Chapter Seven:
It was the middle of the night, and another Justice League meeting had just ended. Many, if not almost everyone, were tired, but they still were in good spirits and happily talking to each other, all but two. As the other leaguers made their way to leave, most likely to their homes, two stayed behind. One was typing away while frantically searching for something or, in this case, someone while the other was watching them, worried for both their health and mentality.
Diana watched Bruce type away on the supercomputer in the Batcave for what seemed like the thousandth time. It was quiet; the only thing that could be heard was the sound of him typing. This is what she would hear whenever it was just the two of them alone; no talking, no whispers, nothing, just the sound of a keyboard. It has been like this ever since she drunkenly revealed her secret to the person; she never wanted to tell it to, at least not yet.
After becoming pregnant, she told her fellow Leaguers that she was visiting home, but instead, she went to Japan. She wanted time alone, and while there, she planned to make sure herself to see whether or not the baby was Ares or Bruce's as a result of a drunken night of passion.
'Maybe I shouldn't drink so much.' She thought to herself as she realized both of these things came from her drinking so much, and both involved her drinking around Bruce. Although from the brief moments she held her daughter, she was sure she was Bruce's, and that's exactly what her drunk self told him.
Ever since then, he would only speak to her during meetings when spoken to, and even then, it was short, clipped responses. She didn't want to think about Jason and Damian's glares they would send her every time they saw her. The others weren't as bad, but they weren't happy with her too, and she couldn't blame them.
Sighing heavily, Diana took one last look at Bruce, silently debating to try to talk to him before deciding against it and walking away from him to go home.
