The members of SEES weren't prepared for the night. Junpei, Mitsuru and Fuuka were downstairs, the atmosphere tense and shitty as usual. The Dark Hour hit the world seconds later and it only intensified the bad atmosphere lingering in the dorm.
It was a night they would never forget.
Unknown to them, Minato was making his way towards the dorm, his ruthless and cold personality in full effect. From the moment he woke up, his thirst for blood was at an all time high.
He had no plan. He just wanted to head in there and get this shit done with.
He told Strega to keep out of his business which Takaya accepted with a smile. Sho was going to be joining them later. No way he could miss out on such a 'reunion' between Minato and his former teammates but he had some stuff to take care of.
"HAHAHA!" Minato's rage easily overcame the warm memories of Hamuko that were flooding into his brain. "Stupid bitch!"
"..." Fuuka tensed up, feeling something approaching the dorm. It was familiar somewhat but analyzing it alone made her suffocate. The other two seemed to notice Fuuka struggling to breathe.
Junpei was about to ask her but he was stopped dull in his tracks as the door was sent flying to the other side. The deathly aura and the stench of iron... Junpei barely stood up to see Minato standing at the entrance. His look was crazed beyond the usual one and the capped teen shivered.
"Ari-!" Mitsuru gripped her rapier and tried to call out the rest but Minato was way too fast this night. He pressed the evoker to his temple and yelled out. "SAMAEL!" The serpent released a purplish orb of pure energy that exploded in seconds, sending tremors through out the dorm.
Junpei was knocked to the ground and Fuuka was barely able to cling onto consciousness.
Mitsuru crossed her arms at the last seconds and it helped in lessening the damage somewhat. The empress gritted her teeth and looked straight into his soul. "You fool!"
"Time to die, ice bitch!" Minato spat out, pulling his sword out.
"GRRR!" Mitsuru charged for her former teammate and Minato met it head on. The two clashed their weapons, producing a multitude of sparks. The clash was brutal and it sent both of them reeling backwards. Minato regained his balance and charged for the redhead once again.
"KILL KILL KILL!" The voice hammered the same word into his brain again and again. Minato parried Mitsuru's sword away and kicked her to the side. Mitsuru managed to retain her footing but she ended up coughing out some blood.
"HAHAHAHA!" Minato laughed coldly.
"What the hell is going on!?" The rest of the team, minus Hamuko came running down the steps.
Aigis locked her eyes onto Minato who was snickering out loud.
"SHIT!" Akihiko cussed, his arm still wrapped up in a sling.
Shinjiro cracked his knuckles and shot a glare at the blue haired demon.
"Minato-kun," Yukari called out, yet she was quivering. "W-What happened to you!?"
Minato didn't seem to hear her as the same voice ordered him to kill them all and he couldn't refuse that.
"Surround him!" Mitsuru ordered.
Shinjiro and Aigis surrounded the former leader of SEES as Mitsuru made her way towards him once again. Akihiko and Junpei watched on helplessly.
"This isn't Minato-kun!" Fuuka cried.
"What the hell do you mean!?" Junpei asked, his eyes still fixed on the laughing psychopath.
"I can feel it. He's not Minato-kun!" Fuuka repeated.
"DEATH!" Minato held his fist up and yelled on the top of his lungs, summoning the God of Death which caused the dorm to quake once again. Thanatos gave out a bestial roar of dread and rage that sent the brain's of the others into a frenzy.
"KILL THEM ALL!" Minato ordered as the God of Death formed another purple sphere between his jaws and it detonated moments later, sending another wave of almighty energy all over the lounge. Shinjiro and Aigis managed to withstand the attack and Mitsuru fell to a knee.
Yukari and Fuuka were knocked onto the ground and Akihiko barely held on. Junpei kept standing with one hand on the couch. He couldn't even move right now due to his injuries.
Aigis shot like a bullet for the deranged bluenette and Minato readied himself. He dodged at the last seconds and hammered Aigis onto the ground with a punch that even the android felt.
He was about to drill a sword through the back of her head but he was sent staggering to the side by a punch from Shinjiro. Minato easily recomposed himself and saw Mitsuru and Shinjiro closing in for together.
"HAHAHAH!" He laughed once again, unloading a bullet into his temple and summoning Seth. The blackened dragon made the other two hesitate for a few seconds but they pressed forward, making Minato laugh again.
There was a blast of magma that sent blistering flames all around the dorm. Mitsuru couldn't hold her scream in as the flames engulfed her, making the redhead yell out loud in pain.
"SHIT!" Akihiko charged forward, despite his arm wrapped up in a sling.
Minato dodged a fist from Shinjiro and replied with a nasty haymaker that sent the beanie clad teenager crashing into the oncoming Akihiko. The two friends groaned in pain and Minato charged forward, kicking both of them to the side.
