Hamuko woke up with a splitting headache, a tremendous level of fatigue and a dull ache in her heart. Minato was in longer in S.E.E.S. He left after a false accusation which resulted in a vicious beating and the withdrawal of the probably the most powerful persona user on their team.
"Minato..." Hamuko said weakly. The brunette sitting next to her released a sigh. Hamuko was finally up.
"Are you okay?" Yukari asked softly.
"Minato..." Hamuko repeated, this time with gritted teeth.
"Hamuko..." Yukari tried to calm her down but Hamuko lost her usual calm self and went into a blind rage. The auburn haired girl let out a shrill scream and exploded, trashing around her own room and flipping, kicking and punching everything in her range.
Yukari watched in shock as Hamuko kept destroying her room, continually shouting out Minato's name during it all. She was getting real close to exhaustion once again and so she collapsed onto the ground soon after she broke the mirror.
Yukari gulped and walked over to Hamuko who bent over, smashing her fists onto the ground with usual sniffs coming out. The brunette bent down to her level and clasped her shoulder.
"Hamuko..." Yukari said, rubbing her back as Hamuko stopped abusing her knuckles.
"He left..." Hamuko bit her lip. "All because of those fucking idiots."
Yukari cringed at her comment but she brushed it off. "He'll come back. I'm sure of it." She smiled slightly. Hamuko slowly rose up and faced Yukari who widened her smile.
"A-Are you sure?"
"For a fact. After all, he does love you," Yukari said, pulling her best friend into a tight hug. Hamuko finally stopped fighting back the tears and began to cry.
"We'll get him back. We can't do stuff without him after all," Yukari said as Hamuko kept sobbing on her shoulder. Deep down, she was happy. Someone finally began to understand that Minato wasn't an animal. He was a human who was carrying more baggage than anyone could even fathom.
...
Mitsuru, Junpei and Akihiko made their way into the lounge. Usually Minato would be sitting next to Hamuko on the couch and he would insult them and walk away but he wasn't there this time and instead of feeling happy, the three ending up staring at the ground in guilt, still enveloped in thick despair. Ikutsuki was dead and their most powerful asset had left the team. With threats like Strega and Theodore running around, they were fucked.
"He'll kill us..." Akihiko broke the tense silence.
Junpei sighed. "Probably right..."
"It was all my fault," Mitsuru said. "I trusted him over Ikutsuki."
"I wouldn't blame you. Ikutsuki was always nice to us..." Akihiko gritted his teeth. "While Minato treated us like shit, but in the end... He was the good guy."
"It doesn't matter," Junpei added in. "We got played but I don't think Minato gives a damn about this. He'll start attacking soon."
Mitsuru cringed and slowly went up the stairs, her head hanging low. She was exhausted beyond belief. Just after the taxing shadow fight, this happened and Minato being completely innocent made it a lot worse for her. She nearly killed her own junior while trusting a traitor for years.
"Mitsuru..." Akihiko called out to her but the redhead didn't listen and she just kept on walking up the stairs.
"... I wonder if Hamu-tan's okay," Junpei placed his hand on the welt forming on his cheek. "She slapped the piss outta me."
...
Shinjiro had left Minato after bandaging him up to best of his limited abilities. He even gave him some money for a meal. Minato thanked him with an extremely forced smile and clenched teeth which Shinjiro found quite amusing. Right now he was all alone.
Minato fought back the pain as sweat dripped down his chin. Thankfully there were no punks since it was real close to morning. Resting himself against the wall, Minato began to think... or more like started planning out the vicious beat down he was about to unleash on those fuckers.
"I'll kill them," Minato swore, clenching his fist. "That red haired bitch! How dare she put her foot on my head. And that fucking albino... How dare he punch me!" The memory nearly caused him to enter his state of insanity once again but the pain quickly brought him back to reality. He couldn't do berserk without healing first.
That left Junpei and that robo-bitch. Junpei was no problem for him, since Minato had beaten the crap outta him on more than one occasion. Aigis however would prove to be a problem. Aigis was the only one that exceeded him in brute strength and in a pure fist fight, he would lose badly. And since he didn't really have an evoker with him, he wouldn't do shit to Aigis.
"I gotta get the evoker. It's my only chance..." He mused.
"Interesting..."
Minato bolted up straight upon hearing that voice, despite his injuries. It was cold and calculating, no doubt it belonged to that naked hippie that Minato had came across numerous times in the past. Facing him right now wasn't such a good idea, Takaya had a small army and Minato was alone... and pretty banged up.
"Dammit..." Minato bit his lip. Shinjiro wasn't going to save him right now.
