Phew, finally done please enjoy the chapter but before that, everyone wish Hoshiro aka RG, the co author for this fic a Happy Birthday!
Now that's done, on wards with the chapter.
"Ugh," Minato groaned as his eyes recoiled shut from the light in his room. His head was about to split in half from the migraine that was wracking it.
"Darn it," Minato cursed, feeling some sort of pressure on his shoulder. He turned his head around to see what caused it but all rational thinking flew out the window and Minato flushed a deep red.
"H-Hamuko?" Minato stammered as he saw the auburn haired girl asleep on his shoulder. Minato thought of getting up and cleaning his other wounds up, but he didn't budge an inch. He didn't want to cause any discomfort to Hamuko.
"She was crying again…" Minato mused quietly as he observed the dry tears on her face. Minato sighed and dropped his head back to the pillow, his eyes fixed on Hamuko.
"Damn you, Hamuko, your attitude even made someone like me fall in love…" Minato trailed off, gently caressing her face with as soft a touch as he could make.
"Tch, I thought I was immune to charm," he muttered, "But dammit, she makes me want to hug her forever… But, I can't, I won't…"
By then, Hamuko began to stir. Her scarlet eyes opened slightly and were greeted by a blue ceiling. It wasn't her room. Rubbing her eyes, Hamuko muttered, "Sneaky senpai and overnight paint jobs."
"Ummmm…" Minato tried to say something but the words got lost in his throat. Last night's kiss flashed over and over again in his mind, making him extremely nervous. "Um, this isn't your room…" Minato finally stammered a response.
Hamuko's head snapped back and her eyes opened wide. She was resting on Minato's shoulder. Holy crap, she was resting on Minato's shoulder. However, instead of feeling ashamed or pissed, she let out a huge cry.
"Minato!" she shouted as she sat up and hugged Minato, nearly knocking the breath out his lungs and suffocating him. "You're okay! I'm so sorry; I damn near killed you because of that fucking Shadow," Hamuko sobbed and it again, reminded Minato of how sweet she was.
"It's okay…" Minato sighed.
"No, it isn't. I cried the whole damn night remembering what I did to you!" she bawled, touching the gash on his gut, "I would have killed myself if something bad happened to you."
"Hey, I can't die… Don't worry," Minato smiled, trying to reassure her.
"But the pain…" she mumbled.
"Used to it, besides, you totally hammered the Shadow," Minato laughed slightly. That is, before his mind clicked and he registered that Hamuko's arm was still battered.
"Tch, you stupid girl, you could get an infection." Minato scowled, he rummaged through his desk and pulled out a first aid kit.
"I'm fine…" Hamuko winced from the pain.
"You're not…." Minato said, opening the kit and applying the medicine to the wounds, before slowly bandaging them. "Besides, I gotta repay the favor."
"Then beat the crap out of me," Hamuko replied stubbornly.
"N-No, I could never do that," Minato stuttered.
"Aw…" Hamuko cooed.
"I mean, repaying the favour of how you cleaned up my wounds last night," Minato replied, clarifying the situation.
"You knew?" Hamuko asked frantically, her cheeks reddening. She hadn't expected him to be conscious during that.
"Yeah, but I slept during the time when you cleaned up my face. I was kinda reflecting on stuff," Minato sighed.
"Reflecting? On what?" Hamuko asked.
"Oh, uh…" Minato stammered, "I was reflecting on… Why couldn't I hit you back." Minato cleaned the wounds and set the kit aside, "Normally, if that was Junpei or Takeba, I would have broken them into bits… But I couldn't do that with you," he tried to explain.
"Why not?" Hamuko asked curiously.
Minato wanted to shout out his love to her but he relented. She deserved way better than a monster that Minato was. Her even being called his girlfriend was a disgrace. After all, Hamuko was the nicest girl he ever met. Why would she ever want to be together with someone who was a demon himself?
"Because… You're a friend," Minato finally replied, "Probably the first friend that I have since the incident."
"Yeah!" Hamuko cheered, ignoring the pain that stung in her wounds as she grasped Minato's hand and lifted it up. "Best best best friends for life!" she grinned.
Minato smiled inwardly, despite his true feelings. At least he was friends with her; that was good enough for him. He took a few deep breaths and spoke, "Yeah… Hamuko…" Minato trailed off, but he finally managed to say it."Chan."
Hamuko's hand dropped because of the shock, her crimson eyes widened at Minato who blushed.
"W-What did you say?" she gasped.
"Uh, Hamuko-chan?" Minato repeated. What came next was something Minato never expected. Hamuko opened her mouth and let out some sort of scream that resembled the one that his fan girls gave.
"Kya!" Hamuko cried, hugging Minato again. "That was so cute!" she said with a sing-song voice.
"R-Really?" he stammered, still trying to get a grip on the situation.
