Chapter 2: Potential
Cam'Ron walked into the juice bar to see Jason and Billy swinging on a rope. He walked over to Zack and Kim after seeing Jason and Billy fall.
" So how'd yesterday go for you guys?" Cam'Ron asked
" We should be asking if your okay we left you with all those putties." Trini said concern laced in her voice.
" Oh don't worry about me I know can defend myself and they didn't even stay after you guys left." he said forcing a sigh of relief to wash over all of them
" Anyways Billy what did you want to show us when you came here?" Zack asked
" I finally completed a narrow beam transmission module that will allow wave function over an extended interval. Aren't you excited." Billy said seeing the looks of confusion on most of his friends faces.
" He created a communication device using microwaves." Cam'Ron said causing looks of surprise to adjourn their faces.
" You speak Billy." Zack stated shocked
" Well I mean I have to be somewhat smart to skip a grade.." Cam'Ron announced
" You skipped a grade!" Kim said shocked
" Yeah but back to Billy's device." Cam'Ron said trying to get attention of him. Billy then pulled out 5 watches from his locker.
" See? Now we have a connection to Zordon and Alpha. In the command center" he explained
" This is Morphenomenal." Kim exclaimed as Billy handed out all the watches. Obviously Cam'Ron being the only without 1.
" They respond to tactile pressure. Followed by auditory stimulus" Billy explained
" So what you're saying is that we just touch and talk?" like this." Trini said as her Jason, kim, and Zack pressed the button teleporting themselves. However what was really surprising was that Cam'Ron was also teleported. Billy was left pondering what happened that caused them to teleport.
" Uh oh incoming!" Alpha stated knowing all the teens were about to teleport. They all appeared in the command center piling on top of Alpha.
" It appears they malfunctioned." Billy said
" Oh welcome homeboys, homegirls." Alpha said
" Too much tv." Zack said
" Can someone please explain to me how I ended up here I don't have a communicator." Cam'Ron spoke up
" I commend your latest invention, Billy. Not only have you created communicator you tapped into the command centers teleportation unit. With proper adjustments it will allow you to teleport here in an emergency." Zordon said " As for you Cam'Ron we need to finish all the test to figure out what your connection to the morphing grid is." After this was announced Alpha took Billy's communicator and began tweaking it while Cam'Ron was told to go to one of the rooms in the back of the Command Center. After a while Cam'Ron was finally released walking out of the dark hallway. He was met with the sight of emptiness.
" Zordon where did everyone go?" Cam'Ron asked
" They are fighting Rita's latest monster." was the simple reply
" Guess I'll wait here until they get back." Cam'Ron replied
Cam'Ron Pov
I felt myself being shook awake from the crook I fell asleep in. Opening my eyes I saw Kim staring down at me.
" Hey wake up its getting late." Kim said
" Thanks for waking me up." I said " Where's everyone else?"
" They went home already." she replied " I didn't want to leave you here by yourself."
" Thanks I guess well I guess we better go then." I said leading her outside the command center. We began to walk from the Command Center getting to know each other. Well really it was her just telling me about everyone and me just listening until we got back to town.
" I'm sorry I was rambling wasn't I anything interesting you want to tell me about." Kim said
" I can't say anything that wouldn't make you and the guys view me as a charity case." I said
" No ones gonna look at you like a charity case." Kim said
" Fine but only if you promise not to tell the other." I stated
" I promise." she replied
" I'm adopted and I never even got to meet my birth parents. And even tho my Adoptive parents are cool and everything I pretty much live alone since their jobs require them to travel alot." I said. I instantly regretted it however. see her face change into that look of sympathy. Right now she's probably thinking about how tuff I've had it compared to her and that is honestly the last thing that I need.
" I'm so sorry." she began
" Don't be I'm perfectly fine making friends isn't always an option. And don't think about how hard my life is I'm here and I'm perfectly fine." I said cutting her off. After that there was silence for about 20 minutes before I decided to break the silence. " Don't feel bad I just don't want anyone's pity life deals everyone cards these are mine."
" I guess I still feel kinda bad." Kim said. This would pretty much end the night for us as we arrived at Kim's house. I walked her to her door and was preparing to leave until I felt her pull me back. " Thanks for walking me home."
" Anytime Kim." I said before walking off waving back at her.
