CJ and Ryder ran as quickly as they could until they finally jumped out from the entrance of the building. The building eventually exploded, and everyone that were still inside were all killed and burned to death. CJ removed his goggles as he and Ryder watched the building explode.
"That's one less crack dealership to worry about!" Ryder shouted. "And one traitor eliminated! Grove Street 4 life!"
"Yeah," CJ agreed. "But I can't help but still feel fucked up about all of this."
"Hey, he made his decision, so he paid the price," Ryder said.
"Let's just focus on taking down the real villain here, Ryder," CJ told him.
"Well well well," they finally heard a familiar voice from behind. "What have we here?"
The duo turned to see Tenpenny armed with a combat shotgun.
"Tenpenny!" CJ growled.
"I see you've finally got that fat fuck, Carl," Tenpenny told him, pointing at the now-demolished building. "Pulaski was right! I should've ended you when I had the chance! But the problem is I'm just too nice a guy. Now you've really gone mad, and I'ma make you pay the price, boy. We should've did the same thing to Russell Chief after he got his ass kicked for speeding. You miss yo' mama? Well you're gonna be able to hug onto her soon, as well as your little brother."
CJ and Ryder dropped their weapons as they both glared at Tenpenny. "You ain't leaving out here alive, man!" CJ told the corrupt cop. "Not after all you done!"
Tenpenny just laughed. "Like you got what it takes to take me down," he boasted. "It's a shame your brother didn't come with you to help out. That's why he was locked up in the first place!"
He then turned to Ryder. "And what about you, you stoned-as-fuck midget?!" the corrupt cop told him. "You're so stupid and stoned, it's a wonder how you're even able to walk and talk properly. I'm sure your sister is already ashamed of having you as a relative. She already took a bullet in the leg last year and is lucky to still even be walking."
Then Tenpenny turned to CJ. "And you, Carl Johnson, my man," he said sarcastically. "You are definitely one stone, cold gangster! You killed Pulaski, many of the members of C.R.A.S.H., practically every leader of the Ballas and Vagos, and now the fat fuck you called your friend. There's no stopping you."
"You sure are one to talk," CJ said. "At least I have most of my friends. Who you got to have your back now, huh Tenpenny? Who you got to stick with you? How does it feel to be all alone, huh Tenpenny?"
"What the fuck makes you think I'm all alone?" Tenpenny asked. "I still got a bunch of rookies out here. I just gotta open their eyes slowly, y'know. Little truth here, little truth there."
Tenpenny had totally lost it, CJ thought.
At this point, it wasn't a point for CJ to waste a bullet on the corrupt cop. "You lost," CJ muttered nonchalantly. "You gone. You don't even know who you are anymore."
"Half this city is looking for cops to kill, Carl," Tenpenny told him, "and I ain't about to be dragged out of a patrol car and get beat to death by some angry mob. No no, not tonight."
"So whatcha catching – a plane?" CJ asked.
"Ding ding ding ding ding!" Tenpenny chanted, imitating a bell sound. "Good answer, Carl! You know, you guys are gonna thank me one day for opening your fucking eyes. Oh wait! I almost forgot!"
Tenpenny then cocked his combat shotgun and aimed for the duo. "Time for both you motherfuckers to die." Tenpenny then prepared to do CJ and Ryder in. They just stared confidently.
"Shoot me, motherfucker!" Ryder told the corrupt cop, holding his hands up. "I ain't scared to die! I'm ready to die! If I die tonight, I'll die a motherfucking genius!"
"Yeah, I'm ready too," CJ added. "Go ahead, Tenpenny. Shoot me!"
So CJ and Ryder stared at the cop, ready to take the bullet. CJ was no longer afraid. If he were to die, at least he would die a man. After all, he'd rather die with confidence than live by running away like a punk.
"Tenpenny, you motherfucking piece of shit!" they then heard Sweet say distantly. They all turned to see that Sweet was running towards Tenpenny. "I ain't letting you get away with all you've done!"
"Ah shit!" Tenpenny said.
He then held tightly onto his weapon and took off running to a parked firetruck up ahead. "It ain't over, Carl!" he said. "It ain't over Carl, you motherfucking piece of shit gangbanging cocksucker!"
CJ then looked back to see a parked Feltzer to the side of the road. "Come on, Ryder!" CJ said. "We gotta go after Tenpenny!"