"W-What the hell..." Junpei bit his lip. "Why..."
"Pretty simple," A cold voice answered him and everyone turned their heads towards the entrance. Every member of Strega were stationed at the entrance, except for Sho and Steve for obvious reasons.
"S-Strega too?" Akihiko bit his lip. This was surely going to be the death of SEES.
Takaya watched in with great amusement as Minato took advantage of the distraction and smashed the android into the ground once again, laughing while doing so.
Junpei finally had enough. He might as well die fighting like a hero. With every bit of strength he could manage, the capped teen charged for his former leader.
"Junpei, NO!" Fuuka cried out but it was too late.
Minato easily weaved through his blow and gave him another gash on his abdomen. The capped teen let out a raspy 'shit' before he pulled back but Minato stalked forward, ready to slice his head off this time.
Mitsuru stepped in and slashed the Fool right on his back. Minato bit his lip and let out a pained laugh that shocked the redhead and made her take a step back. Minato twirled around and shot like a bullet, spearing Mitsuru into the counter.
Mitsuru let out a loud yell of pain as Minato grabbed a hold of her red mane and threw her to the side.
He was about to follow and end her life but Yukari finally stepped between the two, her eyes barely holding back the tears. "Minato-kun..." She whispered as Minato sized her from head to toe.
"Yukari, get out!" Shinjiro yelled out, finally standing up.
"Please..." The brunette continued as Minato kept sizing her up.
"..." The rest looked on.
"Hamuko won't like-" Her name made Minato explode once again. He dashed ahead and grabbed a hold of Yukari face and smashed her head into the wall. The brunette slowly slid down with a pained whimper.
"You stupid bitch!" Minato was about to punch her again but Shinjiro charged in and took the blue haired demon to the ground.
"Should we help?" Jin asked as Shinjiro struggled to hold Minato.
"No," Takaya answere calmly. "It would be far more beneficial if he ended up dying as well."
"Heh," Tsukio grinned, satisfied with his answer.
Minato eventually wrestled out of Shinjiro's grip and kicked him in the head. His head was smashed onto the ground moments later as Aigis appeared behind him and slammed him to the ground.
"You robot-bitch!" Minato snapped, his voice markedly more different from his usual tone. It wasn't his demonic tone but something entirely different.
Fuuka cringed again. Something was wrong here...
Akihiko charged forward and kicked the downed blunette right in the ribs, sending him crashing into the wall. Minato's rage erupted once again and he immediately stood up and let out a horrific roar that sent the team into panic once again.
"YOU WEAK PATHETIC FOOLS!" He yelled on the top of his lungs, materializing another sword and glaring holes into his enemies. Minato charged and ducked underneath Aigis' fist and cut her up on her chest, sending the android to a knee.
"DAMMIT!" Shinjiro cussed, shooting himself with his evoker, summoning Castor.
"Penthesilea!"
"IO!"
"Polydecues!"
"Hermes!"
Soon, Minato found himself surrounded by personae, all of them radiating rage like just him but it was nowhere near close to his level in quantity.
Yukari gritted her teeth. "Damn you..."
Mitsuru readied herself. "Don't let him su-" But it was too late.
"DEATH!" Minato shouted, summoning the God once again. Another bestial roar made the rest lose their concentration for a few seconds and it was all that Minato needed.
Death got to work as it easily ripped through each and every persona with ease, sending their users crashing to the ground in utmost pain. Minato charged forward and punted Akihiko in the head, finally knocking him unconscious.
"AKI!" Shinjiro growled, ignoring the pain that was spreading all his body, the tall teenager dashed ahead and slammed the deranged persona user into the ground, pounding his face in repeatedly.
Minato blocked the tenth strike and let out a roar of his that made Shinjiro cover up his ears. Minato grabbed a hold of his dual swords and slashed the beanie clad teenager all over his body. He kicked Shinjiro away and swallowed the blood that was pooled in his mouth.
"IO!" The attack caught him off guard and the buffeting winds ripped the flesh off his bones and smashed Minato into wall once again.
"UGH!" Minato tried to launch a counterattack but Aigis sped past Yukari and tackled Minato into the wall, shattering it into debris. Minato snarled in hate and kicked the android away. He stood up and saw everyone except Akihiko and Junpei still standing.
"KILL THEM ALL!" The voice repeated yet again.
"Get ready to die!" Minato laughed again and it made Takaya grin again. Strega was sure having a great time by seeing their worst enemies beat the crap out of each other. Yes, it included Minato.
Aigis shot a round of bullets but Minato rolled away and shot a ball of flames for the android, engulfing her from head to toe. "HAHAHAH!" He relished at the sight but he was smashed into the wall once again as Mitsuru slashed him across his chest.
