Chapter summary: The Autobots arrive at the Milky-Way Galaxy.

In what felt like no time at all, but really it was five minutes, Omega came out of warp drive near the outer spiral of the Milky-Way Galaxy, he slowed to a more reasonable speed so his engines could have a respite.
"Wow, that was so quick!" Ome said with a smile, she had never been in a Guardian when they used their warp drive and had found it exhilarating.
"I'm glad none of us get travel sickness" Bulkhead commented.
"How do you feel old friend?" Ratchet asked.
"I feel alright, I'm getting some twinges in my engines" Omega replied "superficial damage"
"Well you did a good job Omega" Optimus said before looking to Ratchet "Ratchet, head to the engine room to see the damage, fix up what you can"
Ratchet unbuckled himself before getting up "You got it Prime" he replied "you may experience some pain when I fix your engines Omega"
"I have a high pain tolerance, I'll be fine" Omega assured.
"Either way, tell me if you feel too uncomfortable" Ratchet replied.
"I will" Omega replied.
Ratchet then walked out of the bridge.
"Man that warp drive was rough" Bumblebee commented.
Prowl rolled his optics behind his visor "Omega did warn you" he retorted "if you're going to purge your tanks, go to the airlock"
"Purge my tanks? Me?! Pssh, I've got tanks of steel" Bumblebee replied with a smirk as he pointed a thumb at his own chest.
"And a processor like lead" Ome said with a smirk.
There was a choked noise from Omega, before he made a sound that sounded suspiciously like he was trying not to laugh.
Optimus covered his mouth to hide his own snicker "Now Ome don't be rude" he said, doing his best to sound stern but failing miserably.
Bulkhead didn't bother to hide his amusement "Heh, she got you there little buddy" he added.
Even Prowl let a smirk show on his face.
Bumblebee was speechless since the comeback Ome made was flawless, he grumbled and sat in his seat.
Ome smirked, looking quite proud of herself, and relaxed in her seat "That'll shut him up for a bit" she said quietly.
Omega coughed in a vain attempt to cover up his laughter "Now that's enough Ome, no need to be rude to Bumblebee" he replied, but the amusement was too obvious in his voice to take him seriously.
Ome giggled.
Optimus chuckled "Be sure to keep track on the Nemesis Omega" he said.
"I am" Omega assured after getting his amusement under control "they are using hyperdrive, so it will take them an hour or two to reach us, which will give Ratchet enough time to repair the damage to my engines" he did feel a few twinges here and there from Ratchet doing his repairs, but it didn't faze him.
Ome smiled and looked out the window "Have to admit, this galaxy is really nice" she said.
"It is yes, first time we have seen it up close" Omega replied, a smile in his voice.
"Where will we go from here?" Bumblebee asked.
"Once Ratchet is done, I will try to find a planet to land on to rest, and figure out a way to conceal the AllSpark's energy signature" Omega replied.
"Sounds like a plan to me" Bulkhead replied with a smile.
Optimus nodded "Try to find a planet that has a stable atmosphere, it would be more ideal than being on a planet that's too hot or too cold" he said.
"I will" Omega replied as he continued to fly alongside the Milky-Way Galaxy scanning for an ideal planet to land on.
"Anything?" Bumblebee asked.
"There are quite a few possible planets" Omega replied as he banked to fly into the galaxy itself since he didn't want to stay in one place for too long with the Decepticons on their tail "some are within a parent star's habitable zone"
"Uh, what's that mean?" Bumblebee asked.
"It's when a planet has the ideal elements for life, if a planet is outside the habitable zone it'll be either too hot or too cold for life, but if it's in the middle it's just right" Ome explained "stars have different habitable zones depending on how hot they are"
"Exactly" Omega said, he couldn't help but feel some parental pride that teaching his daughter about Astronomy had paid off "the other thing to be aware of are space objects such as Black Holes, Pulsars, things like that"
"Black holes are bad right?" Bumblebee asked.
"Yes, they have a strong gravitational pull, the bigger it is the stronger the pull" Omega replied.
"And a pulsar?" Bulkhead asked.
"They are formed when a large star collapses in on itself once it runs out of fuel in its core" Omega replied.
"Yeah some spin really fast" Ome added "they emit two beams of light as they spin, but the light beams would be dangerous since they let off radiation"
Omega made a sound of agreement.
"How do you know all this?" Bumblebee asked.
"It's common knowledge amongst the Guardians, we had to learn about Astronomy since our alt modes are ships, so there would have been occasions where we would need to fly into space" Omega replied.
"I didn't think the others knew about Astronomy" Ome said.
"They did but they didn't talk much about it, you heard it more from me since I was teaching you about it" Omega replied.
Ome smiled and nodded.
Half an hour later
Ratchet returned to the bridge "All good Omega, as you said it was superficial damage" he said and sat down.
"I thought so, but thanks Ratchet" Omega replied.
"Omega bring up the radar, I want to see how far the Decepticons are from us" Optimus said.
A holographic radar appeared on the screen "I still have them in my sights, they've gained some ground but since we're inside the galaxy they can only really rely on their own radar" Omega explained.
"Can't you cloak your signal?" Bumblebee asked.
"I have, but the problem is the AllSpark's energy signature is stronger because of its power, so it would still show up on their radar" Omega replied.
"So they're going to follow us either way" Prowl summarised.
"Exactly" Omega replied "all we can do is prepare for the inevitable fight"
"Let's hope we don't get lost" Bumblebee commented.
"Well bear in mind that I've never been in this galaxy before, eventhough I have my navigation system I'm essentially going in blind" Omega replied.
"But at least you'll know what to avoid in terms of space objects" Ome said.
"There is that yes" Omega agreed.