As Tenpenny started the firetruck, CJ then watched in horror as Sweet had hopped onto the ladder of the back of the firetruck just as it began to accelerate.
"Sweet!" CJ yelled as he saw Sweet dangling from the hanging ladder of the moving fire truck.
"You ain't getting away with this, Tenpenny!" Sweet shouted, holding on to the moving firetruck. "We're gonna fuck you up!"
As Ryder hopped into the back seat, CJ hopped into the driver's seat of the vehicle and sped after the firetruck.
The truck drove around East Los Santos and made a sharp left turn.
"Hang on, Sweet!" CJ shouted.
"Eyes on the road, CJ!" Ryder told him. "We gotta keep up to Tenpenny and make that asshole pay for what he did!"
The chase continued through the neighborhood of East Los Santos and up a steep hill. Sweet continued to hold his grip on the fire truck ladder hanging behind. The chase continued through Las Colinas and onto a dirt hill.
"I'ma piss on your corpse, Tenpenny!" Sweet bellowed. "I ain't losing this fool! Oh shit!"
"Don't let go, Sweet!" Ryder called out as the firetruck returned back on the road. "Hang in there!"
As the chase continued going on through Las Colinas, a group of Vagos were throwing Molotov cocktails at CJ and his friend as they chased after the fire truck. CJ ignored them and continued focusing on the escaping fire truck.
The firetruck then dashed through Glen Park and made a left turn through the alley. It made a right turn and continued down the street of Jefferson. Sweet continued to hold on to the ladder as tight as he could.
"CJ! Ryder!" Sweet shouted. "Do something!"
"Just keep hanging on, bro!" CJ called to him.
It was getting difficult for CJ to keep his speed going due to the pedestrians going crazy and the other vehicles catching fire and blowing up. But he wanted to keep his brother safe and was determined to get back at Tenpenny for everything he did. So the chase continued through Idlewood and onto the train tracks.
"Don't crash into any trains now, CJ!" Ryder shouted. "We still gotta save Sweet! We ain't got time to die!"
So CJ navigated through the train tracks to stay on the firetruck until he heard a blaring horn. CJ saw that there was a train coming from the opposite direction.
"Look out for the motherfucking train, CJ!" Ryder shouted. "THE TRAIN!"
The train blared its horn even louder, and CJ sharply turned the wheel to turn the vehicle to the left side, barely avoiding the oncoming train that rapidly zipped through.
"Ah man, that was a close call!" Sweet yelled, still holding on to the ladder of the firetruck. "I ain't letting this bastard go!"
CJ knew how stubborn Sweet was and wasn't going to let a corrupt cop escape and leave the whole city an anarchic calamity. So the chase continued on the railroad tracks and through the Ocean Docks. CJ looked up ahead as the chase continued on the road, and to his horror, he saw that one of the cops inside the firetruck hopped out, climbed onto the top of the firetruck, and to the ladder, stomping on Sweet's fingers. Sweet was about to fall off.
"ARRGHH!" Sweet shouted as the cop stomped hard on his fingers, causing him to gradually lose his grip with his left hand still on the ladder. "MY FINGERS!"
"Let go, you stubborn bastard!" the cop shouted, stomping on Sweet's gripping hand.
"Get closer, CJ!" Ryder shouted. "Don't let Sweet fall off!"
Sweet was holding on to dear life to the ladder, and the cop on top continued crushing his fingers, loosening Sweet's grip completely. Just as Sweet had finally started falling off, CJ dashed quickly and finally made it to the firetruck to catch Sweet just in time.
"Gotcha!" CJ shouted as Sweet climbed into the vehicle.
"Shit, almost got caught slippin' there, Sweet," Ryder told him.
"No pun intended!" CJ replied. "Take the wheel, bro! It's payback time!"
"F'sho, bro!" Sweet answered as he and CJ switched places.
"Keep up to that motherfucker, Sweet!" Ryder told him. "Don't lose him!"
"I'm on it!" Sweet announced, riding after the firetruck. "Time to take that pig bastard down!"
While Ryder remained in the back seat, CJ shot at the two cops that were outside of the moving firetruck. Several bullets tore through the two cops each at a time, killing them instantly. One of their corpses was hanging limp from the edge of the ladder, while the other one fell onto the road.
