Minato glanced at his fist blankly. "I was so close…" he murmured, clenching his hand as a scowl formed on his face. "So close to smacking some sense into that fool…"

"So close to repaying every slap…" he growled.

"Goddamn," he stood up and looked out the window, barely able to control himself as he remembered the Love Hotel operation where Hamuko beat him to a blood pulp.

"What the hell got into me?" he wondered, walking outside his room. "That I started liking that weakling…"

"She's nothing special," Minato said to himself. "She's cute but that's all. I should have gone for Mitsuru instead…"

"Tch, I need to get my mind off stuff," Minato stomped down the steps, heading for the door. The Dark Hour came and went and it was almost 2 o'clock. Hamuko actually put a curfew for Minato that he had to be back at the dorm at 12:30 but the blunet didn't give a shit about that now.

"Stupid woman…" Minato spat, ignoring the fact that Pharos was trying to glare a hole in his head.

"Hey where are you going!?" Mitsuru ran down the steps but Minato ignored her and slammed the door shut before heading out for the club.

The redhead sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. Minato was markedly different than before, even to Hamuko. In the past few weeks, he had grown a little bit friendlier to the team, mostly due to Hamuko's insistence but all of that as gone.

Mitsuru could feel it. He was the same demon that arrived on the first day and beat the hell out of Akihiko.

The same demon that had killed and slaughtered dozens of people.

"Just what is going on…." Mitsuru questioned herself. Minato did a 180 on Hamuko so suddenly. This was something more than a spat.

Meanwhile, Hamuko was busy controlling herself. She was seriously about to lash out and slap the shit outta Minato. "No…" she breathed out, clutching the bed-sheet tightly. "I need to remain calm…"

"Minato is not normal…"

"If I don't help him then who will…?" she breathed out and leaned back. "I have to remain calm and help him…"

"No matter what…" she grabbed a hold of his photo from the side-desk. Hamuko glanced once at his goofy smile and giggled slightly. Nothing felt different to her, despite the fact that she no longer had Death. She still liked him just like before.

"I have to help him…" she repeated. "He's a human just like me."

"He's carrying a baggage that no one can understand," Hamuko kept repeating those sentences over and over again, trying to supress her rage and it was slowly working.

Minato nearly started a fight with a bouncer and was seconds away from killing him on the spot but luckily, another one came up to stop the fight and Minato handed him a couple of yen so he could go inside.

Minato stepped into the club and looked around to see anyone worthy. "Huh…" a few girls were giggling in his direction but he shrugged, all of them were ugly as hell. "I've had better…"

He walked over to the counter and grabbed a nearby bottle.

"Hey! What gives!?" the nearby punk growled at him.

Minato took a sip and glared him down, releasing a little bit of killing intent.

"All yours buddy," the punk cowered before yelling at the bartender. "Get my bro the finest one you got!"

"Get lost," Minato spat, taking another sip.

"Yes sir," the older male quickly ran off and Minato sighed in peace. Taking another sip, Minato shook his head, trying to get Hamuko out of his mind. He could help but puke at the thought of her.

"Ugh," Minato called for another shot and rested his head against the counter. "Another case of teenager hormones being bitches… but why?" His hormones were perfectly controlled for over a fucking decade, why freaking Hamuko of all people!?

"Hey there…" Minato felt a hand on his shoulder and he was seconds away from turning around and blasting the fool but stopped when the person slurred something else into his ear.

"Catherine…" the blonde whispered into his ear with a giggle.

Minato took another sip and sighed. "Well, whatever now…"

..

….

Minato couldn't remember shit. Something happened but the moment he opened his eyes, it was almost morning and he was alone in the bed. "The heck did she go…?" he moaned, getting up and clutching his head.

"This is one bad hangover…" stumbling forward, Minato took a look at his cell-phone and hissed in disgust. 20 freaking missed calls from Hamuko and Yukari.

"Goddamn," Minato had half a mind to stay here but the room had a crappy air-con, unlike his dorm-room.

"Catherine, huh?" Minato took another sip of alcohol and started making his way outside. "Hope I can run into her again so I get to smash her face. Stupid bitch…" he spat and stormed out of the hotel.

