Chapter summary: Prowl finally opens up about the loss he suffered.

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

It had been a few hours since repairing the last space-bridge and Omega was on the move again, they would reach the next space-bridge within a day or two at the speed he was going, he wouldn't continuously push his engines to full power since he knew his current limitations better than anyone, even Ratchet and he was a Medic, but he would alter between full power and cruising speed whenever he felt the need to, and the fact he did have an autopilot function so he didn't have to continuously focus on flying and could recharge when he needed to or focus on something else.

Currently it was just Ome that was on the bridge, the others were in their quarters resting, well except Ratchet who was in the Medbay in another part of her Sire's alt mode. She and her Sire were talking with Sigma through their family bond of the day's events.

"You nearly got into a fight with Bumblebee?" Sigma's amused voice asked through the bond.

"Yeah…" was Ome's sheepish response "only because he was asking the same question over and over again"

Sigma laughed a little "I get what you mean, but your Sire's right, you can't go attacking someone if they're annoying" he replied "if we went by that logic Sentinel would have a target the size of Cybertron on his back"

"Sigma" Omega warned.

"What? It's true" Sigma responded.

Ome giggled a little "I had to partner up with Bumblebee to keep an optic out for suspicious activity, he admitted that he's a bit scared of Sire" she said.

"Did he?" Omega asked.

"Yeah, I'm not too sure as to why" Ome admitted.

"He just has to get to know him is all" Sigma assured "we all know Omega here is a teddy bear at Spark" he sent a teasing nudge to his older brother.

Omega sent the notion of rolling his optics.

Ome giggled as Sigma laughed.

"Ome and Bumblebee encountered a ninja bot named Prowl" Omega said after a minute of comfortable silence.

A flicker of surprise from Sigma "Really? I think Jazz has mentioned him a few times when I've talked to him" he replied "he's not seen him in a long time"

"Initially he was annoyed that I'd destroyed this boulder thing he was meditating in, and I thought he was a bit aloof, but when he met Sire he seemed to change" Ome said "he's a bit…formal"

"Sounds like he has a lot of respect for Guardians" Sigma mused.

"He did start to respect Ome as well once he found out she was my daughter" Omega replied.

"He probably thinks he has to be formal around a Guardian because of the whole respect thing" Sigma replied.

"I thought that too, it really isn't that uncommon for some Cybertronians to be more formal with us for the sole reason of us being Guardians" Omega said.

"You'll probably have to tell him he doesn't have to be a tight aft" Sigma replied with a smirk.

"Well I'm not going to word it like that" Omega replied with his own smirk.

Sigma laughed a little.

Ome giggled.

"But yes I will tell him" Omega said.

"Alright, so how far you got to travel now?" Sigma asked.

"Should reach the next space-bridge in a day or two" Omega responded "I'm planning on alternating between full speed and cruise speed to give my engines a good workout, Ratchet said it'll be good for them"

"And what about recharge?" Sigma asked.

"I got the autopilot function, remember?" Omega responded.

"Oh, I forgot about that, I barely use mine" Sigma replied with a sheepish smile.

"We never really had a need to since we never travelled too far from Cybertron" Omega said.

"I feel sorry for you Uncle, you have to stay on Cybertron after everything that's happened" Ome added.

"Don't worry, on my days off I usually go on a space flight for the day" Sigma assured "it gives me a break from Cybertron and when I get back I feel refreshed"

"Well as long as it helps you Sigma, that's all that matters" Omega responded as he saw Prowl enter the bridge "speaking of which, Prowl has just entered the bridge, so Ome and I will need to go"

"No worries, I'll talk to you two tomorrow" Sigma replied with a smile and sent his love to them "safe journey"

"As always" Omega replied as he sent his love back.

"Bye Uncle" Ome added and smiled as she sent her own love, then she turned her focus to Prowl "hi Prowl"

"Hello Omega, Ome, I hope I wasn't intruding on anything" Prowl replied.

"No it's alright" Omega assured.

