knew about the girl he was talking about. This was the time he was freaking out, cursing under his breath for how stupid she could be at times like this.
Returning back outside, his friends looked at him with hope that everything was fine and that she was with him now, but nothing. Without saying anything, he ran again but this time outside the building, looking near it.
Sudden giggles were heard when he walked past by a hidden corner. That voice was definitely recognizable for him, but he wonder why she was laughing at a moment like this. Looking now at the direction where two people were, he saw the shape of the monkey's shadow. They were covered in the dark and if it wasn't for her loud voice, the bodies couldn't been seen at all.
Running towards them, Woo Bin didn't hesitate to pull her out of the way immediately, separating them both. She was still wearing her clothes, not even one was taken off. Jae Kyung made an effort to stand while the Don Juan was now pushing the guy to the wall very hard, grabbing his neck very furiously.
"You don't ever do this to a girl" he said while choking the guy, who was trying to take away his hands from his neck as he couldn't breath.
"Even more to her" a punch connected to the guy's stomach, and then his knee gladly did so too, making the guy to fall the ground while having a hard time to breath again.
Woo Bin turned around and looked at Jae Kyung very serious before grabbing one of her arms and start to pull her to get away from there. But the girl just pulled back.
"I don't want to go with you" she said with a whiny voice while pursing her lips and trying to push away.
"You're coming with me" tired to hear more drama of her and even more when she was this drunk, he leaned his body and grabbed her from the back of her legs, making her stomach be on top of his shoulder. Trying to kick was effortlessly as she couldn't reach any part of his body with her legs.
"You're going to regret this" she screamed while he just walk like nothing was going on, returning to where his friends were. When Jan Di and Ji Hoo looked that Woo Bin was carrying the girl, they were now more relief for it, knowing now that she was fine.
Putting her now on the floor, she punch him on the chest lots of times before feeling weak and tired. Ji Hoo pulled her away from the Don Juan with a bit of a smile and Jae Kyung turned around unexpectedly. Looking how comfortable Ga Eul seem sleeping against him, she did the same, making a bit of a space for her. This caught of guard Ji Hoo as he opened his eyes widely while the other two of his friends smiled.
"Shouldn't Yi Jeong sunbae be back by now?" asked Jan Di a bit curious.
Woo Bin let out a gasp before realizing something must have happened. Even though he had run a lot, he didn't felt tired at all and even more now that the adrenaline was rushing through his body.
Telling them to stay there, with the girls, he entered quickly and looked for his best friend. A huge crowd was making a circles; guys seem excited while the girls were shouting at someone to stop, they looked terrified.
Woo Bin ran there and saw the unexpected; Yi Jeong was getting beat down by a bunch of guys. It was the leader of some group Yi Jeong was punching, now everyone was making the dirty job for the guy. Without waiting any millisecond to pass any long, the Don Juan quickly and ran pushed everybody put of his way until he he was inside the circle. One of them was...was stepping and crushing the Casanova's hand now. He screamed in pain whole trying to make an effort to get up, but the other guys where there, pushing him down.
Woo Bin quickly fought against them. Throwing away with kicks and punches to everyone who was hurting his dear friend. Some mafia leaders recognize him and immediately helped him with the other ones who dare to try to touch them.
Yi Jeong was screaming in pain. He couldn't even believe it himself. His hand felt weak, he couldn't move it correctly.
"I need to take you to a hospital" said Woo Bin in his ear while pulling up his body and placing it behind his back, carrying him out of there where no one could see or hurt him anymore.
Running outside, Jan Di and Ji Hoo look petrified to what was happening, to how Yi Jeong was injured. Woo Bin didn't have much time to explain now as he placed him inside the car and ran fast to start the engine.
"Take care of the girls, I will call you when I can" those were the only words he said before disappearing down the streets, leaving them speechless and without knowing what to say or what to do now.
Uh oh! What's going to happen now to Yi Jeong?
Was the fault of Ga Eul for being in that place?
How will she feel when she gets to know what happened?
What will happen with the wedding?