Minato walked his way towards the dorm, not noticing someone very familiar stalking him from the shadows because his senses were already dimmed due to the alcohol.

"Interesting…" Theo whispered from the shadows, quietly walking behind the drunken teenager.

Minato ignored the vibration in his pocket.

Theo slithered closer and closer, grinning when he finally saw the dorm in his line of sight.

Minato smashed the door open and Theo pressed himself against the wall, eager to know what happened to Hamuko.

Minato stepped inside and Hamuko jumped off the couch.

"Thank heavens you're back," she rubbed her eyes that were bloodshot due to being awake for so long. "Welcome back, Minato."

Minato grunted in annoyance as Hamuko walked closer to him.

"Ugh," she cringed due to the smell coming from the blunet. He reeked off alcohol. "A-Are you drinking again?"

"Yeah, problem?" Minato said aggressively.

"Calm down," Hamuko gave him the smile that always calmed him down but this time, Minato snarled in hatred, clenching his fists again.

"Where were you?" Hamuko asked but Minato ignored her and started walking towards the steps.

"Please tell me?" Hamuko said, hoping that Minato would listen.

Minato walked a few steps and collapsed to the ground. "Shit…" his brain was swimming in alcohol at this point, he had taken way too much and now, his senses were barely functioning.

"Minato," Hamuko ran over to him and grabbed his shoulder, trying to help him stand. The smell nearly made her barf, Hamuko absolutely hated the smell but she pushed it aside and helped Minato stand up on his feet.

"G-Get away from me," Minato tried to shove her away but Hamuko saw it coming and sidestepped the shove. Minato lurched forward and fell face-first to the floor.

Hamuko shook her head and tried to help him again. "Let me help you…" she whispered.

"Grrr," Minato snarled in response. "You've helped me enough."

"Minato," Hamuko sighed. "You do know I love you, right?"

"My ass," Minato growled as he grabbed her wrists and started to pull. He wanted to rip her hands off but at this point, he was so drained and weak that Hamuko barely felt it. "You treated me like a bitch! Don't think I forgot all those slaps and beatings!"

Hamuko nearly growled. "LOOK!"

"Don't yell at me, you bitch!" Minato screamed back.

Hamuko clenched her fists again. "You know damn well what my intentions were. You were the one who laughed at first. Don't say stupid shit like that!"

Minato widened his eyes and grabbed a hold of her ribbon. "Who you calling stupid, huh!?"

Hamuko's eye twitch, her patience was wavering.

"Stupid," Minato spat and let go off her ribbon. He stood up once more and started making his way towards the steps.

Hamuko placed a hand on her chest, hoping to calm down but as Minato brushed past her, Hamuko's eyes widened in horror and surprise. "W-What…"

Minato was stopped in his tracks as Hamuko grabbed his collar and pulled it down.

Minato pulled away. "Leave me alone!" he yelled at the shocked redhead before hurrying up the steps, not looking back even once. Hamuko didn't stop her as several graphic images formed inside her now vulnerable mind.

There was a small mark on Minato's neck. "That can't be…" Hamuko swallowed the lump in her throat, shaking her head furiously. "No, no, no!" that couldn't be a hickey.

Hamuko pulled on her bangs and her eye began to twitch again. Minato reeked off alcohol and she knew very well the place he usually got that putrid drink from.

Minato was in club escapade, no doubt. "…" Hamuko's head began to burn, she knew for a fact that it was full of girls, especially at this time.

"…. He's spitting," Hamuko made her way up the steps. Slowly, she glanced towards Minato's room which was shut. "On everything we shared…"

"Dammit," Hamuko cursed and kicked the steps hard, hard enough that her own foot started to pain but the redhead paid it no mind. "Dammit, dammit, dammit…." she cursed all the way to her own room and when she got inside; Hamuko exploded and lost herself in rage.

The redhead trashed and yelled, flipping tables and smashing everything that came into her view. "Everything…" she remembered every single moment she shared with Minato, the good and bad. Usually she would smile but this time; Hamuko gritted her teeth, her head burning due to the anger.