"That firetruck is indestructible!" Sweet said. "We ain't gonna dent it! Watch our six, cops on our tail!"
CJ looked behind him to see two police cars chasing after him. He pulled out his machine gun and fired rapidly at the two police cars as Sweet continued to drive through East Beach. After numerous shots fired at each vehicle, the police cars each exploded as Sweet made a left turn on Las Colinas to chase after Tenpenny.
Just then, the Vagos even started shooting at Sweet and the others.
"Ah shit!" Ryder shouted. "We got some Vagos blasting at us!"
"Vagos rioters coming up!" Sweet shouted. "This city's gone nuts!"
"Well I ain't gonna sit here watching!" Ryder shouted, pulling out his machine gun. "Time to return the favor!"
So Ryder used his right hand to fire back at the Vagos along with CJ as Sweet continued chasing after the firetruck. The chase continued through East Los Santos, and more police cars were chasing after CJ and the others. Everyone around the riotous hood were really going wild, and fire was spreading everywhere as the Vagos tossed Molotov cocktails at CJ and co.
Soon, more Vagos were chasing after then while driving Hermeses and Voodoos. CJ and Ryder continued to shoot after the vehicles chasing them.
"You know something? I'll take back what I said a while back!" Ryder shouted. "This whole riot out here is even worse than World War VIII! At this point, we may as well call this the end of the world as we know it!"
"Not if I can keep up with this bastard!" Sweet responded as he continued to chase after Tenpenny through East Los Santos. "I'll keep up with Tenpenny, don't y'all worry! Concentrate on keeping all these other lunatics off our back, guys!"
"You got it, bro!" CJ told him.
"No prob, homie!" Ryder added.
CJ and Ryder continued shooting at the vehicles chasing after them. One by one, each vehicle blew up after catching fire, and more cops and Vagos were chasing after them on vehicles. They drove under the bridge, where the gang members were throwing Molotov cocktails at them from above.
"Rioters on the bridge up ahead!" Sweet warned CJ and Ryder. "They're dropping shit from that bridge! Look out, guys! Watch our six!"
Sweet managed to dodge the weapons thrown at him and the others as he drove right under the bridge to continue chasing Tenpenny. As Sweet drove through Ganton, he then checked his rear-view mirror to see that the gangs were now after the foursome on motorbikes. "Some rioters after us on bikes!" Sweet told CJ and Ryder.
The latter two turned to see the Vagos chasing after them on motorbikes. So they continued shooting at the rioters chasing after them while Sweet continued chasing after Tenpenny driving the firetruck.
"Damn, talk about about intensity!" Ryder shouted as Sweet drove through the bridge on Willowfield. "They all after us!"
"Man, I still ain't gonna forget Smoke's order here!" CJ said as Sweet zoomed past Cluckin' Bell. "That dude ate all our food!"
"We'll have plenty more time to reminisce later, CJ!" Sweet told him, driving across the alleyway. "Right now, focus on keeping those crazy bikers off our tail while I concentrate on bringing that bastard Tenpenny down! He ain't getting away with this! Cops on our tail too!"
CJ and Ryder then fired back at the cops cars that were also chasing them as the chase continued through the Ocean Docks. Just then, there were even more cops right in front of them as they returned back on the road.
"Cops up ahead!" Sweet shouted. "Where'd all these assholes come from?!"
CJ and Ryder didn't answer and just continued shooting at the cop cars chasing after them. One by one, each cop car caught on fire and eventually exploded.
"Down in flames!" CJ bellowed. "DOWN IN FLAMES!"
"C.R.A.S.H. can't stop us!" Ryder added vociferously. "Ain't no match for Grove Street OGs!"
"That's my dogs!" Sweet cheered.
Soon, the chase continued through Idlewood as the cops continued to appear out of nowhere during the chase. There were even pedestrians shooting at the cops and firetruck as the vehicles continued riding through the road. CJ then looked ahead and saw that the firetruck had made a left turn on Ganton and crossed the bridge up ahead.
"It's over, Tenpenny!" CJ shouted. "OVER! I'MA STOP YOU, MOTHERFUCKER!"
The chase scene continued straight down the road, and the firetruck made a right turn on East Los Santos. The vehicle then made another left turn and drove straight down. CJ and Sweet then looked ahead to find that the firetruck was now losing control and on the verge of crashing.