"Yeah, you'll call me that from now on, right?" Hamuko gave him the puppy dog eyes, and of course, Minato couldn't say 'no' to that cute face.
"Sure, Hamuko-chan," Minato smiled.
"But seriously Minato, if I ever go crazy again, hit me back," Hamuko said through the hug. Minato only nodded but inside, he knew it was impossible.
…
Hamuko and Minato were called to the command room to discuss what happened. Mitsuru crossed her arms and began the meeting. "Luckily, we are still in one piece," she began.
"Thanks to Hamuko, of course," Akihiko smiled slightly, pointing towards auburn haired girl sitting beside Minato.
"Aw, come on, senpai!" Hamuko smiled sheepishly. But that melted into sorrow as last night's events began to resurface in her mind again. "Besides, if it wasn't for Minato's extreme…" she said as she flinched, "…Damage capacity, I would have done some else to Yukari-chan and Junpei-kun. Plus, he even fought the control of the Shadow."
"Tch…" Junpei didn't take that kindly.
"Want to say something, asscap?" Minato sneered at Junpei who shot him a glare. Of course, Minato shrugged it off easily. "I won't take credit. Hamuko did all the work, she utterly tore the Shadow apart, I was passed out for the duration of it."
"Because of me!" Hamuko cut in.
"Don't stress yourself, Hamuko-shan," Minato sighed.
"Chan?" Yukari repeated with a sceptical expression.
Minato fixed an intense glare on her, "Any problem, Takeba?"
"N-No, nothing." Yukari replied. Akihiko just looked on dumbly, not knowing what 'chan' really meant. Mitsuru however, was smiling. She was pleased with the overall change that Minato displayed towards Hamuko.
"Plus, you awakened to the Wild Card. That's pretty awesome," Minato started.
"Wild Card?" Mitsuru asked.
"Yeah, the power to wield multiple personae, she summoned a total of three different ones during the battle," Minato replied.
"Well yeah, I do sense four little guys in my psyche right now. There's a scorpion like dude, another one who looks like he jumped straight out from the horror movies, my special Orpheus who is as pretty as ever and finally, the Judge of the underworld," Hamuko listed them off.
"That's good. We have two guys who can summon multiple personae," Akihiko grinned, "Our battles are getting interesting."
"But, I still feel Minato-kun's summoning capabilities are still stronger than Hamuko's," Fuuka noted, "As a rough estimate, Hamuko can house no more than twenty Personae, which I can calculate. Minato-kun , however, I think he has access to over a hundred of them."
"Still a notch above me, eh?" Hamuko grinned, elbowing Minato.
"Hmph," Junpei glared at Minato out of annoyance. "Perfect bastard," he muttered.
"Some people never change, eh?" Minato spat.
Junpei's eyes narrowed, "Are you talking to me?"
"Yeah, the most pathetic guy on the team," Minato smirked.
"Watch it!" Junpei stood up.
"Watch who? You? Man, you're the same guy who's willing to snap at girl who's doing her job. Can you get any more worthless than that?"
"Don't class me worthless!" Junpei shouted, standing up. Minato did the same.
"Iori, calm down!" Mitsuru commanded but Junpei had none of it.
"Minato… Calm down," Hamuko pleaded.
"Alright…" Minato obliged and began to walk away.
"Huh, says the guy who got his ass kicked by a girl," Junpei sneered and with that, Minato stopped. He walked back over to Junpei and got in his face.
"Yeah, you know why? Because I care about her," Minato hissed. "But you, you're the fucking idiot who'd be willing to kill her just because you'll end up as the hero. Aren't you the same fuck that nearly killed her on the train?"
"D-Don't call me that!" Junpei said, barely controlling his rage.
"Minato let it go," Hamuko tried to drag him away but Minato held his ground. Junpei had definitely touched a nerve.
"Do you really think that anyone would respect you if by some chance you become the leader? No, we wouldn't. Hell screw them all, I can never respect a fucking ass clown such as you. You fail Junpei, you fail at studies, your love life and just when you thought things couldn't be anymore sucky for you, a girl came along who is stronger than you'll ever be!" Minato snarled.
"You're just genetically average," Minato smirked, "Always the one who'll be Minato's bitch throughout his time with SEE—"
Minato couldn't complete that as Junpei launched his fist right towards Minato's face, hitting his cheek.
Minato backed away from Junpei with a sick smile and said, "Finally grew some balls, eh?" Sneering, Minato stomped over to Junpei who tried to throw another punch but this time, Minato blocked it.
"You still suck!" Minato replied, slamming his own fist into Junpei's face.
"Stop it!" Fuuka cried but the brawl had already begun and there was no stopping it now. Minato kicked Junpei right in the gut, before grabbing him by the head and throwing him into the wall.