Prowl bowed his helm and walked over to the seat that was at the front in the middle, as Ome was sat in the seat at the front to the left "May I sit?" he asked.

Ome blinked her good optic at his formality "Uh, yeah sure" she replied.

"Of course" Omega added.

"Much appreciated" Prowl responded and sat down.

Ome glanced to the console "You're gonna tell him not to be a tight aft right?" she asked through the bond.

"Yes but I'm not wording it like that" Omega replied before he said aloud "how're you settling in?"

"Relatively well, I appreciate the quarters you allowed me to use" Prowl replied as he looked at the console.

"No problem" Omega responded "you know that you don't have to be so…formal, around Ome and I"

Prowl looked a little surprised "Is that so?" he asked.

"Yes, I do appreciate the respect, but I'm not one for formalities" Omega replied before his voice sounded amused "if you had met the other Guardians, you would have realised quite quickly that none of them were that formal"

Ome couldn't help but smirk "Like Uncle Gamma and Uncle Zeta" she replied.

Omega chuckled "Exactly" he said before his attention went to Prowl again "but on a serious note, I would rather you enjoy the journey and be a bit more casual"

Prowl had certainly not expected that, but he nodded and relaxed a little in his seat "I will try to, forgive me my mentor talked quite highly of the Guardians and how much respect to give you" he replied.

"Who is it?" Ome asked.

Prowl bit his bottom lip before he sighed "Was" he corrected.

Ome blinked her good optic "Oh, sorry I didn't know" she apologised.

"It's alright" Prowl assured "as for who he was, his name was Yoketron, or Master Yoketron as I would call him"

"I met Yoketron once back in the Golden Age, he had come to visit Crystal City" Omega replied, recalling the old memory "I'd say I was middle aged at the time" he then gave a soft snort of amusement "I was quite bewildered with how formal he was with me once he met me"

Prowl couldn't help but chuckle slightly "Yes he spoke highly of the Guardians and how he had the honour of meeting one, he did recall how bewildered you had been at the time" he replied.

Ome giggled a little.

Omega chuckled slightly "I wasn't as used to it at the time, eventhough Alpha Trion did say to me that it can and will happen, it still threw me off all the time back then" he said "but I'm used to it now"

Prowl nodded and smiled a little, he then sighed a little.

"What happened to Yoketron since you used past tense?" Omega asked.

Prowl debated on whether to talk about it, it was a bit of a sore subject, but maybe talking about it will ease the pain of loss. He sighed "Are either of you aware of a mech named Lockdown?" he asked.

Ome shook her helm.

"I've heard about him, he is a bounty hunter" Omega replied to Prowl's question.

Prowl nodded "He is" he replied "it…it was Lockdown that killed him"

"Frag, really?" Ome asked.

Prowl nodded "Jazz may know of him, since he was taught under Yoketron like Jazz and I" he replied.

"He turned on his own mentor" Omega said.

Prowl nodded slowly "Yes" he replied "I haven't seen Lockdown since that time, but I hope to avenge Yoketron"

"I understand where you're coming from, but getting revenge isn't going to make the pain of loss go away" Omega replied "I lost nearly all my family to a Decepticon named Blackout and I knew that he needed to be taken down, but I also knew that getting revenge would do more harm than good, he did get taken down and it gave me some relief that he was no longer a threat, but it didn't ease the pain of loss, that kind of thing takes time to overcome, it's probably something that Ome, Sigma and I will never fully recover from, but since we're there for one another it eases the pain and makes things easier on all of us"

Prowl took that information in and nodded a little.

"I'm sure that you will get your chance to take on Lockdown, but all I'll say is don't go headlong into it, even if he is your fight, you have to go into it with a clear processor and know when to back off" Omega said.

Prowl nodded as he relaxed properly in his seat "I will do my best to follow that advice" he replied, he had to admit that his Spark didn't feel that heavy now, it felt like some weight had been lifted off of it because he had talked about the loss he had suffered of someone who he had held so much respect for, he could admit that agreeing to come along was a decision that he was not going to regret.