"CASTOR!" Shinjiro summoned his persona once again, looking to stomp Minato into the ground.
Minato sidestepped from being trampled to death. He ignored the persona and threw one of his sword right for the user. The cold steel lodged right into Shinjiro's knee, making the senior yell out in pain.
"Senpai!" Yukari pressed the evoker to her temple again. "Medi-" Minato dashed ahead and grabbed a fistful of brown hair. He swung Yukari around and sent her crashing down the steps and into the basement.
Only Mitsuru and Aigis remained. Fuuka was sobbing in the corner and Minato had saved her for the last.
"The time is near..." Takaya smirked. SEES was going to die soon.
Minato was quite busted up as well, bleeding and his body aching all over but he paid it no mind. His insanity was controlling him again and no matter how much the team yelled Hamuko's name, it only pissed the deranged persona off.
However...
The yelling had awakened the sleeping redhead upstairs...
Minato dug his sword out of Shinjiro's flesh and crossed his blades once again, the same insane grin plastered over his face. Mitsuru was close to losing consciousness. She was thankful that their new member Ken wasn't around and was spending the night at some friend's house.
"..." Mitsuru swallowed the lump in her throat. This was the end of SEES...
Minato shot for the two once again. He dodged Aigis' fist and slashed Mitsuru right on her shoulder, sending the redhead backwards with another scream of pain.
Aigis shot a bullet which Minato deflected with his sword and rushed forward for the android. Minato harnessed an Agi spell into fist and drove his heated knuckles into Aigis' chest. The force sent the android flying, and she ended up smashing into the television which exploded moments later, damaging her further.
Minato hammered Mitsuru onto the ground and raised his sword up for the final attack. He was about to finish this all! He wanted was about to slaughter them all!
He was stopped when light footsteps were heard.
He momentarily tensed up.
"It's that redheaded bitch," The voice laughed. "Kill her!"
Minato kicked Mitsuru to the side and faced the stairs. There was only one member left and it was Hamuko.
Takaya tensed up as well and narrowed his eyes at the staircase.
Minato started to pant as the footsteps came closer and closer.
He gripped onto his blades tightly, ready to battle her.
Hamuko stumbled down the steps, her eyes glazed over and her body sweaty as usual. Minato bit his lip as the voice kept demanding him to kill the her the moment she comes near him.
"..." Minato kept on staring at the stairs as Hamuko slowly came into his view.
Takaya took a step forward and whispered. "Go on..."
"Dammit!" Yukari magically crawled her way up the stairs. "Hamuko, turn back!" She yelled at her best friend as Hamuko stepped onto the lounge and observed the carnage that was the result of the bloody battle between her friends.
Hamuko ignored the groaning coming from her friends and looked straight into Minato's eyes.
"... Hamuko..." Minato whispered as the moment he laid his eyes on her, his insanity cracked somewhat and he regained some control of his senses. The redhead kept staring at the battered blunette who tried to glare at her but it came across as a really pitiful one.
Minato's lips quivered as Hamuko slowly made her way towards him without a sound.
"..." The fool took a step back, his body beginning to sweat. He was shivering too, actually.
"..." Hamuko kept walking as the rest cried at her to stop but she was oblivious to the screams. Minato kept backing away, almost scared. He could kill her... She toyed with him after all. She used him as a meat shield and she deserv- His thoughts were thrown out of the window went his eyes went lower.
Minato's heart somersaulted its way towards his throat as his eyes fell onto the numerous slashes on her wrist, some of them relatively fresh and deep. "What..."
"... Why did you..." Minato continued whispering as Hamuko kept walking like she was possessed.
"Minato..." Hamuko whispered, causing the teen to freeze up momentarily. Her voice sent his crazed soul into several levels of comfort and warmth.
"Hamuko..." Minato muttered, taking a step forward this time.
"..." Mitsuru watched on as Minato's face went from a crazed grin to a severely pained expression in seconds.
It had been so long. For both of them, it felt like like a decade...
The two slowly closed the distance between them and this time, Takaya was biting his nails as the rest of his friends looked on.
The two came to a stop just inches away from each other. Hamuko locked her crimson orbs onto his silver ones and it made Minato wobble.
"KILL H-" The voice retreated to the back of his head this time as Hamuko whispered his name once again. Minato bit his lip once again as Hamuko reached out for him.
He gripped his swords tightly as Hamuko slowly came closer and wrapped her arms around Minato, pulling him into a tight and warm embrace. Minato shivered at her warmth. It put his soul at ease for the first time in a long while and the ever building levels of rage and blood lust slowly began to die down.
"... Hamuk-" He was cut off by her voice once again.
"I missed you so much," The redhead whispered, tightening the hold and snuggling closer to him.