"You two faced bastard!" Minato sneered. Junpei let out a roar and charged again. Minato easily sidestepped it and drove his knee right up Junpei's gut who screamed out in pain.
Junpei powered back to his feet. Minato smirked; he grabbed Junpei by the collar and slammed him onto the gigantic computer in the command room.
Junpei found his head bouncing off the keyboard of the monitor, not once, but twice. Minato rammed his head twice on it before throwing him back onto the ground, Junpei's head busted wide open.
"Pathetic!" Minato forcefully made Junpei stand up. The capped teen threw a punch right at Minato's bruised gut, making the blue haired teen give out a hiss of pain.
"Fuck you!" Junpei tried to follow up with an elbow strike but Minato managed to dodge out of the way.
"No, screw you," Minato hissed, throwing another punch right towards his gut. "You asshat, look at you. You can't even fight properly and you expect to become the leader."
Akihiko tried to separate the two but he was casually shoved away by Minato and just rammed Junpei towards the wall, repeatedly kneeing him in the gut. Junpei spat out blood, but Minato didn't stop.
"You've been obsessed by this stupid fantasy you have. Becoming a hero!" Minato growled and forcefully made Junpei stand up, throwing a hook onto his face.
"You really think you'll become one?" Minato spat, "When you can't even control your fucking emotions!?" Minato threw him onto the ground again.
Junpei powered his way back and faced Minato, multiple bruises visible.
"Wake up now or die dreaming!" Minato shouted.
"Stop it!" Mitsuru commanded, but they didn't listen.
"Shut up!" Junpei drew his evoker, pointing it towards his temple.
"Don't even think about it!" Minato's voice shifted to unearthly and demonic tone and launched a fireball at Junpei's Evoker, making the teen throw it away because of the burn.
"I'll kill you!" Junpei shouted, drawing out his sword.
"I'd like to see you try, bitch!" Minato yelled back, materializing a sword from Nihil Fusion. Minato and Junpei charged at each other, Minato easily dodged the slashes and threw Junpei's sword to the ground. But, before he could utterly tear Junpei to bits, he was separated.
Hamuko and Mitsuru held Minato back and due to Hamuko, Minato didn't protest and just smirked at Junpei who was being held by Yukari and Akihiko. Poor Fuuka was sobbing in the corner.
"That's quite enough," Mitsuru hissed in irritation.
"Heh," Minato smirked, licking the blood from his lips, "That gave him a dose of reality."
"Ugh," Junpei groaned before he passed out from the injuries, even as Minato was still standing.
"Arisato! What have you done!?" Mitsuru yelled at him.
"Not of my fucking problem!" Minato thundered at her, "He started all the crap. Who the fuck is he to comment on me? I didn't make myself get this power, I was born with it. If he can fucking outshine me, he should go kill himself than to verbal duel me."
Mitsuru was quiet during his lash out, "But the physical…"
"He started that too. He couldn't answer me back so he threw the fist first," Minato glared at his unconscious body. "I'm a jerk, I get that, but I never EVER hurt people who don't deserve it," he muttered. With that, Minato walked away. No; stormed off.
"Minato!" Hamuko ran after him while S.E.E.S attended to Junpei.
"He took out Junpei like it was nothing. And he was injured too," Akihiko said in awe.
"Arisato is possibly the strongest persona user on the earth," Mitsuru mused aloud. "Tch, Yamaghishi, bring the bandages," she demanded.
With that, Fuuka ran off, still thinking about how helpless she was to stop Minato and Junpei.
…
A gigantic shockwave completely decimated the nearby rocks as a figure clad in blue stood in the rock terrain, with a gigantic being towering over him.
"I'll kill you!" The figure laughed, "How dare you take away what's mine!"
…This was the strongest Persona user on Earth.
Hoshiro AN: Let's get the next arc started, shall we? Plz box us yo thoughts, Nights and I would appreciate it!
Imma see ya guys later.
Yoshikunitsu: Oh. I wish I had a better phone so I could bask in the awesomeness that is Persona on my screen too. Because HTC themes suck.
Hahaha, that is pretty true, putting it that way.
Unofficially of course, but they're getting closer, ne?
Kind of… I don't think it does unfortunately.
Maybe he will! And sure will.
Gin: Haha, I guess that's kinda true. And kick ass she did. Perhaps it might, at least some time down the road. Yup!
Hm… I think they can, they can definitely tell that they've done something wrong, that's for sure, especially when someone stares at them intensely, they will shrink back if they're smart enough… But that is only from one dog that I know about. I can't be sure. Haha, it shall be mused on.
Aniki120: Nah, I wouldn't feel bad for it either.
Glad! It's probably mine too.
Bystander: Nope. I feel I may be starting to realize that no matter how much we can try to make people hate this Minato, uh well… needless to say it isn't working that well, even if it only lasts for a few moments.