Takaya made his way towards the battered teenager, a calm and eerie smile on his face. Minato heard shuffling coming from the shadows. That shadow loving bitch was here as well. He also saw a massive frame behind Takaya, it was that brute that Minato defeated months ago.
Takaya stopped inches away from Minato with the brute behind him, looking as menacing as ever. Tsukio emerged from the darkness as well. Thankfully, the fake blunette and that ass clown weren't around.
"..."
Takaya grinned at Minato who snarled in response.
"The fuck do you want?" Minato growled.
"You shouldn't be shouting. That won't do your health any better," Takaya advised.
"My health and my body. Fuck off before I kill you," Minato warned, despite his injuries and being outnumbered, he was still as fearless as ever.
"If you fight us right now... you will die," Takaya stated and it was the cold, hard truth.
Minato blew his bangs up. "I don't really give a shit," He said without a hint of fear. "I never feared death..." He courageously flipped off everyone of them and it pissed the other two off.
Tsukio was about to charge at him with her knives and Keima was ready to squash the helpless teenager like a bug but Takaya shouted and halted both of them.
"You will not touch him," He commanded as the two begrudgingly obeyed him. Minato blinked. Where the hell was he going with this?
... Oh right.
"So you saw what happened?" Minato said, clutching his injured arm. "I'm pretty pissed right now so I suggest you leave before I kill you all."
"Stop with all those threats which you can't back up. At full strength you could probably kill a few of us but right now... you are helpless." Takaya said.
"Kill me then, you stupid moron," Minato spat out.
"We would. You are a powerful persona user and your brute strength is mostly unmatched. Killing you would surely ease our road to victory but..." Takaya smirked. "Having you as an ally would pave the way further."
"I'm not joining you assclowns..." Minato said, as he started to walk away from the scene.
"Need I remind you that you are severely outnumbered against them?" Takaya spoke, halting Minato.
"I don't give a fuck!" Minato sneered. "I don't hide myself behind my lackeys like you do. I've brutalized..." He pointed at the brute who was barely on his last threads of self control. "I've beaten," He pointed at the black haired girl who snarled at him. "And I've done it all alone."
"We share a common goal, dear friend," Takaya spoke. "All we wish is for them to stop meddling in the tower. We simply wish for the Dark Hour to be eternal while they wish to destroy it."
"I don't give a crap about what you or they want," Minato spat. "Get lost!"
"You will die without us and you know it, fool!" Takaya finally shouted at Minato who snarled back in response.
"Don't you fucking tell me that!" Minato shouted in response, getting ready to fight.
"You fool, don't waste your life dying without making a difference in this world!"
"I couldn't care less about this world. All humans are fucking scum, all of them deserve to die!" Minato shot back.
"Including them?" Takaya asked.
"Yes! YES!" Minato yelled back. "I want them dead, I want them dead at my feet!"
"What about that girl?" Takaya asked again and this time Minato stopped.
The blue haired devil bit his lip. He loved Hamuko more any thing. She was the first and only girl Minato fell for. He would battle against the whole world for her without any qualms. She was the sole reason that Minato joined S.E.E.S and probably the sole reason that he was still alive.
"..." Takaya watched Minato curiously. This was the time to see if his love was stronger... or his hatred.
Minato kept thinking about the heart warming memories he shared with her... but this time, something even overwhelmed his love for Hamuko. Flashes of his beat down at the hand of S.E.E.S took over his mind, pushing the warm memories away. They slapped, kicked and insulted him over and over again. They treated him like shit. He kept yelling the truth but they didn't and instead they trusted that blasted chairman.
The horrible beating had finally caused Minato's limitless rage that was somewhat controlled these past few months to flare again. His vengeance was the single most important thing to him in the world right now. Hamuko wasn't going to get in the way of his vengeance. Disrespecting him to that level meant death.
In the end, Minato's rage was stronger than his love.
"I don't care..." Minato finally spoke, his eyes cold as ice. "She won't stop me. I won't rest until my thirst for vengeance is satiated."
"Excellent..." Takaya walked over to him. "We have the same goal. And by joining with us, you can do it more efficiently than on your own. Not only that, we will destroy the Kirijio Group as well." He held out his hand for a shake.
Minato finally accepted it with his good arm. Takaya was pleased but Minato harshly pulled him closer, tightening the hold around his hand. "Let me get this straight. I'm joining in for my ambition only, as soon as I killed all of them... I'm leaving."
Keima and Tsukio were not pleased but Takaya smiled calmly in response. "Deal."
...