A single stray tear travelled down her cheek and Hamuko dropped to the ground, lying motionless in the middle of her wrecked room. "…"

"He's long gone…." she whispered.

Theodore grinned and walked away from the dorm, chuckling to himself. "Interesting development…" Minato and Hamuko were finally divided. Minato hated her for some reason and Hamuko was starting to let go off him too.

Theodore rubbed his chin; he was growing tired of the two fools now. Minato was his sworn enemy since he had crossed him so many times and Hamuko, well, Theo had grown tired of her too. Her fear, helplessness and vulnerability made him interested before but now, all of those traits were going away, Hamuko was far stronger than before.

The platinum blonde male shook his head, deciding to keep this information away from Takaya. He never cared for that little group, he only wanted Hamuko and now, it was the time to put an end to the circus that was going on for so long.

"Death…" Theo gave a maniacal smile, the deathly vibe swirling around the being of pure power. "Corruption is wonderful…"

He looked back at the dorm. "I'll be back soon, Hamuko…" Minato didn't have much time to live, his death was just days away. "Just a few more days…" laughing to himself, Theo walked away from the dorm.

Minato's vision blackened for a few seconds and his gut began to pain. "Ugh, the time is close…" he murmured.

As soon as his vision returned, Minato got up and gulped down a pill to fight back the pain. "Damn fusions…" he growled, thinking of the golden eyed bastard. "All his fucking fault…"

Eventually, he shrugged and leaned back on his bed. He had nothing to live for at the moment, nothing. Before, it was all about Hamuko. Living and fighting to make sure he could see her smile but now, that motivation was long gone.

"Hahahaha!" Minato started to laugh, an insane smile sliding into his features. "Come quickly!" he held his hands out. "Death, come quickly! I'm just about done with this fucking shithole."

"HAHAHAHAH!" Minato started to laugh harder. "Bonds and love, what a pile of horseshit."

"Got me nothing but goddamn pain and heartache!" Minato started to punch himself on the face, over and over again, busting his own face up. "Come closer, death! Embrace me!"

Pharos shook his head as he stood in the corner of his room. "Brother…"

"Hahahaha," Minato smashed his head against the frame and collapsed to the bed but despite that, he was still laughing. "All glory to Death!"

The next time Minato smashed his head into the bed, Pharos cringed. Cringed for a human. Cringed for a mortal. "Brother…"

Thinking back to that one night years ago, Pharos bit his lip. "What have I done to you…" the child cringed again as Minato started and shouting to the heavens, obviously out of his mind due to the alcohol and most importantly, his imminent death. Minato had no idea how to deal with that. His life was just a few days long now and Minato was sure, his death was going to be horrifically painful…. And all alone.

"It is all because of me…" Pharos whispered.

"Hahahaha!" Minato pulled on his bangs, his face now sporting a crimson-mask. "Fuck Hamuko! Fuck me for falling for that bitch…"

Pharos disappeared into the darkness. "The time has ended…"

"Brother, I'm sorry…." Pharos' face cracked apart but Minato couldn't see him because he was still in the shadows.

Death eyed his vessel and winced. "This will be painful…" his own forehead began to pain for some reason. "Even for Death itself..."

Raidou: Sup? Hope you enjoyed the chapter, and also hope you got puzzled by it, too. Cause if you did, guess what? I'm the one who's gonna give you the answers about that in my stories. So yeah. As always, critics and opinions in the review bow below, I am Raidou the 16th, and I approve this message. *thumbs up*

Nightly : Another quick update. Sorry to people who are waiting for fallen messiah but hey, my co-authors are pumped for this story and so am I because this is THE arc. This pretty much opens the ending and finally finishes all the build up. Just the execution. Expect something crazy and horror (I'll try) in the next chapters. The next one will take a while because it is crazy so I apologize in advance.

Yes, Catherine. Why? I got no idea. This sorta links this story with the one Raidou is writing and nope, he didn't sleep with her. :P He thinks he did but nope.

Also, Minato isn't a fallen messiah in this story, that's another one but if that's a msg/request to me to update fallen messiah quickly then you'll kinda have to wait for a while.

Thanks for the support as usual. See you.