"Kill her, you fool!" Takaya yelled at him but Minato didn't seem to listen as he began quivering in his boots once again.
"I-I knew you'd be back," Hamuko bit back the sobs. "T-They told me that you left me..."
"Left you..." Minato repeated as his his heart wrenched painfully at the mere thought.
"I kept beating myself..." Minato bit back the tears that were welling up in his eyes. "... I lost the will to live.."
Minato dropped his blades to the ground and let out a deep breath. "..."
Hamuko looked above and gave him a warm smile that instantly put his entire body and soul at rest. The ever building darkness around his stoned heart dissipated and Minato shakily wrapped his arms around the petite redhead.
"You might have thought I was lying..." Hamuko took a deep breath and gave him another warm smile. "But I really do love you..." She finished, placing a soft kiss on Minato's neck that made him shiver once again.
"Hamuko..." Minato stammered as the warm memories flooded into his brain like a river, making him hold on tightly onto the redhead. "I-I love you too..."
Mitsuru smiled despite the pain... He hadn't forgotten.
Yukari let lose a few stray tears. He hadn't changed.
Fuuka finally stopped crying and smiled at the two teenagers.
The pain assaulted Minato's body fiercely but he didn't lessen the grip around Hamuko who was smiling for the first time in a long while.
"She nearly killed herself for you!" Yukari yelled out, causing Minato's eyes to widen. "She didn't eat or sleep, just because of you, asshole!" The other members of SEES began to stir as well.
"She did this..." He looked over to her scarred wrist once again and cringed. "Because of me..." He whispered to himself.
Takaya took a step back with a click of his tongue.
Hamuko felt something stir in the sea of her soul as time froze around the two fools, accompanied by the smashing of glass.
Death Social Link Level 6...
Minato paid the phenomena no mind. He leaned below and kissed her on the forehead which made the redhead smile once again.
"We lost him..." Tsukio snapped. "To be expected from the love struck fool!"
Minato's eye twitched a tad bit.
That reminded him...
"She used you as a meat shield," Takaya's lies hammered into his brain this time and it made the blue haired demon clench his teeth. That fucker!
Minato kissed her on the forehead once again and slowly pulled out of the embrace. He picked up his blades and let out a deep breath, Strega was in a world of hurt now.
"Shit..." Jin whispered as Keima gulped and took a step back.
Minato's eyes regained their usual cold, frightening stare and his rage began to grow for the members of Strega. The demented teenager slowly turned around and looked right into the souls of all those fuckers, causing all of them to shiver.
"I guess I was wrong..." Minato said out loud. "I'm not ashamed to admit it," He smirked. "I was a fool to underestimate love," He looked back at Hamuko who was slowly regaining her usual charm. "My love for Hamuko is stronger than my rage..."
He looked back at Strega and pointed his sword at them. "You motherfuckers will pay!"
"Come to your senses!" Takaya yelled at him. "Remember, your pride is at stake! You swore on your pride!"
"To hell with my pride!" Minato snapped back instantly, silencing Takaya. "What good is my pride if I don't have anything to live for!?"
"..." Takaya gritted his teeth.
"I've caused all this..." Minato whispered. "But I've made up my mind! I won't let her suffer anymore!"
"Minato..." Hamuko whispered as Minato walked forward.
"I swear on my parents, I will end everything that pains her!" Minato swore, crossing his blades and readying for battle once again. Strega quickly composed themselves for the battle. "It starts with you!"
Minato held his fist up, his sanity and humanity returned to him. Hamuko had saved him once again.
Took a while because honestly, we lost the motivation way back. :T Don't be surprised if the next chapter takes another long while.
Anyway, here we are! Did anyone of you honestly thought that the past 40 chapters of build up and fluff was going to waste? Nope. What happened was just a cruel twist of fate. If Hamuko didn't faint in the older chapters and had followed Minato into the back alley, there was a pretty good chance she would have made him come back. Yep, he does love her that much. Death inside them acts as magnets, so course they are close to each other.
The starting was kinda sucky but I think it picked up pretty nicely in the middle. Thanks to the sadist group for helping me write this. Thanks a ton guys.
I gave a hint way back in the Akihiko vs Minato, if Shinjiro was able to calm him down with just a stare (because he was in his debt) Hamuko would have no hard time pulling him out from insanity. Like I said, it was just a cruel twist of fate, she collapsed and went into depression and because of that, she couldn't scout him out, leading him to believe that she turned his back on him. I know, we are kinda cruel. :P
Love is a powerful weapon and yep, Hamuko calmed Minato with just one look. He might be the devil itself but he's still a lovestruck teenager. Keep an eye for the voice in his head, like I said before, this will be a huge part later on. And yes, it has link as to how Minato was able to take the entire SEES down (welp, Aki and Junpei were injured too but whatever)