The males were on the couch. There was no chatter or jokes, they knew they fucked up pretty bad. Akihiko sighed and began sewing his boxing gloves up, while Junpei played with his cell phone. Mitsuru hadn't come out of her room after a trip to the command room. Yukari and Fuuka avoided them and Aigis... she didn't really care about Minato.
Someone walked down the steps and it was the second last person the two wanted to face right now.
Hamuko's usual cheery smile was taken over by a hateful glare. She was barely holding herself back from pummeling the two. "You fucking morons!"
The two males cringed. Junpei stayed quiet and Akihiko spoke up. "W-We were wro-"
"Shut the fuck up!" Hamuko shouted at the two of them with never before seen venom. She really hated them right now.
"Hamu-tan, please for-" Junpei was cut off by the redhead once again.
"I told you to shut up, asshole!" Hamuko silenced him. Junpei was surprised, she never really cussed this bad.
"I told you. I fucking told you and that red headed bitch about what would happen," The two widened their eyes. Did she just call Mitsuru a bitch? Hamuko was going places where she never went before.
"What will you do huh?" She walked closer to them. "With him we are worthless! We don't stand a fucking chance against Theo or Strega. Do you idiots realize that!?"
Akihiko hung his head low but Junpei gritted his teeth. She really hit a sore spot.
"All of you will die without him and you know it," She sneered. "He had to carry the load on his back while you weaklings were lying on the ground." She looked at the two for a response and after a few seconds she began to walk away. "Fucking worthless."
"... Doesn't change the fact that was an utter bastard," Junpei spoke up and Hamuko lost it again. The constant pressure the redhead was under the past few months was really getting to her. She was wounded and hurt most of the time, her stress levels were rising to new heights because of Theo and Strega. She was almost at her limit after what happened to Minato and Junpei's comment sparked a change in her which nobody could handle.
She snapped...
Hamuko let out a horrific roar that shook the whole building apart and scared the living crap outta the two. A blinding headache rocked the female as she lunged at the capped teen, knocking him to the ground.
Akihiko tried to make heads and tails of the situation. What the fuck was going on?
Hamuko repeatedly socked Junpei on the face with her fist. Her strikes were inhuman, no mere girl could be this strong. She harshly lifted the teen up by his hair and rammed him into the wall. Junpei cringed and a vicious nut shot later, he was on his knees. Hamuko grabbed his head and smashed it against the wall, flooring the teen.
Akihiko charged ahead to restrain Hamuko but the redhead easily dodged and grabbed a hold of his wrist. She pulled it against his back and like Junpei, she rammed his head onto the brick wall, sending him to the ground as well.
She wasn't done though. She began stomping over the two males who in normal conditions were quite stronger than her but right now, Hamuko's strength was sky rocketing due to some unknown reason.
"You fuckers!" She kicked Akihiko away and grabbed onto Junpei's collar. "You fucking worthless piece of trash! How dare you insult him! He was more of a man you'll ever be!"
Junpei snarled in response.
Hamuko let go off him and took a step back, she was sweating more than usual and her back was in some serious pain. Her head was spinning as the guilt and anxiety kept building up. Suicidal thoughts flooded her mind as Minato's memories came rushing in.
She felt her legs wobble and soon she collapsed onto the ground. How was she going to deal with this all?
She felt cold, even though it was the peak of summer. She felt alone and utterly devoid of hope. The pain kept building up as Hamuko let loose a few tears.
"..." Akihiko watched with a severely pained expression. The scars were far deeper than he thought.
Hamuko gave a helpless whimper as she curled into a fetal position, her eyes totally devoid of hope and her face expressionless. "Minato.." She quietly kept whispering his name over and over again.
Hamuko had finally broken down.
The females rushed down the stairs to find Hamuko curled up. She was constantly shivering and utterly broken. Her spirit and will was shattered and this left S.E.E.S in deep shit.
...
Minato observed the list. It included the name of every single fucker that did him wrong, and the first name on the list was Junpei. And this time, Minato was ready to kill.
Thanks again the sadist group. In-human, psychotic douches but again, they helped me tons. Thanks brahs.
As you can see, Hamuko suffered a nervous breakdown. I'd like to make one thing very clear : As the fic goes on, Hamuko will get darker and darker, as you noticed, she isn't giggling or skipping around much now, because she's under a ton of pressure. She'll change, she won't become an asshole like Minato but she'll get dark, nobody can be the same after going through shit like this, right?
I'd like to say, this will get even more darker and brutal. I'll put a warning when it gets too outta control, alright?
Again, please review. Demand speeds up supply yada yada. I can actually/might finish this in september if you guys stick with me. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Anyway, toodles from the sadist group.