"He's losing control!" Sweet shouted.
"That punk ass bitch ain't go no place to escape now!" Ryder shouted.
"We got the motherfucker!" CJ added.
Before they knew it, the firetruck then crashed through the left side of the overpass above Ganton and tumbled down onto the street below with a tremendous crash. The impact of the crash caused the glass of the windows to shatter. The car doors were dented and almost unhinged. Eventually, an injured Tenpenny slowly staggered out of the vehicle, badly injured and barely moving. Blood saturated his police uniform and trickled from his face. He coughed violently.
"Come on, assholes!" he shouted. "I'll take you all. You're mine! MINE! I run this town!"
Tenpenny then waved ahead calling for help. "Hey over here, HEY!" he shouted desperately. "Officer down! COME ON, HEY!"
Tenpenny then dropped to the ground, still clutching onto his stomach and coughing out blood. He was barely crawling.
"Assholes!" Tenpenny shouted. "You never understood what I did. Fifty of me and this town would be okay. I took the trash out. I DID - and I'd do it all again...!"
It wasn't until CJ, Sweet, and Ryder approached the dying cop with CJ armed with a Desert Eagle ready to do the corrupt officer in.
"Give me one good reason why anybody would want to help you, Tenpenny!" CJ muttered. "You fucked us all! You tried to tear down my city, you hired a loan shark to conspire against my gang, you paid the Ballas to murder my brother, you killed two innocent officers, you tried to frame me for murdering the first one you killed, you started this riot, you manipulated all of us! Now it's time you get yours, officer!"
Tenpenny didn't say anything. He was still wheezing uncontrollably and soon, his mouth was saturated with blood. CJ prepared to finish the officer himself, but Sweet held him back.
"Don't... don't do it, bro," Sweet told him as Tenpenny took his final breath right before eventually dying from his injuries. "He's gone now."
He was right. As Ryder knelt down to the lifeless cop, he put his fingers around his throat. "No pulse," he announced. "He for sure ain't gonna live now."
You know what? CJ thought. Sweet's right. Maybe putting a bullet in this motherfucker is too much. It's best to let him die on his own.
CJ then tucked his weapon to his belt. "I just want to be sure it's over," CJ replied. "That's all."
"It's cool!" Sweet told him. "Don't need to put a bullet in him. He killed himself in a traffic accident. No one to blame. Let's roll!"
"Jeah," Ryder added. "Let's bounce!"
Just then, Truth came out of nowhere right in front of the trio.
Where the fuck did he come from? CJ thought.
"I mean, far out, man!" Truth told CJ. "You know, I mean, you beat the system. I tried for thirty years to cross over. But you've managed it! I mean, you're an icon, man."
"Oh," CJ said. "Thanks, man!"
"He right, CJ," Ryder told him. "You sure came a long ass way. I guess you ain't no busta after all."
"Gee, thanks, Shermhead," CJ replied as he and Ryder playfully shoved each other once.
"So CJ," Sweet told CJ. "What's up with Smoke?"
"Honestly Sweet, I don't think Smoke ever intended to sell us out," CJ told Sweet. "I think that crack and money went to his head. This was all Tenpenny's name written on everything Smoke did. I never felt so bad to off anyone in my life."
"I told you," Ryder added. "That's what happens to dope fiends who fuck with that crack. That's why I only stuck with sherm and not that crack shit. But in the end, after what happened to me, I'm better off clean. Better keep that shit off our street."
"And that is the surest path to hell, man," Truth chimed in. "Well, that and 15 microdots and an ounce of mescaline."
"Come on," Sweet announced. "Let's say a heartfelt goodbye to our former Grove Street member now that this riot is done for."
While Sweet and Ryder strolled back to the Feltzer, CJ took another quick glance at Tenpenny's bloody corpse and turned it over. Tenpenny's mouth was hanging wide open and saturated with blood. His eyes were shut tight. It was the most satisfying moment of CJ's life. Another cop has finally bitten the dust. The best part was that Tenpenny's death marked the end of the Los Santos Riot, and Grove Street was finally above the Ballas and Vagos now that every leader was dead.
"See you around, officer!" CJ whispered smugly to Tenpenny's corpse as he waved his finger around the would-be cop's face, and he walked away.
